Abstract

Background: Adolescents, a group with high nutritional needs, are facing the triple burden of malnutrition. Depok has the highest prevalence of overweight adolescents in Indonesia. Data shows an increase in the consumption of high-fat and high-sodium foods. Technological advancements have made foods more accessible, in 2020 Indonesia had the highest food delivery service usage in Southeast Asia. These factors may negatively impact adolescent diet quality, leading to health issues and higher risks of degenerative diseases. Objectives: This study analyzes the factors related to diet quality among adolescents at Yadika 12 High School Depok. Methods: This quantitative study used a cross-sectional design conducted at Yadika 12 High School Depok with 108 respondents selected using stratified random sampling. The dependent variable was diet quality, while the independent variables included the frequency of food delivery services usage, high-risk consumption habits, and nutrition knowledge. Diet quality was measured using the Diet Quality Index for Adolescents (DQI-A). Other variables were assessed using questionnaires and a Food Frequency Questionnaire. Bivariate analysis performed using the Spearman test. Results: Bivariate analysis indicated that the frequency of food delivery services usage (r=-0.044, p-value=0.654) is not associated with diet quality. In contrast, high-risk consumption habits (r=-0.256, p-value=0.007) and nutritional knowledge (r=0.217, p-value=0.024) associated with diet quality. Conclusions: High-risk consumption habits and nutrition knowledge are factors related to the diet quality of adolescents at Yadika 12 High School Depok. Interventions and implementing balanced nutrition guidelines and other nutritional information can be effective steps to improve the diet quality of adolescents.

Abstract

Background: Teachers play a vital role in education and must maintain productivity. However, some teachers face overnutrition due to spending most of their working hours on low-physical-activity tasks. Previous research in vocational high schools (SMK) in Bogor City reported that 37.3% of teachers were classified as having level I obesity, while 10.7% had level II obesity. Objectives: This study aims to examine factors associated with overnutrition among senior high school (SMA) teachers in Bogor City and to analyze differences in overnutrition risk factors between public and private schools. Methods: A cross-sectional design with a total sampling method was employed, involving 121 teachers, comprising 60 from public schools and 61 from private schools. Data collection included questionnaires and anthropometric measurements, analyzed using Chi-Square and Mann-Whitney tests. Results: The analysis revealed significant associations between overnutrition and factors such as age (p-value<0.05), family income (p-value<0.05), physical activity (p-value<0.05), energy intake (p-value<0.001), protein intake (p-value<0.001), fat intake (p-value<0.001), carbohydrate intake (p-value<0.001), and nutritional knowledge (p-value<0.001). Gender, vegetable and fruit consumption, and stress (p-value>0.05) showed no association. Significant differences were found in physical activity (p-value<0.05), stress (p-value<0.05), protein intake (p-value<0.05), fat intake (p-value<0.05), carbohydrate intake (p-value<0.05), and vegetable (p-value<0.001) and fruit (p-value<0.001) consumption between public and private school teachers. Conclusions: Factors associated with overnutrition among high school teachers in Bogor City include age, physical activity, dietary intake (energy, protein, fat, and carbohydrates), nutritional knowledge, and family income, with significant differences between public and private schools.

Abstract

Background: Obesity is a nutritional issue with an escalating prevalence. Riskesdas 2018 indicates that the adult obesity rate has reached 21,8%. College students are in a transitional phase from adolescence to adulthood, which necessitates adaptation to the academic environment that often lead to the development of unhealthy lifestyles. This issue causes college students susceptible to obesity due to risk factors, such as eating patterns, eating behavior, physical activity, and stress. Objectives: Analyzing factors associated with the incidence of obesity among college students at Fakultas Ilmu Kesehatan Universitas Pembangunan Nasional (FIKES UPN) "Veteran" Jakarta. Methods: Observational analytic research with a cross-sectional design, conducted from February-April 2024, involving 232 respondents. Respondents were selected using the stratified random sampling. Data were obtained using questionnaires and anthropometric measurements then analyzed using the Chi-Square Test. Results: The statistical analysis indicate that the frequency of sweet food consumption has a p-value of 0.111, sweet beverages frequency (p-value=0.733), high-fat food frequency (p-value=0.036), sweet intake (p-value=1.000), high-fat intake (p-value=0.426), fiber intake (p-value=0.819), emotional eating (p-value=0.057), external eating (p-value=0.871), physical activity (p-value=0.271), and stress (p-value=1.000). Conclusions: The frequency of consuming high-fat foods has been significantly associated with obesity among college students. Consequently, students are recommended to be more mindful of the frequency of high-fat foods, such as fast food and fried food, to minimize factors contributing to obesity. In contrast, obesity is not associated with the frequency of sweet foods and beverages consumption, sweet intake, high-fat intake, fiber intake, emotional eating, external eating, physical activity, and stress.

Abstract

The Indonesian government in the National Energy General Plan (RUEN) targets the number of electric vehicles to be 2,200 four-wheeled vehicles and 2.1 million two-wheeled vehicles which must be achieved at least by 2050. Currently, the number of motorized vehicles that are widely used is motorbikes, because the price is relatively cheap, can penetrate traffic jams and use less fuel when compared to other motorized vehicles. Electric motorbikes are an alternative that can reduce the impact on the environment and support government programs in achieving the RUEN target. This study aims to determine the interest of teenagers in using electric motorbikes. By conducting a survey of 144 teenagers based on 4 aspects, namely Environmentally friendly, price, infrastructure availability and operational costs. After the survey was collected, a statistical test of Validity, Reliability and normality was carried out to determine the level of accuracy of the survey data and the results were Valid, Reliable Questionnaires but the data was not normally distributed. Then by using one of the tools in Statistical Process Control, namely the Pareto Diagram which has a rule of 80: 20, the results showed that Respondents realized that electric motorbikes were more environmentally friendly than motorbikes with gasoline fuel. However, in terms of price, respondents have not yet influenced them in buying electric motorbikes. While in terms of infrastructure availability, respondents also considered it inadequate. Meanwhile, in terms of operational costs, respondents also did not influence their interest in buying.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui nilai indeks glikemik dan beban glikemik dari produk kefir susu kambing dengan penambahan madu randu ( Ceiba Pentandra ). Desain penelitian yang digunakan adalah true experimental dengan desain crossover ( non-randomized ) dengan dua perlakuan. Perlakuan pertama yaitu pemberian makanan standar ( glukosa murni ) sementara untuk perlakuan kedua yaitu pemberian makanan uji ( kefir susu kambing dengan penambahan madu randu ( Ceiba Pentandra ) ) yang dilakukan pada waktu yang berbeda. Pengujian produk ini melibatkan 8 orang panelis tidak terlatih.  Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa kefir madu randu  memiliki indeks glikemik kategori  rendah 53,98 ± 42,26   dengan beban glikemik kategori rendah pula ( 1,27 ) dalam sajian 100 ml. Terdapat perbedaan yang signifikan antara kefir madu dengan makanan standar ( p=0,018 ). Kefir madu randu ini cenderung dapat mengontrol kestabilan dan mengurangi lonjakan pada glukosa darah sehingga cukup aman dikonsumsi untuk penderita diabetes.

Abstract

The objective of this study was to analyze the intake of energy and nutrients, nutritional status, and anemia status in adolescent boys with drug abuse at boys penitentiary class IIA Tangerang. This study used cross sectional design. Subjects of this study were adolescent boys with drug addiction. Sampling method used was purposive sampling and the number of subjects was 40 people. Descriptive analysis showed energy (35.0%) and protein (27.5%) adequacy level were categorized as severe deficit. Mean energy from food provided by the penintentiary hadn’t met subjects’ daily requirement while mean protein had met subjects’ daily requirement. Iron adequacy level was categorized as adequate (82.5%) and vitamin C adequacy level was categorized as inadequate (100.0%). Most subjects had normal nutritional status (85.0%) and anemia (57.5%).

Abstract

This study aims to identify and reduce potential hazards during the fabrication process. The research utilizes the Hazard Identification, Risk Assessment, and Risk Control (HIRARC) method for risk analysis and the Job Hazard Analysis (JHA) method to identify hazardous stages. Based on the hazard identification results, the risks associated with each task are assessed based on severity and likelihood to determine the level of risk. The findings indicate the presence of 15 potential hazards across 7 types of tasks in the Sewing Line at PT. TMT Bintan, comprising 4 moderate risk hazards, 3 high risk hazards, and 8 extreme risk hazards. Recommended Risk Control measures applicable to the sewing line system include technical controls (such as equipment maintenance or upgrades, technological improvements, and installation of protective devices), administrative controls (such as the development of regulations, warnings, safer work instructions, and health checks), and the use of personal protective equipment (PPE)

Abstract

Body image is a perception of how someone sees and thinks about their body. Teenagers are more interested in their body shape and this will have an impact on their self-confidence. Teenagers' dissatisfaction with their bodies can encourage them to adopt the wrong diet in an effort to get the ideal body shape. Body image is one of the factors that influences nutritional status. Teenagers tend to easily experience stress which may be caused by problems at school or in their friendship environment. In-depth knowledge is needed so that teenagers can manage their stress well. Based on reports from School Z, around 100% of teenagers have never received counseling regarding nutritional status and stress management. This activity aims to provide students with in-depth knowledge and understanding regarding body image and stress management. The counseling was carried out in August 2023 and involved class 10 students at Z High School as the main target. Counseling is delivered through PowerPoint, leaflets and posters. The students fill in the pre-test and post-test questions to be used as evaluation material for this activity. There is an increase in the minimum knowledge score, namely 0 (zero) during the pre-test to 60 during the post-test. The community service team hopes that after the activities take place, teenagers will be able to independently monitor nutritional status and manage stress.

Abstract

Hipertensi merupakan salah satu penyakit tidak menular yang dapat menyebabkan komplikasi penyakit lainnya, yaitu penyakit kardiovaskuler. Hipertensi merupakan masalah kesehatan umum pada lansia. Seiring bertambahnya usia, arteri cenderung mengeras dan kehilangan elastisitasnya. Berdasarkan hasil analisis situasi yang telah dilakukan di wilayah kerja Puskesmas Cinere Kota Depok pada 30 pra-lansia dan lansia didapatkan, pra – lansia dan lansia yang mengalami hipertensi dengan sebanyak 13 orang (43.3%). Cara mencegah hipertensi adalah dengan meningkatkan pengetahuan gizi terkait hipertensi serta pencegahan melalui aktivitas fisik dapat dilakukan dengan melalui media poster dan permainan emo-demo. Tujuan dari kegiatan ini adalah untuk mengetahui pengaruh edukasi gizi melalui media poster dan permainan emo-demo terhadap pengetahuan pra – lansia dan lansia di wilayah kerja UPTD Puskesmas Cinere, Kota Depok. Pengukuran tingkat pengetahuan responden sebelum dan setelah diberikannya edukasi dengan menggunakan kuesioner yang berisi 5 pertanyaan. Analisis data yang digunakan adalah analisis univariat dan bivariat. Analisis univariat dilakukan untuk melihat frekuensi data, sedangkan bivariat dilakukan untuk melihat kenaikan pengetahuan lansia sebelum dan sesudah intervensi. Hasil yang didapatkan dari Uji Wilcoxon Signed Rank sebesar P-Value 0.000< 0.005, dimana terdapat pengaruh pemberian edukasi melalui media poster dan permainan emo-demo terhadap pengetahuan pada Pra – Lansia dan Lansia di Wilayah Kerja UPTD Puskesmas Cinere, Kota Depok, Jawa Barat.

Abstract

Abstrak Latar belakang: Usia Harapan Hidup (UHH) penduduk dunia, tidak terkecuali di Indonesia, meningkat signifikan selama 10 tahun terakhir. Hal ini mengakibatkan peningkatan pesat jumlah lansia, jika hal ini tidak diimbangi dengan kualitas hidup yang baik tentunya akan berdampak pada gangguan kesehatan. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis hubungan antara status gizi (IMT) dan aktivitas fisik dengan kualitas hidup lansia di RW 02 Desa Jatibening, Bekasi. Metode: Penelitian ini adalah observasional analitik dengan desain cross sectional. Responden dipilih dengan menggunakan teknik simple random sampling dengan jumlah sampel 63 lansia (>60 tahun). Pengambilan data dilakukan pada bulan Desember 2020 – Januari 2021. Data status gizi diperoleh melalui pengukuran langsung menggunakan timbangan digital dan pengukur tinggi badan mikrotoise. Data aktivitas fisik dan kualitas hidup diperoleh melalui pengisian kuesioner dengan wawancara menggunakan Physical Activity Scale for the Elderly (PASE) dan World Health Organization Quality of Life Old (WHOQOL-OLD). Pengolahan data menggunakan uji korelasi rank spearman. Hasil: Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa ada hubungan antara status gizi dengan kualitas hidup (r = 0,471; p = 0,000) dan ada hubungan antara aktivitas fisik dengan kualitas hidup (r = 0,673; p = 0,000) di RW 02 Desa Jatibening , Bekasi. Kesimpulan: Terdapat hubungan antara status gizi dan aktivitas fisik dengan kualitas hidup pada lanjut usia Kata kunci: Status gizi, aktivitas fisik, kualitas hidup, lanjut usia Abstract Background: Life expectancy of the world's population, including Indonesia, has increased significantly for the last 10 years. This research was aims to analyze the relationship between nutritional status (BMI) and physical activity with the quality of life of the elderly in RW 02 Jatibening Village, Bekasi.. Methods: This research method is analytic observational with a cross-sectional design. The respondent was selected by using simple random sampling technique with a total sample of 63 elderly (> 60 years). Data collection was carried out in December 2020 - January 2021. Nutritional status data obtained through direct measurement using a digital scale and a microtoise height meter. Physical activity and quality of life data were obtained through filling out a questionnaire with interviews using the Physical Activity Scale for the Elderly (PASE) and the World Health Organization Quality of Life Old (WHOQOL-OLD). Data processing using the Spearman rank correlation test. Result: The results showed that there was a relationship between nutritional status and quality of life (r = 0.471; p = 0.000) and there was a relationship between physical activity and quality of life (r = 0.673; p = 0.000) in RW 02 Jatibening Village, Bekasi.
