Kegiatan praktikum masih kurang pelaksanaannya karena berbagai permasalahan. Praktikum penting dilakukan untuk memperdalam pemahaman materi dan keterampilan proses sains siswa. Tujuan penelitian adalah untuk menganalisis respon siswa terhadap kegiatan praktikum pada materi organisasi tingkat sel di SMAN 1 Meukek Kabupaten Aceh Selatan. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode deskriptif kuantitatif. Sampel penelitian adalah siswa kelas XI IPA yang berjumlah 25 siswa. Teknik pengambilan sampel secara purposive sampling dan pengumpulan data menggunakan angket dan analisis data menggunakan rumus persentase. Hasil penelitian menunjukan respon siswa yang positif terhadap praktikum dengan perolehan nilai 84,4% dengan kriteria sangat baik. Kegiatan praktikum pada materi organisasi tingkat sel berdampak terhadap keterampilan proses sains siswa dan motivasi belajar siswa di SMAN 1 Meukek Kabupaten Aceh Selatan

The rebuilding of the post-tsunami community residential in Banda Aceh has had an impact on the emergence of Aedes habitat. The Aedes choose a container to breed based on biotic and abiotic factors that support their survival. This study aimed to the identification of Aedes species, location and type positive containers Aedes larvae at the area tsunami Banda Aceh. Methods an observational study of a cross-sectional approach involved 100 houses. Data larvae were collected using the single larvae method. Observations of containers were carried out in natural and artificial containers, indoors and outdoors. Positive containers Aedes larvae were recorded for the type of container and location found. The result of the study found two species of Aedes, there were Aedes aegypti and Aedes albopictus. Larvae of Ae. aegypti was generally found in containers indoors (71%) and containers outdoors (29%). Larvae of Ae. albopictus were found in containers indoors (10%) and containers outdoors (90%). The types of positive breeding containers of Ae. aegypti found were bathtubs (71%), discarded tires (9%), plastic drums (5%), water tanks (5%), watering pots (5%) and flower pots (5%). The containers were observed found larvae of Ae. albopictus were the bucket (30%), plastic drum (20%), bathtub (10%), discarded tires (10%), pet drinking place (10%), mineral water jar (10%) and coconut shells (10%). Monitoring of containers indoors and outdoors that can hold water is important supports the eradication program breeding places of Ae. aegypti and Ae. albopictus.

A good learning process involves both teachers and students collaboratively. Teacher-centered learning often leads to passive students who tend not to experience engaging learning opportunities. A case study at SMAN 1 Teupah Barat Simeulue indicated that students' learning outcomes in the human digestive system topic were still suboptimal, and students' critical thinking in responding to real-life problems had not yet emerged. This study aims to analyze students' learning outcomes and activities through the implementation of a problem-based learning model assisted by TikTok short video media in the human digestive system topic. The research used a pre-experimental method with a one-group pretest-posttest design, while student activity was measured through observation. Data was collected using test questions and observation sheets. Data analysis was performed with SPSS Version 25 and descriptive statistics. The findings showed that students’ learning outcomes on the human digestive system topic improved significantly, with a p-value of 0.000 < 0.05. Meanwhile, students’ learning activities reached a final score of 66.77%, categorized as good. The application of a problem-based learning model integrated with TikTok video media on the human digestive system topic can enhance students' learning outcomes and activities.

Tumbuhan mempunyai berbagai khasiat obat salah satunya adalah sebagai penawar racun gigitan atau sengatan hewan dari filum Arthropoda seperti kalajengking, lipan, tungau, kutu busuk, nyamuk, lebah, tawon dan lain-lain. Masyarakat Desa Paya Dua Kabupaten Aceh Barat masih memanfaatkan tanaman pekarangan untuk menanggulangi masalah tersebut. Tradisi penggunaan obat tradisional untuk penawar racun di Desa Paya Dua diturunkan dari satu generasi ke generasi berikutnya dan telah berlangsung dalam kurun waktu yang lama. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui spesies tanaman, bagian tanaman yang digunakan dan cara pengolahan tanaman obat penawar racun terhadap serangan filum Arthropoda di pekarangan rumah battra Desa Paya Dua Aceh Barat. Penelitian ini adalah metode deskriptif dengan pendekatan kualitatif. Pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan metode survei. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa tanaman obat penawar racun di pekarangan rumah battra Desa Paya Dua terdapat 5 spesies, bagian tanaman yang digunakan untuk mengobati dampak gigitan/sengatan, alergi atau peradangan akibat serangan filum Arthropoda yaitu bagian getah dan biji tanaman. Cara pengolahan tanaman obat penawar racun filum Arthropoda yaitu dengan cara ditetes, digosok dan dioleskan secara langsung. Tanaman pekarangan rumah battra di Desa Paya Dua Kabupaten Aceh Barat mempunyai potensi sebagai obat penawar racun filum Arthropoda.

Plant growth and development materials contain abstract concepts that require in-depth understanding. This study aims to examine the improvement of research parameters using a cooperative model on plant growth and development material. The research method used literature study with secondary data from research articles. Data were presented in tabular form and analyzed descriptively. The results showed that learning models such as discovery learning, problem-based learning, guided inquiry, and cooperative method of Two Stay-Two Stray (Ts-Ts) type were used in plant growth and development material. The application of cooperative models can improve students' activities, learning outcomes, and interest in the material of plant growth and development.Key words: Learning activity, learning outcomes, plant growth and development material, learning models.

This research aimed to determine the preferences and activities of Aedes aegypti toward attractant plants in the laboratory. This was a descriptive observational study using the visual control method. The data were analyzed using descriptive statistics. The results showed that the highest presence of male (50%) was found on Mangifera indica, followed by Murraya sp. (23%), Ixora sp. (11%), Annona muricata (11%), Plumeria sp. (3%) and Pteridium aquilinum (2%). The highest presence of female (65%) was found on Mangifera indica, followed by Murraya sp. (9%), Ixora sp. (9%), Plumeria sp. (9%), Annona muricata (4%), and Pteridium aquilinum (4%). The feeding activity of both male and female was highest on Mangifera indica and lowest on Ixora sp., Pteridium aquilinum, and Annona muricata. Resting activity was observed on all test plants except Pteridium aquilinum. The Mangifera indica has a high attraction for both male and female Ae. aegypti for feeding and resting activities.

This study aimed to determine the diversity of gastropods in the littoral zone of Seurudong Beach, Sawang District, South Aceh Regency. The research method used a combination of transect and quadrat methods. The research site was divided into 3 different stations. Each station consisted of 3 observation points, with each point placed 4 research plots. Transect lines were drawn from each point vertically from the coast. The transect line used measured 40x10 m, in each transect line there were 4 plots measuring 1x1 m which were placed intermittently with a distance of 10 m between plots. The data were analyzed using the Shannon-Wiener diversity index. A total of 882 gastropod individuals from 24 species and 13 families were found across the three research stations. The diversity of gastropod species found in the littoral zone of Seurudong Beach is in the medium category, with an H' value of 2.473. Environmental measurements recorded the following parameters: temperature (29–31°C), pH (7.9–8.5), and salinity (30–32‰). These values comply with the seawater quality standards established in Decree of the Minister of Environment No. 51 of 2004, indicating favorable and normal ecological conditions at the study site. ekosistem seperti kawasan pesisir Pantai Lapeng Pulo Breuh Aceh Besar. Kawasan pesisir Pantai Lapeng Pulo Breuh adalah salah satu kawasan pantai pesisir di Pulo Breuh yang masih alami dan vegetasi yang relatif bervariasi. Kondisi ini diduga mempengaruhi kehadiran berbagai spesies burung di kawasan pesisir Pantai Lapeng. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui keanekararagama spesies burung dan status konservasi burung yang terdapat di kawasan pesisir Pantai Lapeng Pulo Breuh Aceh Besar. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode titik hitung (point count) pada setiap stasiun pengamatan. Analisis data menggunakan indeks Shannon-Wiener. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa terdapat 17 spesies burung yang berhasil diidentifikasi di kawasan tersebut dengan nilai rata-rata indeks keanekaragaman spesies (H') sebesar 2.482 yang tergolong pada kriteria tinggi. Kehadiran Rangkong Papan dengan status IUCN Near Threatened menunjukkan pentingnya upaya konservasi untuk melestarikan habitat burung di kawasan ini. Untuk menyelidiki unsur-unsur yang memengaruhi keanekaragaman burung dan membuat rencana konservasi yang berhasil, diperlukan penelitian lebih lanjut. Studi ini memberikan informasi tambahan tentang keberagaman burung di kawasan pesisir Pantai Lapeng Pulo Breuh, yang penting untuk mendukung upaya konservasi dan pengelolaan yang berkelanjutan.

Pembelajaran yang efektif melibatkan peserta didik secara aktif dalam berbagai aktivitas pembelajaran. Studi kasus di MTsS Insan Qur’ani, Kabupaten Aceh Besar, menunjukkan motivasi belajar peserta didik tergolong tinggi, namun partisipasi aktif mereka dalam proses pembelajaran masih kurang optimal. Selama pembelajaran materi sistem pencernaan manusia, peserta didik tampak fokus mendengarkan penjelasan guru, tetapi sebagian besar kesulitan menjelaskan kembali materi yang telah disampaikan. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis peningkatan partisipasi aktif peserta didik melalui penerapan model pembelajaran talking stick dan penggunaan media video. Penelitian menggunakan desain tindakan kelas (PTK) dengan teknik pengumpulan data berupa observasi partisipatif dan analisis data secara induktif serta statistik deskriptif. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa model talking stick meningkatkan partisipasi aktif peserta didik sebesar 15.6%, sedangkan penggunaan media video memberikan peningkatan sebesar 17.1%. Kombinasi model talking stick dan media video meningkatkan partisipasi aktif hingga 16.3%. Implementasi kedua strategi ini tidak hanya meningkatkan interaksi antar peserta didik, tetapi juga mempermudah visualisasi konsep abstrak, sehingga mendukung pemahaman materi sistem pencernaan manusia secara lebih mendalam.

Salted eggs are one from of processed eggs that aims to extend shelf life and improve taste. Biology Education Studentsfrom the 2021 and 2022 classes are khown to only know straw and ash salting media, so this study aims to analyze the effect of four salting media: straw, brunt rice husk, burnt coconut fiber, and salt solution on the organoleptic quality of salted eggs. The research was conducted experimentally using a descriptive analysis approach using averages with 4 treatments and involving 20 panelists from two classes. The parameters tested included aroma, taste, color, and texture using a 5 level Likert scalee. The results of the organoleptic test showed that the burnt rice husk media produced the most preferred taste (score 3.4), the best color was produced by the straw media (score 4), and the highest texture was also found in the burnt rice husk media (score 3.6). The highest aroma was recorded in the straw media (score 3.35). The salt solution media had the lowest scores in almost all aspect. In conclusion, the burnt rice husk media is the most superior media overall in producing preferred salted eggs based on the organoleptic test.
