Wulansari A, Sudarno S, Muhammad F. 2020. Analysis of medical solid waste generation at puskesmas in Bantul Regency. In: Herlinda S et al. (Eds.), Prosiding Seminar Nasional Lahan Suboptimal ke-8 Tahun 2020, Palembang 20 Oktober 2020. pp. xx. Palembang: Penerbit & Percetakan Universitas Sriwijaya (UNSRI).Medical waste generation of puskesmas in Bantul Regency has continued to increase over the past 6 years (2014-2019), however, medical waste management at the puskesmas is still not optimally implemented due to limited availability of resources. The problem has become complex with the Covid 19 pandemic which is predicted will increase the quantity of hazardous waste that comes from medical services. This study aims to analyze medical solid waste generation at puskesmas in Bantul Regency during the Covid 19 pandemic by collecting primary and secondary data at 27 puskesmas. Data analysed using analytic descriptive techniques. The results showed that average generation of solid medical waste at puskesmas in Bantul district was 16.11 grams/patient.day for puskesmas rawat inap and 8.31 grams/patient.day for puskesmas rawat jalan. After the Covid 19 pandemic occurred in March 2020 there was an increase in the average generation of medical waste at 35.74 grams/patient.day for puskesmas rawat inap and 23.21 grams/patient.day for puskesmas rawat jalan. The results of statistical analysis showed that there was no correlation between number of patients and amount of medical waste produced at each puskesmas. However, number of patients correlated with rate of medical waste generation at each puskesmas with a pearson correlation value of -0.621. Strategy that can be taken to optimize medical waste management is carry out internal sterilization of waste before it is transported by a third party and improve the quality of TPS limbah B3 at the health center.

Abstract

Processing by product of catfish (Pangasius pangasius) on domestic scale or industrial produces many problems related to polluting the environment. Fish processing industry activities always generate waste because it is used generally only part of the meat, head, offal (entrails), spines and skin removed. Catfish have oil content is high enough, so the catfish waste has the potential to be extracted fish oil are rich in benefits. Fish oils generally contain unsaturated fatty acids are eicosapentaenoicacid (EPA) and docosahecsaenoatacid (DHA). Unsaturated fatty acids are known to prevent many diseases such as atherosclerosis, coronary heart disease, lower blood cholesterol levels, cancer, platelet mellitus, diseases of the bone joints, asthma, and prevent the aging process. The purpose of Field Work Practice are learned the process of oil production fish waste from catfish (Pangasius pangasius). The Practice of Field Work has been carried out at the Balai Besar Pengujian Penerapan Hasil Perikanan (BBP2HP). The results obtained through observation, interviews and active participation in the manufacture of fish oil in BBP2HP includes the preparation of materials and tools, washing, weighing, heating, pressing, phase separation, making crude oil, and packaging. Raw materials used in the manufacture of oil is a waste of catfish (Pangasius pangasius). From 1 kg of waste catfish (offal, belly flap, head, fins, tail) obtained 116 ml crude fish oil. Section waste catfish has gone through the process of steaming and pressing which causes the water content there in is reduced. After that, the catfish oil packed in bottles.

Abstract

One of fishery products in Indonesia, namely shrimp. There are many products derived shrimp, there are frozen, fresh or shrimp species. Talk about International trade Indonesia one of which is exports, shrimp becomes a commodity which dominate the fishery exports, with the value of the donated amount of US $ 1.280 million, followed by tuna US $ 606 million, other fish US $ 700 million and fishery products other US $ 746 million. Exports of shrimp is the largest export value in penyumbangannya basis. Shrimp exports alone expanded to various countries in the world. The shrimp itself is set for Indonesia's main export commodity. PT. Grahamakmur Ciptapratama is one of the cold storage company exporters of shrimp that were in Sidoarjo, East Java. To maintain the quality of shrimp for export, certainly requires appropriate processes and technologies that support. It is also necessary human resources able to handle and process the shrimp according to the procedures applied. Based on the description above, the writer interested to know and assess the process of shrimp processing activities were noticed Critical Control Points (CCP). In the production process Frozen Vannamei Shrimp (Litopenaeus vannamei) in PT. Grahamakmur Ciptapratama, Sidoarjo - East Java, part of the raw material receiving, cooking, and a metal detector is a Critical Control Points (CCP), which needs to be maintained and monitored. The need for control of the CCP aims for the creation of food safety for consumers.
