Abstract

This study aims to describe the types of learning resources used previously at SMA N 3 Salatiga, describe the feasibility of Biomagz Based on Local Wisdom, and test the effectiveness of Biomagz Based on Local Wisdom on learning outcomes and student’s environmental care attitude. The method used is research development (R & D). Products are validated by material and media validators, and revised before being tested. Small-scale trials (readability test) use 10 students from class X MIPA 1, while large-scale trials use class X MIPA 2 with the experimental design Pre-experimental Design with the type of Pre-test and Post-test One Group Design. The results of the study show the variety of learning resources used previously including biological, teacher, internet, biology books, and the environment around students. The Feasibility of Biomagz Based on Local Wisdom obtained an average score of 92.21% with very decent criteria. Large-scale trials with an average N-gain value 0.49 in the medium category, the average classical completeness is 85.29%, and the environment care attitude of students is based on the observation result of 92.9% with a high category and the result of the inter-student assessment is 86, 18% with a high category. Based on the results of this study, it can be concluded that Biomagz Based Local Wisdom is well worth and effective on learning outcomes and student’s environmental care attitude.

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to analyze the effectiveness of the application of metacognition strategy by snowball throwing-assisted toward students' metacognitive ability and learning outcomes in reproductive system material. The study design uses Pre-experimental design with a one-shot case study pattern applied to class XI MIPA 4 and XI MIPA 7 of Academic Year 2017/2018. The sampling technique is purposive sampling. Student learning outcomes data are analyzed using classical completeness test. Data on the ability of metacognition is analyzed using a scaled category of metacognition abilities. This study is effective if it is able to reach indicators of effectiveness, namely the average final grade of metacognition ability reaches ≥ 68 with the ok-super scale, and classical completeness of learning outcomes reaches ≥ 85%. Data on metacognition ability is obtained from the value of the monitoring sheet and the value of student learning journals. The metacognitive abilities of the two classes can reach an average final score of 82.45, indicating that students already have awareness in carrying out thinking processes which include the optimal input-elaboration-output stage. Student learning outcomes data obtained from the LDS value, the value of the snowball throwing paper and the posttest value. The learning outcomes of both classes were able to achieve classical completeness on average by 92.5%. The conclusion of this study is the effective snowball throwing-assisted metacognition strategy applied to reproductive system material in SMA N 1 Jakenan.

Abstract

Tujuan penelitian adalah untuk mengetahui kelayakan multimedia interaktif menurut tim ahli dan penggunaannya sebagai media pembelajaran di SMP N 3 Ungaran. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan, pada tahap validasi desain oleh tim ahli diperoleh persentase kelayakan dari aspek media, materi, dan keterpaduan, masing-masing sebesar 92%; 92,40%; dan 100% dengan kriteria sangat layak. Setelah direvisi, diperoleh peningkatan persentase untuk masing-masing aspek sebesar 94,44%; 93,93%; dan 100% dengan kriteria sangat layak dan multimedia interaktif siap diujicobakan pada skala terbatas. Pada uji coba skala terbatas, diperoleh hasil persentase keterbacaan oleh siswa sebesar 85,39% sedangkan oleh guru 98,61% dengan kriteria yang sama yaitu sangat baik dan tidak terdapat saran perbaikan sehingga multimedia dapat digunakan untuk uji coba skala luas. Pada uji coba skala luas, diperoleh hasil bahwa multimedia sangat baik untuk digunakan. Hal ini ditunjukkan dengan persentase penggunaan multimedia oleh siswa sebesar 89,5% dan oleh guru sebesar 95,2%. Hasil tersebut diperkuat oleh pencapaian hasil belajar siswa yang meningkat. Hal ini ditunjukkan dengan peningkatan persentase ketuntasan klasikal dari hasil pre-test 80,65% meningkat menjadi 100% pada post-test. Berdasarkan hasil tersebut, dapat disimpulkan bahwa multimedia ini sangat layak dan sangat baik untuk digunakan sebagai media pembelajaran IPA Terpadu pada tema sistem gerak pada manusia. The purpose of research is to know the feasibility of interactive multimedia according by expert team and its uses as learning media at SMP N 3 Ungaran. Research results show that in phase of the design validation by expert teams obtained the percentage of media feasibility from aspects of media, materials, and integration, respectively 92%, 92.40% and 100% with very feasible criteria. After revised, obtained the improvement of the percentage for each aspect respectively is 94.44%, 93.93% and 100% with very feasible criteria and the developed multimedia is ready been tested on a limited scale trials. On limited scale trial, obtained the results of legibility percentage by students is 85.39% while 98.61% by teacher with the same criteria that is very good and did not obtain suggestions for revision so that multimedia can be used for large scale trials. In large-scale trials, the results showed that multimedia is very good to use. This is indicated by the percentage of multimedia using by students is 89.5% and 95.2% by teachers. These results are strengthened by increasing the student achievement. This is showed by the percentage of students classical completeness is increase from pres-test result that is just 80,65% become 100% of pos-test. Based on that results, can be conclude that this multimedia is very feasible and very good to use as learning media of Integrated Sciences on the material of human motion systems.

Abstract

Hasil Observasi di MTs Negeri Bonang Demak ditemukan bahwa pembelajaran IPA sudah diterapkan secara terpadu, namun lembar kegiatan siswa (LKS) belum terpadu. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui kelayakan LKS IPA terpadu berbasis konstruktivisme dan  pengaruh penggunaan LKS terhadap hasil belajar dan kemampuan berpikir kreatif siswa. Metode yang digunakan adalah penelitian pengembangan (R&D). Pada penelitian ini, produk yang telah dikembangkan divalidasi oleh pakar desain LKS dan pakar materi kemudian dilakukan pengujian skala terbatas dan skala luas. Data yang dianalisis adalah hasil validasi produk oleh pakar, angket tanggapan siswa, observasi kemampuan berpikir kreatif siswa, dan hasil belajar siswa. Hasil penilaian pakar materi dan desain memperoleh persentase rata-rata skor ≥ 81% dengan kriteria sangat layak sehingga LKS IPA Terpadu berbasis konstruktivisme sangat layak digunakan dalam pembelajaran. Pada uji keefektifan menunjukkan bahwa LKS IPA terpadu berbasis konstruktivisme efektif digunakan dalam pembelajaran dengan perolehan N-gain 0,52 dengan kriteria sedang dan persentase ketuntasan belajar siswa adalah 87% dengan KKM ≥ 70. LKS IPA Terpadu juga mampu mengembangkan kemampuan berpikir kreatif siswa dengan persentase rata-rata 67,50% dengan kriteria baik. Hasil penelitian disimpulkan bahwa LKS IPA Terpadu berbasis konstruktivisme sangat layak dan berpengaruh positif terhadap hasil belajar serta mampu mengembangkan kemampuan berpikir kreatif siswa sehingga dapat digunakan dalam pembelajaran. Observation result in MTs Negeri Bonang showed that already implemented in an integrated manner , but the learning support (worksheet) have not been integrated. This study aims to determine the feasibility of integrated science based contructivism worksheet  and its impact on learning outcomes and skills creative thinking. The method used was Research & Development (R&D). In this study, the products that have been validated by experts developed worksheet design and materials experts then testing a limited -scale and wide  scale . Data analysis used is the result of a product validation by experts, student questionnaire responses, students' observation skills creative thinking, and student learning outcomes. Theresults of study showed that Integrated Science Worksheets Based on constructivism  implied in the criteria very feasible with an average percentage score of ≥ 81% on the assessment of the feasibility of the design and material. In testing the effectiveness suggests that integrative science based contrukivism worksheets effective used in the learning acquisition N-gains of 0.52 with average criteria and percentage of student’s the classical learning mastery was ≥ 85% with ≥ 70 standart of minimum completeness. Integrated science worksheet also able to equip students with the skills of creative thinking with percentage score 67.50%  criteria undeveloped skills. It can be concluded that the integrated science worksheets based konstruktivism has been proven very feasible and positive effect on learning outcomes and creative thinking skills to equip students so that learning science can be used in learning activities.

Abstract

Implementasi kurikulum 2013 pada pembelajaran IPA mengharuskan agar pembelajaran IPA menerapkan penilaian yang komprehensif dan berimbang. Berdasarkan hasil observasi dan wawancara di SMP Negeri 2 Kendal, didapatkan bahwa penilaian yang digunakan guru masih mengacu pada tingkatan kognitif rendah dengan menggunakan paper and pencil test, sedangkan aspek afektif dan psikomotorik belum terlaksana. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan kelayakan asesmen autentik pada materi interaksi makhluk hidup dengan lingkungan dan mendeskripsikan keefektifan asesmen autentik dalam meningkatkan kemampuan berpikir kritis siswa. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode Research and Development (R&D). Asesmen autentik dinyatakan sangat layak dengan rerata persentase skor oleh validator asesmen sebesar 91,18% dan validator bahasa sebesar 89,71%. Hasil tanggapan siswa mengenai keterbacaan asesmen autentik diperoleh rerata skor 86% dengan kriteria sangat baik. Uji n-gain digunakan untuk mengetahui efektivitas asesmen autentik dalam meningkatkan kemampuan berpikir kritis siswa. Jumlah siswa yang mencapai n-gain dengan kriteria sedang dan tinggi sebanyak 27 siswa dari 30 siswa dengan persentase 90%. Hal tersebut menunjukkan bahwa penggunaan asesmen autentik efektif untuk meningkatkan kemampuan berpikir kritis siswa. Hasil tanggapan guru terhadap penggunaan asesmen autentik memperoleh rerata persentase 91,25% dengan kriteria sangat praktis. Curriculum implementation in 2013 on science learning requires that learning science implement a comprehensive and balanced assessment. Initial observation result on SMPN 2 Kendal shows that teachers use assessment still refers to the cognitive levels low by using a paper and pencil test, whereas affective and psychomotor aspects have not been implemented. This researches to determine the feasibility of authentic assessment in interaction of living organism with the environment theme and determine the effectivity of authentic assessment to improve student’s critical thinking skills. This research used Research and Development (R&D) method. Authentic assessment is stated very decent with the mean percentage substance validator score of 91.18% and language validator of 89.71%. The results of student’s responses on authentic assessment obtain a mean score of 86% with a very well criteria. N-gain test is used to determine the effectiveness of authentic assessment to improve student’s critical thinking skills. Students who achieve n-gain medium and high criteria is 27 students of 30 students with a percentage of  90%. It shows that the use of authentic assessment is effective to improve student’s critical thinking skills. The results of teacher’s responses on authentic assessment obtain a mean score of 91.25% with a very practical criteria.

Abstract

Abstrak ___________________________________________________________________ Berdasarkan diskusi awal dengan beberapa guru Biologi pada kegiatan MGMP, teridentifikasi bahwa  salah satu sebab mengapa instrumen penilaian masih lebih berfokus untuk menilai pengetahuan (aspek kognitif) adalah karena keterbatasan pengetahuan (lack of knowledge) dan keterbatasan keterampilan untuk berkreasi (lack of  skills)  untuk mengembangkan sendiri variasi jenis instrumen dan teknik penilaian otentik.  Oleh sebab itu, solusi yang tepat adalah pendampingan guru dalam bentuk pelatihan dalam jabatan (in service training). Pendampingan ini dilaksanakan dalam bentuk focus group discussion (FGD) dan model pendampingan partisiporis. Setelah kegiatan pendampingan guru lebih mengerti berbagai variasi AA untuk diaplikasikan dengan munculnya diagram Venn, diagram Vee, peta konsep, lembar observasi, penilaian diri, tes dan sebagainya dalam RPP. Hasi refleksi penerapan AA dalam pembelajaran menunjukkan bahwa siswa lebih aktif berpikir dan produktif. Abstract _______________________________________________________________ Pre-eliminary discussion with Biology teachers showed  that a reason why learning assessment is still focussing on cognitive aspect is because of lack of knowledge and skill to develop various authentic assessments (AA). The best solution to overcome this problem is conducting in-service training for the teachers community. This training was conducted by focus group discussion and participatory training. It is found that teachers developed more various AA in Biology learning  such as Venn diagram, Vee diagram,concept map, observation sheet, self assessment, test and others after training. Reflection of AA application in the classroom also showed that students became more actively thinking and were more productive when learning.

Abstract

Abstract ___________________________________________________________________ This study aimed to describe the effectiveness of a constructivism approach to the activity and student learning result in materials microscopy in SMP Negeri 2 Welahan, Jepara. This study is a pre-experimental research design one shoot case study. The study population was all students of class VII consists of six classes (VIIA-VIIF). Samples were taken using purposive sampling, consists of two classes, namely VIIE class consisting of 38 students and VIIF class consisting of 37 students. The independent variables in this study are materializing learning with a constructivism approach, and the dependent variable is the activity and student learning result. Data captured using student activity observation sheet, sheet materialize questionnaire study with a constructivism approach, interview teachers, and the post-test. Based on the results of the data, analysis, and discussion, student activities classically reached 89.5% (VIIE) and 86.5% (VIIF). Classical completeness of student learning result was 92.1% (VIIE) and 89.1% (VIIF). Materialize learning with a constructivist approach shows very good and good result, both in class VIIE and VIIF. Teachers give a positive response to a constructivism approach to learning. It can be concluded that effective learning with a constructivism approach to the activity and student learning result in materials microscopy.

Abstract

This research was done in SMP 4 Kudus. This research aimed to unveil the influence of problem-based learning with SETS approach to students’ problem-solving skills and environmental awareness. This research was a quasi-experimental research with control group design. The sampling used purposive sampling technique. The samples of this research were VII A class (experiment class) and VII B class (control class). The data were collected by using tests, observation, and self-assessment. The analysis showed that problem-based learning with SETS influenced students problem-solving skills in 56.3%. Experiment class students’ problem-solving skills were better than the control class proved from the t-test analysis where tcount > ttable. Based on the analysis of man witney test, the average score of environmental awareness in control class and experiment class known as Zcount of 4.01 and Ztable of 1.96. The average percentage of students’ responses was 84.9% in a very good category. In conclusion, problem-based learning with SETS approach influences students’ problem-solving skills and their environmental awareness.

Abstract

Abstrak : Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mendeskripsikan: (1) penerapan metode PQRST dalam pembelajaran membaca pemahaman wacana nonsastra berbasa Jawa dan (2) peningkatan kemampuan membaca pemahaman wacana nonsastra berbahasa Jawa siswa kelas X Ak 1 SMK N 1 Karanganyar Kebumen tahun ajaran 2013/2014. Penelitian ini termasuk penelitian kualitatif dengan desain PTK. Subjek penelitian ini adalah seluruh siswa kelas X Ak 1 SMK N 1 Karanganyar (38 orang) dan guru pembimbing. Objek penelitian ini adalah penerapan  metode PQRST dan peningkatan kemampuan membaca pemahaman siswa. Pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan teknik tes dan nontes. Analisis data dilakukan dengan teknik kualitatif dan kuantitatif. Hasil penelitian ini adalah (1) pe-nerapan metode PQRST melalui tahap: peninjauan bacaan, tanya, baca, membuat ringkasan, dan tes (2) kemampuan membaca pemahaman siswa mengalami pening-katan. Nilai rata-rata kelas pada prasiklus adalah 64,66 dan pada siklus I meningkat sebesar 10,34 menjadi 75. Pada siklus II, nilai rerata siswa meningkat sebesar 10,26 menjadi 85,26 (ketuntasan 89,47%).   Kata kunci: membaca pemahaman, wacana nonsastra berbahasa Jawa, metode PQRST

Abstract

TK Wiji is a nursery school which was built at Jl. Untung Suropati no. 10  kelurahan Tegalrejo kota Pekalongan based on NPSN 69879295 of 2005 by Yayasan 99. TK Wiji is growing fast due to its education system which is in line to the 2013 national curriculum with the vision of toodler characteristic development. The most fundamental of character education is environment education. Considering to this situation, we have found that the most common litter of the nursery is disposable diaper. This kind of diaper is hardly degraded into its monomer. Colon’s research in 2013 has found a strategy to use this diaper as compost. Based on the problem of disposable diaper wastes in the nursery and also the result of the background research about exploiting the waste as compost, then the environment education for toodler of TK Wiji by using diaper waste as a material for hidroponic cultivation was done. In the beginning, guidances were given to the teacher in 2 phases which are making diaper waste composite into organic fertilizer and making hidrogel for interior plant cultivation by using the gel of the waste. In the next step, the teachers were asked to make improvisation regarding toodler environment education by using the skills. In spite of this, there was still an argument about the time management in the learning process by using diaper waste as the material. Thus an implementation of the skill for toodler extracuricular was stated.
