Abstract

Abstract

The research objective is to analyze the Technology Acceptance Model (TAM) in measuring QR Code-based object-oriented programming learning multimedia in supporting vocational school students' learning on problem-based object-oriented programming (PBO) material. The TAM model variables used consist of Perceived Usefulness (PU), Perceived Ease of User (PEU), and User Acceptance of IT (UA-IT). The research respondents consisted of 35 students of SMK Negeri 1 Cimahi. The research stages consisted of familiarizing respondents with the use of multimedia, distributing TAM questionnaires, and testing the TAM model using SmartPLS software. The research results show that the average value of the user response questionnaire for QR Code-based PBO learning multimedia is 84.95% in the "Very Good" category. Based on the analysis of the relationship between TAM variables using PLS, it is known that the perceived ease of user variable has a positive influence on the acceptance of QR Code-based PBO learning multimedia, the perceived usage variable has a positive influence on the acceptance of QR Code-based PBO learning multimedia, and the variable perceived ease of use and perceived use. together they have a positive influence on the acceptance of QR Code-based PBO learning multimedia. This research is expected to provide an explanation regarding the use of TAM analysis in learning multimedia

Abstract

Each scientific paper contains references that can be used as a means of accountability for the author. Therefore, references are things that must be considered in writing scientific papers. The purpose of this study is to provide an example and demonstrate an easy way to cite and search for references from Google Scholar. The research method used is an experiment method with a literature study. An internet connection is required to open the Google Scholar search engine. The steps of this research consist of looking for articles in journals, getting citations, and building reference styles. There are several reference styles used in writing scientific papers, such as APA, MLA, Vancouver, Harvard, Chicago/Turabian, and IEEE styles. We identified that Google Scholar can be used as a tool that can assist in finding writing sources. Even though it requires an internet connection, Google Scholar makes it easy for writers to choose the reference style to use by using the "cite" button.

Abstract

A significance test is a test that can determine whether a research hypothesis is accepted or not. Therefore, significance tests need to be carried out, especially for researchers who will conduct research related to hypothesis testing. This research discusses publication trends regarding significance tests. This research aims to analyze research trends regarding statistical significance tests using bibliometric analysis methods assisted by mapping analysis. Bibliometric analysis methods and mapping analysis with VOSviewer were used in this research. The data source was taken from the Google Scholar database in the period 2013 - 2023. The total number of documents found during the last 10 years was 1000 documents. Based on the research results, it was found that the number of publications regarding statistical significance tests has decreased every year. From a total of 281 documents in 2013 to 7 documents in 2023. The results of article data mapping produce three forms of visualization, namely network, overlay, and density visualization. The mapping results show that research on statistics still needs to be carried out, especially regarding significance tests. This research concluded that the trend of research discussing statistical significance tests is decreasing, although, in terms of its use, it is still very important, especially in processing quantitative research data.

Abstract

During the pandemic, online learning may be rampant, which is required by the government. Not a few students and teachers have difficulty using technology in this digital era, especially when collecting assignments. Therefore, we try to introduce the Google Classroom application with the aim of supporting online learning. With quantitative data collection methods, in the form of pre-test and post-test targeting elementary school students. The implementation of the training program is to provide videos in the form of material, so that students can observe, understand and practice it. Pretest results showed 95% and post-test 100%. From these results, students experienced an increase in learning. This is because students are given training before filling out the post-test. It can be concluded that, students agree about the existence of distance learning using Google Classroom. Because this application helps elementary students in collecting assignments.

Abstract

This study aims to develop a Computational Thinking (CT) instrument on Object-Oriented Programming material as a tool for measuring the level of CT in the problem-solving abilities of Vocational High School students. The Plomp model of R&D analysis is used as a research flow. There are four stages of CT instrument development, namely 1) preliminary investigation stage, 2) design stage, 3) realization stage, and 4) evaluation stage. The research method uses a quantitative approach with statistical analysis. The research subjects were 35 Grade 10 students at SMK Negeri 11 Bandung. The findings show that PBO material is suitable for use as a medium for developing CT instruments. Based on the results of the material expert validation and the instrument showed very good results. The instruments developed have been tested for validity, reliability, level of difficulty, and discriminatory power. There were 80 out of 100 questions which were declared valid and reliable for use. The difficulty level of the instrument is in the easy category (46 questions) and medium (54 questions). Meanwhile, the differentiating power of the instrument was in the range of sufficient (17 questions), good (57 questions), and very good (10 questions). The CT instrument developed in this study has categories of 24 abstraction questions, 20 pattern recognition questions, 18 decomposition questions, and 18 algorithm design questions. With the completion of this instrument, it is hoped that it can assist teachers or researchers in measuring problem-solving abilities, especially students' CT abilities.
