Starting from the problem of music learning which has been developed by the use of the internet and YouTube at SMA Negeri 3 Payakumbuh, the researcher conducted a research with the aim to explain that the use of Youtube videos can improve the learning outcomes of students in XI MIPA-2 of SMA Negeri 3 Payakumbuh.The theory used in this research includes learning and instruction, internet based instruction, instruction done through YouTube videos, use of lecture and presentation methods in instruction, and learning outcomes theory. This is a quantitative research with a true-experiment-design approach. The study population was all students of grade XI, and the sample was class XI MIPA-2 (as the experimental class) and XI MIPA-3 (as the control class). The results of observation, interview, and literature study were used as the research instruments. The results statistically prove that the hypothesis test for H1 is accepted while the null hypothesis H0 is rejected. The data, which can be explained qualitatively, show that YouTube video integrated with the Powerpoint shows used by the researcher in providing music instruction through lecture and presentation is easier to understand.

AbstractThis article aims to find out and describe the use of the instrument test performance on learning the art of dance in the CMS National 2x11 Kayutanam. The method used is descriptive qualitative approach method of analysis. The object of research is the teacher of art and culture (dance) National 2x11 ayutanam CMS. Research instrument is the interview guidelines, notes the observation and study of the literature. The data analysis techniques is collecting data, data presentation, data meredaksi and verify the data. Findings from the research tells us that the use of the test instrument performance in National 2x11 SMK kayutanam already applied by the teachers of art and culture as well. So the use of a performance test instrument made in the RPP can be maintained by the teacher to assess and measure the ability of their students in learning. Abstract The background of this research is based on the low of the students, interest play sarunai. Specially to the students of grade X in SMAN 5 South solok. The goal of this research is to reveal that the using of demonstrasion can increase the students, interest in playing sarunai in grade X-1 in SMAN 5 South Solok. The benefit of this research is as the input for the art and culture teacher especially in SMAN 5 South Solok in increasing the interest of students in learning play sarunai.This research is class action research that in done by using the model of cycle that divided into 4 steps that is planning, action, observation, and reflection. The sample of this research is the students of grade X-1 SMAN South Solok semester 2 january-june 2013 with 30 students. The instrument that is used is observation sheet as tally list. That contents of analyzed by using the percentage formula P= (F/N) X 100%.The result of the research shows that there is the increasing of the students, interest in playing sarunai in cycle 1 is 54,6 % and in the 2 is 81,9 % it means there is the increasing the students interest to play sarunai by using demonstrasion method from the cycle 1 to cycle 2 is 27,3 %. Key words: the increasing of students, intereset play sarunai music by the demonstration method.

The purpose of this study is to describe the implementation of extracurricular drumband in SMA Negeri 1 Padang Ganting. The research method used qualitative research type with descriptive-analysis approach. Technique of collecting research data with observation, interview, and literature study. While data analysis is done by collecting primary data and secondary data. The result of the research shows that the implementation of the drumband extracurricular in SMA Negeri 1 Padang Ganting is in various problems, especially from the less trainer side, the boring material, the undisciplined students, the limited facilities, and no estuary of the drumband activities that cause students, And the drumband organization SMA Negeri 1 Padang Ganting can perform again. MENINGKATKAN MOTIVASI BELAJAR SISWA DENGAN MENGGUNAKAN MEDIA AUDIOVISUAL DALAM PEMBELAJARAN SENI BUDAYA KELAS VII DI SMP NEGERI 1 PAINAN Putri Johana; Harisnal Hadi; Yos Sudarman

Abstract This article aims to improve students' learning motivation by using audiovisual media in learning the art of music. The type of this research was classroom action research held in 2 cycles. The object of the research was the students of class VII-3, amounting to 32 students with 15 male students and 17 female students. The research instrument was the researcher herself and the teacher of Art Culture as observer. Data collection techniques used were observation, interview, questionnaire, literature study, and motivational observation sheet with happy indicator, attention, concentration, and persistence. The results showed that learning the art of music by using audiovisual media could improve students' learning motivation in class VII-3, and had a good impact on the process of learning music. This statement was evidenced by the average percentage of each indicator of motivation to learn which was on the indicator happy with the average percentage of 59% increased to 78%, and the indicator attention with the average percentage of 44% increased to 76%, the indicator concentration with the average- average percentage 45% increased to 78%, and persistence indicator with average 42% percentage increased to 73%. Thus, from result of observation obtained that the result of student learning motivation in cycle I with average 47% categorized medium and increased in cycle II become 76% categorized very high. Moreover, the results of questionnaires that have researchers distributed to students there was an enhancement that was in cycle I obtained by 76% percentage and in cycle II 88%. In summary, authors can draw the conclusion that the using audiovisual media learning art music in class VII-3 SMP Negeri 1 Painan has succeeded increase student learning motivation. Abstrak The formulatian of the research problem was “How was the teaching and learning process of Cultural Art (Music) conducted in class VIII-2 of SMP Negeri 14 Padang?” Based on this formulation, this research sought to explain the impelementation of basic skill of teaching and the teaching and learning process of Cultural Art (Music) conducted in class VIII-14 of SMP negeri 14 Padang. The theoretical review applied in this research was about teaching and learning process, the definition of teaching and learning process, the implementation of teaching and learning process, and teaching and learning process of music at scool. This was a qualitative research which applied descriftive analysis method. The result of the reserch revealed that the basic skill of teaching is very importand to conduct the teaching and learning process of music. This skill is closely related to the technical and non-technical ability of the teacher to conduct music teaching and learning process. There are eight teaching skills needed by the teachers to design the teaching and learning process, and the results could be seen in the learning activities in the classroom. This research purpose to for describe and explain how applying of method study of CTL in study of legitimate stage. Research type qualitative with descriptive approach of analysis. Technique data collecting through book study, interview and observation. Result of this research find that study steps conducted is forming group (learning comunity). Giving modeling, question and answer (questioning), student find Iesson items (inkuiri), conducting refleksion and authentic assessment to student. Assessment taken to passing test practice to the fore class grouply, while its value is group value and individual value. Abstract This article aimed to explain the efforts of empowering learning facilities in the learning of music arts at SMP Negeri15 Padang. The type of this research was qualitative research with a descriptive analysis approach. The object of research was school, teachers, and students who were involved randomly, that were some students who were practicing extracurricular self-development of music and students who were studying arts and culture (music) at SMP Negeri 15 Padang in the even semester of 2017/2018 school year. Research instruments were data documentation, observation and interviews. The results showed that even though most of the students attending SMP Negeri 15 Padang were underprivileged students, there was no funding specifically in the provision of musical learning facilities at school, the achievement and quality of self-development activities and the learning of music at SMP Negeri 15 Padang 15 yet could be maintained. Apparently, there was a strategy in terms of empowering learning facilities that support extra and intra-curricular activities which caused students to have a disciplined attitude and responsibility in using musical instruments for both types of activities. AbstractThis study aims to describe the pedagogic ability of teachers in cultural arts learning in SMA Negeri 12 Kerinci Jambi Province with the target of research were two culture arts teachers who teach Cultural Arts in the school. The method used in this research was qualitative research with descriptive analysis approach. While the object of research was the ability of teachers to implement KBM (Teaching and Learning Activities) in class X and XI SMA Negeri 12 Kerinci. The research instruments used were observation records, interview notes, documentation studies, and questionnaires to support data collection activities with observation techniques, interviews, documentation, and asking for students' responses. The results of the study describe the pedagogical ability of teachers in implementing the KBM, where the ability arises from the knowledge, experience, and talent in teaching which more determine the ability to teach the teachers than mere teachers who only seen from the suitability of educational background. Students of SMA Negeri 12 Kerinci have proved that Ms Mega Silvia has better pedagogic competence than Mr Herman Saidi, although Ms Mega Silvia is not an art diploma background but has a willingness and talent in implementing learning in class.
