Abstract

The apatite compound that is often used in medicine and dentistry is hydroxyapatite with the chemical formula Ca10(PO4)6(OH)2. Fluor ions can substitute hydroxyl ions from hydroxyapatite to form crystals with the formula Ca (PO4)6(OH)2-xF2x, with the value of x indicating the index number of hydroxyl groups (OH-) replaced by fluor ions (F-). This study aims to determine the effect of fluor ion substitution on hydroxyapatite on electrical properties and thermal stability. In this study, the hydrothermal method was characterized by X-Ray diffractometer (XRD), Fourier Transform Infra-Red Spectroscopy (FTIR), LCR meter, Thermogravimetry Analysis (DTA), and Differential Thermal Analysis (TGA). The XRD and FTIR analysis results showed that the samples obtained were in the form of hydroxyapatite, fluorhydroxyapatite, and fluorapatite, which was also indicated by the presence of functional groups PO43-, CO32-, and OH- group libration mode at a wavenumber of 740 cm-1. There was a decrease in the lattice parameter a and an increase in the crystal size as the substitution of fluor ions increased. Based on the results of the electrical and thermal properties characterization, fluorapatite has the highest conductivity and better thermal stability when compared to hydroxyapatite and fluohydroxyapatite.Keywords – Fluor, Hydroxyapatite, Hydrothermal, eggshell, Biomaterial

Abstract

The systemic nature of the risk of bankruptcy of financial institutions has become an important issue in maintaining the existence and stability of domestic and global finance. The use of statistics for bankruptcy prediction so far provides optimal benefits. However, this approach has limitations, especially since the model is built based on systematic relationships, so the linearity and normality aspects are often weaknesses. This can be overcome very efficiently through linear and non-linear patterns built by artificial intelligence models. One of the most popular of these techniques is the Artificial Neural Network (ANN). Many studies show that ANN and fuzzy set theory is more accurate, adaptive, and strong in predicting compared to statistical models. One technique to integrate ANN with fuzzy logic systems is through the Adaptive-Network-Based Fuzzy Inference System (ANFIS). ANFIS is an adaptive network that is functionally equivalent to fuzzy inference and has the advantages of ANN and fuzzy logic. One of the important features of ANFIS is its acclimatization capability where the membership function parameters can adapt and change in the learning procedure. Utilizing the ANN model and fuzzy logic for bankruptcy prediction is still very limited in Indonesia. Therefore, this study aims to construct a financial institution bankruptcy prediction model that is much more accurate, operational quickly, and effective through ANFIS as a hybrid of fuzzy logic and ANN. The results showed that ANFIS can be used to predict the bankruptcy of financial institutions with the best MAPE 0.140335507.

Abstract

Sudah tidak bisa ditutupi lagi bahwa saat ini Indonesia sedang krisis energi dimana permintaan lebih banyak daripada pemasokan energi listrik. Hal ini juga diiringi dengan semakin canggih teknologi akan semakin banyak membutuhkan energi listrik. Oleh karena itu, saat ini juga sedang disibukkan penelitian tentang energi terbarukan dimana bisa membantu perusahaan energi listrik konvensional. Salah satu energi terbarukan tersebut adalah pembangkit listrik tenaga surya, dimana energi cahaya matahari yang terserap ke sel surya dalam bentuk foton yang ketika energi ini mengenai permukaan sel surya, maka elektronnya akan tereksitasi dan menimbulkan aliran listrik. Namun tidak hanya komponen sel surya yang ada pada pembangkit listrik tenaga surya, ada beberapa bagian yang salah satunya adalah baterai sebagai tempat penyimpanan listrik. Baterai sangat berperan penting dalam pembangkit listrik tenaga surya. Jika baterai tidak diawasi dengan benar, maka baterai dapat mengalami penurunan performansi dan hal ini berkesinambungan dengan penurunan performansi dari sel surya. Ada beberapa parameter yang dapat mempengaruhi performansi baterai yang salah satunya adalah SOC (State-of-Charge). Dalam penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui estimasi SOC dengan aplikasi MATLAB dan pemodelan SIMULINK. Hasil yang didapatkan adalah baterai bekerja pada rentang SOC 30% untuk batas bawah dan 90% untuk batas atas dengan asumsi baterai yang digunakan adalah baterai baru yang belum mengalami banyak siklus pengisian dan pengosongan.

Abstract

This study examines the relationship of derivative hedging and firm value. With 1520 observations from 380 Indonesian non-financial firms. The research method used is quantitative explanatory with regression analysis panel data. We involved eight control variables to adjust the influence of external factors. We found that the application of derivative hedging strategies contributes to an increase in the firm value through risk reduction. We also found that commodity derivatives and currency derivatives play a more active role as risk tools than interest rate derivatives. In the context of economic uncertainty and high market fluctuations, firms are exposed to various financial risks, including currency and commodity risks. By implementing an effective hedging strategy, the firm can reduce cash flow volatility and increase financial stability. In addition, reducing uncertainty through risk management can improve investor perception and lower the cost of capital. This result is in line with the principle of Modigliani & Miller (1958) that the firm value is determined by the resulting cash flow. Thus, the practice of risk management is not only relevant but can also reinforce the propositions of Modigliani & Miller (1958) in a more realistic and specific context. The findings underscore the importance of proactive risk management in the face of dynamic market challenges. In addition, this study provides new insights into hedging practices in developing countries. With a better understanding of the impact of using derivatives, firms can manage risk more efficiently and increase their attractiveness in the eyes of investors. So that firm managers can plan the use of derivative instruments as an effective hedging strategy.

Abstract

This research has purpose to analyze the implementation of a simple lawsuit settlement to reduce the accumulation of civil cases in the Supreme Court. Also to aanalyze the constraints and obstacles in the application of simple claim resolution to reduce the buildup of civil cases and investigate the constraints and obstacles in the application of simple claim resolution to reduce the buildup of civil cases. This research is normative legal research that used the approach of statute approach and conceptual approach. The result of this research indicated that the implementation of simple lawsuit mechanismin court process could be quite helpful for citizen to settle the civil cases on state court with a quick process, simple system and low cost. In the context of implementing a simple lawsuit mechanism in court proceedings, there are several obstacles and have not maximally utilized in society, such as the minimum limit for the value of material claims is at most Rp. 200,000,000.00 (two hundred million rupiahs). [Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis pelaksanaan penyelesaian gugatan sederhana yang dapat digunakan untuk mengurangi penumpukan perkara perdata di Mahkamah Agung, serta menganalisis kendala dan kendala dalam penerapan penyelesaian gugatan sederhana guna mengurangi penumpukan perkara perdata. kasus perdata dan menganalisis kendala dan hambatan dalam penerapan penyelesaian gugatan sederhana untuk mengurangi penumpukan kasus perdata. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian hukum normatif dengan menggunakan pendekatan statuta dan pendekatan konseptual. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa penerapan mekanisme gugatan sederhana dalam proses peradilan dapat sangat membantu warga negara untuk menyelesaikan perkara perdata di pengadilan negara dengan proses yang cepat, sistem yang sederhana dan biaya yang murah. Dalam rangka penerapan mekanisme gugatan sederhana di pengadilan. Dalam proses persidangan terdapat beberapa kendala dan belum dimanfaatkan secara maksimal di masyarakat, antara lain, batas minimal nilai klaim materiil paling banyak Rp. 200.000.000.00 (dua ratus juta rupiah).]

Abstract

This study aims to identify and analyze the role of intellectual capital as a moderating variable in the relationship between governance and firm financial performance. Using panel data regression, this study analyses 412 observation units from 103 manufacturing companies listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange during 2018-2021. The results show that, partially, both governance and intellectual capital have no significant effect on financial performance. However, when the governance variable has interacted with intellectual capital and a moderation test is conducted, it is found that the interaction variable has a significant effect on financial performance with a positive coefficient. This indicates that intellectual capital acts as a pure moderator variable of the positive effect of governance on financial performance. This result implies that in the absence of high intellectual capital, governance proves to be inefficient in its efforts to improve the firm's financial performance

Abstract

The layout design at Warehouse III of XYZ Company is expected to solve the problem of material flow patterns and material movement distances which are currently still ineffective. Designing the right layout is carried out to increase warehouse productivity and help the company regulate the flow of processes and material movements so that it runs easier and smoother. This study aims to provide an efficient and effective layout of the proposed warehouse layout, by paying attention to the flow pattern and the optimal area area in increasing the productivity of warehouse III. Therefore, the Systematic Layout Planning (SLP) method is used in designing the layout of Warehouse III. The results of the study showed that there was a significant difference in the total material displacement distance from the initial layout. In the proposed layout, there is a reduction in the material displacement distance from 75.2  to 60.4 .

Abstract

PT. XYZ is one of the companies that has a machine shop department which is an environment where machinery and a form of subtractive manufacturing are carried out. Machine operator workers do their work for 8 hours per day with 2 breaks and less muscle stretching during their work activities. These activities cause operators to experience complaints of fatigue, discomfort, aches and pains in several parts of the body which can cause the risk of musculoskeletal disorders (MSDs). Based on these problems, an analysis of work posture was carried out using the Rapid Entire Body Assessment (REBA) method because it can assess the risk to all parts of the body. This study was conducted on the activities of grinding and inspection operators. Based on the results of the study with the calculation of the REBA score, it is known that the activities of the grinding operator got a score of 10, and the inspection operator got a score of 9, each of which has a high risk level and requires improvement. Proposals for improving the work posture of operators with recommendations for chair and table aids.

Abstract

This study aims to examine the effect of emotional intelligence on students' 4C (Critical Thinking, Creativity, Collaboration, and Communication) skills, with social support as a moderating variable. Explanative quantitative method was used with 119 vocational students of accounting and office administration as the sample through stratified random sampling technique. The results show that emotional intelligence has a significant effect on creativity, collaboration, and communication, but not on critical thinking. Social support only directly affects collaboration, but does not significantly moderate the relationship between emotional intelligence and the 4C skills. These findings confirm the importance of emotional intelligence in the development of 21st century skills, and show that the role of social support is still limited as a moderator.

Abstract

Riser flare stack adalah elemen yang sangat penting pada unit proses produksi minyak dan gas bumi dengan tugas utama membakar offspecification gas, sour gas dan over pressure process pengolahan minyak dan gas. Permasalahan yang dihadapi adalah kesulitan dekomisioning eksisting dan pemasangan riser flare stack penggantinya. Penelitian bertujuan memberikan metode solusi yang tepat atas permasalahan tersebut sehingga dapat menekan potensi kerugian akibat keterlambatan, potensi kecelakaan kerja dan potensi kegagalan pekerjaan. Penelitian ini menggunakan skema kebijakan strategis dengan pendekatan inovasi metode kerja atas permasalahan yang terjadi di lingkungan industri PT. XX. Identifikasi permasalahan dengan metode 5 why, penentuan bad actor penyebab masalah dengan metode fish bone, disain metode kerja dengan teknik 5W+2H, dan evaluasi tolok ukur keberhasilan dengan teknik pancamutu. Hasil penelitian menunjukan inovasi disain untuk mengatasi kesulitan pembongkaran riser flare stack dengan metode cut and down dan metode pemasangan dengan metode sit up dan overlap menggunakan material, peralatan dan tenaga kerja yang sama dipandang cocok dan sesuai digunakan.
