Abstract

PAL Indonesia is a national maritime industry. This important role of PT. PAL Indonesia will bring Indonesia's maritime industry to fulfill the maritime market globally. There is Divisi Teknologi Informasi that supports the fulfillment of information technology (IT) requirements at PT. PAL Indonesia. To apply the principles of Good Corporate Governance (GCG) in the management of Information Technology (IT), it is necessary to develop IT governance that is an integral part of Enterprise Governance in order to guarantee the utilization of IT implementation. The Information Technology Division has several lacks in information technology governance such as incompatibility of tasks and responsibilities for each staff member or employee in the IT Division, lack of documentation of several IT governance processes, lack of integration of existing IT governance processes in the company, the handling of infrastructure is not optimal, and there is no regular evaluation of IT governance in the IT Division. Therefore, the purpose of this research is to find out the level of maturity of information technology governance in PT. PAL Indonesia using the COBIT 4.1 framework that focuses on the Plan And Organize (PO) domain. From the results of the research it can be seen the average value of the maturity level of each process in the PO domain. The maturity level of the PO domain is level 3, namely Defined Process. In order to increase the level of maturity, a recommendation can be applied to the Divisi TI of PT. PAL Indonesia so that it is able to reach the expected target.

Abstract

Lingua Institute is a course institution that provides foreign language education and training. Student Management is the main service carried out by cross-functional divisions at Lingua Institute. This service focuses on student data as an object and includes matters relating to collecting, processing, storing, and distributing student data information. But Lingua Institute still has problems when running its business processes, such as the absence of rules and standard business process flow, therefore business processes run less effectively and efficiently; data recording and data storing are still manual so it is vulnerable to data loss; and delays in making learning modules. Therefore, analysis, evaluation and improvement of business processes are needed to solve these problems and to maximize the running of business processes. In this study, business processes are modeled using Business Process Modeling and Notation (BPMN), then analyzed and evaluated using the Failure Mode and Effect Analysis (FMEA) and Five Whys Analysis and finally improved by Business Process Improvement (BPI) method. Afterward, the current business process model and recommended business process model are simulated to validate and to indicate the time efficiency of the recommended business process. In a simulation of one business process, it is found that each activity is valid and there is a time reduction of 1 hour 2 minutes 16 seconds or an increase in time efficiency of 13.93%. This happens because of improvements such as changing some activities and utilizing Information System.

Abstract

XYZ Indonesia (Persero) is one of the strategic industrial companies that produces the main tools of the Indonesian defense system and has a focus on the application of information technology managed by the Divisi Teknologi Informasi. In its application, the possibility of a risk cannot be avoided so that IT risk management and evaluation are needed to maximize its performance. Information technology risk management evaluation is carried out by using the Process Assessment Model (PAM) in the COBIT 5 framework with the APO12 Manage Risk process. The use of the COBIT 5 framework will help in measuring the extent to which processes and activities have been carried out properly, and knowing the capability level of the process. This research was conducted using qualitative methods, where data collection was carried out by questionnaire, observation, and validation interviews. The purpose of this study is to obtain evaluation results based on the capability level and formulate recommendations based on the results of the evaluation. The capability level in the APO12 process based on the evaluation results is at level 2, namely the Managed Process. Based on the results of the analysis, 43 recommendations were prepared. Recommendations are prepared based on components at level 1 and level 2 that have not been fulfilled. In addition, recommendations are also made based on components at level 3 to meet target levels. The recommendations given to companies are used to increase the level of IT risk management capabilities that exist in the Divisi Teknologi Informasi of PT. XYZ Indonesia.

Abstract

Tarik Health Center is one of the health centers located in the Sidoarjo Regency. In conducting medical record services using website-based application information technology, namely Paperless Health Center Information System (SIMPLE). In using the SIMPLE application, users who are internal employees of the Puskesmas From these considerations, the research conducted on analyzing user experience in using SIMPLE applications. The process of analyzing the SIMPLE application user experience is done using the usability testing method and user experience questionnaire (UEQ). The stages carried out in this study are literature study, data collection, data processing, discussion, discussion and gathering conclusions and suggestions. Tests of usability testing are carried out on 3 SIMPLE application users who produce values, namely for the aspect of effectiveness, the results are 100%, which means users can complete the task given, the efficiency aspects get 100%, which means the time needed is good and aspects of satisfaction use the usability scale (SUS) system questionnaire obtained a result of 68.12 which means that the satisfaction level of SIMPLE application users depends on the marginal high. Furthermore, for testing user experience, UEQ questionnaires were distributed to 25 respondents and produced scores on perspicuity aspects, dependability aspects, attractiveness aspects, efficiency aspects, stimulation aspects and novelty aspects having an average value of 1.137 which means SIMPLE application users tend to positive.

Abstract

Faculty of Computer Science on the University of Brawijaya evaluates lecturer performance every semester and the evaluation program was carried out by the Quality Assurance Unit (UJM) Team. UJM Team does the evaluation by distributing questionnare within the Student Academic Information System (SIAM). There were two section on the questionnaire, multiple choice section and the comment section. After collecting data, UJM Team processed the data from the comment section manually. The comment section contained student's perspective of the lecturer performance, which has never been processed to date to be used as an evaluation material. Therefore, this study is performed to assist UJM Team to process the data from the comment section using Sentiment Analysis on sentence level with K-Nearest Neighbor classification method. Out of 2210 opinion data from students of the Information Technology Study Program analyzed from three semester period in the Even Semester 2016/2017, Odd Semester 2017/2018, and Even Semester 2017/2018, the classification result in an average accuracy of 81%. The result of this study is a list of opinions and bar chart showing the frequency of opinions that have been classified and will be displayed as a dashboard. This data opinions can also be filterred by lecturer's subjects and his/her name.

Abstract

Based on the Sidoarjo Regent Regulation Number 22 of 2015 concerning the Community Complaint Service Center. To improve information services by the Sidoarjo Regency government, the Sidoarjo Regency Community Complaints Service Center (P3M) was formed. P3M is part of the operational activities of the Department of Communication and Information of Sidoarjo Regency. In running the business process, there are still some potential errors that can affect the performance of the business processes that lead to non-optimal. Time goes by several processes that exceed the Standard Operating Procedure (SOP) has been agreed, the results of the responses that were not clear were answered by whom, and the reporter is late knowing the results of the complaint response. Therefore it is necessary to analyze and evaluate current business processes to overcome problems. This study uses Failure Mode and Effect Analysis (FMEA) to perform problem analysis and evaluation of business processes and using Business Process Improvement (BPI) for the improvement of business processes. Current business processes (as-is) and recommendations (to-be) are modeled using Business Process Modeling and Notation (BPMN) and then performed a simulation. On the results of the time analysis simulation of the business process of as-is acceptance of public complaints and recommendations for the business process of receiving public complaints (to-be), the average time increase is up to 30.62%. So it can be concluded that business process recommendations are able to optimize business process performance

Abstract

Software cost estimation is an important aspect of an software project for budgeting. In the process of determining the price of a system in CV. The Profile Image Studio does not have specific estimation. because of that make often the company receive losses both financially and time. Based on this case, the cost estimation in this study will implement COCOMO II (Constructive Cost Mode IIl) method is implemented in calculating software costs suggestion for CV. Profile Image Studio. Cost estimates can be obtained after obtaining estimated effort, number of human resources and estimated system development time. COCOMO II (Constructive Cost Model) method is implemented in 2 systems that have been developed by CV. Studio Profile Image. At the end of this study, the cost comparison of system development was done by comparing estimated cost results obtained using the COCOMO II (Constructive Cost Model) with the allocation of costs by CV. Studio Profile Image. The results of applying the COCOMO II (Constructive Cost Model II) method in calculating software costs, it was found that the total estimated cost of the DBA ticket system was Rp.61.344.000 carried out by 3 people in 9 month while pintu air system was Rp.36.352.000 carried out by 2 people in 8 month. Difference in estimated cost for all software is 37,24% with time difference is 52,94 and people difference is 40%. So the COCOMO II method will be more precise in estimating cost of a project that can be minimize the losses received by the company.

Abstract

Malang Area LKAI (Investment Budget Worksheet) application is a web based application that can be used by employees in PT. PLN (Persero) Malang Area planning sector to recapitulate data from field surveys related network reinforcement and suppression of distribution programs. Based on the results of interviews conducted LKAI application, problems were found that there were no instructions on how to fill data on the location description modal box, there was no detailed info on the user being logged in, and the size of the job blank is small. The evaluation was conducted to find usability problems using the Cognitive Walkthrough and Heuristic Evaluation methods. In this evaluation involving 3 evaluator subject matter and 3 evaluator usability expert. The evaluation using Cognitive Walkthrough method found 205 usability problems which were then normalized to 22 problems, while 64% of all problems were also found in Heuristic Evaluations. While Heuristic Evaluation method found 20 usability problems, while usability heuristic with the highest number of problems was H-5 (Error prevention) with 5 findings or 25% of the all problems finding. The evaluation results, 30 prototype interface improvements based on the 10 guideline of usability heuristic principles. Then validation on the prototype using the system usability scale obtained a score of 80.83 with the acceptability level depending on the acceptable category, grade scale was in grade B, adjective ranking depends on the excellent category and percentile rank in grade A.

Abstract

Higher education is the organizer of academic education for students where the quality of a college can be seen from the high level of success of students and the low failure rate of students. One indicator of student failure is a drop out case where it is also experienced by the study program Information System of the Faculty of Computer Science, University of Brawijaya. Based on the results of the interview obtained information that every year there are students of Information Systems who resign. The case certainly needs to be considered so as not to reduce the quality of education and university accreditation. So based on these problems a system is needed that is able to be a decision support to detect students who have the potential to drop out so that further action can be given. C4.5 algorithm is one of the algorithms in data mining that can be used to predict students who have the potential to drop out by generating rule in form of decision tree. The attributes used consist of academic data and student demographics of the study program Information Systems. The results from the calculation of confussion matrix are an accuracy rate of 98.85%. Meanwhile, based on the ROC curve, the AUC value is 0.8462. The output of this study is to make predictive applications for students who have the potential to drop out for the study program Information System by applying the C4.5 algorithm for the mining process on a system developed in the form of a website-based dashboard. Usability testing using the System Usability Scale (SUS) is 67.5 which is included in the adjective rating Good category and the acceptability level of users is included in the Marginal-High category.

Abstract

Simpel Arema application (Sistem Monitoring Pelanggan Area Malang) is a web-based application developed by PT. PLN (Persero) Malang Area. Application is used to monitor customer data of PT. PLN (Persero) in Malang Regency. Based on the results of interview on the System Planning Supervisor, the application interface problems were found. This application has also never been evaluated before because it is still under development. Based on these problems, it is necessary to evaluate the Simplified Arema application specifically on the usability aspect. This evaluation was carried out using the Cognitive Walkhthrough method and Heuristic Evaluation, where evaluation was carried out by 3 subject matter experts, namely Malang Area PLN employees and 3 usability experts. The Cognitive Walkthrough evaluation results in the stage where usability problems are found in Simple Arema. While Heuristic Evaluation produces problems based on 10 heuristic principles and their severity. After evaluation, there were a total of 99 problems found in the Cognitive Walkthrough where 80% of the problems were found in Heuristic Evaluation too. While Heuristic Evaluation found 17 heuristic problems with the most problems being H-8 (Aestetic and minimalist design) with 23% of all Heuristic Evaluation problems. Based on the results of the evaluation, 19 recommendations for improvement were given, namely 17 improved interfaces and 2 system improvements. Based on recommendations for interface improvements, a prototype for Simple Arema interface was made. Then validation of the Simplified Arema interface repair prototype using the System Usability Scale (SUS) questionnaire to find out whether the improved Arema Simple interface is correct. Based on the results of the validation, the SUS score was obtained with a value of 83.3 and got the Acceptability Ranges level in the Acceptable category, Grade Scale in category B, Adjective in the Excellent category, and Percentile Rank at 80 - 90%.
