Abstract

This study investigates the development and implementation of the Strengthening the Profile of Pancasila Students (P5) module based on a learning community, aimed at enhancing the pedagogical competencies of teachers in public elementary. The research is structured around three primary questions: (1) What are the needs analysis results for the P5 project module based on a learning community? (2) How is the design for implementing the P5 project module structured? and (3) What is the process of developing the P5 project module to improve the pedagogical competencies of teachers? A limited trial was conducted involving 20 teachers from the Ki Hajar Dewantara cluster, employing qualitative and quantitative methodologies. The findings reveal that the module's structure is coherent and user-friendly, effectively integrating local wisdom through narratives about Ki Gede Sebayu and Ki Ageng Anggawana. Teachers generally responded positively to the module's content, recognizing its relevance to Pancasila values, though they suggested the inclusion of more diverse and interactive activities to foster student engagement. Observational data indicated that students exhibited increased participation in project-based learning initiatives, although some teachers noted difficulties in maintaining students' focus during activities. The overall evaluation indicated that the module is effective in supporting teacher competency development, with an average score of 81.71% for the module's structure and 82.8% for the content, categorizing them as "Very Good."

Abstract

Project-based learning model (PBL) as one of the innovative learning models based on students (student center) can be used and selected by teachers as one of the alternative learning methods that will provide a new "color" in learning from the generally conventional ones. The purpose of this study is to produce a project-based learning model that is feasible to improve life skills in social studies lessons in junior high schools and to describe and analyze the effectiveness of the project-based learning model that is effectively adapted to improve life skills in social studies lessons in junior high schools. The type of research used in this study is Research and Development (R&D). This study uses Borg & Gall's research and development procedures which are the basis for developing a project-based learning model to improve life skills in social studies subjects in grade VIII junior high schools. The data collection technique for this study uses Observation, Interviews, Test Questionnaires. Data analysis of the effectiveness of the project-based learning model to improve life skills in social studies lessons in junior high schools uses the Wilcoxon test. The conclusion of this study shows that 1) The current social studies learning in junior high schools is that teachers have not fully developed teaching materials that are oriented towards life skills. 2) The project-based learning model has proven to be effective in improving life skills. The results of the assessment by teachers get a Good category. This result is also supported by an increase in life skills. The calculation of the increase in life skills in three aspects, namely attitude, knowledge and skills, gets a significance value below 0.05 so that it can be interpreted that there is a significant difference in life skills before the pretest and after the posttest. Abstract

Abstract This study aims to describe the implementation of the STEAM-PROKSI (Student Innovation Creativity and Synergy Project) model in IPAS Phase B learning and evaluate its impact on the development of logical, creative, and innovative thinking skills in elementary school students. The research approach used is a mixed method, which combines descriptive qualitative and quasi-experimental approaches. A qualitative approach was used to explore the learning process, student experience, and teacher and student perception of the application of the STEAM-PROKSI model, with a case study method carried out in two elementary schools in Moga District, Pemalang Regency. Qualitative data collection techniques include observation during the learning process, in-depth interviews with teachers and students, and documentation of student projects. Qualitative data analysis was carried out using the Miles and Huberman model, which includes data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion/verification, with the validity of the data guaranteed through source and method triangulation techniques. Meanwhile, the quantitative approach uses a quasi-experimental design with two groups: the experimental group using the STEAM-PROXI model and the control group using the conventional approach. The instrument used was a high-level thinking skill test before and after treatment to measure the improvement of students' logical, creative, and innovative thinking skills. The results of the study show that the application of the STEAM-PROXSI model is able to create a meaningful and contextual learning experience, as well as encourage students to develop high-level thinking skills through project activities that are integrated with real life. Despite challenges in time planning, resource availability, and the implementation of a cross-disciplinary approach, overall the implementation of this model was considered effective. These findings recommend STEAM-PROKSI as an alternative innovative learning model in supporting the implementation of the Independent Curriculum, especially in science subjects at the elementary school level STEAM-PROKSI, IPAS, Thinking Skills, Elementary school

Abstract

The objective of this research is to explore the necessity for designing a classical guidance model utilizing the joyful podcast method to foster self-confidence among junior high school students. This study was conducted using a research and development approach, with emphasis placed on the preliminary stage of needs analysis. The research population included seventh-grade students, guidance counselors, and homeroom teachers at a state junior high school in Brebes, and the sample was selected through purposive sampling. Data collection techniques comprised questionnaires and interviews, while the analysis was carried out using descriptive qualitative and quantitative methods. The findings indicated that students often struggle with low self-confidence in both academic and interpersonal contexts, and the existing classical guidance services tend to be seen as unvaried and less stimulating. Respondents generally welcomed the idea of integrating more enjoyable and media-rich tools into the guidance process. These insights support the appropriateness of the joyful podcast as a medium for enhancing the effectiveness of classical guidance sessions. It was concluded that developing a guidance model incorporating the joyful podcast approach is both relevant and potentially beneficial in improving student self-confidence.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the needs of students and teachers regarding the development of QR Code-based content-differentiated learning methods in Civic Education (PPKn) at MAN Kota Tegal. The primary challenges in teaching PPKn include the tendency for material to be perceived as abstract and the diverse characteristics of students within the classroom. This study represents the preliminary stage of a Research and Development (R&D) project. The research method employed is descriptive qualitative, with data collection techniques involving semi-structured interviews with PPKn teachers, classroom observations, and the distribution of needs assessment questionnaires to 64 eleventh-grade students across two classes. The results reveal three main findings: (1) There is a diversity of student learning styles (visual, auditory, kinesthetic) that have not been optimally facilitated by current teaching methods, which remain dominated by lectures; (2) Students face difficulties in understanding conceptual and procedural PPKn material, yet they demonstrate a high interest in using mobile devices for learning; (3) Teachers require practical tools to implement content differentiation without significantly increasing their administrative burden. Furthermore, the availability of smartphones and internet access within the school environment is highly supportive. It is concluded that the development of QR Code-based content-differentiated learning methods is urgent and highly relevant for implementation at MAN Kota Tegal to bridge the gap in student learning needs.

Abstract

Education for Sustainable Development (ESD) is essential for preparing learners to address environmental, social, and economic challenges. This study examines the integration of ESD content in a Grade IX junior secondary school science textbook under the Merdeka Curriculum. Using qualitative content analysis, narrative texts, illustrations, tables, and learning activities were analyzed based on three sustainability pillars and five ESD components proposed by Tilbury and Wortman. The results show that ESD is present but unevenly integrated, with an average score of 5.2 out of 10. Environmental and social pillars are more dominant than the economic pillar. Critical and future-oriented thinking is emphasized, while participation, decision-making, and systemic approaches remain limited. These findings indicate that ESD integration is still partial and requires strengthening to support sustainability competencies and SDG 4.7.
