Abstract

Kawasan Pantai Cemara di Pulau Wangi-Wangi memiliki potensi sumber daya hayati yang masih relatif tinggi. Potensi tersebut tercermin dari keberadaan ekosistem terumbu karang, ikan karang, dan perikanan tangkap. Selain berperan penting secara ekologis, ekosistem ini juga menawarkan nilai estetika yang signifikan, menjadikannya aset yang ideal untuk wisata bahari. Namun sampai saat ini pemanfaatan sumberdaya alam belum memiliki aturan terkait pembatasan pengunjung, sehingga menyebabkan degradasi ekosistem terumbu karang. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menentukan kelas kesesuaian dan kapasitas daya dukung ekowisata bahari di Pantai Cemara, Pulau Wangi-Wangi, Wakatobi, khususnya untuk aktivitas snorkeling dan diving yang dapat dimanfaatkan. Pengumpulan data berdasarkan zona rataan (reef flat) dan zona tubir (reef slope) dipilih secara purposive sampling, yaitu berdasarkan keberadaan dan representasi ekosistem terumbu karang dengan metode manta tow. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa kategori ekowisata bahari di lokasi tersebut sangat sesuai dan sesuai dengan tutupan karang hidup berkisar antara 46–76%, jenis life form dan kelimpahan ikan karang menunjang serta kecerahan perairan yang tinggi. Kapasitas daya dukung untuk kegiatan snorkeling adalah 240 orang/hari dengan luas area pemanfaatan sebesar 5,93 ha, sementara kegiatan diving memiliki luas area pemanfaatan 1,83 ha dan kapasitas yaitu 60 orang/hari. Dengan demikian, total kapasitas daya dukung untuk kedua jenis kegiatan tersebut adalah 300 orang/hari. Guna menjaga keberlanjutan terumbu karang dan wisata bahari di Pantai Cemara, perlu dilakukan pengelolaan wisata yang berkelanjutan melalui pembatasan kapasitas pengunjung, zonasi, dan regulasi ketat.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze garbage waste data by day in a week at the Cituis Fish Landing Base (PPI Cituis), identify the causes of waste issues, and provide recommendations for waste management and handling. The research was conducted over two weeks of observation. Data were collected through waste characterization, total and average garbage waste volume measurements, the number of waste containers, and waste type composition from several source points. The results show that waste volume tends to increase at the end of the month, on weekends, and during holidays, following higher visitor numbers and fishing activities. Inorganic waste, especially plastic was the most dominant type across all port zones. The 3 kg container representing the harbor area had the highest percentage of waste bins compared with the 4 kg and 10 kg containers. Proper waste management is necessary to minimize pollution impacts at PPI Cituis and the surrounding environment. Recommended actions include improving waste facilities, strengthening governance and regulations, and enhancing community awareness and participation.

Abstract

Kelompok Pembudidaya Kepiting Muge Crab di Muaragembong menghadapi permasalahan rendahnya produksi akibat tingkat kematian tinggi dan teknik budidaya yang masih konvensional. Program pengabdian ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan kapasitas anggota melalui pelatihan penerapan teknologi wanamina dan manajemen usaha. Metode pelaksanaan meliputi pelatihan dan praktik langsung pada empat materi: pembuatan wanamina kepiting, pembuatan pakan, pembuatan kolam terpal, dan penyusunan jadwal produksi. Hasil evaluasi menunjukkan peningkatan kompetensi anggota yang sangat signifikan pada semua materi, dengan rata-rata kenaikan tertinggi pada pembuatan jadwal produksi (89%) dan terendah pada pembuatan kolam terpal (50%). Dampak ekonomi yang dicapai sangat transformatif, dengan produksi kepiting meningkat 400% (dari 5 kg/bulan menjadi 25 kg/bulan) dan pendapatan anggota melonjak 402% (dari Rp.650.000/bulan menjadi Rp.3.262.500/bulan). Disimpulkan bahwa program pelatihan yang komprehensif berhasil meningkatkan kapasitas teknis dan manajerial anggota, yang secara langsung berdampak pada peningkatan produktivitas dan kesejahteraan ekonomi, sekaligus mendukung kelestarian ekosistem mangrove melalui pendekatan wanamina.

Abstract

Pencemaran sungai perlu diupayakan solusinya mengingat dampaknya terhadap kehidupan biota perairan dan sosial ekonomi masyarakat. Salah satu sumber pencemaran sungai berasal dari sampah organik rumah tangga yang banyak dibuang ke lingkungan perairan. Sampah tersebut dapat meningkatkan kandungan bahan organik di perairan. Tujuan kegiatan ini adalah menyajikan dan menganalisis pelaksanaan edukasi pengelolaan sampah organik rumah tangga menjadi pupuk cair dan kompos agar sampah tidak dibuang lagi ke sungai. Kegiatan dilaksanakan di Kampung Arban Bawah, Desa Gunung Bunder 2, Kecamatan Pamijahan, Kabupaten Bogor pada bulan Mei sampai Juni 2022. Metode pelaksanaan kegiatan dilakukan melalui observasi lapangan, memberikan materi pelatihan, praktik langsung, dan melakukan pemantauan. Analisis data dilakukan secara deskriptif. Edukasi dan aksi dilakukan melalui kegiatan pelatihan, pembuatan pupuk cair dan kompos dari sampah, pembuatan lubang biopori serta pemberian bantuan bak sampah dan pelubang biopori. Hasil pre-test menunjukkan bahwa masyarakat tidak mengetahui tentang mikroorganisme dalam sampah organik dan masyarakat belum mengetahui tentang pengelolaan sampah yang baik. Setelah dilakukan kegiatan pelatihan, diperoleh hasil bahwa masyarakat mengetahui tentang mikroorganisme dalam sampah organik, lubang biopori, dapat mengelola sampah, dan mau melakukan pengelolaan sampah menjadi pupuk cair dan kompos.

Abstract

Seaweed cultivation is a major economic activity in Indonesia's coastal areas, but its sustainability challanged by complex socio-ecological interactions that are not fully captured by conventional sustainability assessment approaches. The Rapid Appraisal for Fisheries (Rapfish) method has been widely applied, but most studies still employ generic multidimensional attributes that do not explicitly reflect the principles of the Ecosystem Approach to Aquaculture (EAA). This study integrates EAA principles into the selection and grouping of Rapfish attributes to provide a holistic assessment of seaweed farming systems. This study aims to assess the multidimensional sustainability of Eucheuma cottonii cultivation in Sampolawa Bay, South Buton Regency. The analysis was conducted using the Multi-Dimensional Scaling (MDS) approach in the Rapfish tool across five sustainability dimensions: ecology, economy, society, technology, and institutions. The results showed that EAA integration enhances the comprehensive assessment framework, especially in the social and institutional dimensions. Overall, seaweed cultivation in Sampolawa Bay was categorized as moderately sustainable with an index value of 60.64. The social and ecological dimensions were the main pillars of sustainability, whereas the economic dimension was a limiting factor requiring attention. particularly regarding market accessibility and price stability to ensure the sustainability of seaweed cultivation in the future.

Abstract

Kota Lama is one of the landmarks in Semarang Central Java that is located on young alluvial sediment. This area is prone to vibrations stemming from tectonic activities around Semarang. Therefore, measurements were carried out to identify this vibration vulnerability using the microtremor method. These were aimed at obtaining a spatial distribution of vibration vulnerability. There were 29 measurement points each separated by a sampling interval of 50 ms and a duration of 10 minutes.  Ground vibration amplification in this area was found to range from 0.74 to 4.9 with the highest being on the outskirts of Kota Lama. The predominant frequency was found to range from 0.02 to 1.1 Hz. These patterns of high predominant frequency and ground vibration amplification suggest that the central area of Kota Lama needs more attention. High ground shear strain that ranges from 0.02 to 0.86 means that possible event to occur in Kota Lama include landslide, soil compaction, and liquefaction, as is also evident with existing dynamic properties of repeated collapse effect and loading speed effect. Meanwhile, structure of vibration amplification against predominant frequency underneath Kota Lama revealed lateral subsurface discontinuity on its southwest side. It was also found that the contour of ground vibration amplification resembles the shape of Vifjhoek fort.

Abstract

The aim of this study was to obtain a profile for each depth of the subsurface structure of the Semarang coast based on microtremor data. The acquisition of 109 data points in this study was taken using a single-station microtremor tool in the coastal area of Semarang. This study uses the HVSR method to produce the HV curve, amplification factor (A0) and dominant frequency (f0) which can later be used to find the values of vp, vs and vp/vs at each depth. The results obtained in this study include A0 of 0.13 - 5.96, f0 of 0.13 - 7.47 Hz, vs of 154.42 - 1444.404 m/s, vp of 266.40 - 4758.37 m/s and vp/vs of 1,421 – 28,674. Based on the vs analysis, bedrock begins to appear at a depth of 100 m in the eastern and southern parts of West Semarang District and the southern part of North Semarang District. Classification of hard soil, very dense and soft rock from a depth of 100 m shows that it has covered most of the area of Semarang City. However, there are still several areas that still have a medium soil classification, namely most of the areas of Gayamsari District, Genuk District and Pedurungan District, as well as a small part of the area of North Semarang District, West Semarang District and Central Semarang District. Analysis of vp/vs at a depth of 150 m showed a vp/vs classification with a range of 1.4 - 2 in the study area. However, there are still several areas that still have vp/vs values with a value range of 3 – 3.2, namely in the northern part of West Semarang District, eastern Central Semarang District, eastern South Semarang District, northern East Semarang District, northern Gayamsari District, and the central part of Genuk District.
