Abstract

This study aims to evaluate the information technology security system at the Unit Sumber Daya Informasi (USDI) of Udayana University using the COBIT 5 framework, focusing on the APO (Align, Plan, and Organize) and DSS (Deliver, Service, and Support) domains. The use of information technology at Udayana University is crucial to support both academic and non-academic activities, making information management and security a priority. The COBIT 5 framework is used to assess IT management capabilities and identify gaps between the current and expected conditions. The research methods include questionnaires, interviews, and observations with unit leaders and staff at USDI. The evaluation results show that the APO 13 (Manage Security) and DSS 05 (Manage Security Service) subdomains have reached level 3 (established process), which means these processes have been well implemented. However, there is potential for improvement to level 4 (predictable process). This study provides recommendations to improve information security management, including establishing of an information security division, enhancing human resource competencies, preparing SOPs, and conducting regular internal monitoring and audits. With these improvements, it is expected that USDI Udayana University can optimally manage and protect the IT system, supporting institutional goals more safely and efficiently.

Abstract

This research examines the implementation of Time-To-Live (TTL) caching within a Content Delivery Network (CDN) model that incorporates API integration, structured to simulate a hierarchical configuration of CDN edge servers across Indonesia's administrative tiers. The analysis centers on the influence of TTL configurations on critical performance metrics—namely latency, cache hit ratio, throughput, and bandwidth consumption. Special focus is placed on scenarios in which a 1 MB data object originating from the Central Government (Level 1) is primarily accessed through edge servers positioned at the village level (Level 5). The simulation envisions a CDN architecture where in the Central Government functions as the Main Server/Origin Server, with edge servers extending across 38 provinces (Level 2), 514 regencies (Level 3), 7,277 districts (Level 4), and 83,763 villages (Level 5).

Abstract

A deep understanding of ship trajectory movements has essential implications for maritime applications, including navigation, monitoring, and marine traffic analysis. Efficient and accurate extraction techniques are necessary to extract valuable information from ship trajectory data. One commonly used approach is the interpolation method, which allows the reconstruction of smooth trajectories from recorded data points. This research is focused on analyzing the extraction of ship trajectories using the interpolation method provided by the Python Vessel Tracking (PyVT) library. This method allows interpolation of ship trajectory data based on various algorithms available in the library. This research aims to evaluate the effectiveness and accuracy of interpolation methods from PyVT in reconstructing ship trajectories from incomplete or disturbed data. Within this research's framework, several test scenarios were implemented to examine different types of ship trajectory data, including data with missing points and speed variations. Evaluation metrics RMSE (root mean Squared Error), which includes reconstruction accuracy, will be utilized from the interpolation algorithm in PyVT.
