Abstract

Daily Morning Metro Riau meerupakan one of the local print media are engaged in the business of economic news. One phenomenon that appears on this medium is the large number of incoming advertising in the Daily Morning Metro Riau, while on the reader's interest is still not comparable to reading other print media such as Riau POS . This research aims to : ( 1 ) How does the process of lobbying and carried negosias Daily Morning Metro Riau preformance retain advertisers. ( 2 ) How lobbying and negotiation techniques used Daily Morning Metro Riau in maintaining advertisers. ( 3 ) What factors affect advertisers in choosing Daily PagiMetro Riau as a media product or service . This uses a descriptive analysis with a qualitative approach, which menekannkan in perspective , assessment or emotional expression from informants were surveyed regarding the problems examined are categorized as data. The data source consists of primary data is data obtained from the Daily Morning Metro Riau as supporting this research . That where the data will be processed researchers to develop what is presented by the researcher . Secondary data is data that is sourced from the Daily Morning Metro Riau documentation in the form of a general overview , ornaisasi structure , as well as the tasks and roles karyawan.Pengumpulan data using observations ( interview) , interviews , and analysis of data in dokumentasi.Teknik of the research is the presentation of data analysis techniques , and withdrawal as well as the testing of data validity checking techniques kesimpulan.Sedangkan through the extension of participation and triangulation . The results showed that ( 1 ) The process of lobbying and negotiations are conducted Daily Morning Metro Riau run through four stages where ad management Daily Morning Metro Riau instrumental in channeling strategy of lobbying and negotiations with advertisers . ( 2 ) Engineering lobbying and negotiations are conducted Daily Morning Metro Riau has each of the two stages in which the technique lobby conditioning approach . This approach focuses on lobbying efforts to build new habits and networking approach where this approach seek relationships as much as possible in advance , and not oriented on the outcome while negotiating techniques exist to make the agenda and make the deadline . Abstract

Self presentation is usually done by people with certain professions who are required to have a positive self-image, including Bujang and Dara Riau. Although derived from the ethnic Malay, Bujang and Dara Riau must be able to perform as Tourism Ambassadors who carry out their duties in open, friendly, responsible, and courteous. In other words, when performing in front stage as Bujang and Dara Riau, both have an identity and self-presentation whose are different when in the back stage just like other social beings. Both stages is known as Dramaturgy. This study aim to learn the life in front stage and back stage of Bujang and Dara Riau 2013 as the Riau province of Indonesia Tourism Ambassador and Riau province of Indonesia Miss Tourism.This study use qualitative research methods with phenomenological approach and data collection techniques that are grouped through participant observation, in-depth interviews, and documentation. This study use Miles and Hubermen’s interactive Data Analysis model, using examination technique of data validation through extension of participation and triangulation.Results of this study shows; front stage’s life of Bujang and Dara Riau 2013 is that always feel pleased and proud in their duties which appeared wearing traditional dress or formal dress which wrapped with a cloth sling, along with smile to guest. Back stage’s life of Bujang and Dara Riau 2013 did not have any demands, they can act with their own style when they with close friends and also doesn' want status and fabric sling change their nature and character. Self Presentation of Bujang and Dara Riau 2013 can be a figure with hospitability and not to show off when being in front stage with self presentation also a demand from tasks and status as Bujang and Dara Riau 2013. Summary of front stage’s life from interviewees with status as Bujang and Dara Riau 2013 is a process of image’s management which done in order to meet the expectations, demands and existence. Back stage’s life of interviewees as "social beings" is an appreciation in showing their true self. Iinterviewees self-presentation as Bujang and Dara Riau 2013 shows that demand is the driving factor for them to manage role and impression.Keywords: Self Presentation, Dramaturgy, Bujang and Dara Riau, Front Stage, Back Stage, Phenomenology.

Abstract

Tattooing is a form of expression of someone who poured through the medium of the body and has a meaning for their owners. the phenomenon of tattoos among women has begun implicated. This is due to a shift in lifestyle that mimics the habit in a big city. Tattooed women in Pekanbaru assume that the tattoo is part of the appreciation of the art form. Most teenage girls with tattoos have a habit of hanging out with friends of the opposite sex until late at night, drinking alcohol, and smoking. Although not all the girls who do it but their behavior gets skewed responses from the public.This type of research uses qualitative method with phenomenological approach. Determination of research subjects and informants using purposive sampling considerations. Activity data collection can be done to no more than ten people informant. Criteria informants in this study were: (1) The informant are young women aged 18 -21 years of age or student and student who tattooed his body. (2) The informant is a citizen pekanbaru. While the object of this research is a phenomenon that appears as experienced by women tattooed in Pekanbaru. Data collection techniques in this research was conducted through observation, interviews, documentation and internet searching. Technical analysis of the data used in this study is a qualitative analysis and be open (open-ended), inductive. The technique of testing the validity of the data using the extension of participation and triangulation.The results of this study indicate the motives of women who have a tattoo is to express themselves, describe something that they love through tattoos. The shape of the tattoo drawn on their bodies is an artistic symbol that represents their motive tattooed on their bodies. The response from the public towards women with tattoos lead to negative stigma and assume women are tattooed wild woman.Keyword : Phenomena, Communications, Youth, tattoos

With the increasing development of four stars hotel in Pekanbaru, much less affected Grand Elite Hotel to build a strategy to attract costumer interest. The problem identification in this research is on how the Marketing Public Relations strategy using publication, events, information news, and public service activity to attract costumer interest in Grand Elite Hotel Pekanbaru. This research done by the qualitatif research method with the technique used in the data collection is deep interview, observation, and document used. After the data  is collected, then followed by the process of taking note, typing, editing and qualitatif analysis still using words usually arranged into the expanded text. If the collected data is still less then the researcher will do the checking the validity of the data. The result of research shows that the Marketing Public Relations strategy conducted by Grand Elite Hotel are publication events, informations news, and public service activity. In communicating it’s product, Grand Elite Hotel mostly used the promotion. The promotion done by Grand Elite Hotel is using some kind of media. Media used by Grand Elite Hotel to attract costumer interest is printed media, electronic media, and internet media. Special for costumer that usually use the Grand Elite Hotel service, then Grand Elite Hotel will give special price and always build good emotional bond with its costumers. The obstacles that researcher found to attract costumer interest are 1). Internal factor: the lack of creavity in promotion, less strategic place, 2). External factor: consumers taste and competition. Researcher recommended that Marketing Public Relations strategy can go better in the future, thus require the Grand Elite Hotel to run all the Marketing Public Relations strategy with more constructed. Abstract

In general, diffable students will study at special school, but now there is innovation which called inclusive school. Through inclusive school, teenager student can study at public school and interaction with students that has a normal physical and mental. The condition of difable make acceptance from their friends diverse, some people accept them in a good way and be friends with them, but there are some people bullying their deficiency. Good or bad the communication from their environment, will affect teenagers difable self concept. The main purpose of this research is to determined and understand the perceptual components, the conceptual components, the attitude components and communication experience of diffable teenagers in SMPN 31 Pekanbaru.This research used qualitative research method with phenomenology. Subject in this research were three people. Technique to collect data was through observation, interview, and documentation. This research used data validation technique through the extend of participation and triangulation.The result of this research explained that diffable teenagers in SMPN 31 had diverse self concept. In the perceptual component, the positive side were their physical looks normal, showed neat and beatifull appearance and thinking that they were pretty and had ideal body. While negative side were they felt different from their friends. Then the conceptual components, teenager had positive self concept were confident, independent, be responsible, diligent and polite. The negative side were shy, lazy, unconfident, and spoiled. In the attitude component the positive side were diffable teenager able to socialize, friendly and easy to interact. But the alienated and distinguished feeling were the negative side. And then diffable teenager had a pleasure communication experience was like had happy and proudly feeling, be accepted, given attention and motivation. But also they had a bad communication experience was like insulted, be damned and their friends taken forcibly their money at school.Keywords : self concept, teenager, diffable, inclusive school

Abstract

The problem of abuse and illicit drug in many countries has become a crucial issue, including Indonesia. In Indonesia, Riau particular is an area of central western region of Indonesia that has many entrances from the outside, the year 2012 recorded the BNN of Riau drug users reached 2% and if not minimized projected in 2015 will reach 2.12%. As concrete steps to stem the abuse and illicit drug the government launched a program P4GN 2011-2015 BNN stage to make 97.2% of the Indonesian population immune to abuse and illicit drug and 2.8% of Indonesia's population (drug abuser) gradually gets medical rehabilitation services and social rehabilitation. BNN of Riau implement programs P4GN to achieve the "Riau Drug-Free Year 2015", to achieve this goal BNN of Riau require communication strategy. This study aims to determine the communication strategy BNN of Riau in Prevention, Combating Drug Abuse and Illicit Drugs (P4GN) and to determine the constraints BNN of Riau in the Prevention, Combating Drug Abuse and Illicit Drugs (P4GN).This study used qualitative research methods with a presentation of descriptive analysis is to illustrate and describe the state of the subject or the object of research, at the present time based on the facts that appear. This study uses a model interactive data analysis of Hubermen and Miles, using the technique of checking the validity of the data the extension of participation and triangulation.The results of this study showed that the communication strategy BNN of Riau preformance Prevention, Combating Drug Abuse and Illicit Drugs (P4GN) with four factors, identify target communications, media selection, message communication assessment purposes, the role of communicators in the communication. In implementing the P4GN, BNN of Riau have problems of various factors, community participation, lack of quantity of personnel and lack of coordination among agencies).Keywords : communication strategy,drug, BNN of Riau, P4GN

Abstract

As one of the major companies operating in Dumai, PT. Pertamina RU-II is should be care about and take part in improving the welfare of local communities, especially around the company's operations area. To accommodate it, PT. Pertamina RU-II implementing it in the form of CSR programs of empowerment. To achieve the realization of the program company will require input from local authorities and society, so that the programs will be precisely target as it needs. This research aims to determine how’s the planning, implementing, evaluating, and reporting conducted by PT. Pertamina RU-II in implementation of their CSR empowerment programs.This study uses qualitative research with descriptive approach. Research is located in the main office of PT. Pertamina RU-II Dumai located at Jalan Raya Putri Tujuh No. 1 Kota Dumai. This research began on December 2016 and ended on April 2017. There are 3 people who became subjects of this research which is Section Head of Public Relations and CSR Officer’s at PT. Pertamina RU-II. While object of this research is the implementation of CSR programs of empowerment PT. Pertamina RU-II Dumai. The technique of collecting data are using interviews, observation, and documentation. Data analysis technique using descriptive qualitative analysis by Miles and Huberman. Technical data and validity check is using the extension of participation and triangulation.The results of this research shows that public relations of PT. Pertamina RU-II Dumai has perform several stages in implementing their CSR programs of empowerment such as: First, company charted the region area using social mapping trough cooperation with the third parties such as University. Second, in implementing its CSR programs company will cooperated with some partners such as PNPM Mandiri and LPMK. Third, evaluations from the CSR programs that has been done will be conducted by the auditor team from the head office of PT. Pertamina (Persero) located in Jakarta, while the evaluation of the program will be conducted by PT. Pertamina RU-II along with their working partners from the CSR program’s activity. Last, the evaluation results will be reported to the Senior CSR Officer’s at headquarters in Jakarta and then they will be publish it on the Annual Report which is accessible to the entire people in this country. Abstract

Ibnu Sina Hospital is the Islamic Hospital in Pekanbaru in the field of work processes based on Islamic Shari'a Shari'a. PR Ibnu Sina Hospitals reflect the image and role is to embody the image of the Prima Hospital and Islamic. PR Ibn Sina Hospital Pekanbaru have never had a bad problem in terms of dealing with customers, media, and government. Because according to the hospital management, the PR must maintain a good relationship with these parties.The method used in this study is a qualitative method approach to systems theory. Data were collected through observation, interviews, and documentation. Informants contained in this study consists of four seven people were determined by purposive sampling.Results of research Role of Public Relations of the Ibnu Sina Hospital Pekanabaru in realizing the vision and mission of Ibn Sina Hospital which makes Hospitals are primed and Islami, conducted activities that reflect Houses hurt slam prime and Islamic as well as to maintain the image of Ibn Sina Hospital itself. Abstract

Parking attendant as a profession that is generally dominated by men now also in demand by women. This profession become a choice because it is considered as an easy profession but producing. Until this time, in some corner of the city of Pekanbaru are found many women working as parking attendant. This study aims to determine the motive, meaning, and communication experiences of womenparking attendant in Pekanbaru.This study uses qualitative research with phenomenological approach. The subject of research is consistof sixwomenparking attendants who has been chosen using by the purposive technique. This study used data collection techniques observation, depth interviews, and documentation of research. To achieve thevalidity of the datathis study, researcher usedthe extension ofparticipationandtriangulation.The results showedfirstly, motive woman working as parking attendant consists of because motive that is in the form of economic demands, age factor, low education, there is a chance becoming parking attendant, and compulsion. While in order to motiveis stop becoming a parking attendant and stay to be a parking attendant. Secondly, the meaning of parking attendant by women parking attendant are parking attendant as a decent job, parking attendant as the fields of sustenance, and parking attendant is not women's job.Thirdly, communication experience categorized into two pleasant communication experience in the form of vehicle owners pay more parking fees,getting praise from others, getting the support from the family, and getting the support fromthe owner of the shop. While the unpleasant communication experiences in the form of responses and bad view of society, the vehicle owner who berated a woman parking attendant, the vehicle owner does not pay parking fees on vehicles, getting interference from thugs, and no support from the family.Keywords : meaning construction, woman parking attendants, motive , communication experience

Abstract

Immigration is the movement of people from one country to another. Many factors cause immigration to occur. Refugees as people who take human rights protection to other countries and wait for a third country. Indonesia is one of the destinations for asylum seekers and refugees, and Pekabaru is one of the refugee shelters. Afghan refugees are the largest refugees in Pekanbaru and In Rumbai District. The existence of inhibiting interaction with local community and refugees one of them difference of language. The negative public view of the refugeesThe type of research is descriptive qualitative with phenomenology approach. Based on field facts through observation, interview and documentation. Research subjects are some Afghan refugees in Rumbai District are 4 people who have been in Pekanbaru at 1-4 years in Refugee status. This study focuses on exploration in the informant's communication experience. For the purposes of this study are proposed the following three questions: (1) What is the experience of Afghan refugee communication in Rumbai Sub-district (2) What is the Afghan refugee self image in Rumbai District (3) What is the Afghan refugee self-esteem in Rumbai District.The results of this research show that communication experience is categorized into two, ie, enjoyable communication experience and unpleasant communication experience. The self-image of Afghan refugees is both positive and negative, reflected in their self-image, self-image, personality, self as refugees and self-reliance on the basis of others. Afghan refugees' self-esteem from four informants, three have positive self-esteem and one person has negative self-esteem.Keywords: Refugees, Communication Experience, Self Image, Self Esteem
