Abstract

Runway lighting, namely lights that are installed along the runway (runway) both on the edge and in the middle, Runway lights are also installed at the end of the runway. The function of the runway lights is to provide guidance to pilots on landing and taking off airplanes during the day in bad weather, or at night. In increasing power efficiency so that it is not too large at the Minangkabau airport. Then the replacement of Halogen lamps to LED lamps is carried out in terms of several factors that are more towards the positive side than the negative side, such as from the life time of the lamp, the intensity of the light and the more affordable price. Currently, the Minangkabau airport has not changed the halogen type of runway lights to LED because the economic age factor for the runway facilities at the Minangkabau airport has been fulfilled. One of them is because of the cost, changing the runway lights is quite expensive according to the attachment.

Abstract

The history of radar development dates back to the late 1940s, radar has been integrated into air traffic control systems. Since then much progress has been made in both equipment and procedures that today's radar performs far better than it was originally envisioned a few years ago. Radar equipment is now installed in almost all air traffic control units around the world. The radar system is very helpful for air traffic control personnel, namely maintaining the safety, smoothness and orderliness of air traffic. The existence of radar for the first time was the idea of two German scientists, namely Heinrich and Christian Hulsmeyer, in 1922. Experiments were carried out by the two scientists and then they were able to practice in the field. They use it to avoid collisions between ships in the ocean. From there it finally led to the development of radar. The radar system was first used in 1925 by Gregory Briet and Merle A. Tune of America.

Abstract

Perum Indonesian Aviation Navigation Service Provider (LPPNPI) or AirNav Indonesia was established in accordance with the mandate of Law no. 1 of 2009 concerning Aviation and Government Regulation (PP) Number 77 of 2012 concerning Perum LPPNPI. Perum LPPNPI is the only provider of flight navigation in Indonesia which was previously handled by PT Angkasa Pura I (Persero) and PT Angkasa Pura II (Persero) and the Ministry of Transportation which manages UPT for airports throughout Indonesia. AirNav Indonesia is divided into 2 airspaces based on the Flight Information Region (FIR), namely the Jakarta FIR, which is important at the Jakarta Air Traffic Service Center (JATSC) Branch Office and the Ujung Pandang FIR, which must be at the Makassar Air Traffic Service Center (MATSC) Branch Office. Center (JATSC) Air Navigation Indonesia is a business entity that provides flight navigation services in Indonesia which is located at Soekarno - Hatta Airport and does not aim to seek profit, in the form of a State-Owned Enterprise whose entire capital is owned in the form of separate State assets and is not divided into shares in accordance with Law Number 19 of 2003 concerning StateOwned Enterprises. One of the units of the Aviation Automation Facilities division at the Jakarta Air Traffic Services Center (JATSC) is the Automatic Message Switching System – Aeronautical Data Processing System (AMSS-ADPS) unit. AMSS - ADPS Unit is a work unit that maintains and prepares equipment conditions related to message handling and aeronautical data processing to assist flight safety at JATSC. The Automatic Message Switching System – Aeronautical Data Processing System (AMSS –ADPS) unit owns and maintains equipment including the ATS Message Handling System (AMHS), Aeronautical Data Processing System (ADPS), Web Server, E – Charting, Automatic Terminal Information Service ( ATIS). ), Converter, Notam Office (NOF) and other Automation Facilities are Unit Flight Data Processing System – Radar Data Processing System (FDPS-RDPS). This unit maintains and operates equipment such as the Enhanced Jakarta Automated Air Traffic Control System (EJAATS), Jakarta Automate Air Traffic Services (JAATS), Controller Pilot Data Link Communication (CPDLC), and Automatic Surface Movement and Guidance Control System (ASMGCS).

Abstract

The use of the Circling Approach is to increase awareness and familiarity with the controller so that it can reduce risk, increase safety and make it easier for the controller to accelerate and maintain the regular flow of air traffic. So there needs to be an effort and real steps to improve quality, professionalism, productivity, and work ethic. high level of existing human resources. The research objective in this on the job training report is the pattern circling approach runway 17 to 35 in order to create maximum service for air transportation service users both in terms of safety and efficiency. the method used by the author in this study is a kualitatif method and descriptive method. Researchers describe events and events at the Sultan Iskandar Muda international airport with a circling approach using runway 35. Based on the research that the author has carried out, making a pattern circling approach on runway 17 to runway 35 has a predetermined altitude and speed procedure as a requirement based on the rules in DOC 8168 PANS-OPS is one of the best ways to solve this problem, so that if there are aircraft those experiencing factors that cause a missed approach do not need to re-approach on runway 17, the controller can immediately advise the pilot to do a circling approach so that the aircraft movement becomes more efficient and lands on runway 35.

Abstract

When carrying out the Operational test by turning on the strobe light, it is found that the Rear Strobe Light section is not lit. This light that we usually see is flashing white when the plane is in the air. Spotlights are flashing lights that are visible to the ground. Strobe Light is working as an onboard activity activity to be seen by Air Traffic Control (ATC). Strobe Light has a switch to push the lights in the Cockpit on the Overhead Panel. When maintenance was carried out on the ATR 72-500 aircraft, a problem was found, namely Troubleshooting Strobe Light not Flashing ATR 72-500, so the solution was carried out based on the Trouble Shooting Manual (TSM).
