Abstract

Abstract

The cause of the problem of low learning outcomes for fourth grade students at Pogo Lede State Elementary School in mathematics subjects consists of teacher and student foctors. Teachers are less creative in delivering material, do not use media that, can attract students’ attention and interest in learning, focus more on using prinred books, and do not involve students. Apart from that, he also has difficulty in calculating. This makes students feel bored, fed up and sometimes students just sit still during the learning process so that the material provided by the teacher cannot be received optimally, causing the learning outcomes of class IV students at SD Negeri Pogo Ledeto still be below average. This research uses classroom action research (PTK) techniques because the research is carried out to solve problems that occur in the claasroom. In classroom action research improvements are carried out gradually and continuously as long as the research activities are carried out. Therefore, in PTK there is an implementation cycle in the from of a planning pattern. Carrying out observations and reflections so that in the next dycle it reaches the level you want to achieve. Based on the background above, the researcher chose to apply the puzzle game learning method. This method can make students activel discuss in class or in small groups to formulate the title improving learning outcomes using puzzle game tools on operation material counting mixed integers class IV Pogo Lede State Elementary School

Abstract

This study aims to determine students' mistakes in solving story problems on number pattern material in class VIII of Rangga Rame Private Junior High School for the 2023/2024 school year. The type of research used in this study is qualitative. The subjects in the study were students of class VIII Rangga Rame Private Junior High School with a total of 17 students. The object of this study is the analysis of student errors in solving story problems on number pattern material. Data collection techniques there are tests and interviews. Data analysis techniques go through three stages, namely data reduction, data presentation, and conclusions. The results of the data analysis showed that the overall percentage of students who made mistakes in solving story problems on the number pattern material reviewed from the Newman procedure at the problem reading stage was 0%, the problem understanding stage was 71%, the transformation stage was 92%, the process skills stage was 98%, and the answer writing stage was 98%.

Abstract

The Academic Potential Test is a test that aims to measure a person's abilities in the general academic field. This test is also often associated with intelligence. Currently, apart from selecting prospective students at universities, The Academic Potential Test has also become a standard test in the selection of Civil Servant Candidates and in the recruitment of private employees and employees of State-Owned Enterprises. Based on the background above, it is necessary to measure the ability of students from the Mathematics Education Study Program at Catholic University Weetebula in solving test questions. This needs to be done as a first step in determining the abilities of prospective graduates. The method used in this research was by giving a written test in the form of test questions to 56 students and interviews with 9 students who took the test. The instruments used were 40 test questions and an interview guide. The data analysis techniques used are reduction, presentation and drawing conclusions. The test results show that students who get the low category are 84%, students who get the Average category are 7% and students who get the high category are 9%. The interview results showed that students were able to understand the test questions given, but students had difficulty determining how to solve them, so students were unable to determine the correct answer

Abstract

This research aims: to find mathematical aspects found on the roof of a loura traditional house, apply the mathematical aspects found in learning the roof of a loura traditional house. This research was conducted at SMKN 2 Tambolaka City class X. This type of research is research and development (Research and Development). Data are obtained from the results of filling out observation sheets and, tests and taking documentation. Loura traditional houses have mathematical aspects such as triangles. The results obtained from the implementation of the research showed an increase, this can be seen from the results of student answers on student worksheets and an increase in student activity in terms of questions and answers in class and their active and critical way of thinking. Likewise, the learning outcomes of each action showed improvement. Thus, it can be concluded that the use of learning media in trigonometry material on the roof of a loura traditional house at SMKN 2 Tambolaka City based on the results of research can improve mathematics learning outcomes and teachers can try to apply this method so that students are active and motivated in learning mathematics

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to determine students' mathematical communication skills after the application of the problem based learning model of number pattern material in grade VIII students of SMP Negeri 4 Loura. The type of research is a descriptive qualitative method. Data collection uses interviews and documentation. The data analysis process is carried out qualitatively consisting of data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion drawn. The results of the study showed that from each level of the percentage level of the student communication ability category, namely the percentage level of the high category was 20%, medium 20% and low 60%. The impact of this ability is that students do not relearn the material that has been given during learning and do not pay attention to the researcher delivering the material
