Abstract

This study aims to find out the correlation between the students’ listening and speaking mastery of Vocational High School in Klaten. There are two language skills correlated, such as listening and speaking. The sample is sixty two students in the tenth grade of State Vocational High School 1 Klaten. The writers calculate the correlation coefficient value by using the Pearson Product Moment formula. The rXY value is 0.352601. According to the r value on the r table, the level of significances of 5% and 1% for the sixty two students are 0.259 and 0.325. It can conclude that the rXY value is greater than the level of significances at 5% and 1% on the r table. Based on this result, the hypothesis in this study is accepted. It means that there is a significant correlation between the students’ listening and speaking mastery of Vocational High School in Klaten.

Abstract

The state health burden comes from the high population growth, infectious diseases, non-communicable diseases, and the higher mental health disorder. In a long period of time, this will undermine the nation’s productivity level and the economy in a country. The effort to promote the population services, health, and disease prevention need to be taken seriously. Most morbidity, mortality, population explosion, and disability as the disease effect can be prevented through promotive and preventive efforts. However, the efforts to enhance public health quality in primary service level are currently not optimal. The loose health promotion and disease prevention result the high number of morbidity and mortality. In the quarter IV 2017 there were 3.597 mothers’ died during childbirth and 22.327 infants’ death. The prevalence of the stunting toddlers or short stature was 27.6 percent, 3.4 percent of children under five were malnourished, and 14.4 percent of children under five were less malnourished [1]. This study is based on the consideration that it is necessary to conduct evaluation research on the quality services of Posyandu Desa through the Servqual model test, the importance of continuous research, and the consistency of the previous researcher. In particular, this study aims to determine the gap value and the efforts to close the biggest gap through Sevqual test. The population in this study are housewives who have children under five as the receiver of Posyandu Desa services. This study uses purposive sampling of 60 respondents in the village area of Klaten Regency. The attributes in the quality service questionnaire include tangibles, reliability, responsiveness, assurance, and empathy [2]. Quantitative tests to be conducted include the item validity test and Servqual Analysis confirmation test. From the result, it is obtained that there is still negative value with the largest negative value on the tangible dimension. The improvement efforts must be continued with emphasis on improving the value which have the largest negative dimension to enhance the quality service of Posyandu KB in the community

Abstract

Mastery of grammar/structure is central to mastery of language skills. Without mastering structure, students will have difficulty expressing their thoughts both orally and in written. Based on several years of teaching experience, researchers know that most students have succeeded in mastering lecture material through the lecture method. The researchers formulated two problems: 1) Is there a significant difference in structure learning achievement between students taught through lecture and inquiry methods?, 2) Which method results better structure learning achievement?.The population of this study are the third semester students of the English Education Study Program, Widya Dharma University of Klaten for the 2022/2023 Academic Year with a total of 20 students. The sampling technique used was purposive sampling. The independent variables in this study were students who were taught by lecture and inquiry methods. While the dependent variable was structure learning achievement. Researchers used the test method to collect data. The content validity of the test used was tested by comparing the content of the test with the content of the material taught in semester III. The data analysis method used was a statistical method of t-test. The mean of students taught by the lecture method is 76.6, and by the inquiry method is 73.91. The t-test calculation result of  0.181 does not fulfill any of the t-table lists, so there is no significant difference in structure learning achievement between students taught through lecture and inquiry methods; and lecture method is better at producing structure learning achievement.

Abstract

Learning model is very important to use for the success of learning. With an easy model, students will be interested in learning. That is why the researchers did a research in the implementation of the CIRC learning model on learning students’ reading at a vocational high school. This qualitative research data were collected by doing observation, interviews, and documentation. The result showed that the CIRC learning model was successfully applied. This can be seen from the increase in student scores. It was also found that the English teacher experienced difficulties in managing the class when students made presentations. From these obstacles, the solution taken by the teacher was giving assignments to students when their friends make presentations.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan menguji model apakah nilai nilai pengetahuan kesiapsiagaan towards dan perceived behavior control dalam teori Planned Behavior memiliki pengaruh positif terhadap sikap kebencanaan ibu ibu di lereng Semeru Jawa Timur. Desain penelitian dilakukan dengan menggunakan metode kuantitatif yang menjelaskan hubungan kausal antara satu variabel gayut dengan dua variabel bebas yang diuji. Uji hipotesis dirumuskan dalam model menggunakan uji multivariat. Populasi dalam riset seluruh ibu-ibu di lereng semeru. Teknik pengambilan sampel dilakukan secara purposive sampling sebanyak 100 responden ibu-ibu di lereng Semeru. Hasil akhir dari model diperoleh identifikasi terdapat pengaruh positif pengetahuan kebencanaan dan perceived behavior control terhadap sikap kebencanaan. Abstract

This community service program is a series of activities that involves students and the academic community within the Faculty of Psychology, Gadjah Mada University, and some faculties in Widya Dharma Klaten University through an eco-green program for environmental care. The methods for implementing activities include as follows: 1) collecting data profiles on students and the academic community within Gadjah Mada University and Widya Dharma Klaten University and 2) empowering students through eco-green training on student empathy for the environment. The results of the activity obtained positive results where there was a change in student behavior before and after the activity. Developing a leadership spirit and cultivating students' sense of empathy for the environment through eco-green programs is not enough to be done in a short time, but requires a long and continuous period of time. Future activities need to continue to be carried out through several improvements in implementation methods.

Abstract

Pemberdayaan UMKM Keluarga Aisyiyah in the community is very important. Keluarga Aisyiyah plays a role in empowering families in improving the welfare and family quality in aspects of health, morals, faith and behavior. This is inline with one of the main programs of UMKM Keluarga Aisyiyah namely education and skills. On this occasion, as a form of community services, the authors cooperate with UMKM keluarga Aisyiyah in order to improve family welfare in the local environment through the improvement of cooking , handircaft skills that are expected to be useful later.

Abstract

Indeks Tata Kepolisian (ITK) merupakan alat untuk mengukur sejauh mana kinerja tata kelola kepolisian baik di level Mabes, Polda maupun Polres menggunakan prinsip-prinsip tata kelola pemerintahan yang baik. Pengukuran ITK ini telah dilaksanakan sejak tahun 2015 berdasarkan semangat untuk mewujudkan profesionalisme Polri yang bersih dan bebas korupsi, kolusi dan nepotisme. Pengukuran ini menerapkan prinsip tata kelola kepolisian yang baik: kompetensi, responsif, perilaku, transparansi, keadilan, efektivitas dan akuntabilitas. Penilaian persepsional dari pihak internal dan eksternal atas layanan Polres Klaten meliputi: SIM, SKCK, BPKB, tilang, sidik jari, dan pengaduan masyarakat dilakukan untuk mengetahui sejauh mana tingkat pelayanan, rawan pungutan liar, KKN dalam proses pengurusan administrasi. Dengan melibatkan total 98 responden yang terdiri dari 51 responden internal dan 47 responden eksternal, pengukuran ITK-O Polres Klaten dilakukan secara serempak di Aula Satya Haprabu Polres Klaten pada 26 Oktober 2022. Keseluruhan responden mengisi survei secara daring melalui smartphone masing-masing. Kendala teknis yang dihadapi lebih banyak disebabkan dari faktor aplikasi ITK yang kurang mobile-friendly sehingga keterbacaan teks kurang maksimal. Di sisi lain, karena sistem tidak dapat menyimpan hasil jawaban secara otomatis dari setiap pertanyaan yang dijawab, terpaksa beberapa responden mengulang pengisian dari awal karena salah pencet tombol ketika unggah identitas diri.

Abstract

The use of English is very important nowadays. As the English teachers, we have a duty to share our knowledge to the society. English training is one activity that can be applied. In Menden Village, Kebonarum District, Klaten Regency, we were held this English training to the people who live there to become the participants. This activity is aimed to foster participants’ interest in mastering English, to provide additional basic knowledge of English, and to provide a way of learning English with specific strategies. It is hoped that this activity can be useful to their daily life to face the globalization era.

Abstract

  Pengabdian kepada masyarakat yang dilaksanakan oleh dosen ini bertujuan memberikan pendampingan bekal materi konsep disrupsi kepada mahasiswa baru Unicersitas Widya Dharma Klaten. Kegiatan dilakukan meliputi: 1) Pembekalan materi secara klasikal, diskusi kasus, dan role playing; dan 2) Praktik lapangan melalui rangkaian kegiatan PKK (Pengenalan Kehidupan Kampus) melalui kerjasama dengan berbagai individu dan institusi terkait antara lain konsep Ketahanan Nasional dengan pihak Kepolisian, TNI, tokoh influencer wirausaha muda, praktik lapangan eco-green penanaman pohon dan suplai air bersih bagi masyarakat yang membutuhkan. Dilakukan pula pengenalan UKM, HMP, dan BEM serta pentas budaya bagi  mahasiswa baru. Keseluruhan kegiatan diperoleh hasil positif dimana mahasiswa baru antusias mengikuti semua program kegiatan selama empat hari hingga selesai. Muncul output dan outcome dengan meningkatnya pengetahuan dasar konsep disrupsi yang akan mereka lalui di masa mendatang sebagai generasi Z. Kesemuanya bermuara pada terbentuknya fondasi jiwa mahasiswa baru yang tangguh, memiliki inovasi untuk aktif mengikuti kuliah dan memiliki bekal optimal terkait hard skills serta soft skills di masa mendatang.
