Abstract

This research is based on the rampant use of Artificial Intelligence in learning in this digital era. There is no exception in learning Arabic. Various Artificial Intelligence can be used to perform certain tasks. Among them is ChatGPT. This study aims to test the accuracy of ChatGPT in analyzing Arabic Qowa’id from one of the texts in the book Qira’at ar-Rasyidah. This research is a literature study with a qualitative descriptive method. The techniques used in collecting data are documentation and content analysis. The results of this study show that there is an accuracy between the results of Qowa’id detection by ChatGPT and the Qowa’id Theory proposed by experts. Of all the words that have been analyzed, 99% show suitability. However, as an Artificial Intelligence, of course, mistakes are still found even if it is only 1%. So from this research, it is hoped that readers can understand that ChatGPT can indeed be used in learning Arabic, one of which is to identify Qowa’id, However, a deeper correction is still needed. In addition, the researcher invited academics to conduct similar research to explore the potential use of other Artificial Intelligence that can be used in learning.

Abstract

In learning a foreign language such as Arabic, vocabulary is a very important aspect. This study discusses an android-based picture guessing game in increasing the Arabic vocabulary of MI Hasyim Asyari Jember students. The purpose of this study was to determine the effectiveness or not of the Android-based picture guessing game in increasing vocabulary. The object is students of class II MI Hasyim Asyari Jember. This research is included in the pre-experimental research because it only uses one class as the experimental class as well as the control class. The design used was one group design pre-test post-test. Researchers used the data method in the form of a test with ten multiple choice questions. Based on the results of the pre test and post test, the average pre test result was 61.5 and the post test average was 83.5. In addition, the calculated t value is greater than t table so that H0 is rejected and Ha is accepted. So, an android-based picture guessing game can be said to be quite effective in increasing the vocabulary of grade II students with a percentage of 65.75%.

Abstract

This research aims to explore the potential for using TikTok as a digital media in Arabic language learning, focusing on identifying the utilization of TikTok in Arabic language learning. This research was conducted in response to the increasing use of technology using digital media in education, especially using TikTok as media in Arabic language learning. The research method used is a literature study with a desk research approach, namely exploring data from empirical and relevant research. The research results show that TikTok is one of the social media platforms that can potentially be utilized for learning. TikTok, which is audio-visual based, is seen as attractive by students. In addition, many features can be used to increase students' creativity. As a learning media, TikTok also can make it easier for educators to deliver learning materials effectively. The characteristics of TikTok are also easy to use and are close to students' personalities because they are used in their daily lives. The utilization of TikTok in Arabic language learning can be applied to improve the four Arabic language skills by utilizing the available features. For example, in learning listening (istima') skills using the For Your Page (FYP) feature or the Hashtag feature to search for Arabic content, in speaking skills (kalam) through the voice recording feature, reading skills (qira'ah) through the duet feature, writing skills (kitabah) using the edit and write features.

Abstract

Abstract: Today’s graduate students in Arabic language education are unmistakably digital natives—predominantly young women (70.6%) aged 21–25, graduates of Islamic higher education institutions across Indonesia, and deeply embedded in digital culture. This study explores their research interests, academic expectations, and aspirations through a structured survey of 51 newly enrolled master’s students at Maulana Malik Ibrahim State Islamic University (UIN Malang). Findings reveal a decisive shift in scholarly orientation: 37.3% identified “technology and media in Arabic language education” as their primary research interest, far surpassing traditional domains like linguistics or literature. Their call for innovation is not merely technological but pedagogical—they seek curricula that integrate digital tools, emphasize practical application, and align with 21st-century competencies. Simultaneously, a significant academic preparedness gap emerges: 72.5% requested intensive training in scholarly writing, and 64.7% demanded access to international journals, signalling a need for methodological scaffolding. Global aspirations are equally strong, with multiple students explicitly advocating for student exchange programs to Saudi Arabia, Malaysia, and Madinah. Thematic analysis of open-ended responses yielded five strategic priorities: (1) strengthening academic capacity, (2) advancing internationalization, (3) ensuring curriculum relevance in the digital era, (4) improving internal management, and (5) nurturing an Islamic scholarly vision that fuses linguistic mastery with civilizational mission. This study argues that the voices of digital-native students are not peripheral feedback but central diagnostic data for transforming Arabic language education into a dynamic, responsive, and globally engaged discipline in the Global South.
