Abstract

Tourism activities in Tasikmalaya Regency were recorded to experience fluctuations in the number of tourist visits from year to year. There are two classifications of tourist objects in Tasikmayala Regency, namely legal and registered tourist objects and tourist objects that are not legal and not yet registered in the Disparpora Tasikmalaya Regency and the Disparbud of West Java Province. Tourism objects that are not yet legal, have not been recorded, grow from the initiative of tourists or the community, and are not yet well established in their management are referred to as unplanned tourism businesses. The study was conducted to describe the conditions and developments in the unplanned tourism business carried out in three locations, namely Pasir Kirisik, Bukit Panyangrayan, and Bukit Puji Ningrum by conducting direct observations, interviews, and questionnaires. All data collected were then analyzed descriptively covering the general condition of the research location, characteristics of tourists and local communities, perceptions, motivations, preferences, participation, and conditions of business development factors in each research location. The condition of the unplanned tourism business shows that it is running well even though it has not run optimally and is accepted by tourists and the local community. So it is important the role of stakeholders according to their capacity and capability as part of the support system for procedural acceleration of an unplanned tourism business into an established ecotourism business. Key words: acceleration, ecotourism, established, intuitive, tourism business

Abstract

In addition to providing multiplier economic benefits, the tourism sector also has the potential to cause some latent and massive negative social impacts. For this reason, it is important to map out the orientation of the local community. This study analyzes the polarization of the local community's perceptions of sociocultural dynamics in the ecotourism development area. The local community that became the focus of the research consisted of five groups of respondents: traditional leaders, religious leaders, educational leaders, community leaders, and tourism actors. This research was conducted in the Bopunjur Ecotourism Area, Bogor Regency, West Java, precisely in seven ecotourism destinations, namely Ciawi, Caringin, Cibogo, Cipayung, Megamendung, Cisarua, and Tugu. This study used mixed methods, qualitative and quantitative approach. Data collection on social and cultural dynamics was done by distributing questionnaires to the respondents. The research instrument was a questionnaire designed closed-ended with guidance on one score-one indicator scoring system. The results showed that positive social situations, namely conducive situations, associations, cooperative situations, and productive collaborations were still more dominant than negative social situations: war, conflict, and dissociation. The polarization of the local community on sociocultural dynamics has a positive direction with a polarization scale that is aligned with each other so that there is an excellent opportunity to build productive collaboration among stakeholders in this area

Abstract

The dynamics of problems related to land occupation, ownership of cultural land, and agricultural land in Indonesia, especially in Ranah Minang, West Sumatra, have become so serious they need to be solved first before trying to achieve the ideals of sustainable development. The research methodology used in this study was a phenomenological approach. The data were analyzed through the One Score-One Criterion Scoring System. The mean values obtained for the phenomenon of cultural land-use patterns in the region were very good in many aspects. On the other hand, the dynamics of stakeholder perceptions, motivations, and preferences did not indicate any directional bias or attitudinal scale among actors over the use of cultural land. This would be different if observed in the dynamics of perception and ecotourism motivation by generating inferences of the direction polarization and attitude scale among actors. The strategy for this purpose was to optimize various aspects of land-use patterns for ecotourism development: 1) strengthening the function of cultural lands as precious treasure; 2) creating a communal business field; 3) optimizing the productivity of agricultural commodities as added value for land users; 4) establishing no-building zones in certain strategic areas as well as providing incentives to land users.

Abstract

Abstract

Cities are dominated by two closely related aspects, namely the physical and human aspects. The physical aspect exists naturally in the form of space and its elements, while the human aspect is the subject of development as well as the user of its benefits. The city is part of human settlement, in its development, there is disintegrated planning because its development approach only sees the city as a physical object rather than a cultural object. The modern lifestyle requires the environmental atmosphere to be natural environmental atmosphere, which is valuable. The study was conducted to calculate the contribution of the environmental services aspects of Green Open Space (RTH) as a scientific basis in the policy strategy for managing Urban Parks (TK) and Urban Forest Parks (THK). Based on the results of this study, urban residents need UP and UFP as places for their recreational needs. The policy strategy is to create an appropriate GOS for recreational places. The engineering aspect of recreation sites in UP and UFP aims to optimize the recreational carrying capacity. The policy to overcome the problem improves ecological management through the enrichment and rejuvenation of old plants.
