Abstract

The detection system of DDoS (Distributed Denial-of-Service) attacks aims to enhance network security across all facets of internet technology utilization. One is at SPKLU, which stands for Public Electric Vehicle Charging Station. The research employed a deep learning approach utilizing a Convolutional Neural Network (CNN) on a publicly available dataset. Based on our study and analysis, CNN has a precision rate of 95%. Its high accuracy and balanced performance across diverse attack types indicate the model's practical application in real-life situations. The model demonstrates promising performance in detecting different network traffic anomalies, offering significant insight into its potential for practical use. Further investigation is necessary to strengthen the resilience of DDoS assault tactics against emerging dangers and to tackle any potential constraints.

Abstract

One of the causes of food waste is due to the lack of post-harvest handling of fruits or vegetables, therefore, an innovation is needed to overcome this problem, one of which is with edible coating. This study aimed to determine the characteristics of edible coatings from watermelon albedo pectin with the addition of Bandotan leaf extract as an antibacterial against Napu tomatoes. This study used a completely randomized design (CRD) consisting of 4 treatments, namely tomatoes (edible coating), tomatoes (edible coating + 12.5% bandotan leaf ethanol extract), tomatoes (edible coating + 25% bandotan leaf ethanol extract), and tomatoes (edible coating + 50% bandotan leaf ethanol extract). The watermelon albedo pectin characterization test results were the equivalent weight of 558.3 mg, methoxyl content of 6.1%, galacturonic acid content of 32.1%, moisture content of 11.469%, and ash content of 9.378%. From the results of tomato characterization tests for weight loss, moisture content, and microbial tests, the best treatment was produced by tomatoes (edible coating + 50% antibacterial), with consecutive results of 7.90%, 53.18%, 16.6 colonies (10-4 dilution), and 5.6 colonies (10-5 dilution).

Abstract

AbstractThe use of nail polish on Muslim women is only allowed during menstruation and postpartum, because nail polish can block water from entering the nails, making ablution and prayer invalid. Conventional nail polish cannot penetrate water and air. Purple sweet potato peel extract contains anthocyanin as a colouring agent. The main composition in the manufacture of nail polish is a polymer that acts as a film forming material on the nails. Eudragit® RL-100 polymer used as a film-forming material that is permeable, can penetrate water, and air so that it can be used as a film forming material in breathable nail polish preparations. This study aims to formulate breathable nail polish preparations with variations of Eudragit® RL-100 as a polymer that can penetrate water and air based on the water resistance test. The formula was made in 3 variations with concentrations of Eudragit® RL-100 F1 (5%), F1 (10%), F2 (15%). The results showed that formula 2 is the best formula that meets the water absorption test using a 4.6% glass plate, absorption using a tissue 34 seconds, water penetration using effervescent tablets 11 seconds, and water absorption using simulated hand washing colour fading. Keywords: Eudragit® ® RL-10; breathable nail polish; polymer; water resistance; purple sweet potato skin extract.

Abstract

Introduction: Pineapple fruit contains vitamins such as vitamin C, vitamin A, vitamin B1, and vitamin B6, which are good for the skin and overall health. Body scrub is one of the skin care products that functions to remove dead skin cells and smoothen the skin so that the skin will be healthier. This study aims to find out that pineapple can also be used as an active ingredient in the formulation of body scrub preparations. Methods: In this study, pineapple juice was varied in the formulation of body scrub preparations. The evaluation of body scrub preparations includes viscosity testing, irritation, organoleptic testing with hedonic test method, pH, homogeneity, and emulsion type. Results: The results of the organoleptic testing of body scrub preparations with the hedonic test method showed that the most preferred formula was formula 1 with a pineapple juice concentration of 5%. Body scrub preparations without the addition of pineapple juice are white, while body scrub preparations with the addition of pineapple juice are ivory white and have good homogeneity. The pH and M/A type and viscosity of all formulas were obtained in accordance with the literature. Body scrub preparations do not cause irritation and are safe to use. Conclusion: The formulation of pineapple juice body scrub preparations at a concentration of 5%, 10%, and 15% have good physical quality. Body scrub preparations from pineapple juice have good physical quality and acceptability, namely in the 5% formula where the viscosity value is 5390 cp, no irritation occurs, the hedonic test results show significant differences in all formulas, homogeneous preparations, M/A type emulsion preparations, and have a pH of 6.63.

Abstract

LoRa is a low-power wireless communication technology capable of transmitting data over long distances. LoRa is widely used in embedded systems and the Internet of Things (IoT) in various sectors, such as agriculture, fisheries, industry, transportation, and smart cities. However, the data transmitted through LoRa is not encrypted, so the confidentiality of the data is not guaranteed because the data can be intercepted and read by hackers at the same frequency. Therefore, data encryption techniques are needed in the LoRa system to maintain data confidentiality when transmitted. In this research, a LoRa system is designed, and an analysis of the lightweight PRESENT block cipher algorithm is carried out to secure data communication on the LoRa system. This research uses a LoRa RFM95W module with a 915 MHz frequency and an ATmega328P microcontroller. This research method consists of the stages of literature study, design, implementation, testing, and analysis. After the design and implementation stages, the LoRa system was tested with data transmission test scenarios with test vectors and data communication interception tests. This research shows that the PRESENT algorithm was successfully implemented on the LoRa communication system, and hackers could not read the data sent from LoRa Tx and Rx. The test results also show that implementing the PRESENT algorithm on the LoRa system does not affect data communication performance based on RSSI values. The results of this research can be used in further research in various fields, such as IoT security in agriculture, fisheries, transportation, industry, and smart cities.

Abstract

Pembiasaan Pola Hidup Bersih dan Sehat Guna Memutus Mata Rantai Penularan Covid-19 adalah sebuah kegiatan pengabdian kepada masyarakat yang dilaksanakan oleh Program Studi Broadband Multimedia Jurusan Teknik Elektro PNJ. Kegiatan ini dilandasi oleh kenyataan bahwa saat ini sedang mewabah virus Covid 19 yang sangat cepat penyebarannya. Salah satu penyebab cepatnya penyebaran adalah kebiasaan buruk di masyarakat kita yang belum terbiasa membiasakan Pola Hidup Bersih dan Sehat sebagaimana yang disyaratkan oleh Kementerian Kesehatan RI. Seperti diketahui, virus covid 19 dapat masuk dan menjangkiti manusia adalah melalui mulut, hidung dan mata. Anggota tubuh manusia yang sering menyentuh bagian tersebut adalah tangan. Covid 19 menyebar menjangkiti manusia melalui droplet yang dikeluarkan penderita ketika ia berbicara, bersin atau batuk. Droplet tersebut bisa saja menempel pada benda-benda yang sering disentuh oleh tangan. Tanpa mencuci, apabila tangan yang tidak sengaja menyentuh droplet tersebut digunakan untuk makan atau menyentuh bagian mulut, hidung dan mata, maka kemungkinan besar ia akan tertular. Oleh karena itu sangat perlu untuk dilakukan program pembiasaan pola hidup bersih dan sehat diantaranya adalah mencuci tangan dengan sabun. Untuk mendukung program tersebut maka pada kegiatan pengabdian kepada masyarakat kali ini telah dilakukan pelatihan pembuatan sabun cuci tangan, pemberian tempat cuci tangan portable beserta sabun cuci tangan serta pembagian masker.

Abstract

Hegarmanah Village is one of the villages located in Lebak Regency, Banten with the area closest to the Warunghuni coast where sea pandan plants grow (Pandanus tectorius Park.). The sea pandan plant is a wild plant that grows a lot on the coast which is useful for withstanding the impact of the waves and has the effect of minimizing damage to the area behind the pandan vegetation. The community uses sea pandan fruit only for the leaves as raw material for making mats, but the fruit is often thrown away due to lack of knowledge. Sea pandan fruit contains secondary metabolite compounds that are beneficial for health. This community service activity (PKM) aims to increase the community's knowledge and skills in processing sea pandan fruit into herbal drinks to improve the community's health and economy. This PKM activity is carried out in the form of direct training with PKK women at Hegarmanah Village, housewife communities, Karang Taruna youth and village officials with the hope that the community can produce sea pandan juice herbal drinks sustainably and commercialize them as a typical Hegarmanah Village drink. Efforts to increase the selling value of abundant sea pandan fruit into various products with high competitiveness can be realized through continuous coaching and assistance by the community in collaboration with the team from the Pharmacy Study Program, Pakuan University.

Abstract

Indonesian Migrant Workers (PMI) face high occupational risks, making it essential to provide them with appropriate attention to prevent and reduce unwanted incidents. A computerized system in the form of a web application can assist administrators in managing PMI complaints and protection more effectively. Through this system, administrators can handle PMI data, manage content such as news and announcements, monitor statistics related to users, complaints, and protection cases, and manage complaint and protection data submitted by PMI to ensure their safety. This study aims to design and develop a Complaint and Protection Management System Website for PMI in Malaysia. The system includes four main features: secure admin access with login, user registration, password recovery, and administrative capabilities. Administrators can manage user data, handle complaints, update report status, respond to complaints, view other administrators' lists, and modify personal data and password settings. Additionally, they can manage front-end content for the mobile application, including news and announcements. This system is designed to be efficient and responsive to the needs of PMI. The study conducted four tests”Functionality Testing, API Testing, Performance Testing, and Security Testing. Results indicate that the system meets required standards, with no errors detected during testing.

Abstract

The demand for video streaming services is constantly increasing, which requires reliable network performance with high Quality of Service (QoS). One of the solutions to improve network performance and guarantee QoS is to implement Multiprotocol Label Switching (MPLS). This research aims to analyze and compare the performance of non-MPLS and MPLS virtual IP networks on video streaming traffic. The research method is conducted through experiments by implementing two routing scenarios, namely non-MPLS networks that implement the Open Shortest Path First (OSPF) protocol and MPLS networks that implement OSPF with the addition of MPLS mechanisms. Tests were conducted using iPerf3 to measure UDP and TCP traffic (upload and download). In addition, QoS parameter analysis was conducted using Wireshark software on video streaming services with 360p, 480p, and 720p resolutions. The results show that MPLS networks can increase throughput, reduce delay and jitter, and reduce packet loss, especially at higher video resolutions. Video with 720p resolution experienced the most significant improvement, namely the throughput value increased by 40.73%, while delay and jitter decreased by 29.40% and 30.28%, and no packet loss was found. This shows that MPLS performance can provide better data transmission for real-time multimedia services such as video streaming.

Abstract

Kegiatan pengabdian kepada masyarakat ini dilaksanakan dengan tujuan untuk meningkatkan pemahaman dan kesadaran masyarakat berpenghasilan rendah (MBR) serta aparat pemerintah desa di Desa Banjaranyar, Kecamatan Kras, Kabupaten Kediri, mengenai pentingnya hunian yang layak serta untuk menyosialisasikan Program Bantuan Stimulan Perumahan Swadaya (BSPS). Program BSPS merupakan inisiatif strategis dari Kementerian Pekerjaan Umum dan Perumahan Rakyat (PUPR) dalam rangka mendukung MBR dalam meningkatkan kualitas atau membangun rumah agar sesuai dengan standar rumah layak huni (RLH). Kegiatan dilaksanakan melalui sesi sosialisasi tatap muka pada tanggal 10–11 Oktober 2024 di Balai Desa Banjaranyar, dengan metode penyampaian materi secara ceramah dan diskusi interaktif. Hasil kegiatan menunjukkan adanya peningkatan signifikan dalam pemahaman peserta terhadap Program BSPS, serta munculnya motivasi untuk mewujudkan hunian yang layak sebagai upaya peningkatan kualitas hidup. Selain itu, kegiatan ini turut mendorong peningkatan kesadaran masyarakat terhadap pentingnya peran strategis hunian yang sehat dan aman dalam menunjang kesejahteraan hidup, kestabilan ekonomi, serta kemajuan sosial di lingkungan masyarakat. Kegiatan ini diharapkan dapat menjadi model bagi pelaksanaan program serupa di wilayah lain dengan cakupan yang lebih luas, serta mendorong adanya pendampingan berkelanjutan bagi MBR dalam proses pemenuhan hunian layak melalui program bantuan pemerintah.
