Abstract

The availability of quality feed for ruminant livestock remains a major challenge for smallholder farmers, especially during the dry season when forage resources become limited. One practical solution is the utilization of Urea Molasses Block (UMB) as a low-cost supplementary feed that is easy to produce and capable of improving feed intake and digestibility. This community service program aimed to enhance the knowledge and technical skills of members of the “Satria Kelud Perkasa” Livestock Group in Gadungan Village, Wates District, Kediri Regency through training on the production of UMB using locally available ingredients. The training was conducted using lectures, demonstrations, and hands-on practice. Program effectiveness was evaluated through pre-test and post-test assessments to measure participants’ knowledge improvement. The results showed a significant increase in participants’ understanding of the functions, composition, and production techniques of UMB. Participants successfully completed all stages of production—including weighing ingredients, mixing, molding, and drying—and produced UMB blocks with good physical quality that were readily accepted by livestock. The activity also strengthened the group’s independence in providing supplementary feed, thereby improving feed efficiency and the potential productivity of their ruminants. This program demonstrates that a participatory approach combined with simple technology transfer is highly effective in improving farmers’ skills and encouraging the adoption of innovations. It is expected that the livestock group will continue producing UMB independently and apply it sustainably in their ruminant feed management.

Abstract

This article examines the reconstruction of fiqh al-aqalliyyat as a framework for legal adaptation addressing the complex socio-legal challenges faced by Muslim minorities in non-Muslim majority societies. It focuses on the methodological frameworks developed by Abdullah bin Bayyah and Muhammad Yusri Ibrahim, two prominent contemporary scholars whose works have significantly shaped minority jurisprudence. Employing a comparative doctrinal and analytical approach, this study examines their primary writings sinaʿat al-Fatwa wa Fiqh al-Aqalliyyat and Fiqh al-Nawazil li al-Aqalliyyat al-Muslimah to identify the epistemological foundations, legal reasoning patterns, and normative objectives underlying their approaches. The findings demonstrate a clear methodological divergence: Ibn Bayyah emphasizes maqāṣid al-shariʿah, tahqiq al-manat, and contextual legal reasoning rooted in the Maliki tradition to enable adaptive and purpose-oriented rulings, while Yusri Ibrahim adopts a more textualist and precedent-based framework within the Hanbali school, prioritizing juristic continuity and doctrinal restraint. This article argues that fiqh al-aqalliyyat should be understood not merely as a collection of legal concessions (rukhaṣ), but as a systematic methodological paradigm that negotiates normative fidelity and contextual responsiveness. By reframing minority fiqh through the lens of legal adaptation, this study contributes to contemporary debates on Islamic legal methodology, minority rights, and the future development of Islamic jurisprudence in pluralistic societies.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the marketing efficiency of ruminant livestock in Mojosari Village, Kras District, Kediri Regency. The methods used in this research include observation and active participation to collect data regarding the marketing structure and the buying and selling patterns of cattle and goats. The study was conducted in Mojosari Village, Kras District, Kediri Regency, by calculating livestock marketing costs. This research is expected to provide insights for farmers in improving marketing practices and strategic decision-making. The results of this study indicate that the marketing of ruminant livestock in Mojosari Village is already efficient.

Abstract

Kegiatan pengabdian ini bertujuan melakukan penguatan manajerial pada para anggota Karang Taruna Putra Laskar Pelangi Desa Jugo Kabupaten Kediri untuk meningkatkan mutu dan kualitas sumberdaya manusia dalam mengelola usaha, khususnya usaha pengolahan aneka produk berbahan susu sapi perah. Business Model Canvas (BMC) dapat digunakan dalam menemukan peluang bisnis yang lebih baik, mengurangi risiko, dan menciptakan keunggulan kompetitif. Penerapan BMC dalam praktik bisnis, berpeluang pelaku usaha dapat merancang model bisnis yang lebih adaptif, efisien, dan berorientasi kepuasan konsumen. Metode pengabdian mengunakan pendekatan partisipatif dengan pembelajaran andragogi, peserta secara aktif terlibat dalam proses belajar tentang BMC untuk membedah kondisi usaha yang dijalankan. Berdasarkan fakta diketahui bahwa: 1) peserta dalam menjalankan usaha sebanyak 96 persen belum pernah mengunakan BMC sebagai alat menyusun rencana dan proyeksi usaha, setelah mendapat materi BMC dan praktik menerapkan BMC peserta mengetahui peta dan posisi usaha. 2) berdasar hasil belajar peserta dengan mengacu skor pretes dan postes dinyatakan ada peningkatan hasil belajar peserta tentang BMC, namun masih mengalami kesulitan dalam mendeskripsikan kondisi. Mempertimbangkan hasil tersebut masih diperlukan pendampingan secara berkala sehingga penguasaan lebih komprehensif serta usaha yang dijalankan dapat berkelanjutan.
