Abstract

A lot of physics lab equipments are not available at scholl. The development of ICT makes it possible to create such a virtual lab equipment. The purpse of this study is to develop a medium of learning the tools of ICT-based optics. Development methods used in this study adapted the model of development which include seven procedure development, namely: analysis of needs and characteristics of students, formulating learning goals, formulating the points of matter, preparing evaluation instruments, composing media texts, expert validation, field trials, and the final products. The product have been produced in the form of instructional media optical instruments that contain material, a virtual lab which is equipped with worksheets, exercises with answer keys, and test the competence that comes with the recording of values for each correct answer. The product has been tested in accordance with the theory of quality: very attractive, very easy to use, and highly usable and declared effective as learning media optical instruments in senior high school.Key words: development research, instructional media, and optical instruments.

Abstract

ABSTRAK Penilaian sangat diperlukan bagi seorang pendidik untuk mengetahui tingkat keberhasilan selama proses belajar. Fungsi penilaian adalah untuk dapat mengetahui ketercapaian peserta didik dalam pembelajaran. Penlaian juga penting bagi pendidik untuk introspeksi diri, mengetahui kelemahan dan kelebihan dalam pembelajaran. System penilan yang dilakukan untuk saat ini menggunakan teknologi karena mempermudah proses assesment. Adapun tujuan dari kegiatan ini adalah memberikan pelatihan dasar Assesment  berbasis android pada guru SMA di kab. Pesawaran. Manfaat dari kegiatan ini adalah memberikan pelatihan kepada guru-guru supaya menerapkan penilaian kepada siswa secara efektif, efisien serta tepat guna dengan menggunakan android. Guru mahir menyusun assesment penilaian hasil belajar siswa dan mahir menggunakan android untuk keperluan assesment siswa. Metode kegiatan yang digunakan adalah metode praktek pelatihan dan diskusi sosialisasi. Pemahaman guru terhadap penilaian meningkat, hal ini dibuktikan dengan perbedaan nilai pretest dan post-test. Penggunaan android sangat membantu proses penilaian guru di sekolah dalam hal keefektifan penilaian, pemeriksaan jawaban, mengetahui daya beda soal, dan mengetahui taraf sukar butir. Kata Kunci: Penilaian, Android, Efektifitas  ABSTRACT Assessment is very necessary for an educator to determine the level of success during the learning process. There are things that can determine the achievement of students in learning. Assessment is also important for educators to introspect themselves, knowing the weaknesses and strengths in learning. Even though the pandemic period is not over, it still has to be implemented for students. Assessments carried out during the pandemic can use Android to simplify the assessment process. Objective: to provide basic training on Android-based assessment for high school teachers in Pesawaran. The benefit of this activity is that the teachers who are the research subjects can apply assessments to students effectively, and are appropriate for using Android during a pandemic. Teachers are proficient in compiling assessments of student learning outcomes and proficient in using android for student assessment purposes. Research Methods: The method used in this research is the method of training and discussion of socialization. This method will later find out how the public will know how to use an Android-based assessment application that is categorized in supporting the learning process. Result: Teachers' understanding of grades increased, this was evidenced by the difference between pretest and posttest. Conclusion: The use of android really helps the teacher assessment process in schools in terms of the effectiveness of the assessment, examination, knowing differentiating power, and knowing the level of difficulty of items. Keywords: Assessment, Android, Effectiveness

Abstract

The huge potential of the Kelumbayan coastal area is a treasure trove of local wisdom that promises to improve the population's economy and can be used as a source of learning based on local wisdom, it should be an important part of the student learning process. STEM is an interdisciplinary approach to learning in which students use science, technology, engineering, and mathematics in real contexts that connect schools, the world of work, and the global world that aims to build the literacy of the younger generation in these fields. The application of STEM combined with local wisdom as a learning resource for students is a new support for innovative learning for educators and students in Kelumbayan. The service was carried out in the Kelumbayan sub-district by presenting representatives of educators spread across several schools in seven villages. The service is carried out by applying the pretest first and the posttest at the end of the service program. Elementary school teachers in Kelumbayan District together have an understanding of the STEM learning approach and other innovative learning models that teach students, besides the simulation of teaching practice using this approach has provided enlightenment for teachers in carrying out classroom learning.

Abstract

Parenting programs have been shown to improve children's behavior. Therefore, the implementation of parenting programs in schools needs to be revealed as a reference for schools to more easily implement them in the school environment. This research uses an ethnographic approach. A sample of one school in Bandar Lampung City was determined using purposive sampling techniques with the criteria that the school had implemented a parenting program. Research data were collected using interviews, observation, and documentation techniques. Data analysis is carried out using thematic analysis, which includes seven phases. Triangulation techniques are used as data validity tests. The findings of this study show that the parenting program was implemented through seminars, teacher-parent collaboration through contact books, guest teachers by parents, sharing short videos through social media, and the presence of BK teachers at school. Thus, it can be concluded that the parenting program is getting optimal by realizing collaborative activities between schools and parents in student learning activities.Keywords: Parenting, elementary school

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to describe the internet skills of students. The method used was a survey with an exploratory research design. The research sample consisted of 166 students. The research instrument was adapted (Van Deursen et al., 2016) which is composed of 5 indicators, namely: (1) operational internal skills; (2) formal internet skills; (3) informational internet skills; (4) communicational internet skills; and (5) content creation internet skills. The results showed that students had good internet skills, including operational, formal, communicational, and informational skills. Nevertheless, it was necessary to develop creative skills so that students are more productive in creating or developing content in a digital environment. In addition, there was a positive relationship between operational and communicational skills and con-tent creation skills. Thus, it can be concluded that overall, students have good basic internet skills. However, further research is needed to find out how these variables affect other variables.

Abstract

The research purpose was to implement of the STEM 4.0 approach in improving student CT. This study used a quasi-experimental design with one group pretest - posttest design. The learning integrated 4 STEM components to improve students’ CT. Participants were elementary school teacher education students at state universities in Lampung Province. The test instrument is at the cognitive level C4 and C6 which refers to Bloom's Taxonomy. Based on research data, it is stated that in learning with the STEM 4.0 approach, there are activities to understand the concept of learning material (Science) by integrating everyday life phenomena (Mathematics) and supported by learning media (Technology). Furthermore, there are learning activities in the form of practice activities in solving a problem in groups and making simple products by applying the concepts contained in the learning materials. Abstract

Integrated STEM 3.0 Approach to Enhance Critical Thinking Skills. Critical Objectives: This study aimed to examine the effect of the STEM 3.0 approach assisted by real material and virtual simulation to enhance the CTS. Methods: The research method used Quasi-Experimental Designs with Matching-Only Pretest-Posttest Control Group Design. The subjects of this study were high school students of Class XI in Surabaya. Findings: Based on the research data, the increase in the CTS of students in the 2 experimental classes was classified as moderate with an average n-gain value of students in class A2 of 0.69 and class A5 of 0.63 while the increase in CTS in the control class was classified as moderate with a lower value (a score of 0.36). Based on the results of statistical tests, there is a significant difference between the experimental class and the control class. Conclusion: Thus, it is concluded that the integrated STEM 3.0 approach can enhance the CTS. Keywords: integrated STEM 3.0, CTS, real material, virtual simulations.DOI: http://dx.doi.org/10.23960/jpp.v12.i3.202219

Abstract

Implementation of High Order Thinking Skills (HOTS) Based on Problem Based Learning on Science Literacy Ability. Objectives: Knowing and analyzing scientific literacy skills by applying the HOTS-oriented Problem Based Learning (PBL) model. Methods: The type of research in this research is experimental research. The object of research is the implementation of HOTS based on Problem Based Learning (X) on literacy skills (Y). The research subjects were fourth grade students of SD Negeri 5 Metro Pusat. The research design used is a pre-experimental design and uses one form of design, namely the one group pretest-posttest design. This design uses one group, as an illustration, the experimental group. The experimental group is the class that gets treatment in the form to the application of HOTS based on Problem-Based Learning. The HOTS indicators used in this study are identify scientific issues (problems); explain scientific phenomena; using scientific evidence Findings: Based on the results of the data analysis, the pretest score for the scientific literacy ability of students achieved by the experimental class was 9.25 and the posttest score was 11.90. Conclusion: The results of the research that have been carried out show that the application of high order thinking skills (HOTS) based on problem based learning (PBL) to improve scientific literacy skills has the impact of increasing n-gain by 0.21 in the low category.
