Abstract

Through various derivative innovations made from coconut raw materials, this service activity aims to increase public knowledge, understanding, and awareness of environmental conditions and conservation efforts in increasing the productivity of coconut products, as well as increasing the income of the people of Kebun Kelapa Village . Farmers are often held hostage by the buying and selling system set by middlemen who have little choice but to sell coconuts at perfunctory prices or debt is another forced choice. Because the dependence of farmers on the coconut industry and middlemen is getting bigger. In addition to the low price, farmers have to share the results with other coconut picking workers because they can no longer afford to pick coconuts themselves. As a result of unresolved issues in the supply chain that cause prices to drop significantly, there is a need for pricing in the market.

Abstract

Abstract: Income plays an important role in determining household expenditure, including family food consumption patterns. In Sei Rotan Village, wet-rice farmers face both internal and external challenges. The gap in access to modern technology in the agricultural sector is not only a technical issue, but also a social and economic issue that requires serious attention. This activity is expected to add insight into the interactive platform among participants, allowing the exchange of experiences and information among farmers, as well as facilitating discussions on important issues in local agriculture. The method used in community empowerment through Community Service activities by supervisors is in line with the Real Work Lecture by Universitas Pembangunan Panca Budi students. The success of this community service activity cannot be separated from the solid collaboration between supervisors, students, partners, and all members of the Sei Rotan Village community. Through this community service activity, the community can increase income from the agricultural sector and have an impact on improving the welfare of farmer groups. Keyword: income increase, agricultural digitallization

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to see the differences before and during the pandemic on the variables of Exchange Rate, Inflation, Interest Rates and the Money Supply. The method used is the Differential Test method. The results of this study show that there are no significant differences between the Exchange Rate, Inflation and Interest Rate variables before and during the Covid-19 pandemic in Indonesia. Then in the Variable Amount of Money Supply there are significant differences before and during the Covid-19 pandemic in Indonesia. Thus it can be seen that there is one variable that has a significant difference and three variables that have no significant difference before and during Covid-19. Therefore, in maintaining the stability of the value of the rupiah during the pandemic, the Central Bank must be more careful in maintaining the Money Supply. Where the Money Supply itself has a significant influence both before the pandemic and during the pandemic. If the Money Supply increases, Inflation will also increase, this has an impact on the stability of the Indonesian Rupiah Exchange Rate.

Abstract

Islamic microfinance institutions face complex challenges in data management and customer behavior prediction in the digital era. This study aims to optimize the Gradient Boosting algorithm with pruning techniques to predict customer collectibility. The analysis was conducted on data from 57 customers with 7 attributes from 2022 to 2024. The research methodology includes four stages: data collection, pre-processing, modeling, and evaluation. Pre-processing involves handling missing data, normalization, encoding, and feature selection. Modeling using XGBoost with and without pruning, followed by evaluation using accuracy, precision, recall, F1-score, confusion matrix, and ROC curve metrics. The results show an increase in model performance with pruning: accuracy increased by 0.70%, precision 0.60%, recall 0.80%, and F1-score 0.70%. This technique is effective in reducing overfitting and increasing model generalization. This research provides significant contribution in developing more accurate credit scoring system for Islamic microfinance institutions, improving credit risk management and customer service in Islamic microfinance sector. The findings help Islamic microfinance institutions optimize credit decision-making process and reduce risk in the digital era.

Abstract

This thesis examines the impact of tourism development in Pamah Simelir Hamlet, Telagah Village, Langkat Regency. This descriptive qualitative research involves interviews with various related parties to understand the changes that have occurred. The results show significant positive economic impacts, such as increased community income (up to 80% for MSMEs), creation of new jobs, and increased land prices. Socially, there has been increased access to education and health, as well as changes in more open social interactions. However, this development also has negative environmental impacts, including conversion of agricultural land, increased volume of unmanaged waste, and decreased water quality. In addition, coordination with investors is still a challenge. In conclusion, tourism in Pamah Simelir brings great benefits, but requires sustainable management and strong collaboration between the government, managers, and the community to minimize negative impacts and maximize the potential of the region.
