Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui persepsi masyarakat terhadap pelestarian dan pemanfaatan spesies riparian serta spesies yang berpotensi sebagai fitoremidiator pada vegetasi riparian di Tepi Sungai Porong, Kabupaten Sidoarjo. Kajian persepsi masyarakat dilakukan dengan wawancara menggunakan rubrik wawancara yang terdiri dari empat variabel (pengetahuan, sikap, tindakan, dan persepsi). Data kualitatif dari hasil wawancara diubah menjadi kuantitatif dengan Skala Likert. Kualifikasi persepsi tiap variabel terdiri dari sangat baik, baik, cukup, buruk, sangat buruk. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa masyarakat di area dekat Tambak mempunyai persepsi paling baik terhadap vegetasi riparian. Hal ini ditunjukkan oleh persentase responden paling besar pada aspek pengetahuan (80%) dan tindakan (72%) dengan kategori baik, serta aspek sikap (92%) dan persepsi (94%) dengan kategori sangat baik. Masyarakat di keempat area belum ada yang mengetahui peran vegetasi riparian sebagai fitoremediator. Namun, dengan persepsi yang baik di tiap area mampu meningkatkan upaya pelestarian vegetasi riparian yang berperan penting sebagai fitoremediasi di Daerah Aliran Sungai Porong.

Abstract

Aim of this experiment to determine arthropods diversity at HM36 Baluran National park after burned and to know it relation with human activity. This experiment held in November 2013. Taking sample using pit fall trap methods at burned land and transition land after burned with two sampling spot and three pit fall jam for each spot. Sample identified with morphological analyze and abundance measurement, Frequency, relative abundance, frequency abundance, and  importance value rank. Diversity analyze using Shannon-Wiener index and Bray Curtis Index to determine similarity level for each location. After burned land has 2.05 and 1.04 at transistion land after burned from diversity analyze. Formicidae dominating at every location of sampling. Each location is different each other with only 25% of Bray Curtis analyze measurement. Abstract

Grasshopper is one type of insect known as a plant pest that quite affects agricultural production. Grasshoppers also have benefits as natural predators and maintain ecological balance. One area where no research has been carried out on grasshopper diversity is Dompu Regency, West Nusa Tenggara, Indonesia. This research was conducted at 4 locations in Dompu, including corn, ex-corn, intercropping, and Doroncanga agricultural land, by making four transects at each location. Grasshoppers were collected using the insect net, and hand collecting was carried out at 07.00 and 16.00 WITA. The environmental factors that were calculated were air temperature, light intensity, wind speed, and air humidity, while the biotic factors observed were plant vegetation at each location and predators. Data analysis was performed using the Shannon-Wiener diversity index, evenness index, dominance index, and Margalef index. The results of this study indicate that Dompu Regency has the potential for diversity of grasshoppers with moderate criteria where the diversity of grasshoppers is strongly influenced by plant vegetation and human treatment on agricultural land.
