Abstract

Background: Pregnancy is a significant and indelible experience in a woman's life. Pregnancy has the potential to become an emotional upheaval for certain women. If not properly handled, it can lead to issues for both the mother and the newborn. Substantial data indicates a strong correlation between pregnancy and various psychological issues among expectant mothers, such as worry, anxiety, and sadness. Physical exercise, such as meditation or yoga, is a treatment used to decrease anxiety in pregnant women. The aim of this study was to assess the impact of prenatal yoga on the anxiety levels of primigravida pregnant women in the third trimester at PMB Eny Islamiati Bululawang Malang. Methods: This research employs quantitative methodologies with a pre-experimental design utilizing a one-group pretest post-test design. Specifically, it involves studying a single group of individuals and measuring their characteristics both before and after receiving therapy. Results: The study revealed that all 16 respondents encountered anxiety before the session. Following the administration of partial intervention, 43.8% of the respondents reported no anxiety, 43.8% reported mild anxiety, and 12.5% reported moderate anxiety. Subsequently, a p-value was obtained, indicating that exercise affects anxiety levels. The impact of yoga on anxiety levels of primigravida pregnant women in their third trimester will be studied at PMB Eny Islamiati Bululawang Malang. Conclusions: The researchers found significant variations in anxiety levels among Primigravida III Trimester pregnant women before and after participating in yoga exercises at PMB Eny Islamiati Bululawang, Malang Regency

Abstract

Background: Gross motor skills are important for a child's survival because they are stimulated during childhood, which is a long time to practice everything that will be carried into adulthood. According to national data, in Indonesia, 11% of children below the age of 5 experience growth and development disorders. The purpose of this research was to analyze the differences on the child's gross motor skills before and after the traditional engklek game at Dharma Wanita Tisnogambar Kindergarten, Jember Regency. Methods: Pre-experimental is the method used in this research with a one-group pre-post test approach. With a total population of 30 Dharma Wanita Tisnogambar Kindergarten children and a sample of 16, the SOP for playing crank and gross motor observation sheets, the intervention was carried out for 2 weeks with 4 meetings, the Wilcoxon Match Pairs Test is the analysis used by the researchers. Results: The results of the gross motoric research before the game were carried out in the BB category of as many as 11 children (68.8%) and in the MB category of as many as 5 children (31.3%). Meanwhile, after the game was played, the results were in the BSB category, namely 10 people (62.5%), in the BSH category, namely 4 people (25%), and 2 other people were in the MB category (12.5%). The results of the analysis show that there are differences on the child's gross motor skills before and after the traditional engklek game, the p-value is 0.03 - 0.05. Conclusions: The conclusion is that before and after the traditional engklek game, there are differences in the gross motor skills of children in kindergarten.

Abstract

Background: Infant growth and development represent fundamental indicators of child health and well-being. Data from the 2022 Indonesian Nutrition Status Survey indicate a persistent prevalence of underweight among children, recorded at 17.0% in 2021 and slightly increasing to 17.1% in 2022. One approach commonly employed to support infant weight gain is baby massage. This study aimed to examine the effect of baby massage on weight gain in infants aged 3 to 12 months at the private midwifery practice (PMB) of Bd. Lialut Iftiyah, S.Keb, located in Malang District, Indonesia. Methods: This study employed a quasi-experimental design with a non-equivalent control group approach. A total of 36 infants aged 3 to 12 months were selected through random sampling and subsequently assigned to either the intervention group or the control group. Data were analyzed using a paired t-test. Results: The results revealed an average weight gain of 332 grams in the intervention group and 219 grams in the control group. A statistically significant difference was observed between the pretest and posttest measurements in both the intervention group (p = 0.00) and the control group (p = 0.00). Conclusion: These findings suggest that while both groups experienced weight gain, the increase was more substantial in the intervention group, indicating a greater effect of baby massage on infant weight gain.

Abstract

Background: The presence of abdominal cramps during menstruation defines dysmenorrhea. Dysmenorrhea is caused by increased levels of prostaglandin (PG) F2-α, which belongs to the category of cyclooxygenase (COX-2) enzymes. Dysmenorrhea causes psychological impact in the form of anxiety and stress and physical impact in the form of impaired physical activity. To reduce these negative effects, the role of midwives as educators is very important. The objective of this study was to evaluate the association between reported stress levels, physical activity engagement, and the incidence of primary dysmenorrhea among female students at Sunan Kalijogo High School in the Jabung District of Malang Regency. Methods: The method used by researchers is quantitative with a correlational analysis design. This research design uses cross-sectional approach and bivariate analysis with the Spearman Rank test. This study employed probability sampling, specifically using the cluster sampling technique. Results: The analysis yielded a p-value (Sig. 2-Tailed) of 0.012 for stress levels in relation to the incidence of primary dysmenorrhea, indicating a highly statistically significant relationship. The analysis produced a two-tailed p-value of 0.025 for physical activity and dysmenorrhea, indicating a statistically significant association between these variables, as this value is below the 0.05 threshold. Conclusion: Dysmenorrhea will increase pain because a lack of physical activity can inhibit blood and oxygen circulation, which can inhibit the production of endorphins. This can cause stress, which has an impact on increasing the incidence of primary dysmenorrhea. When stressed, the body produces excessive estrogen and prostaglandin hormones that cause an excessive increase in uterine contractions, leading to pain during menstruation.

Abstract

Introduction: Fluor albus is one of the problems that has long been a problem for women. Leucorrhea or Flour Albus is a symptom that most women very often experience. This disorder is the second most common problem after menstrual disorders. Fermentation of milk into milk curd is carried out with the help of lactic acid bacteria, namely Lactobacillus bulgaricus and Streptococcus thermophilus, causing microflora in the intestine. Objective: To identify the relationship between consumption of soy milk containing synbiotics and a decrease in the incidence of pathological fluor albus in adolescent girls. Materials and Methods: The population in this study was all female adolescent  with fluor albus, totaling 218 students. Inclusion Criteria: female Adolescent  aged 14-18 years. The sampling technique in this study was purposive sampling. Results: The results of the analysis showed that there were significant changes in the characteristics of fluor albus in the control group and the intervention group (p = 0.000 <0.05). The mean value ± standard deviation of hemoglobin in the control group (9.86 ± 1.09) and the intervention group (10.80 ± 1.47) also showed a significant difference (p = 0.000 <0.05). The average characteristics of fluor albus in the intervention group were greater than the average characteristics of fluor albus in the control group. This means that the provision of milk curd in the intervention group was able to reduce pathological fluor albus. So, the provision of milk curd has been proven to have an effect on the characteristics of the respondents' fluor albus. Conclusion: This study shows that in the pure population there is a significant difference in the practice of preventing pathological fluor albus in women in the intervention group and the control group after the implementation of the provision of milk curd.
