Abstract

The purpose of this study is to improve the multicultural understanding of children aged 7-8 years through the MONAYA game media. MONAYA's game media is a game of Cultural Monopoly which has content of cultural or multicultural diversity and has printed on large banners and makes children as pawns using dice and supporting cards of large size so as to attract children's interest in teaching and learning activities and become wrong an alternative learning media. This study uses ADDIE (Analyze, Design, Develop, Implement, Evaluate) methods and has been tested through one-on-one trials), small group trials and field group trials and has been validated by early childhood education experts, media experts and multicultural experts. There is an increase in the results of very high child pre-test and post-test and enthusiastic activities which indicate that the MONAYA game media is suitable to be used to increase multicultural understanding of children aged 7-8 years

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui perbedaan efektifitas antara penggunaan notasi balok angka dalam meningkatkan ketrampilan memainkan rekorder sopran pada Mahasiswa PAUD UNJ.Yang menjadi masalah adalah : mana yang lebih efektif, penggunaan notasi balok atau notasi angka dalam meningkatkan ketrampilan memainkan rekorder sopran pada Mahasiswa Pendidikan Anak Usia Dini (PAUD) Universitas Negeri Jakarta (UNJ).Hipotesis yang peneliti ajukan dalam penelitian ini dirumuskan sebagai berikut : penggunaan notasi balok lbih efektif daripada penggunaan notasi angka dalam memainkan rekorder sopran pada mahasiswa Pendidikan Anak Usia Dini (PAUD) Univesitas Negeri Jakarta.Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian eksperimen. sampel penelitian ini terdiri dari 60 orang mahasiswa Pendidikan Anak Usia Dini (PAUD) Universitas Negeri  Jakarta dengan perincian : 30 orang mendapat perlakuan notasi balok dan 30 orang mahasswa mendapat perlakuan notasi angka.Sebelum data diolah kedalam rumus uji­t, terlebih dahulu dilakukan uji normalitas dan uji homogenitas. hasil uji normalitan dari kedua kelompok ternyata menunjukkan bahw ahanya satu kelompok yan populasinya dapat dinyatakan normal yaitu didapat LO = 0,0247 dan Lt = 0,161 pada derajat 0,05 untuk n = 30. jadi dengan kata lain Ho yang menyatakan populasi asal sampel berdistribusi tidak normal ditolak. Sedangkan hasil dari uji homogenitas didapat x2 = 1,3608 dan xt2 =* 42,557.   ternyata   X2   <   Xt2   maka   Ho   :   d12   =   d22   diterima   pada   taraf signifikan   0,05   yang   berarti   data   yang   terdapat   pada   sampel   2   dan   II adalah homogen.Setelah   data   diuji   dengan   uji   normalitas   dan   homogenitas   lalu dianalisis melalui rumus ujit. Hasil analisi tersebut adalahs ebagai berikut : Nilai uji t yang didapat sebesar 3,306, sedangkan nilai tabel untuk db 50 pada  alfa 0,05 = 2,008 dan pada alfa 0,01 = 2,671. Jadi, dengan demikian dapat   dikatakan   bahwa   hasil   belajar   ketrampilan   memainkan   rekorder sopran   melalui   notasi balok   jauh   lebih   efektif   daripada   hasil   belajar kerampilan   memainkan   rekorder   sopran   melalui notasi   angka.   Dengan demikian, Ho ditolak dengan taraf signifikan 0,01.Kata Kunci : efektifitas, Notasi Balok, Notasi Angka, Rekorder Sopran.

Abstract

The objective of this research was to develop educative snake and ladder learning media to improve the understanding on concept of living creature on early childhood. The research was conducted in Bekasi municipality with R&D method. The results indicated that in aspects of (1) availability of learning media: 75% of teachers used the learning media optimally and 67% of teachers perceived that the learning media made available by the school was less supportive to the learning: (2) requirement: only 25% of teachers who used the game media in learning and 83% of teachers recognized that the learning material in theme books was very supportive to use the media; (3) process: 83% of teachers had difficulty to present the learning material due to children characteristics which are active and aggressive and 75% of teachers recognized that the children’s understanding level regarding the media presented was still low; expectation: 92% of teachers supported the making of educative snake and ladder learning media. Tests administered to the students regarding the living creative concept obtained average score 52,44, which means insufficient.

Abstract

Pada abad ke-21 ini, setiap manusia termasuk anak usia dini menghadapi tantangan globalisasi. Berdasarkan penelitian terdahulu disimpulkan bahwa pembelajaran yang dapat mempersiapkan anak untuk memiliki kemampuan abad ke-21 adalah pendekatan yang berorientasi pada anak. Pendekatan Reggio Emilia adalah salah pendekatan yang berorientasi pada anak. Pendekatan ini menggunakan pembelajaran berbasis proyek dan menggunakan material terbuka yang telah teruji dapat mengembangkan kemampuan abad ke-21, namun Pendekatan ini memiliki komponen pembelajaran lain. Maka tujuan penelitian ini adalah ingin melihat apakah  seluruh komponen Pendekatan ini mampu menjawab tantangan kemampuan di abad ke-21, dan apakah pendekatan dari kota Italia ini dapat diaplikasikan di dalam konteks pendidikan Indonesia. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode penelitian tinjauan pustaka, menganalisa 2 buku sumber data primer tentang Pendekatan Reggio Emilia, 1 buku sumber data primer tentang Pendidikan menurut Ki Hajar Dewantara dan 62 artikel yang terdiri dari sumber data primer dan sekunder tentang Pendekatan Reggio Emilia dan Kemampuan abad ke-21.

Abstract

Karakter erat kaitannya dengan nilai-nilai kebajikan yang mesti dibiasakan agar terbentuk suatu pola dalam pribadi individu yang masih ada tatanan dalam masyarakat untuk berpikir dan bertindak sesuai dengan nilai-nilai yang diutamakan dalam masyarakat. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan nilai-nilai karakter apa yang ditanamkan dalam film Adit dan Sopo Jarwo dan Menganalisis relevansi film Adit dan Sopo Jarwo dalam menanamkan nilai-nilai karakter jika ditinjau dari aspek sosiopedagogiek. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kualitatif dengan menggunakan metode analisis konten. Hasil penelitian dapat disimpulkan bahwa film Adit dan Sopo Jarwo mengandung nilai-nilai karakter jika ditinjau dari aspek pedagogies diantaranya nilai karakter menjaga hubungan dengan Tuhan dan sesama yang didalamnya terkandung sifat sopan santun, jujur, saling menghormati, saling menyayangi dan disiplin.

Abstract

The lack of learning techniques used by teachers in teaching music in early childhood, especially rhythmic learning, in general teachers only teach rhythm by explaining the value of notes, not using singing, and not connecting it with singing. The purpose of this research is to describe the effectiveness of rhythmic learning using cultural-based solfeggio techniques through lecture assignments. The research method used is descriptive qualitative with an emphasis on exploration. Data collection was taken from the results of the learning value of the rhythmic ensemble which lasted for four meetings. The results showed that of the eighteen students who attended the Culture-Based Arts Education course, when it came to Rhythmic Ensemble, fifteen of them got an A and only one got an A-. All of them can read notes and show them through body rhythmics while singing folk songs. Therefore, it can be recommended that early childhood teachers for music learning, especially in discussing the value of notes/rhythmic learning, use the solfeggio technique using folk songs to introduce local culture from an early age. Abstract

Over time, local cultures are forgotten. Many students don’t have interest to their culture. Therefore, the goal of this study is to analyze integration of pantun as local cultural literation media for elementary school students. The research is qualitative and uses the literature study method. This study was carried out by searching journals from the science education journal, ScienceDirect search engine and other keywords pantun, local cultural literacy, media literacy, and poem resulted in 2.855 articles. Derived from ScienceDirect, ERIC, and Indonesian science education. Through above process, ten appropiate articles were obtained. Then analyze, and extracted. This study also uses interview and observation instrument in two elementary schools. The subject of this researches are elementary school’s students and teachers. This study conclude that pantun can be used to improving local cultural literacy students because it is easy to remember, easy to be named, and it can be produced as a branding that can be loaded in banners, posters, flash cards, and other printing media that can be displayed in school corridors, class, gardens, squares, and anywhere that can be adapted to the content of pantun.

Abstract

Dol music is a musical ensemble consisting of big dol, small dol and tassa. This music is the traditional music of Bengkulu. This music has its own role and function in accompanying the Tabot Ceremony in Bengkulu. The purpose of this research is to describe the role and function of Dol music in the Tabot ceremony in the city of Bengkulu.This study uses a descriptive qualitative research method. Data collection techniques were carried out by observation, interviews and documentation. Data analysis was carried out with the stages of data reduction, data display, and drawing conclusions. The results of the study showed that Dol's music played the role of accompaniment to the Tabot ceremony series from the opening to the closing series. In carrying out this role, Dol's music functions as a validator for social institutions and as a form of symbol. The rhythm of Dol music at the Tabot ceremony is a symbol of the atmosphere during the war, namely the rhythm of Sweri as a symbol of triggering enthusiasm, Tamatam as a symbol of solace or releasing fatigue, and Swena/Meradai as a symbol of mourning.

Abstract

This study originated from a problem in grade V students of SDN Bojong 03, namely the low student learning outcomes in the material of poetry writing skills. Writing poetry as a skill needs to be trained so that the expected results can be achieved, one of the efforts to improve poetry writing skills is to apply the Contextual Teaching and Learning (CTL) model assisted by audiovisual media. The purpose of this study is to explain the process and results of improving poetry writing skills with the Contextual Teaching and Learning (CTL) model assisted by audiovisual media. This research was conducted at SDN Bojong 03 in class V with a total of 26 students. This research method uses a classroom action research method conducted over three cycles. Each cycle consists of four stages, namely, planning, implementation, observation or observation and reflection. Each cycle was carried out for three meetings, one meeting lasted 2x35JP. The results of this study have increased learning outcomes in each cycle. In cycle I, the score ≥ 70 was 12 students with a percentage of 48%, in cycle II, the number of students who received a complete score ≥ 70 was 17 students, and the third cycle, the number of students who were complete was 22 students with a percentage of 85% and the average score was 77. Based on the increase in learning outcomes, it can be concluded that the use of Contextual Teaching and Learning (CTL) models is assisted by audiovisual media.

Abstract

Children's poetry is a literary problem that is widely studied and in demand, but elementary school students, are constrained in the problem of arranging poetic words, difficulty developing ideas, the impact of lack of guidance in the post-COVID-19 pandemic, or lack of attention in writing poetry. This problem is the background for the improvement of learning after the COVID-19 pandemic carried out by teachers in the form of real action learning to write acrostic poetry in developing creative thinking skills as a form of student-centered learning challenges. This study aims to describe the challenge of teachers to develop students' creative thinking skills in writing acrostic poetry in elementary school. This type of research is qualitative. The research method used is a qualitative descriptive study, with a phenomenological approach. The procedure of this research is an interview and literature study. The source of data in this study came from primary data and secondary data. The findings of this study are 1) School Profile; 2) creative thinking skills; 3) learning to write acrostic poetry; and 4) teacher challenges. The results showed that in the face of challenges in learning to write acrostic poetry in elementary school, teachers need to develop models, approaches, strategies, methods, and techniques of learning to write acrostic poetry centered on students so that the ability to write poetry students in the development of language and literature can continue to be accommodated optimally. This study concludes that learning to write acrostic poetry for students makes an effective and significant contribution to the development of students' creative thinking skills in writing poetry, this is a challenge for teachers in the implementation of concrete actions to improve the quality of student-centered learning.
