Abstract

The rapid development of digital technology in the era of the Industrial Revolution 4.0 and Society 5.0 has significantly influenced the implementation of Islamic Religious Education (PAI). Conventional learning approaches are no longer sufficient to meet the characteristics of Generation Z and Alpha students who are closely connected to digital media. This study aims to examine the forms of digital learning media used in PAI and their roles in supporting students’ motivation, engagement, and understanding. This research employs a qualitative descriptive approach through library research by reviewing relevant academic journals and scholarly books. The analysis focuses on identifying dominant types of digital media, their educational benefits, and the challenges faced in their implementation. The findings indicate that interactive multimedia, video-based learning, gamification, and immersive technologies help students understand abstract Islamic concepts more concretely and encourage active participation in learning. However, the effectiveness of digital learning media is highly dependent on teachers’ pedagogical readiness, digital competence, and supporting infrastructure. Therefore, thoughtful integration and continuous teacher development are essential to ensure meaningful and value-based PAI learning in the digital era.

Abstract

Reading literacy is a fundamental competence that plays an essential role in developing students’ critical thinking skills. Reading ability is not merely understood as the capacity to comprehend texts literally, but also includes the ability to analyze, evaluate, and synthesize information. This study aims to systematically examine the role of reading literacy in enhancing students’ critical thinking skills based on a literature review. The research method employed is library research by reviewing primary sources such as national and international journal articles, academic books, and relevant research reports. The findings indicate that reading literacy significantly contributes to the development of critical thinking skills through the enhancement of analytical abilities, argument evaluation, problem-solving, and reflective thinking. The integration of effective reading literacy strategies in learning processes has been proven to encourage students to become active and critical learners. Therefore, reading literacy plays a strategic role in supporting the achievement of 21st-century educational goals.

Abstract

Islamic Cultural History (SKI) education plays an important role in shaping students' historical understanding, Islamic values, and character. However, SKI education still faces various problems, such as monotonous teaching methods, limited learning media, low student interest and motivation, and difficulty in understanding chronological and conceptual material. With the development of technology, the use of digital platforms has become one of the innovative solutions to improve the quality of SKI learning. This study aims to examine innovations in SKI learning through the use of digital platforms and analyze the benefits and challenges in the learning process. The research method used is library research, by reviewing various sources such as books, scientific journals, and relevant literature related to SKI learning and educational technology. The results of the study show that the use of digital platforms such as audio-visual media, social media, e-learning, educational games, and artificial intelligence-based technology can increase students' interest, motivation, and understanding of SKI material. Learning becomes more interactive, contextual, and encourages active student participation. In addition, digital platforms also help teachers deliver material more effectively and efficiently. Thus, digital platform-based SKI learning innovation can be a strategic alternative in responding to the challenges of SKI learning in the digital era, while supporting the achievement of Islamic education goals oriented towards character building and digital literacy of students.

Abstract

A fresh look at how lessons in faith shape student drive begins with quiet reflection. Because inner spark matters more than rote effort when schoolwork feels meaningful, attention turns to classroom moments rooted in belief. One way into this idea comes from gathering insights found in published works rather than live surveys or tests. Pages from trusted authors those who write textbooks, peer-reviewed articles, government records are pieced together like fragments of a larger picture. What holds these pieces is a shared thread: education shaped by religious values may quietly feed a learner's will to keep going. Not every page says the same thing, yet patterns emerge where meaning sticks. Looking at earlier research and theory, the information was studied through careful sorting methods. Not just isolated ideas, but links emerged between how religious classes are taught and what drives students to learn. When lessons feel relevant, when they mean something real in daily life, attention grows stronger. Teachers showing consistency in values matters too it adds weight, makes things stick. Motivation rises because of inner drive, yes but also from outside encouragement shaped by respect. Something deeper forms alongside: a sense of purpose rooted in faith. Learning begins to look different not only tasks to finish, yet acts tied to growth and devotion. This shift does not happen overnight, still it shows up clearly in patterns found here. Religious education isn’t separate from overall development it quietly holds everything together. Its effect runs wide, touching willpower, mindset, even long-term direction in school life.
