Abstract

The study aimed to analyze the direct effects of the COVID-19 pandemic on the health complaints of elementary school children across West Java. In addition, the specific aim of this study was to obtain empirical evidence on student health complaints during the Covid-19 pandemic. The research method of this study was to use self-made and validated instruments. Data analysis using Microsoft Excel and SPSS 24. The population in this study was elementary school students in West Java. For this study, the number of samples used was adjusted to match elementary school students across West Java drawn at simple random so that 1,867 students were offset. In this study, an instrument in the form of a questionnaire is used and then the data is checked against a Likert scale. The results showed: The students' health complaints during the Covid-19 pandemic were as follows: hypokinetic illness or sedentary lifestyle (60%), decreased physical fitness (60%), decreased immunity (60%), weight gain (62%), Feeling fatter (57%), sleeping irregularly (44%), slightly tired (15%), weak and less energetic (16%), heartburn (8%), frequent dizziness (7%), getting sick easily (flu) ) (14%). Abstract

Learning models in the 21st century are started to be widely used to develop students’ social skills in dealing with various problems. In reality, many students still have not been able to solve social problems. It becomes an ambiguity as the learning models are assumed to be influential in overcoming the problems through meaningful learning. Project-based and Cooperative Learning Models are learning models that are assumed to be effective in developing social skills. However, these two learning models have not received consistent conclusions because previous studies have not specifically compared the two models, especially in Physical Education. This study aimed to determine the effect and prove the effectiveness of project-based and cooperative learning models on student social skills in Physical Education, especially for Senior High School students. The implementation of this research used experimental methods with real experimental designs. Researchers selected two classes at a high school in Tasikmalaya City, West Java, Indonesia, using cluster sampling.  The data collection instrument employed a 3-point scale questionnaire ("0-Never," "1-Sometimes," "2-Very Often") constructed in google forms. The data analysis used in this study was a different test using paired t-test and independent t-test. The results showed that project-based and cooperative learning models were equally effective, as both showed significant improvement in the Social Skills of high school students in each group. This study concluded that both learning models effectively develop adolescent social skills. Therefore, if a project-based or cooperative learning model is applied, students can well develop their social skills.

Abstract

The social skills of teenagers, especially those of high school age, are very concerning. Numerous pieces of evidence point to the existence of social issues that manifest themselves not only in the context of the educational institution but also in the wider society. Lack or low emotional intelligence is considered the presence of disturbances in emotional and social functioning. Social skills and managing emotions are essential to blocking problematic behaviors. But empirical evidence of emotional intelligence and its influence on social skills is minimal. This study aims to prove the influence of emotional intelligence on students' social skills at the High School level. This research uses a descriptive method with a correlational type of research. The population used in this study was all high school students in the Tasikmalaya area, and as many as 173 students were sampled in this study by random cluster sampling. The data analysis was a simple linear regression test using IBM SPSS 26. The result of this study is the relationship between variables of 0.503 in a positive direction, with a coefficient of determination (R Square) of 0.253, which means that free variables have an influence of 25.3% on bound variables. Referring to the calculated F value = 57.967 with a Sig. rate of 0.000 < 0.05 means that the null hypothesis is rejected, and the research hypothesis is accepted. In conclusion, emotional intelligence positively affects students' social skills in Physical Education.

Abstract

Physical activity is one of the vital components of students with disabilities during the COVID-19 pandemic, which is endemic in various countries, including Indonesia. The purpose of the study was to determine the level of physical activity of students with disabilities during the COVID-19 pandemic. Participants of this study were 17 students with disabilities (intellectual disability, hearing impairment, speech impairment) aged 8-14 years. This research used a quantitative descriptive research method. The tool used was the Children's Physical Activity Questionnaire (PAQ-C) distributed through Google Forms. Data analysis included quantitative descriptive statistics analysis and the analytical need testing using IBM SPSS 24 applications. The results showed that the physical activity of students with disabilities during the COVID-19 pandemic was mostly distributed in the low category, nine students (50%). This study implied that students should maintain and increase physical activity by doing light physical activity at least 30 minutes a day and maintaining immunity by eating nutritious foods such as vitamins, fruits, vegetables, and healthy foods to prevent the spread of the COVID-19 virus. It will be interesting to study adaptive learning more deeply during pandemics in a broad scope in Indonesia for further research.

Abstract

This research is a quantitative study with a correlational design that aims to determine the relationship between motor learning and cognitive function in students of public elementary schools in Kuantan Tengah District, Kuantan Singingi Regency, Riau Province. The population of this study was fifth grade students for the 2022/2023 school year, with a population of 627 children spread across 27 public elementary schools. The sampling technique used in this research is random sampling. With this technique, I obtained a sample of 94 students. Methods of data collection using tests and measurements of cognitive function and movement skills Cognitive function uses the Concentration Grid Test (CGT) instrument and movement skills by observing movement learning. The results showed that students' cognitive function was in a good category, and their movement learning was also good. The results of the correlation analysis obtained a correlation coefficient of 0.695 > rtable = 0.396. This shows that there is a significant relationship between movement learning and cognitive function in fifth grade public elementary school students in Kuantan Tengah District for the 2022/2023 academic year. The conclusion that can be drawn from the results of the research is that one student's movement learning is influenced by cognitive function. Students who have good cognitive function tend to have good movement skills.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk membandingkan kondisi fisik dan tingkat respons antara mahasiswa prodi PJKR dengan mahasiswa prodi Bahasa Prancis angkatan 2023. Kondisi fisik yang dianalisis meliputi beberapa aspek seperti kebugaran jasmani, komposisi tubuh, kecepatan, kelincahan, koordinasi, keseimbangan, dan fleksibilitas. Tingkat respons yang dianalisis meliputi kemampuan untuk melakukan aktivitas fisik, mengurangi risiko kelelahan fisik, dan mengurai stress. Penelitian ini membandingkan kondisi fisik dan tingkat kebugaran antara mahasiswa PJKR dengan mahasiswa Bahasa Prancis. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa mahasiswa prodi PJKR memiliki kondisi fisik yang lebih baik dibandingkan dengan mahasiswa prodi Bahasa Prancis. Kondisi fisik yang dianalisis meliputi komposisi tubuh, kecepatan, kelincahan, koordinasi, keseimbangan, dan fleksibilitas. Hasil tes kebugaran jasmani juga menunjukkan bahwa mahasiswa prodi PJKR memiliki tingkat kebugaran yang lebih tinggi dibandingkan dengan mahasiswa prodi Bahasa Prancis. Abstract

Di era globalisasi dan kemajuan teknologi informasi, pengaruh terhadap aktivitas fisik siswa semakin meningkat. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui dampak perkembangan teknologi informasi terhadap pola aktivitas fisik siswa. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah tinjauan pustaka yang mengumpulkan data dari berbagai sumber yang relevan. Studi ini menyoroti kompleksitas hubungan antara penggunaan teknologi informasi dan tingkat aktivitas fisik siswa. Kemajuan teknologi informasi telah terbukti mengakibatkan penurunan aktivitas fisik, dengan lebih banyak siswa bermain game online dan berkurangnya aktivitas fisik di dalam dan di luar kampus. Oleh karena itu, penting untuk memahami secara pasti bagaimana teknologi informasi berdampak pada aktivitas fisik siswa dan peran penting pendidikan jasmani dalam menjaga kesehatan fisik dan mental siswa. Oleh karena itu, pemanfaatan teknologi informasi dalam dunia pendidikan perlu mendapat perhatian agar dapat memberikan dampak positif bagi perkembangan peserta didik secara keseluruhan. Abstract

Pendidikan jasmani dapat menjadi wadah yang ideal untukmengembangkan kecakapan hidup. Penelitian inimenggunakan metode systematic literature review, yang merupakan pendekatan untuk mengidentifikasi, menilai, dan menginterpretasi seluruh kajian terkait denganpersoalan, topik, atau fenomena penelitian. PengembanganKeterampilan Sosial Pendidikan jasmani mendoronginteraksi sosial yang positif melalui kegiatan kelompok dan olahraga tim. Dalam konteks ini, siswa belajar untukbekerja sama, berkomunikasi efektif, dan menghargaikontribusi orang lain. Ini sangat penting dalam membangunketerampilan seperti kolaborasi, empati, dan kemampuanuntuk menyelesaikan konflik secara konstruktif. Abstract

This study aims to determine the impact of the pandemic Covid -19 on the active life behavior of junior high school students in West Java. The populace used became junior high college students in West Java, and a random sample of 1854 college students was represented from each district. The sampling method used an easy random technique (random sampling). The studies approach used a descriptive quantitative approach. The tool became a physical activity questionnaire for kids (PAQ-C). Data evaluation using Microsoft Excel and SPSS 24, the outcomes are as follows: The active life conduct of junior excessive school students before the pandemic Covid-19 changed into distributed within the mildest class as many as 1099 humans (59%) and at some point of the Covid-19 pandemic the highest distribution turned into within the low category as many as 1,075 humans (58%). Physical sports completed using junior high school college students in West Java before the pandemic Covid-19 were jogging, conventional sports, soccer, volleyball, badminton, basketball, futsal, self-protection, energy education, gymnastics, and even physical activities in the course of the pandemic Covid-19 have been sunbathing, walking, jogging, cycling. Maximum bodily interests are assisting the aged. For the duration of the Covid-19 pandemic, the impact on college students' physical hobbies reduced from the medium category to the low class.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to determine and examine the effect of the Team Games Tournament (TGT) learning model on increasing creativity, cooperation, soccer skills in deaf students. The method used was an experimental method with a research design was a pretest and posttest design. The population in this study were students of SLB Negeri Cicendo and the sample was 20 grade students. The sampling technique is total sampling. The research instrument is creativity developed from Juliantine's research (2010) and the instrument for playing football skills using GPAI (Game Performance Assessment Instrument Components). The results showed that: (1) there was an effect of the Team Games Tournament (TGT) type of cooperative learning model on creativity in deaf students, (2) there was an influence of the Team Games Tournament (TGT) type of cooperative learning model on cooperation among deaf students, (3) There is the influence of the Team Games Tournament (TGT) type of cooperative learning model on the skills of playing football in deaf students, (4) there are differences in the Team Games Tournament (TGT) type of cooperative learning model and the conventional learning model on creativity, cooperation, and football playing skills of deaf students . Referring to the results of the analysis and research conclusions, the authors provide several recommendations for other researchers who are interested in answering new findings, namely regarding the absence of influence on the variables of creativity, cooperation, football skills through the Team Games Tournament learning model. This may be a weakness in the researcher regarding the research method, data collection techniques, and the sample involved.
