Abstract

This study aims to describe and analyze the motion structure of  Tampuruang dance in Batu Manjulua village, Kupitan district, Sijunjung regency, West Sumatra province. This  research belongs to a qualitative research. The types of data used were primary and secondary data. The main instrument in this research was the researcher itself and was assisted by supporting instruments such as writing tools, cameras, and flash drives. The data were collected through literature study, observation, interview, and documentation. The steps of analyzing the data was collecting the data, describing the data, and concluding the data. The results show that 1) related to the relationship system of basic elements, Tampuruang Dance has motions of body parts consisting of the head, body, hands, and feet. From the relationship system between the elements above, it produces the form of motives which are alternate and interrelated like a chain, 2) Related to the hierarchical grammatical relationship system, Tampuruang Dance consists of 42 motifs, 8 phrases, 5 sentences, and 1 cluster, 3) Tampuruang dance belongs to a syntagmatic relationship system which is like a chain, and it cannot be separated or exchanged between one another.

Abstract

This article aims to find out the application of the method of Peer Tutors in Class VII in learning the art of dance in SMP Negeri 3 Kota Solok. This type of research this is a class action Research (PTK). The object of research is the grade VII in the SMP Negeri 3 Solok which consists of 30 students. Research instrument is the Researcher as a teacher practitioners, teachers of art and culture as an Observer and the observation sheet tools, documentation, and test the ability of the students. Further data was collected with the data analysis techniques to selected and analyzed his righteousness. The results of this research show that the application of the method of Peer Tutors in SMP Negeri 3 Solok in 2 cycle with 5 times the meeting went well and smoothly. Improved student learning outcomes can be seen from the goal of learning the art of dance with smooth motion and assessment aspects. The average student learning outcomes i.e. 74 category I cycle quite well with the average percentage of 48.3% ketuntasan I cycle and which are not comprehensively 51.65%. Then average the results of student learning cycle II 86 categories very well with the average percentage of 98.3% in cycle II ketuntasan and its not finished 16.6%. Thus the results of this study indicate that the peer tutor methods can improve the results of learning the art of dance class VII in SMP Negeri 3 Solok.

Abstract

AbstractThis article aims to reveal and explain the impact of exploration on dance lessons in SMP Negeri 4 Kota Solok. This research will trace the learning process of dance by using exploration. The type of this research is qualitative with descriptive method of analysis, because this research tries to make description, description about a real situation which is in accordance with reality. Data obtained by direct observation and interview, test techniques are not required in this study. The main instrument in this study is the researchers themselves, who became the object of this study is the students of class VIII-B in SMP Negeri 4 Kota Solok. From the result of this research, it is concluded that in the learning of traditional dance in SMP Negeri 4 Kota Solok, the exploration has an impact on supporting the imagination, and the creative power and the ability of students in giving birth to new movements which is the development of motif of traditional dance movement. Another impact is the appearance of self-confidence in students, students have the ability to express simple dance moves performed in groups. Keywords: Exploration, Dance Learning

Abstract

The purpose of this research is to know interest student to music art learning with using audio visual media. Kind this research is kualitatif method with descriptive technic of analysis. This research do with eigh meet times. Subject this research is VII A student class semester of two school year 2011/2012. The observation done which is student that participates, paying attention, and felling with observation sheet and percentage. From result of this research take conclusion that interest student to musik art learning with using audio visual media in SMP Negeri 8 Padang west sumatera barat province. It’s we can show with inquiry result by seven questions. From the inquiry result study before, therefore we can condusion that learning with using audio visual media can make student interest follow music art learning.

Abstract

Abstract This article was intented to reveal the endeavors to promote Mancak Padang dance in Nagari Pauh IX Kecamatan Kuranji Kota Padang . This was a qualitative research wich used descriptive method. The data was collected through observation, interview, dokumentation and library study. The result of the research showed that the efforts done to develop the dance could  be  seen  from the number of people perfoemed it by increasing the number of the dancers, training the young generation about Mancak Padang dance. The first training was conducted on November 30th, 2013 in which the number of the dancers were 10 people. The second one was carried out on Desember 7th, 2013 in which the number of the number of the dancers were 11, and in the third trining wich was done on December 14,15 dancers were trained. Kata kunci:Upaya, Pengembangan, tari, Mancak Padang.

Abstract

This research aims to explain the significant influence or not on the use of audiovisual powerpoint media on the results of studying Cultural Arts (Dance) in Grade VIII-2 SMP Negeri 12 Lubuklinggau South Sumatra Province. The design of the study used was a simple experimental study with one sample on 36 students of grade VIII-2 SMP Negeri 12 Lubuklinggau. The design of this one case one sample study will place students at once as control objects and research objects. Research instruments are data on student learning results obtained from post-test 1 and 2 after KBM. The results of the study prove that the hypothesis of research work is accepted, where there is a significant influence on the use of visual media powerpoint on the results of learning cultural arts (dance) in Grade VIII-2 SMP Negeri 12 Lubuklinggau South Sumatra Province. These results also explain that the use of more creative and interactive powerpoint media, where videos are included in the powerpoint media encourages better student attention. With good attention in learning, resulting in enthusiastic and interested students in learning dance. As a result of enthusiasm, attention and interest in learning the dance, the results of students' learning can be improved.

Abstract

This study aims to determine and describe the use of online communication tools via whatsapp group in learning dance in class X OTKP SMK Kartika 1-2 Padang. This research is a qualitative study using a descriptive approach. The object of this research was 29 students of class X OTKP SMK Kartika 1-2 Padang. The research instrument was the researcher itself and was assisted by data collection tools such as dance videos, Whatsapp groups, and direct observation with the teacher doingthe instruction by using online learning communication tools for dance learning. The results of the research show that the use of online communication tools via WhatsApp group runs very well. Students are able to learn from any source in which at this time, the students can learn through technology / mobile phones.Students can access lessons learned such as learning dance practice on YouTube. At the second and third meetings, it can be seen that students understand and can do movements without the help of the teacher, and they can memorize only through YouTube. The last meeting also shows excellent learning outcomes. However, the teacher cannot assess the extent of the students' abilities in learning due to the fact that the teacher cannot monitor directly. Instead, the teacher can only provide direction in the form of solutions through Whatsapp group. Thus, the researcher concludes that the use of online communication tools via Whatsapp group in learning dance in class X OTKP is conducted well, and it can be used in learning dance practice.

Abstract

The article aims to describe the application of simulation methods to improve the learning outcomes of dance in class VIII.6 of SMP Negeri 7 Padang. This type of research is Classroom Action Research (CAR) or Classroom Action Research. The instrument of this study was the researchers themselves and assisted with supporting instruments in the form of observation sheets of student learning activities, knowledge tests (cognitive) and skills tests (psychomotor). The data collection technique used in each cycle is by observing, testing and documenting. The types of data in this study are primary data and secondary data. Student learning outcomes data were analyzed using mean techniques and using individual and group completeness criteria. The results of the study show that the application of simulation learning methods can improve the learning outcomes of Dance VIII.6 grade students at Padang 7 Public Middle School. Learning activities consist of positive activity and negative activity. Positive learning activities are with indicators asking questions, daring to argue, and doing assignments. Negative learning activities that are with indicators do not concern in class and do not go out of class. Learning activities in the first cycle were still low seen in positive activity 62% and negative activity 61%. While the second cycle obtained an average of 85% positive learning activities and negative learning activities 89%. The average learning outcomes in the first cycle were obtained 82 and the average learning outcomes in the second cycle were 89.4. So it was concluded that the application of simulation methods to improve the learning outcomes of Dance in class VIII.6 students at Padang 7 Junior High School had succeeded.

Abstract

Abstract This article aims to describe Choreography Podang in rural village hall Kandi West Payakumbuh Payakumbuh. This type of research is a qualitative descriptive method of analysis. The object of this study is Podang Dance in the Village Hall Kandi West Payakumbuh Payakumbuh. The main instrument is the researchers themselves. Data collection techniques such as literature, observation, interviews and documentation. Data analysis technique is a way to sort the data according to the choreography Podang then describe the data according to the issues discussed. The results showed that: the elements of choreography in dance Podang there is motion, floor design, music, top design, which includes the design of the angle, contrast, low, high and flat, the design of which is the dominant angular design, design dramatically the dance Podang the cone ganda.koreografi on dance podang the composition of the groups small. Abstract

AbstractThe background of the research was low mastery of students towards a learning material that would cause the low accomplishment of the most dance learning outcomes of students. It had not reached the Minimum Completeness Criteria (KKM) in XI grade IPS.3 SMA N 1 Solok. One of the factors that influenced the low learning outcomes of students was the application of learning media that had not been able to demand the active role of students. Therefore it was necessary to do research by applying audio visual media to see student dance learning outcomes. The purposed of this study was to improve the learning outcomes of dance students in SMA N 1 Solok through the using of audio visual media. The type of this research was classroom action research. The subjects of this study were students of XI grade IPS.3 SMA N 1 Solok registered in the 2017/2018 school year consisting of 30 students. In this study, the method of data collection was using the learning outcome test in the form of posttest at the end of each cycle and observation sheet. The data obtained were analyzed using the classical learning completeness formula. Based on the results of the study, it was found that there was an enhancement of students in each cycle that obtained complete scores according to the criteria of 80. In the first cycle students were complete as many as 20 people and the incomplete were 10 people. For cycle II, the number of students who complete was 25 while 5 students who were not complete, which meant the learning outcomes of dance have been increased. Thus, it could be concluded that the application of audio visual media could improve student learning outcomes in SMA N 1 SolokKeywords: Audio Visual Media, Students’ Learning Outcomes of Dance
