Abstract

This research is the qualitative research which aim to know the classroom ambience when using hangman game and to find out the teachers perceive in using hangman game as a medium in teaching vocabulary. This research was conducted on May 2024 in the class of VIII Bilingual B at Al-Azhar Medan Junior High School. Observation and interview were the technique of data collection that used in this research which were carried out directly with 2 teachers who had a long experience in teaching English and used the hangman game as a medium in the vocabulary teaching and learning process. The model of interactive data analysis by Miles and Huberman (1984) is used as the technique of analyzing the data in this research. The findings from the data that have been analyzed show that when using the hangman game, the classroom ambience look supportive, nice, and joyful in supporting the teaching and learning process run well. Both of the teachers have positive and negative perception about using hangman game. Both of the teachers also stated that hangman game is one of appropriate medium to use for the students who want to recall or add their vocabulary. This research provides several useful information, especially for English teacher who need references about tool or media for teaching vocabulary.

Abstract

This study aims to determine how the application of cartoon film media in Class V students of Indonesian language subjects at Patria Al Ittihadiyah Private Elementary School Percut Sei Tuan Deli Serdang and the obstacles that occur in the implementation of Indonesian language learning by using cartoon film media in class V students of Patria Al-Ittihadiyah Private Elementary School Percut. This research is a type of qualitative research and uses a descriptive qualitative approach method. Data obtained through several sources, namely observation, interviews, and documentation data supporting visual learning media, the availability of textbooks and the activeness of Al-Ittihadiyah Private Elementary School teachers in participating in trainings related to learning media. The application of cartoon film media in Indonesian language subjects in class V has been running quite well by using a projector as an auxiliary tool. However, there are several obstacles that hinder the learning process using this media, including: first, the lack of technicians who can operate projectors and make powerpoints to become learning media, second, there are still many teachers in this elementary school who do not understand the technology that has developed rapidly in this digital era. Thus, the Principal has an initiative to add an operator who can provide direction to teachers in this elementary school so that they can use learning media for students. Because with this learning media, it is more inviting for students during lesson hours.

Abstract

The aim of this research is to find out how mathematics teachers' learning management works. The research methodology uses qualitative research methods, the approach used in this research uses observation, interviews and documentation. The informant in this research was a mathematics teacher. This research data analysis uses data collection, data reduction, data presentation, and drawing conclusions. The data validity technique in this research uses source triangulation, method triangulation, theory triangulation. The research results show that mathematics teachers who implement good learning management, such as careful planning, use of appropriate learning media, and continuous evaluation, are able to increase student participation in the learning process. In addition, strategies such as problem-based learning, cooperative learning, and the use of educational technology have also proven effective in improving students' understanding of mathematical concepts and problem-solving skills.

Abstract

This study is set against the background of the co-19 pandemic which affects many sectors of human life, one of which is the field of education. This pandemic also encourages innovation in the field of education in making updates or changes to the curriculum. In the curriculum changes used now are known as the independent learning curriculum. This study aims to identify and obtain information about the planning, implementation and effectiveness of the implementation of the independent curriculum at MAN 1 Medan. This research uses a descriptive qualitative research approach, namely research that provides a description of factual and systematic situations and events regarding factors, as well as the relationship between phenomena. The research instruments are observation, interview and observation. The data source of this research is the results of interviews from the head of the madrasa, the deputy head of the madrasa for curriculum and teacher. The results of the study reveal that the implementation of the independent curriculum at MAN 1 Medan has been well implemented. This can be seen from the careful preparation and collaboration between various parties, including the head of the madrasa, deputy head of the madrasa from each field, teachers and other teaching staff. The involvement of all parties greatly affects the effectiveness of curriculum implementation in achieving goals effectively.

Abstract

Effective communication plays a crucial role in intelligence operations, especially in the context of the State Intelligence Agency (BAIS). The ability to collect, analyze and disseminate information in a timely and accurate manner is a determining factor in supporting strategic decisions and responses to national security threats. This research aims to explore the influence of effective communication on intelligence performance at BAIS. The primary focus is to identify how good communications practices can improve the process of gathering, analyzing, and using intelligence information to support better strategic decisions. A quantitative approach was used by collecting data through questionnaires from 50 respondents who were members of BAIS. The questionnaire was designed to measure their perception of the quality of communication in the organization and its impact on intelligence performance. Regression analysis was used to evaluate the relationship between effective communication and intelligence performance. The results of the analysis show that there is a positive and significant relationship between effective communication and intelligence performance in BAIS (? = 0.72, p < 0.001). The high reliability of the measurement instruments (? = 0.87 for Effective Communication and ? = 0.83 for Intelligence Performance) validates the reliability of the data collected. The implications of this research highlight the importance of improving effective communication practices as a strategy to increase responsibility and performance in facing national security challenges.

Abstract

This research aims to find out what children's experiences are during the preparation stage before learning to pray using the drill method at the IT Robbani Kindergarten, and what the children's experiences are during learning to pray using the drill method at the IT Robbani Kindergarten. The research method in this thesis uses descriptive qualitative research. The subjects in this research were the teachers and students of the IT Robbani Kindergarten. The data collection technique process uses interviews, observation and documentation. The data analysis technique in this research uses the Miles & Huberman interactive data analysis model. There are three streams of activities which simultaneously reduce data, present data, formulate conclusions, and verify data analysis. The results of research at the IT Robbani Kindergarten show that children's experiences at the preparation stage are: apperception, conveying goals, and providing motivation. It has been implemented well, using the question and answer method and lectures in a persuasive tone, and motivating children by reading hadith and connecting emotionally with their parents. This experience is carried out by repeating movements and readings in prayer every day.

Abstract

This study aims to examine the implementation of Management Information Systems (MIS) in the evaluation of learning at SMK Sinar Husni Helvetia, particularly in the areas of information collection, data analysis, and dissemination through online applications such as Google Forms, Quizizz, Wordwall, and Google Classroom. The research uses a descriptive qualitative approach, with data collected through observation, interviews, and documentation. The results indicate that MIS supports teachers in designing, distributing, and analyzing evaluation data efficiently and effectively. The use of online applications allows learning assessments to be more practical, interactive, and to provide immediate feedback. This system contributes to more structured teaching and learning activities, enabling schools to achieve educational goals more effectively. The study also highlights the importance of integrating technology with ethical and religious values in developing digital-based educational information systems.

Abstract

Secara historis pergulatan panjang yang menjadi penyebab tercetusnya aliran teologi yang berbeda dalam umat islam bermula pada persoalan politik tanpa menyinggung agama dan berakhir menjadi perpecahan, bukannya menjadi partai politik belakangan yang timbul adalah partai agama dengan membawa dalil yang mengukuhkan pendapat masing-masing hingga melahirkan sejarah kelam dimana antar sesama umat islam saling memerangi atas dasar perbedaan pandangan politik, dengan membawa dalil yang berbeda. Bermula dari terbunuhnya khalifah Usman bin Affan, berlanjut pada perang saudara Antara Mu’awiyah dan Sahabat Ali yang menyebabkan terbunuhnya khalifah Ali, sehingga menyebabkan perpecahan pada umat islam yang mulanya persoalan imamah dan berakhir pada pergulatan politik agama yang berimbas pada perbedaan pandangan dalam teologi. Untuk memahami sejarah dan latar belakang perkembangan ilmu teologi. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode deskriptif dalam menjelaskan sejarah teologi.

Abstract

This research is motivated by the fact that there are differences in the application of the Guided Note Taking (GNT) strategy, Civics teachers only apply two stages of the GNT strategy, namely the opening stage in the form of the teacher rechecking the handout he has made, and the core activity stage in the form of distributing handouts, explaining how to do it, delivering material, and filling in teaching materials (handouts). Civics teachers often do not always carry out the closing stage in the form of reflection and evaluation of learning due to limited time in the learning process. This research methodology uses qualitative research. Data collection techniques were carried out by observation, interviews, and document studies. The results of the study revealed that 1) The opening stage in the GNT strategy carried out in Civics learning in class VB, namely: opening learning with greetings and reading prayers together, checking the readiness of students, making apperceptions, conveying learning objectives, and preparing student record sheets. 2) The core activity stage in the GNT strategy, namely: distributing the note sheet, explaining how to fill in the note sheet, delivering the lesson material, and reading the completed note sheet. 3) The closing stage in the GNT strategy, namely: conducting evaluation, reflecting, giving conclusions, and closing the lesson by reading the prayer after learning together and giving greetings. However, evaluation and reflection activities are not carried out at any time due to time constraints in the learning process.
