Abstract

Amidst the onslaught of globalization in the 21st century, education must innovate in learning to develop problem-solving skills and foster a love of local culture. One way to do this is through the implementation of ethnomathematics in learning. The purpose of this study is to describe the implementation of ethnomathematics in learning to develop mathematical problem-solving skills and a love of local culture. The study used the Systematic Literature Review (SLR) method for articles published between 2018 and 2023 on the impact of ethnomathematics on mathematical problem-solving skills and a love of local culture. Fourteen national and international articles were obtained from the Google Scholar and Scopus databases. The results indicate that ethnomathematics learning can effectively help develop students' problem-solving skills and a love of local culture. Its implementation is used as an integrated approach in learning models and learning media. Therefore, the design of ethnomathematics-based mathematics modules has greater potential to improve students' understanding of mathematical concepts and learning motivation from various cultural backgrounds.

Abstract

This study aims to conduct a Literature review study on STEM Education-based E-LKPD on the material of two-variable linear equation systems and identify and conclude the findings of existing research. The method used is a Systematic Literature Review using 13 relevant articles from accredited national journals collected through Google Scholar. The development of STEM Education-based E-LKPD has demonstrated critical thinking skills in Literature Review. The stages in this Systematic Literature Review process are Planning, Conducting, and Reporting. Data were collected by reviewing or reading every article about STEM Education-based E-LKPD on SPLDV material published from 2015-2024. The results of the study show that this E-LKPD is able to increase active student participation, facilitate conceptual understanding, and strengthen mathematical problem-solving abilities. This media is also considered effective in supporting independent and interactive learning, so that it is in line with the goal of improving the quality of mathematics learning.

Abstract

Infinite series is one of the difficult calculus material for students. It needs to be analyzed the cognitive activities of students to make it easier for lecturers to arrange learning plans. The purpose of this study is to describe the characteristics of the trans level about infinite series. The subject of this research was a student of Mathematics Education, one of the universities in Bengkulu. A total of 5 people were selected from 29 students based on their cognitive abilities. Subjects were interviewed based on the assignment given. Data is analyzed through its genetic decomposition. The results of the study are that subjects can coordinate other objects and processes, so that the scheme is formed about the convergence of infinite series and sequences. Conclusion: the subject is able to do thematization so that forming a mature scheme is a trance level characteristic.

Abstract

Berpikir matematis merupakan keterampilan kognitif esensial yang harus dikembangkan sejak pendidikan dasar guna meningkatkan kemampuan pemecahan masalah, analisis, dan berpikir kritis siswa. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengeksplorasi efektivitas metode inovatif dalam pembelajaran matematika di sekolah dasar, yang mencakup pembelajaran berbasis masalah (Problem-Based Learning/PBL), pendekatan inkuiri, serta integrasi teknologi dalam meningkatkan keterampilan berpikir matematis siswa. Menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dengan metode studi kasus, penelitian ini mengumpulkan data melalui observasi kelas, wawancara dengan guru dan siswa, serta analisis dokumen pembelajaran. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa metode inovatif secara signifikan meningkatkan pemahaman konseptual siswa serta keterampilan berpikir analitis dibandingkan dengan metode pembelajaran tradisional berbasis instruksi langsung. Data kuantitatif dari tes diagnostik menunjukkan peningkatan skor yang lebih besar pada siswa yang menggunakan metode inovatif dibandingkan dengan mereka yang belajar melalui metode konvensional. Selain itu, integrasi teknologi dalam pembelajaran memungkinkan siswa memahami konsep matematika yang kompleks secara lebih interaktif dan intuitif. Namun, tantangan dalam implementasi metode inovatif ini meliputi kesiapan guru dalam mengadopsi strategi pembelajaran yang lebih eksploratif serta keterbatasan infrastruktur di beberapa sekolah. Oleh karena itu, diperlukan kebijakan yang mendukung pelatihan berkelanjutan bagi guru serta peningkatan akses terhadap teknologi pendidikan guna memastikan efektivitas penerapan metode inovatif dalam pembelajaran matematika di sekolah dasar.

Abstract

The proficiency of students in mathematical problem-solving skills is believed to be shaped by factors such as mathematical concepts understanding, creative thinking skills, and self-efficacy. This research endeavors to investigate the interplay among self-efficacy, mathematical concepts understanding, creative thinking skills, problem-solving skills, and mathematics learning outcomes. Employing a survey approach, the study encompasses all ninth-grade students in Central Bengkulu, Bengkulu, Indonesia, with a sample of 100 students selected through proportional stratified random sampling. Data collection involves Likert scale instruments for self-efficacy, along with tests for mathematical concepts understanding, creative thinking skills, and problem-solving skills. Path analysis techniques are applied for data analysis. The findings of the research indicate that mathematical concepts understanding, creative thinking skills, and problem-solving skills collectively exert a positive influence on mathematics learning outcomes. Additionally, it is demonstrated that self-efficacy, understanding mathematical concepts, and creative thinking skills collectively contribute positively to problem-solving skills. Furthermore, the research reveals a direct positive influence of self-efficacy on both mathematical concepts understanding and creative thinking skills.

Abstract

This research aims to determine whether there is a positive correlation between mathematics learning habits through an ethnomathematics approach and entrepreneurial behavior. This research is survey research conducted by mathematics education students in Bengkulu and Lubuklinggau. The sample for this research consisted of 70 students. There are two questionnaires as research instruments. Both are a questionnaire on mathematics learning habits using an ethnomathematics approach, and an entrepreneurial behavior questionnaire. The result of this research is that the complete structural equation model fit test is a good fit, which means that the empirical structural equation model is suitable with the theoretical (conceptual) structural equation model. The results of the hypothesis test show that the calculated t value is 11.364 > 1.96, which means Ho is rejected, meaning that this research hypothesis is accepted. The conclusion is that there is a positive correlation between mathematics learning habits through an ethnomathematics approach and entrepreneurial behavior.

Abstract

The mathematics ability test instrument created by the teacher is without good and reliable instrument development mechanisms and procedures. This research aims to produce a valid and reliable test instrument to measure junior high school students' mathematical abilities. To make it, development research is carried out. The test instrument development model modifies the Wilson Model and the Oriondo and Antonio Model. There are three stages: initial development of the test instrument, testing of the test instrument, and wide-scale testing. The test sample was limited to 200 students from 4 (four) State Middle Schools in Lubuklinggau City. Meanwhile, the test is limited to 300 students from 6 (six) State Middle Schools in Lubuklinggau City. The trial result data was analyzed quantitatively. Item analysis uses a dichotomous scale. Data were analyzed using the R Program or Bilog MG Program and IBM SPSS Statistics 24. The data analysis technique consists of several aspects. These are test item suitability (goodness of fit), reliability, item characteristic curve, level of difficulty, and information function and SEM. The result is a test instrument for odd-semester middle school students' mathematical abilities. It can be concluded that the validity of the contents of the instrument items is based on the Aiken index which was assessed by 4 experts as valid. The construct validity of the instrument using Exploratory Factor Analysis is valid. The reliability coefficient of the odd semester middle school students' mathematical ability test instrument is 0.883, which means that the test instrument is reliable. The conclusion is that the test instrument produced is valid and reliable for measuring junior high school students' mathematical abilities.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis efektivitas Model Discovery Learning (DL) berban-tuan media Scratch dalam meningkatkan hasil belajar matematika, khususnya pada materi bangun ruang. Penelitian menggunakan metode Systematic Literature Review (SLR) dengan mengidentifikasi dan menganalisis 15 artikel jurnal yang diperoleh dari Google Scholar. Artikel yang dipilih berkaitan de-ngan penerapan Discovery Learning dan penggunaan media Scratch dalam pembelajaran matematika. Hasil kajian menunjukkan bahwa model Discovery Learning berbantuan media Scratch mampu meningkatkan hasil belajar matematika peserta didik. Temuan ini menunjukkan bahwa kombinasi model pembelajaran yang interaktif dengan media yang menarik dapat meningkatkan partisipasi aktif dan minat belajar peserta didik. Selain itu, media Scratch terbukti efektif dalam membantu peserta didik memahami konsep bangun ruang secara visual dan interaktif. Simpulan dari kajian ini adalah bahwa penerapan Model Discovery Learning berbantuan media Scratch dapat menjadi solusi inovatif untuk meningkatkan hasil belajar matematika dan menarik minat peserta didik, sehingga relevan untuk diterapkan dalam pembelajaran matematika.   Discovery learning model assisted by Scratch media on space building materials   Abstract: This study aims to analyze the effectiveness of the Discovery Learning (DL) model assisted by Scratch media in improving mathematics learning outcomes, particularly on solid geometry topics. The study employed a Systematic Literature Review (SLR) method by identifying and analyzing 15 journal articles retrieved from Google Scholar. The selected articles are related to the implementation of Discovery Learning and the use of Scratch media in mathematics learning. The findings indicate that the Discovery Learning model assisted by Scratch media can enhance students' mathematics learning outcomes. These findings demonstrate that the combination of an interactive learning model with engaging media can increase students' active participation and learning interest. Additionally, Scratch media proved effective in helping students understand solid geometry concepts visually and interactively. The conclusion of this review is that the implementation of the Discovery Learning model assisted by Scratch media can serve as an innovative solution to improve mathematics learning outcomes and attract students' interest, making it relevant for application in mathematics education.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui apakah terdapat pengaruh model pembelajaran Problem Based Learning terhadap kemampuan literasi matematika peserta didik SMPIT An-Nida’ Lubuk Linggau. Jenis penelitian yang digunakan yaitu Quasi Experimental Design dengan metode penelitian deskriptif kuantitatif. Populasi pada penelitian ini adalah peserta didik kelas VIII SMPIT An-Nida’ Lubuk Linggau dengan jumlah 116 orang dan sampel diambil secara acak yaitu kelas VIII.2 sebagai kelompok eksperimen dan kelas VIII.1 sebagai kelompok kontrol. Teknik pengumpulan data menggunakan teknik tes dan non tes. Teknik analisis data yang digunakan adalah uji normalitas, uji homogenitas, dan uji hipotesis. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa rata-rata nilai Posttest kelas eksperimen lebih besar daripada kelas kotrol. Hal ini dibuktikan dari hasil perhitungan uji-t dengan taraf signifikansi 5% diperoleh nilai , karena maka ditolak dan diterima. Sehingga dapat disimpulkan adanya pengaruh model pembelajaran Problem Based Learning terhadap kemampuan literasi matematika peserta didik SMPIT An-Nida’ Lubuk Linggau.
