Abstract

A study has been conducted to test the use of electric fields to lower blood sugar levels on rats with type II Diabetes Mellitus. This study uses male rats (Rattus novergicus), aged 8-12 weeks weighing 150-200 grams, with a total of 31 rats. Therapy was conducted by putting rats in a chamber that emits an electric field every day for 1 hour for 28 days. To search for the optimum frequency of the treatment, frequency variations of 15, 30, 60, and 120 kHz were given. The electrical charge distribution of the air in the room was then measured, whereas mice blood sugar levels were also measured to reveal the effect of the treatment on cell tolerance to sugar, and to come up with the measurement of insulin levels at the end of the treatment. The results of measurements of the electrical charges in the air were very significant generally showing that the treatment with a frequency of 15 to 120 KHz for 4 weeks in the experimental animals could lower their blood sugar (fasting period), but the success rate significantly occurred at a frequency of 15 kHz. The decrease in fasting blood sugar levels after the treatment was probably due to the influence of the treatment (the influence of an electric field) that improved the regulation of insulin receptors. Improvements in the regulation of insulin receptor activities with high gluconeogenesis may be the cause of a decrease in fasting blood sugar levels that is not accompanied by improved cell tolerance to sugar. Keywords: Electric Field, blood sugar levels, insulin levels

Abstract

Penggunaan media pembelajaran sangat dibutuhkan salah satu mata kuliah gelombang dan optik. Salah satu solusi penggunaan media pembelajaran pada perkuliahan gelombang dan optik dengan menggunakan sensor serat optik untuk deteksi konsentrasi kolesterol. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeteksi konsentrasi kolesterol dengan prinsip perambatan sinar laser yang dipandu serat optik coupler sebagai profil berbasis intensitas melalui medium larutan kolesterol dengan konsentrasi yang bervariasi. Adapun variasi konsentrasi larutan kolesterol adalah 0 ppm, 50 ppm, 100 ppm, 150 ppm, 200 ppm, 250 ppm, dan 300 ppm. Mekanisme kerja deteksi konsentrasi kolesterol adalah perambatan sinar laser He-Ne panjang gelombang  632,5 nm melalui serat optik coupler pada larutan kolesterol dan dipantulkan kembali oleh cermin datar kemudian sinar pantul dipandu melalui serat optik coupler sehingga terdeteksi oleh detektor silikon SL-818 yang berupa tegangan output. Hasil pendeteksian  menunjukkan bahwa tegangan output maksimum menunjukkan penurunan secara linier terhadap peningkatan konsentrasi larutan kolesterol dengan sensitivitas 0,0016 mV/ppm dan linieritas lebih dari 96%. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan parameter dan kinerja sensor yang akurat sehingga memiliki potensi sebagai media perkuliahan gelombang dan optik.

Abstract

Penelitian ini untuk mengembangan media pembelajaran pada perkuliahan optik dengan menggunakan sensor serat optik bundle untuk deteksi konsentrasi kolesterol. Penggunaan media sensor merupakan penerapan praktis konsep rambatan, serapan, dan pemantulan gelombang untuk memecahkan masalah dalam hal ini penentuan konsentrasi kolsterol secara cepat dan akurat. Dengan menentukan parameter-parameter yang dihasilkan oleh sensor serat optik yang akurat dan mekanisme penggunaan media ini mudah diset dengan memandu gelombang  melalui serat optik untuk menuju larutan atau bahan yang kemudian dipantulkan kembali melalui serat optik untuk mendeteksi tegangan output. Metode yang digunakan dengan uji media sensor serat optik bundle dengan menentukan parameter dan validasi perangkat media pembelajaran oleh para pakar. Hasil validasi media pembelajaran diperoleh penilaian rata-rata 96,7% dan analisis pendeteksian  menunjukkan bahwa tegangan output maksimum menunjukkan penurunan secara linier terhadap peningkatan konsentrasi larutan kolesterol dengan sensitivitas 0,01 mV/ppm dan linieritas 99,6%. Dengan parameter hasil eksperimen dan hasil validasi media pembelajaran rancangan sensor ini diset maka sensor serat optik layak sebagai media pembelajaran untuk mendukung pembelajaran optik.Kata Kunci : media pembelajaran, sensor serat optik bundle, dan larutan kolesterol.

Abstract

Tax dispute resolution in Indonesia has not yet met the principles of quick, simple, and economical. Taxpayers have to wait more than 3 years for the lawful certainty. This paper elaborates the potential strategy in resolving the tax dispute in Indonesia through administrative law. OECD has suggested taxpayers and revenue body to build positive connection through the changing of confrontation to the collaborative relationship. Mediation is a solution to encourage this positive bond in solving the dispute. It is successfully implemented in Australia. The similar way is strongly recommended for the Indonesian Government to develop a good relationship between taxpayers and revenue body. One of the chances for mediating in an attempt to minimize tax dispute is in the auditing process. This process cannot be easily done because it needs political will and high desired improvement from the Government to make a change. Mediation is an attempt to achieve a win-win solution and is in line with the principles of Pancasila, that is a deliberation for reaching an agreement. If it is done, then mediation will be a courteous way in tax dispute resolution and will be able to improve a good post-dispute relationship in Indonesia.

Abstract

Obesity or overweight is a condition that occurs when the quantity of body fat tissue compared to total body weight is greater than the normal state. Diet, exercise, psychological factors, heredity, hormones, and drug side effects are a few of the factors that might cause obesity. Gastric heat syndrome was present in the patient in this case study. The patients received electrostimulator-assisted acupuncture treatment 12 times for a total of 15 minutes at the following points: Fenglong (ST40), Neiting (ST44), Sanyinjiao (SP6), and Quchi (LI11), and was also given the herbal remedy rosemary (Rosmarinus officinalis L.) for 28 days, taken twice daily. Through the activation of PPAR- g, inhibition of prankeas lipase, and inhibition of pre-adipocyte development into adipocytes, carnosic acid, a component of rosemary, helps people lose weight. Additionally, carnosic acid stimulates the excretion of fat in feces. According to the case study results, the patient's body weight dropped from 77.6 kg to 73.9 kg. This indicates that acupuncture treatments at the points Fenglong (ST40), Neiting (ST44), Sanyinjiao (SP6), and Quchi (LI11) together with the administration of rosemary herbs can result in weight loss of up to 3.7 kg over the course of 28 days.

Abstract

Receivables are the right to collect debts, a means of fulfilling civil obligations, a continuation of the credit agreement contract that must be held. The principle of Pacta Sunt Servanda as the foundation of giving direction, purpose, and fundamental value and ethical judgement to debts with property collateral with a time limit determined by the parties. However, the need for money when the receivables are not yet due encourages the receivables to be transferred into cessie, doctrinally the holder of the eigendom right has the power to eigenaar freely and to act freely on the property with full sovereignty, even so, the problem arises with the submission following the formal rules of cessie raises legal consequences, if without being notified, or in writing has been acknowledged and approved. This article questions whether the submission of receivables in the form of a unilateral legal action through cessie reflects the value of pacta sunt servanda which provides equality and justice for the parties? By applying a normative juridical research method based on a statutory approach, a legal conceptual approach, and a case approach, it strengthens the results prescriptively analytically, related to cessie which is worth justice being a hope for the business world, preventing potential legal uncertainty, avoiding potential disputes over the implementation of the transfer of receivables, preventing economic losses, by internalising the value of legal certainty and justice.  The value of pacta sunt servanda in this case relates to the equal position between the creditor and the debtor, this aspect also emphasises the guarantee of human rights for the parties to the agreement, as well as legal certainty and predictability in the process of fulfilling the provisions of the rights and obligations of the agreement agreed by the parties

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to examine the forms of special treatment for debtors who were receiving business loans as victims of natural disasters that occurred in Palu City, Central Sulawesi Province, and legal protection for debtors who were receiving business loans. This study used empirical legal methods. The results of the study indicated that the form of special treatment for debtors receiving business loans as victims of natural disasters referred to the Financial Services Authority Regulation Number 45/POJK.03/2017 concerning Special Treatment of Credit or Bank Financing for Certain Areas in Indonesia Affected by Natural Disasters. Legal protection provided if the credit restructuring provided in the form of a delay in payment of obligations (grace period) had not been optimal could be in the form of an extension of credit restructuring, new treaty addendum, or write off.

Abstract

This article aims to examine the issuance marriage agreement based on the Decision of Constitutional Court Number 69 / PUU-XІІІ / 2015. This study is a normative research with statute and cases approach. The Decision of Constitutional Court Number 69 / PUU-XІІІ / 2015 provides that the marriage agreement which has been made either through a court or notary request must still be recorded and passed to the Population and Civil Registry Office. It aims to provide legal certainty and legal protection for every side.

Abstract

Berkembangnya kebutuhan masyarakat terhadap tenaga listrik saat ini meningkat pesat, sehingga perlindungan terhadap jaringan distribusi sangatlah penting untuk menjamin pelayanan tenaga listrik. Paper ini menyajikan algoritma yang diusulkan untuk identifikasi variasi tegangan durasi pendek. Artificial Neural Network (ANN) digunakan untuk mengidentifikasi 7 jenis varasi tegangan durasi pendek seperti sinyal normal, sag instantaneous, sag momentary, sag temporary, swell instantaneous, swell momentary, dan juga swell temporary. Simulasi untuk membangkitkan gangguan menggunakan software MATLAB Simulink yang telah disimulasikan dan mendapat nilai untuk input data ke ANN. Hasil algoritma yang diusulkan sangatlah efektif untuk identifikasi, dimana ANN dengan 5 x 5 neuron pada lapisan tersembunyi memiliki tingkat akurasi 100%.
