Abstract

Abstract

The Community Park Planning Program in RT 22 RW 02, Lebakwangi District, Kuningan Regency, West Java, was designed to develop a functional and sustainable green public space to support social interaction, recreation, and residential environmental quality improvement. The planning process covers site condition analysis, community needs identification, park spatial layout design, vegetation selection, and provision of supporting facilities—including playgrounds, pedestrian pathways, and seating areas—using an eco-friendly approach based on local materials and climate-adaptive plants. Community participation was emphasized across all stages: planning, implementation, and maintenance, in order to build collective ownership of the space. Pre-test and post-test results from 20 respondents recorded a 68% increase in public understanding of green space functions. The program is expected to improve residential environmental quality, strengthen social cohesion among residents, and support the local government's agenda for sustainable green area development in Kuningan Regency.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the water quality of the estuary of the Batangharileko River based on factors of physics, chemistry and biology. The results showed that the water quality of the estuary of the Batangharileko River by physical factors already meets the criteria of raw water for class I, II , III and IV. While chemical parameters already meet the criteria class III water quality standards. Water Appropriation Category I is for the raw water of drinking water, class II for facilities/infrastructure recreation and freshwater fish breeding, class III for fishery cultivation and watering the plants, the Group IV for watering plants. Biological parameters in this case is the abundance, diversity index and dominance index, Batangharileko River estuary has undergone minor contamination although physiologically not appear on macrozoobenthos life

Abstract

This study investigates the optimization of fermentation time and temperature to improve tempe quality produced by household-scale artisans in Padaringan Village, Purwadadi District, Ciamis Regency, Indonesia. A descriptive qualitative approach was employed through direct observation over four consecutive days, with measurements recorded every three hours for temperature, relative humidity, and physical–sensory characteristics of tempe. The results demonstrate that fermentation follows a biological progression consisting of adaptation, active growth, optimal maturation, and degradation phases. During the first 24 hours, microbial adaptation and early mycelial growth occurred under temperatures of 27–32°C and humidity levels of 72–91%, producing soft texture and mild aroma. Optimal quality was achieved between 24–48 hours at stable temperatures of 27–29°C and humidity of 80–88%, characterized by uniform white mycelium, compact texture, and pleasant characteristic aroma. Beyond 48 hours, quality gradually declined as metabolic degradation intensified, indicated by texture softening, discoloration, and sharper odor. By 72–96 hours, tempe entered a post-optimal phase unsuitable for consumption. These findings confirm that fermentation duration is the most practical control factor for maintaining consistent quality in traditional production systems. Adjusting fermentation time according to environmental conditions provides an effective, low-cost strategy to enhance product quality, stability, and competitiveness among small-scale tempe producers.
