Abstract

Abstrak.Tujuan Penelitian ini adalah untuk mendeskripsikan tingkat berpikir visual dalam memahami definisi formal barisan bilangan real berdasarkan gaya kognitif tipe Field Independent mau pun gaya kognitif tipe Field Dependent mahasiswa Jurusan Matematika UNM. Berpikir visual adalah salah satu kemampuan yang menjadi jembatan untuk mengubah informasi dari abstrak-verbal ke bentuk yang lebih jelas.Wileman (Stoke, 2001) mendefinisikan berpikir visual sebagai kemampuan untuk mengubah informasi dari semua jenis ke dalam gambar, grafik, atau bentuk-bentuk lain yang dapat membantu mengkomunikasikan informasi.Metode penelitian yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah desain metode penelitian deskriptif.Tingkat berpikir visual diukur dengan menggunakan instumen tes dengan indikator khusus mengukur tingkat berpikir visual. Subjek penelitian ini terdiri dari dua orang yang mewakili tipe gaya kognitif, yaitu gaya kognitif tipe Field Dependent (FD) dengan gaya kognitif tipe Field Independent (FI). Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan letak kekurangan dan kelebihan mahasiswa dalam berpikir visual pada setiap tipe gaya kognitif. Selain itu diperoleh bahwa terdapat hubungan antara tingkat berpikir visual dengan gaya berpikir mahasiswa Jurusan Matematika UNM.Kata Kunci: Berpikir Visual, Gaya Kognitif.   Abstract.The purpose of this study is to describe the level of visual thinking in understanding the formal definition of real numbers sequence based on cognitive style of Field Independent type and also cognitive style of Field Dependent type of students in Mathematis Department of UNM. Visual thinking is one of the abilities that becomes the bridge for transforming information from abstract-verbs to clearer forms. Wileman (Stoke, 2001) defines visual thinking as the ability to convert information of all kinds into images, graphics, or other forms that can help communicate information. The research method used in this research is descriptive research method design. The level of visual thinking is measured by using a test instrument with a special indicator measuring the level of visual thinking. The subject of this study consisted of two persons representing the type of cognitive style, the Field Dependent type cognitive style (FD) with the Field Independent cognitive style (FI). The results of this study show the location of the shortcomings and advantages of students in visual thinking on each type of cognitive style. In addition, it is found that there is a relationship between the level of visual thinking with the thinking style of the students in Mathematics Department of UNM.Keywords: Visual Thinking, Cognitive Style

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui deskripsi pengaruh model pembelajaran think-pair-share terhadap self-efficacy matematis siswa. Pengambilan subjek penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas X IPS di salah satu SMA di Makassar. Pengambilan subjek dilakukan dengan memberikan tes  angket kepada siswa kelas X IPS 3 yang kemudian dari hasil tersebut dipilih 6 subjek penelitian berdasarkan kategori yang ada. Instrumen yang digunakan adalah  angket self-efficacy yang memuat 21 butir soal yang bersesuaian dengan dimensi-dimensi self-efficacy dan RPP yang bersesuaian dengan sintaks model pembelajaran think-pair-share. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan ­self-efficacy subjek kategori tinggi berpengaruh baik. Hal tersebut dikarenakan kedua subjek telah memiliki nilai dimensi strength, level, dan magnitude yang cukup tinggi. Untuk self-efficacy subjek kategori sedang, setelah pemberian soal yang tidak terlalu sulit pada pertemuan awal dan proses diskusi yang berbeda, mampu mempengarhi dimensi level mereka. Sedangkan untuk self-efficacy rendah, karena motivasi yang diberikan guru dan keberhasilan temannya, dimensi strenght dan level mengalami perubahan yang cukup signifikan . Namun,karena kedua subjek cenderung memiliki sifat ketidakmampuan untuk menyampaikan pendapat walaupun telah menyelesaikan tugas, sehingga dimensi generalitnya tidak mengalami perubahan yang signifikan. Hasil dari penelitian ini memberikan informasi tentang pengaruh self-efficacy siswa selama proses pembelajaran sehingga dalam proses pembelajaran, guru dapat membantu siswa memahami pelajaran sesuai dengan self-efficacy mereka.Kata Kunci: Think-Pair-Share, Self-efficacy, Level, Strength,dan Magnitude. This study aims to determine the description of the influence of think-pair-share learning models on students' mathematical self-efficacy. The subjects of this study were IPS class X students in one of the high schools in Makassar. Taking the subject was done by giving a questionnaire test to students of class X IPS 3, then from these results 6 research subjects are chosen based on existing categories. The instrument used was a self-efficacy questionnaire containing 21 items that corresponded to the dimensions of self-efficacy and lesson plans that were in accordance with the syntax of the think-pair-share learning model. The results of the study showed that self-efficacy of the high category subjects had a good effect. That is because both subjects already have high strength, level, and magnitude dimensions. For self-efficacy, the medium category subject, after giving questions that were not too difficult at the initial meeting and different discussion processes, was able to influence their level dimensions. As for self-efficacy, it is low, because of the motivation given by the teacher and the success of them friends, the strength dimension and level experienced significant changes. However, because both subjects have  inability to express opinions even though they have completed the task, so the generality dimension does not experience significant changes. The results of this study to give information about the effect of students' self-efficacy during the learning process so that in the learning process, teachers can help students understand the lessons according to their self-efficacy.Keywords: Think-Pair-Share, Self-efficacy,Level, Strength, and Magnitude.

Abstract

Abstrak. Penelitian ini adalah penelitian tindakan kelas yang bertujuan untuk meningkatkan aktivitas dan hasil belajar peserta didik. Subjek  penelitian ini adalah peserta didik kelas VIIIyang terdiri dari 30 peserta didik. Teknik pengumpulan data menggunakan instrumen: (1) tes kemampuan awal, (2) lembar observasi aktivitas guru, (3) lembar observasi aktivitas peserta didik, dan (4) tes hasil belajar. Data dianalisis dengan analisis statistik deskriptif dan analisis deskriptif. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa: (1) Aktivitas guru mengalami peningkatan, (2) aktivitas peserta didik mengalami peningkatan, dan (3) rata-rata hasil belajar matematika peserta didik berada di atas nilai KKM dengan tingkat ketuntasan klasil sebesar 86,67%. Dari hasil penelitian dapat disimpulkan bahwa penerapan model pembelajaran berbasis masalah dengan strategi pembelajaran diferensiasi dapat meningkatkan hasil belajar peserta didik.Kata Kunci:Berbasis masalah, Diferensiasi, Aktivitas, Hasil belajar Abstract.This research is classroom-action research, which aims to increase both pupils' activity and achievement in mathematics. The subjects of this research is the students of class VIII which consisted of 30 students. Technique of collecting data using instrument: (1) pre-test, (2) observation sheet of teacher activity, (3) observation sheet of students activity, and (4) the learning outcome test. The data were analyzed using descriptive statistical analysis and descriptive analysis. The results show that (1) teacher activity increased, (2) students activity increased, (3) the average of students mathematics learning achievementare above the value of minimal criteria with a classical completeness level of 86,67%. From the research result can be concluded that the implementation of problem-based learning modeleith differentiation learning strategies can improve student learning achievement of class VIII.Keywords:Problem-based, Differentiation, Activity, Learning achievement.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui gambaran umum kecerdasan adversitas dan efikasi diri siswa kelas XI IPA SMA dan mengetahui bagaimana deskripsi kemampuan berpikir tingkat tinggi siswa dalam menyelesaikan soal program linear ditinjau dari kecerdasan adversitas dan efikasi diri. Jenis penelitian ini adalah penelitian deskriptif dengan pendekatan mixed method. Subjek penelitian sebanyak 4 siswa, yaitu 1 siswa dengan kecerdasan adversitas tipe climbers-efikasi diri tinggi, 1 siswa dengan kecerdasan adversitas tipe climbers-efikasi diri rendah, 1 siswa dengan kecerdasan adversitas tipe campers-efikasi diri tinggi, dan 1 siswa dengan kecerdasan adversitas tipe campers-efikasi diri rendah. Instrumen penelitian yang digunakan terdiri atas angket ARP (Adversity Response Profile), angket efikasi diri, soal tes kemampuan berpikir tingkat tinggi materi program linear, dan pedoman wawancara. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa: (1) Sebagian besar siswa (70%) memiliki tingkat efikasi diri yang tinggi. (2) Sebagian besar siswa (86,5%) memiliki kecerdasan adversitas tipe campers. (3) Siswa dengan kecerdasan adversitas tipe climbers-efikasi diri tinggi mampu memenuhi ketiga indikator kemampuan berpikir tingkat tinggi. (4) Siswa dengan kecerdasan adversitas tipe climbers-efikasi diri rendah hanya mampu memenuhi dua indikator kemampuan berpikir tingkat tinggi, yaitu menganalisis dan mengevaluasi. (5) Siswa dengan kecerdasan adversitas tipe campers-efikasi diri tinggi hanya mampu memenuhi dua indikator kemampuan berpikir tingkat tinggi, yaitu menganalisis dan mengevaluasi. (6) Siswa dengan kecerdasan adversitas tipe campers-efikasi diri rendah tidak mampu memenuhi semua indikator kemampuan berpikir tingkat tinggi. Kata Kunci: Kemampuan Berpikir, Berpikir Tingkat Tinggi, Program Linear, Kecerdasan Adversitas, Efikasi Diri The aim of this research is to determine the general description of students' adversity quotient and self-efficacy from grade XI IPA and finding out how the description of students higher order thinking skills in solving linear program problems viewed from students’ adversity quotient and self-efficacy. The type of this research is descriptive research with mixed method approach. The subjects of this research were 4 students, those are 1 students has high self-efficacy-climbers, 1 students has low self-efficacy-climbers, 1 students has high self-efficacy-campers, and 1 students has low self-efficacy-campers. The research instrument used consist of ARP questionnaire (Adversity Response Profile), self-efficacy questionnaire, higher order thinking skills test of linear program and interview guidelines. The results of the research showed that: (1) The most of students (70%) had high self-efficacy. (2) The most of students (86,5%) had campers adversity quotient. (3) Students who had high self-efficacy-climbers was able to fulfill three indicators of higher order thinking skills. (4) Students who had low self-efficacy-climbers was able to fulfill two indicators of higher order thinking skills, i.e analyzing and evaluating. (5) Students who had high self-efficacy-campers was able to fulfill two indicators of higher order thinking skills, i.e analyzing and evaluating. (6) Students who had low self-efficacy-campers was not able to fulfill all indicators of higher order thinking skills. Abstract

Jenis penelitian ini adalah kuasi eksperimen yang melibatkan dua kelompok yang diberi perlakuan yang berbeda. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui perbandingan peningkatan hasil belajar matematika siswa antara penerapan pendekatan Realistic Mathematics Education dan penerapan pendekatan Contextual Teaching and Learning  pada siswa kelas VII. Populasi dalam penelitian ini adalah seluruh siswa kelas VII di salah satu SMP di Kabupaten Polewali Mandar, Sulawesi selatan dan dipilih dua kelas eksperimen secara random sebagai sampel penelitian. Data dianalisis dengan statistika inferensial. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa  tidak terdapat perbedaan hasil belajar yang signifikan antara siswa yang diajar menggunakan pendekatan RME dan  siswa yang diajar menggunakan pendekatan CTL.Kata Kunci: Hasil Belajar, RME, CTL.Abstract. The research type was an Quasi-experimental which involved two groups with different treatment. Objectives of this research were to know the differences in the improvement of students mathematics learning outcomes between the application of Realistic Mathematics Education approach and the application of Contextual Teaching and Learning approach. The population in this research was grade VII one of the Junior High School in Polewali Mandar, West Sulawesi and two experiment classes are selected by random technique as research sample. Data analysis by using descriptive and inferential statistics.  The result was obtained  there are not the different in the improvement of students mathematics learning outcomes between the application of RME approach and the application of CTL approach.Keyword: Learning Outcomes, RME, CTL.

Abstract

Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) are one of the main pillars of the national economy with an independent perspective having great potential to improve welfare. This study aims to determine the form of empowerment that is carried out to MSMEs as an effort to improve the welfare of business owner in Makassar City, as well as to determine the response of business owners related to the empowerment program that has been carried out by the local government, especially through the Cooperatives and MSMEs Service in Makassar. The population in this study are all business owners in Makassar, both those who have participated in empowerment programs from the government and those who have never participated in these programs. The sample in this study was 60 business people selected by purposive sampling by considering several criteria both from the type of business and the background of the business owner so that respondents in this study could be heterogeneous. In addition, interviews were conducted with academics. Research instruments in the form of questionnaires and interview guidelines. Data were analyzed descriptively qualitatively. The results showed that: 1) Empowerment programs desired by business owners tended to lead to improvements in the quality of business products and empowerment programs focused on product marketing training. 2) Recommendations related to the results of research, namely: a) Every empowerment program to be carried out by the government should be prepared based on an analysis of the needs of the beneficiaries in this case business owners. b) Empowerment programs carried out by the government should be directed at improving the quality of business products and training in marketing products or providing containers to business people to market their business products. c) The program held should be able to socialize well and evenly to all business owners. This can be achieved when every information from the government is easily accessed by all business owners.

Abstract

PKM program was performed by providing trainingand mentoring activities to participants about the RealisticMathematics Education for elementary school teachers withthe aims of (1) to increase knowledge about the RealisticMathematics Eduaction, (2) participants can implement theRealistic Mathematics Education in the learning process, and(3) participants can disseminate or disseminate knowledge ofthe Realistic Mathematics Education. The main targetaudience of this PKM program were school supervisors,school principals and school teachers in the TinggimoncongDistrict, Gowa Regency, South-Sulawesi Province. The resultsobtained in the PKM program activities were increasedknowledge and concepts of Realistic Mathematics Educationof PKM program participants, increased development skills inthe Realistic Mathematics Education of PKM programparticipants, PKM program participants can make examplesand compile the Realistic Mathematics Education activities inthe class, and PKM program participants can implement theRealistic Mathematics Education in the learning process atschool. Other results obtained were increased of participants’motivation in knowing the material of realistic mathematicslearning and the high enthusiasm of participants indisseminating the results of PKM program, especially thematerial on Realistic Mathematics Education.

Abstract

The PKM program is carried out by the method of providing training and guidance to participants regarding classroom action research (PTK) to improve the quality of the learning process with the aim of (1) to improve the quality of the learning process, (2) participants can implement well compile classroom action research (PTK) , and (3) participants can disseminate or disseminate classroom action research (PTK) knowledge. The main target audience for the PKM Program activities are school supervisors, school principals and school teachers in Tinggimoncong sub-district, Gowa district, South Sulawesi province. The results obtained in PKM program activities are increased knowledge and concept of classroom action research (PTK) participants of PKM programs, increased classroom action research skills (PTK) PKM program participants, PKM program participants can make examples and arrange classroom action research (PTK) in class learning, and PKM program participants can implement classroom action research (PTK) in learning in schools. Other results obtained were increased motivation of participants in knowing class action research material (PTK) and high enthusiasm of participants in disseminating or disseminating PKM program results, especially classroom action research material (PTK). Outputs of PKM activities are (1) increasing participant's knowledge regarding activity materials, (2) scientific articles published at national seminars, and (3) publications on PKM implementation on online media.

Abstract

PKM program was carried out by providing trainingand mentoring activities to participants regarding ScientificWriting (KTI). The program was done to improve teacherprofessionalism with the aims of (1) to increase knowledgeabout scientific writing, (2) participants can implementscientific papers well in its duties, and (3) participants candisseminate knowledge of scientific papers. The main targetparticipants in this PKM Program activities were schoolsupervisors, school principal, and teachers in theTinggimoncong District, Gowa Regency, South-SulawesiProvince. The results obtained in this PKM program included:1) Knowledge, concepts, and development of scientific papersof PKM program participants increased, 2) PKM programparticipants know the types of scientific writing, 3) PKMprogram participants know the techniques and ways of writingscientific papers, and 4) PKM program participants cancompile and write scientific papers. Other results obtainedwere the increase in participants' motivation in understandingthe material of scientific writing and high enthusiasm ofparticipants in disseminating the results of PKM program,especially the information related to the scientific writing.

Abstract

The PKM program is carried out by the method of providing training and guidance to participants regarding the preparation of HOTS level questions to increase activities in carrying out learning with the aim of (1) to improve the quality of evaluation tools, (2) participants can implement properly compiling HOTS level questions in the learning process, and (3) participants can disseminate or disseminate knowledge about HOTS level questions. The main target audience for the PKM Program activities are school supervisors, school principals and school teachers in Tinggimoncong sub-district, Gowa district, South Sulawesi province. The results obtained in PKM program activities are increased knowledge and concept of HOTS level questions for PKM program participants, increased skill in preparing HOTS level questions for PKM program participants, PKM program participants can make examples and arrange HOTS level questions in learning class , and PKM program participants can implement the preparation of HOTS level questions in learning at school. Other results obtained were increased motivation of participants in knowing the materials for formulating HOTS level questions and the high enthusiasm of participants in disseminating or disseminating PKM program results, especially in the formulation of HOTS level questions. Outputs of PKM activities are (1) increasing participant's knowledge regarding activity materials, (2) scientific articles published at national seminars, and (3) publications on PKM implementation on online media.
