Abstract

The objective of this research was (1) to describe the intrinsic substance from the short story "Katastropa" written by Han Gagas. (2) to know the ability from the student of MA Tanjung Jaya in analyzing intrinsic substance from short story as an effort to supply material for teaching short story text. the analysis was doing toward the intrinsic substances which exist in the short story Katastropa written by Han Gagas such as character, plot, background, then the theme and the commision. the sample that used in this research were 20 students. descriptive qualitative was used as the type of the research. the method which used in collecting data were obtained from student sheet. the data then analyzed based on intrinsic substance in short story. from the result of the analysis, the researcher could make a conclusion that the intrinsic substances in story Katastropa written by Han Gagas can be concluded as an effort to supply material for teaching writing short story text.

Abstract

In learning procedure text writing the majority of students get low grades, especially in developing their ideas into written material. In this study, the authors want to see the effectiveness of learning outcomes in the procedure of writing text skills by trying to apply the Group Investigations method to students to see how the writing results in writing procedure texts. This study aims to determine the differences in the learning outcomes of writing procedure texts with the application of the Group Investigations method to the learning of writing procedure texts of students in class XI Vocational High School. The research method used in this study is a descriptive qualitative method that describes the comparison of the results of student scores on learning to write procedure texts using the Group investigation method. The results show that there is an increase in the value of students after being given treatment. The average score at pretest was 72.5, the lowest score was 60, the average score was 75 and the highest score was 80, while the average score at posttest was 85, the lowest value was 80, the average score was 85, and the highest score was 95. This proved that the text learning process the procedure gets better. Students become richer in their vocabulary so that when given treatment students can clearly determine the general statement and structure of the procedure text. With the application of the Group Investigations method to Vocational High School students in class XI, they experience differences after being given treatment.

Abstract

This article describes the results of research on the use of standard language among Indonesian Language students IKIP Siliwangi. This research is motivated by the number of writing captions on instagram that do not pay attention to the standard language in accordance with the rules of language. The purpose of this study was conducted to determine the ability of students of Indonesian Language Study Program IKIP Siliwangi in standard language skills. which is focused on this research is the writing of my language in instagram caption. The results showed only 13.8% of students using standard language in writing the standard language and 86.2% of students do not use standard language in writing captions in instagram. This result shows that the ability to use standard language among Indonesian students of IKIP siliwangi is still low and there needs to be an increase in interest in improving the habit of writing standard language either especially in writing captions in instagram.

Abstract

This study aims to explain the influence of field trip method in learning to write poetry text on class X student of Administration Office 2 SMK Negeri 2 Karawang. The population in this study is all students of class X Administration Office 2 SMK Negeri 2 Karawang with the number of 50 students. The sample in this study amounted to 25 students taken at random simple with random sampling. The instrument used to collect data is the assignment of essay writing essay writing poetry. The method used in this research is the experimental method. Hypothesis testing is done by using "t" test of data processing, obtained the average value of pre test (pre-test) 9,6 and end test (post-test) 14,2. T-count is 2,760 and df 72, p value is obtained 0,002 so p <0,05 meaning significant. So that there is a difference in this study and based on statistical calculations obtained means that the final test (post-test) is better than pre-test and field trip method is very effective to be used in learning to write poetry text.

Abstract

Penelitian ini dilandasi oleh keingintahuan peneliti terhadap implementasi HOTS pada soal bahasa Indonesia kelas VII di SMP. Dari latar belakang penelitian tersebut, dapat ditarik sebuah rumusan masalah yaitu bagaimanakah implementasi HOTS pada soal bahasa Indonesia? Kurikulum 2013 HOTS (High Order Thinking Skill) lebih diutamakan dalam proses pembelajaran, karena siswa dituntut aktif dan mandiri. Dengan demikian, seperti dikemukakan Bloom revisi yaitu C1 (Ingatan), C2 (Pemahaman), C3 (Penerapan/Aplikasi), C4 (Menganalisis), C5 (Mengevaluasi), dan yang terakhir C6 (Mencipta). Penelitian ini bertujuan mendeskripsikan atau mengimplementasikan penggunaan HOTS pada soal Bahasa Indonesia di kelas VII SMP Negeri 1 Cipeundeuy. Alasan dilakukannya penelitian ini, ingin mengetahui implementasi HOTS pada soal Bahasa Indonesia. Metode yang digunakan adalah analisis stastik deskriptif. Peneliti berusaha mendeskripsikan HOTS (High Order Thinking Skill) pada soal  Bahasa Indonesia kelas VII SMP Negeri 1 Cipeundeuy. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian diperoleh temuan 20 soal, terdiri atas 15 pg dan 5 uraian ada beberapa soal telah memenuhi kriteria HOTS.

Abstract

This study aims to prove that there is a significant difference in the ability to write biographical texts between classes that apply project-based learning models and classes that do not apply the model. In reaching that goal, the researcher uses an experimental method with Quasi-Experimental Design research form with Nonequivalent Control Group Design research design. The sample used is simple random sampling because sampling is done randomly. In this study, the sample used is class X Accounting 2 as the experimental class amounted to 36 people and X Accounting 1sas control class amounted to 36 people. Based on research which has been done before by researcher, hence the result of research show data among others mean value (mean) end test experiment class equal to 46,25 while control class equal to 39,30. The result of the calculation of the effect size of the text writing capability of the experimental and control class biographies was obtained at 6.95, classified in the high category. So it can be concluded from the data above, that the ability to write a class biography text that applies the model PJBL higher than the ability to write a class biography text that does not apply the model PJBL.

Abstract

This research is based on the problem of writing writing that occurs in high school, especially in writing exposition texts. The purpose of this study to improve the results of the students' degrees in writing exposition texts and to know the results before and after using discovery learning method. The method used in this research is experiment. The sample of research is the students of class X IPS 1 in the experimental class and the students of class X IPS 2 in the control class. The results showed that there were significant differences between before and after using discovery learning method. Based on the data obtained by researchers there is a difference from the initial test and the final test with an average of 48.7 preliminary tests and the final test of 79.0. Judging from the results of the average student who increased can be concluded that the use of discovery learning method suitable or use in writing text writing exposition.

Abstract

In this study discusses learning to write explanatory texts. This research the author wants to try to apply a project-based learning model in learning to write explanatory texts that are expected to improve the ability of students in writing explanatory texts. This study aims to determine the comparison of student learning outcomes between those who use project-based learning models with those who use conventional learning. The research subject is class XI. The method used in this study uses quasi-experimental and nonequivalent control group design. The instrument in this study used test questions. The sample consisted of the experimental class (using project-based learning) and the control class (using conventional learning), then the sample was classified according to its achievement in three categories: students with high (T), medium (S), and low (R) explanatory text ). The research subjects consisted of 30 students each who had the same initial ability. The results of this study showed the average posttest of students in the experimental class was 71.38, while in the control class the average posettest of students was 66.61. It can be concluded that a significant increase in the ability to write explanatory texts can be done by applying a project-based learning model.

Abstract

Research problems are planning, implementation, and the results of the application of inquiry methods in learning to write poetry in vocational students. This research is based on the lack of poetry writing skills of vocational students. The study aims to describe how the application of the inquri method in the learning process of writing poetry of vocational students? The method of this research is descriptive method. The research technique is observation and testing. The research subjects were 32 students of Class X Marketing 2. The results of the study are 1) planning the implementation of the inquri method in learning is appropriate, 2) the implementation of the application of the inquri method during learning, carried out by the teacher according to the RPP arranged 3) the results of the application of inquiry methods in referral, the initial test average value 63.21 and the average value the final test is 80.91. There was an increase of 17.7%. In conclusion, the inquiry method is effectively applied in poetry writing skills.
