Abstract

Therapeutic Communication as one of the scientific study of communication,especially health communication, in the process of treatment and recovery patients, in thiscase involved the nurses with leprosy patient. This study examines the practice of the nurse’stherapeutic communication will influence the patient to get the better mental condition. Theaim of this research is to determine the therapeutic’s phases and attitude of therapeuticcommunication by the nurse’s with leprosy patients at Bagansiapiapi Leprosy Home.The research was conducted at Bagansiapiapi Leprosy Home of Rokan Hilir locatedin Bintang Ujung Street. This study took place from August to October 2016. The methodused in this study is qualitative study. Research subject determined by the method ofpurposive, and data were collected by means observation, interview, and documentation.Results of this research showed that the correct implementation of therapeuticcommunication phases play a role in the recovery of leprosy patient, consisting ofpreparation/pre-interaction phases which the nurse’s prepare before doing nursing,introduction phases to gain the attention and trust patients who conducted approach, phasesof work that allows to change the patient's behavior for the better by providing appropriatetreatment, an the termination phases when treatment and recovery has been completed. Whilethe attitude of therapeutic communication that conducted nurses with leprosy patients amongothers, by the attitude of presenting themselves by taking a position sitting opposite, usingtouch, observe and maintain eye contact, leans toward the patient when speaking, openness,and remain relaxed in response to the patients.

Abstract

Sexual deviance lesbian label butch becomes a phenomenon that develop in womanhood, including the student. In fact this phenomenon become a public secret that exist in the campus environment. Until this time lesbian phenomenon so developed with the establishment of organizations that contains a group of people who have sexual orientation deviance in Pekanbaru. This study aims to show the motives, meaning and communication experiences student lesbian label butch in Pekanbaru.This study uses qualitative research with phenomenological approach. The subject of research is consist of five students lesbian label butch Pekanbaru who has been chosen using by the snowball technique. This study used data collection techniques observation, depth interviews, and documentation of research. To achieve the validity of the data this study, researcher used the extension of participation and triangulation.The results showed that the motive student lesbian butch label in Pekanbaru City consists of a motive because (Because motive) that is instinct, a sense of comfort and love and affection. While the motive (in order to motive) which is to be a normal woman. Meanings given by student butch lesbian label is as a life experience, something which is regrettable and destiny to live. The communication experience categorized into two pleasant communication experience in the form of acceptance of character, love one another, a good reception from the surrounding environment and the pleasant treatment. and communication experience unpleasant form of conflict and insults of the family, the conflict in romance, physical abuse of spouses and insults and insults from the environment.Keyword: phenomenon, lesbian, butch, motive, meaning, communication experience

Abstract

Transvestites as a part of society deserve equal treatment as other people, on the one hand should be placed as social reality that can not be denied. On the other side, their existence for some people in Indonesia is still considered as behavior deviation and a marginalized community, and also underestimated. This research aims to determine the self concept and communication behavior of the transvestites in Pekanbaru City. How the self concept of transvestites is phisically, mentally, and socially in both positive and negative perceptions, and how to conduct interpersonal communication of the transvestites in verbal and non-verbal communication. This research used qualitative research methods with a presentation of descriptive analysis. Data collection techniques used were observation, interview, and documentation. In achieving the validity of the data in this study, researcher used participatory extension and triangulation. The subject was the transvestites in Pekanbaru City, and the object was self concept and communication behavior of the transvestites in communicate between each other in interaction of interpersonal communication. The result shows that perceptions of the transvestites’ self concept physically, mentally, and socially in positive and negative way in Pekanbaru City was based on some factors, such as family background, financials, environment, and their own experience. Researcher also found their interpersonal communication between each other in verbal and non-verbal were varies, and they used symbols to do their interraction.Key word: Transvestites, self concept, interpersonal communication

Abstract

Companies use promotions to convey expected messages to audiences and may influence public perceptions and actions. The function of Public Relations in achieving the company's goal is to increase the hotel guest's visit, a PR must have a Marketing Public Relations strategy as a priority plan to achieve the company's goals, one of which attracts customers to continue to use their services. Seeing the business competition in the field of hospitality makes the businessmen have to think hard to create the best Marketing Public Relations strategy in order to attract customers. It takes a marketing strategy to increase the guest's visit at the Marina Beach Hotel. From the data the researchers get in the field on pre-observation, the researcher is interested to conduct this research with the aim to see the marketing strategy of Public Relations used in improving the guest's visit at this hotel.This research is a descriptive research using qualitative approach as a tool of its analysis. This researcher informant is from Hotel Pantai Marina is Manager, Assistant Manager, Secretary HRD Hotel Marina Beach as well as hotel visitors as many as 8 people. Observation data collection techniques, interviews and documentation. Technique of data analysis writer use in this research is descriptive qualitative. The result of the research is Public Relations Marketing Strategy through Information in improving guest visit of Marina Bengkalis Beach Hotel done by giving information through media in the form of facebook, spreading a brochure or pamphlet installation, Marketing Public Relations strategy through public service in increasing guest visit Hotel Marina Bengkalis Beach done By providing good service and being hospitable, Marketing Public Relations Strategy through publication in improving the visit of Marina Bengkalis Beach Hotel is done by intensifying promotion in print media and social media, deploying special promos related products and services offered by the Hotel.

Abstract

Abstract Riau University Library is the library is good, this is proven by the best value reached in the accreditation of library by 2013 category "A". The existence of Riau University Library has the goal to support the process and associated library visitors. In line with awards by the University Library of the Riau, researchers interested in conducting research on library services University of Riau in the support process and associated students. This research was conducted with the objective to see how opinions about the services of library visitors Riau University Library in supporting the process and associated students of Faculty of teacher training and education. This study uses qualitative methods. That becomes the subject in this study constitute the entire informants who met the criteria needed in this study, among others, students of the Faculty of teacher training and educational sciences (FKIP) Riau University who visited the University Library University Library head of Riau, Riau, head of the Ministry, the head of the development of the collection, and Processing Staff and service references. Later became the object of research, namely Riau University library service in the support process and associated students FKIP University of Riau and data capture technique in this study using a deep observation and interviews and documentation. The result of the research shows that library visitors gave a positive opinion in terms of the availability of the means and infrastructure repair that is in the library of the University of Riau. It can be seen from the attitude displayed by library visitors such as feeling happy and comfortable when receiving the library services provided, the intensity of the visits students FKIP visited the University Library of Riau, and also understanding library visitors is good in understanding the procedures and rules that apply in the University Library. But in his Ministry, there are a few things that need to be improved in order to be assessed library visitors can enjoy maximum and get more information according to your needs, such as a welcoming and friendly service from librarian, more complete and developed a collection of existing library materials, provides some lack facilities such as plugs, and the need for a more intense socialization regarding the service provided University Library. Abstract

The world of education at the level of kindergarten to the level of higher education must pay attention to science and technology and international language skills to anticipate the arrival of international languages into world languages. El-Shaddai Mulia School is a Kindergarten School that is present in the midst of the community to help early childhood become God-fearing children and skilled in technology and speak English, we know that speaking in English is quite difficult, even though it is difficult but the El-Shaddai Mulia school has succeeded in creating students who are skilled in English and this success is inseparable from the success of the teachers in the school, so the El-Shaddai Mulia school has achievements in the field of English.          This study used a qualitative research design. The research was conducted in the EL-Shadai Mulia Kindergarten in Pekanbaru. Informant selection is done by porposive technique. Data collection techniques consist of observation, interviews, and documentation. While data analysis techniques use qualitative descriptive analysts. For the technique of checking the validity of the data used in this study is the extension of participation, triangulation and adequacy of references.          Instructional communication used by the teacher in the learning process in the El-Shaddai Mulia Kindergarten in Payung Sekaki Subdistrict went well and was responded positively and enthusiastically by the students. This is because when giving instructions, the teacher uses a variety of instructional communication methods. The methods include problem solving methods (Problem Solving), methods of discussion (question and answer), practice methods (exercises), Demonstration Methods, Play Methods and Singing Methods. These methods greatly help the learning process in El-Shaddai Mulia Pekanbaru Kindergarten so that they can create generations that are noble, and have character.

Abstract

Female Disc Jockey becomes a phenomenon that thriving nowadays. Female Disc Jockey comes from different circle such student and even housewife. Until now the phenomenon of Female Disc Jockey is getting more develop marked by increasing the number of their performance on many event such night club in Pekanbaru. On their performance they often wearing sexy clothes. Meanwhile their work place is close to some kind of negative such alcohol, drugs, freesex and led to a negative stigma from many people. This research aims to find out motives, meaning, and communication experiences of Female Disc jockey In Pekanbaru.This study uses qualitative research with phenomenological approach. The subject of this research is consist of five Female Disc Jockeys in Pekanbaru who has been chosen using the snowball technique. This study used data collection techniques observation, depth interviews, and documentation. To achieve the validity of the data, researcher used the extension of participation, triangulation, and adequacy of reference.The results showed first, the motive of Female Disc Jockey in Pekanbaru consists of Because motive that is hobby, trend, intercourse milieu, and fad. While in order to motive which is popularity, recognized by citizen, and parent support. The second, meanings given by Female Disc Jockey is as an experience, fun job, and way of life. The third, communication experience categorized into two, pleasant communication experience in form of support and acceptance of family, sense of comfort toward work environment of Disc Jockey, and support and aceptance from the surrounding environment. And unpleasant communication experience form are prevention or risistance from family, harassment and sense of uncomfort toward activities on work environment of Disc Jockey, and insults, bad perspective, and also unfriendly aceptance from the surrounding environment such intercourse milieu, social networking sites and neighborhood.Key Words: Communication Phenomenon, Female Disc Jockey, Phenomenology, Symbolic Interaction

Abstract

The growing growth in the digital weorld as it grows with an age that will make people aware of the technology and media literacy, not apart from the industrial 4.0. Directly or indirectly, new media outlets are haunting the official communication patten of health with its audience. The advent of new media is having a very powerfull impact on human life right now one is using internet.The study uses a qualitative method. Research subects amounted to 3 people. Data analysis techniques by collecting data, reducing data, presenting data and drawing conclusions. As well as the technique of checking the validity of the data by extending the participation and triangulation.The results of this study are covid-19 information release by the province of Riau health service was done using platform media such as website, facebook, twiter and Instagram. The management of new media by the ministry of undrmanagement province Riau is carried out by several processes namely process organizational planning, implementation and supervision. Planning a plan consist of content, design, cost, means and time. The organization of the organization of media management by the Riau province health service has a sub human resource and is public and has are expert in managing new media are admin of graphic desaign, and it coders. Actuating is done with some are stage data collection media design and did a publication post. Abstract

The level of traffic violations in Pekanbaru increasingly rising. Traffic violations consist of 21493 was given a speeding ticket and 6713 given a reprimand in 2014, whereas in 2015 increased significantly, namely; 11403 27 788 was given a speeding ticket and given a reprimand against violators of traffic in the city of Pekanbaru. In an effort to reduce abuse and raise public awareness of Pekanbaru in driving safe, orderly and peaceful course, is inseparable from the role of communication a more active and effective. The strategy used by the Satuan Lalu Lintas (Sat Lantas) Kota Pekanbaru include preventive strategy being pursued is to disseminate "Safety Riding" through publications in mass media, electronic and print media. This research using qualitative descriptive methods and data collection techniques are grouped by the fact the field through observation, interviews and documentation. Informants in this study consists of 4 people who were taken by purposive sampling technique. Interactive data analysis model the author uses to describe the results of research into techniques for data analysis and data validity checking researchers used a technique extension of participation and triangulation. The results showed that the communication strategy Satuan Lalu Lintas (Sat Lantas) Kota Pekanbaru targeted in disseminating Safety Riding is the entire community of Pekanbaru which have private vehicles, especially two-wheelers and the placement of the target is divided into five segments. Groups of institutions / agencies, groups of motorcycle clubs, youth groups, children and the general public. After the use of the media are divided into media groups and the mass media so that it can reach the whole community. The contents of the message delivered by the Satuan Lalu Lintas (Sat Lantas) Kota Pekanbaru are persuasive message, educative and informative. In doing various activities to socialize Safety Riding. Strategy communicator doing by Satuan Lalu Lintas (Sat Lantas) Kota Pekanbaru by selecting a few volunteers as extended of Satuan Lalu Lintas (Sat Lantas) Kota Pekanbaru to socialize Safety Riding to the public but not in all segments, only the segment motorcycle club, child, and teenagers.Keywords: communication strategy, sosializing, safety riding

Abstract

The presence of the punk community in Pekanbaru, have a perception of punk ideology itself and is influenced by the concept of self to form the character of members of the punk community. Those who joined the punk community will certainly have a perception of punk itself and influenced by the concept of self is formed. The formation of self-concept is due to the interaction of behavior and communication, both verbal and nonverbal. self-concept formed by the interaction and communication that affects a person behave and communicate. This study aims to determine the self-image, self-esteem and the factors that influence the formation of self-concept punk community in the city of Pekanbaru.This study uses qualitative research methods to conduct phenomenological approach. Subjects in this study amounted to 13 people. Data collection techniques are grouped through participant observation, in-depth interviews, and documentation. This study uses a model of interactive data analysis Miles and Hubermen, by using a technique that checks the validity of the data through the extension of participation and triangulation.The results of this study indicate that the self-image that they feel are positive, because they are not harmful and do not disturb others. Self-esteem is high enough punk community members look of self-satisfaction they feel as punkers, they are happy with what they choose. Until the factors that influence on the punk community members family, friends and environment. Conclusion positive self-image visible although they viewed negatively from the appearance and use of symbols inherent in themselves. Esteem of members of the punk community is quite high, although many are abusive, berate, insult but it is felt not affect them. Factors affecting ie, family, friends, and environments that make up the character of the members of the punk community.Kata Kunci : Self Concept, Self Image, Self Esteem, Punk Community
