Abstract

Penanaman jagung di provinsi Gorontalo di lakukan pada lahan datar dan lahan miring. Dari survei yang dilakukan, lebih dari 60% penanaman jagung dilakukan pada lahan miring. Kemiringan lahan yaitu 20-60o. Penanaman jagung di lahan datar biasa dilakukan dengan mengolah tanah terlebih dahulu menggunakan bajak sapi dan traktor roda empat. Penanaman jagung di lahan miring dilakukan dengan sistem TOT (Tanpa Olah Tanah). Sistem TOT dilakukan karena sulitnya mengolah tanah pada lahan miring. Penanaman jagung dilakukan dengan sistem tugal. Pada saat melakukan penanaman para petani biasanya membutuhkan tenaga kerja 2 orang atau lebih dengan upah kerja perhari Rp 70.000/orang/ha. Tugal yang digunakan terbuat dari kayu yang ujungnya ditajamkan dengan diameter 4-7 cm, dan panjang berkisar antara 120 – 150 cm disesuaikan dengan tinggi petani. Penelitian ini bertujuan merancang GAULMI (Tugal Jagung Lahan Miring) 3 in 1, untuk mempermudah petani dalam membudidayakan tanaman jagung. Keunggulan alat ini adalah dapat melakukan proses 3T (Tancap, Taruh, dan Timbun) dengan cepat dan membutuhkan tenaga kerja lebih sedikit. Hasil pengujian menunjukkan bahwa alat ini dapat beroperasi dengan baik pada lahan. Jumlah benih yang dikeluarkan untuk sekali penugalan mencapai 2-3 biji dengan kedalaman 2-3 cm.

Abstract

Jagung merupakan komoditi utama di Provinsi Gorontalo khususnya di Kabupaten Gorontaloutara dengan produksi jagung sekitar 50 ribu ton/tahun. Salah satu wilayah penyumbangproduksi jagung di kabupaten ini adalah Desa Botuwombato dengan Luas tanaman jagung didesa ini mencapai 550 ha dengan hasil panen mencapai 4.950 ton/tahun. Jagung biasanyaditanam diareal perbukitan dengan kondisi lahan miring. Permasalahan yang dihadapaiadalah besarnya biaya yang gunakan pada saat panen untuk mentransportasikan jagung darilahan ke wilyah pemukiman. Tujuan pengabdian ini adalah untuk melakukan sosialisasi danpelatihan penggunaan mesin pemipil portable sehingga proses pemipilan dapat dilakukan dilahan pertanaman

Abstract

In juvenile criminal justice in Indonesia, the government made a special institution for taking with dealing with this matter. These institutions are known as LPKA and LPAS. The results of the team discussion with the head of LPKA Tomohon, information was obtained that, there was still a lack of guidance related to improving children's abilities. One of these improvements is related to welding training. Beside, the LPKA has provided room facility and plans to build a welding workshop, but the cost is constrained, so it has not been realized. The Unima service team through the Community Partnership Program has realized the welding training. The methods applied include making welding workshops, giving theories related to welding, using machines, measuring, cutting materials, and painting, as well as giving practice and making assignments. Theoretical activities were carried out for 6 days and practical activities for 21 days. The types of welding being trained are 1G and 2G. The results obtained, all the participants, totaling 20 people, were able to carry out the training well. This is indicated by the presentation results which are above 90%. This training, too, provides good product results. This activity was carried out during the COVID-19 pandemic, but all participants and teams carried out activities by adhering to strict health protocols.

Abstract

ABSTRACT: IDENTIFICATION OF ERGONOMIC ASPECTS AT WELDING WORKSHOP AT LPKA KELAS II TOMOHON Introduction: LPKA Kelas II Tomohon Is a Special Children's Development Institution that has the duties and functions of to build, guide and protect every student who has problems with the law. One of the coaching programs implemented is welding process training to improve the creativity of community students. Purpose: This research aims to identify the application of eight aspects of ergonomics to welding workshop participants in LPKA Kelas II Tomohon.Method: The design of this study is an observational analytical approach that is observation without intervention to uncover the facts of a cause and effect described descriptively. This research was conducted by observing the workings and work environments including, human interaction of machines, and the physical environment. This research is focused on the training process of welding practice. Respondents from this study amounted to 14 respondents who took welding training. The study was conducted from May 2021 to June 2021.Result: Based on observations and measurements that are known that in working conditions in welding workshops are still not ergonomic, it can be seen from the absence of physiological work attitude arrangements when doing activities, irregular rest arrangements, lack of muscle stretching activity at rest, and the use of welding glasses and masks that have not been applied when doing the welding process. Conclusion: Based on the identification of the application of 8 aspects of ergonomics that are still a priority of attention that are at risk of health problems in worksop participants, namely from aspects of work attitudes that are still not in accordance with physiological / ergonomic attitudes, the social condition of the participant's work culture is still lacking in the culture of the use of personal protective equipment to ensure work safety, and human-machine interaction is still not appropriate, namely from the correct use of tools in accordance with their function,  Work facilities such as desks have not met, fiber working conditions that can still pose health risks to workers that need to be a concern. Keywords: ergonomic aspects, occupational health, welding    INTISARI : IDENTIFIKASI ASPEK-ASPEK ERGONOMI DI WORKSHOP PENGELASAN DI LPKA KELAS II TOMOHON Pendahuluan: LPKA Kelas II Tomohon adalah Lembaga Pembinaan Khusus Anak yang memiliki tugas dan fungsi utnuk mebina, membimbing dan mengayomi setiap anak didik permasyarakatan yang bermasalah dengan hukum. Salah satu program pembinaan yang dilaksanakan yaitu pelatihan proses pengelasan untuk meningkatkan kreatifitas anak didik permasyarakatan.Tujuan: Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengidentifikasi penerapan delapan aspek ergonomi pada peserta workshop pengelasan di LPKA Kelas II Tomohon.Metode: Rancangan pada penelitian ini adalah dengan pendekatan analitik-observasional yaitu pengamatan tanpa intervensi untuk mengungkap fakta suatu sebab-akibat yang diuraikan secara deskriptif. Penelitian ini dilakukan dengan melakukan observasi terhadap cara kerja dan lingkungan kerja meliputi, interaksi manusia mesin, dan lingkungan fisik.Hasil: Berdasarkan Pengamatan dan Pengukuran yang dilakaukan diketahui bahwa pada program pengelasan dilihat dari penerapan aspek-aspek ergonomi yaitu Status gizi, sikap kerja, penggunaan tenaga otot, kondisi lingkungan, kondisi waktu, kondisi sosial, kondisi informasi dan kondisi interaksi manusia-mesin telah diterapkan walaupun dibeberapa aspek yang masih perlu diterapkan untuk terciptanya kondisi kerja yang aman, nyaman, sehat, efisen dan efektif.Simpulan: Berdasarkan identifikasi penerapan 8 aspek ergonomi yang masih menjadi prioritas perhatian yang berisiko terjadinya gangguan kesehatan pada peserta worksop yaitu dari aspek sikap kerja yang masih belum sesuai dengan sikap fisiologis/ergonomis, kondisi social budaya kerja peserta masih kurang dalam budaya penggunaan alat pelindung diri untuk menjamin keselamatan kerja, serta interaksi manusia-mesin masih belum sesuai yaitu dari penggunaan alat yang benar sesuai dengan fungsinya, fasilitas kerja seperti meja kerja belum memenuhi, serat kondisi kerja yang masih dapat menimbulkan risiko kesehatan pekerja yang perlu menjadi perhatian. Kata Kunci : aspek ergonomi, kesehatan kerja, pengelasan

Abstract

Used oil is an alternative fuel causing a number of problems. In terms of fuel consumption, the used oil consumption lasts longer. It also causes slow combustion because used oil has to reach a certain point in order to burn. The purpose of this study was to analyze the impact that occurs when the use of this machine continues to be implemented. This impact can be in the form of reducing the amount of waste and environmental safety from pollution. The method used in this research were a survey to obtain primary data, machine testing for, and calculations using the appropriate parameters. The results obtained that the kawangkoan peanuts roaster machine was able to roast in 10 minutes. This time is faster than the manual method that has been done so far. Fuel consumption reaches 0.8 liters / one roast. If this value is calculated with the number of kawangkoan peanuts craftsmen who reach 50 people according to data obtained from the village, it is certain that the amount of oil required for special roasting every year reaches 730,000 liters. This result is more than the amount of waste generated by vehicles in Minahasa which reaches 718,744 liters/year.

Abstract

The COVID-19 pandemic has hit almost all countries and has an impact on various sectors, one of which is the economy and business. The impact of Covid 19 in the economic and business sectors is felt by Small and Medium Enterprises (SMEs). Cake craftsmen in Kotamobagu, North Sulawesi, are one of the SMEs that have been badly affected by the Covid-19 pandemic. Based on the situation analysis, it is known that there are several things that affect the situation, namely: 1. Consumers' fear of unhygienic food products, 2. The closing of shops which are usually used as places to store their merchandise, and 3. Not familiar with online promotion and marketing. Based on this, the objectives of the PKM activity are: to provide assistance to cake-making SMEs in Kotamobagu in order to minimize the impact of the pandemic through improved production, promotion and online marketing. This PKM activity was carried out by involving 10 SMEs in Kotamobagu. The implementation of the activity consists of several stages, namely the preparation stage including the formation of SME groups, the socialization stage includes learning about how to produce cakes using health protocols, and the implementation stage, namely cake production using the Health protocol, making promotional documents and online marketing (making videos and product photos), as well as creating Facebook, Instagram and Youtube accounts. Based on the activities that have been carried out, it is known that this activity is very useful because it is able to produce production improvements, promotions and marketing for SMEs cake craftsmen in Kotamobagu. The output of this activity is the existence of promotional documents and online marketing, through FB, Instagram and Youtube media. The next activity is recommended to conduct training activities with the aim of accelerating the production process, improving product packaging and enriching the variety of superior products to be marketed with a wider target consumer.

Abstract

The development of science and technology has made significant advances in the search for alternative energies to replace oil and coal. One of the widely studied alternative energies is electrical energy obtained from plants. The use of electrical energy is due to the increasing population. This increase results in people using electricity to fulfill their activities and lifestyle. An alternative energy from plants is star fruit. Starfruit is acidic and contains many good electrolytes for electricity. The results of the research related to the belief in Wuluh were carried out by researchers. Based on a 2: 1 ratio (earth and star fruit) it can produce 1V of electricity. When this concept is produced in large quantities and connected in series, it can produce greater electrical power. The research was excellent and laid the foundation for the team to develop various concepts. The plan is to manufacture the battery on a large scale so that it can later be used in areas without a power supply. This battery is also said to help illuminate public roads as an alternative to replacing solar panels.

Abstract

Filosofi dasar dari sebuah perancangan fasilitas kerja adalah membuat desain fasilitas kerja yang mengarah pada kenyamanan, keselamatan, dan kesehatan fisik pekerja.Tujuan dari penelitian ini yaitu merancang desain fasilitas kerja berupa meja kerja berdasarkan data antropometri peserta untuk mengurangi gangguan-gangguan fisiologis pada peserta pelatihan pengelasan di LPKA Kelas II Tomohon Sulawesi Utara.Penelitian dilakukan di LPKA Kelas II Tomohon menggunakan metode deskriptif. Objek dalam penelitian ini adalah 14 orang peserta pelatihan. Waktu penelitian Mei-Juni 2021. Data yang diambil dalam penelitian ini adalah data antropometri, keluhan musculoskeletal, dan kelelahan subjektif. Instrumen penelitian yang digunakan yaitu, Antropometer, Nordic Body Map empat skala likert, dan 30 items of rating scales of general fatique lima Skala Likert. Data dianalisis dengan menggunakan IBM SPSS Versi 25 MacOs dan Microsoft Excel. Hasil penelitian beban fisiologis dilihat dari keluhan musculoskeletal p0 sebesar 55,82, p1 sebesar 41,72. Sedangkan untuk kelelahan subjektif pada p0 sebesar 46,19, p1 sebesar 40,66. Rancangan fasilitas kerja berupa meja kerja ergonomis yang sesuai dengan data antropometri operator/peserta. Spesifikasi perancangan meja kerja yaitu tinggi meja 100,8 cm berdasarkan tinggi siku berdiri, lebar meja 65 cm berdasarkan panjang jangkauan pekerja, panjang meja 120 cm berdasakan duakali lebar bahu pekerja, dan level rak bawah dengan tinggi 46,5 cm berdasarkan tinggi lutut pekerja. Perancangan fasilitas kerja sesuai dengan antropometri peserta mampu menurunkan tingkat keluhan musculoskeletal sebesar 59%. Dan melalui perancangan fasilitas kerja sesuai dengan data antropometri peserta mampu mengurangi kelelahan kerja sebesar 11,9%.

Abstract

Kacang tanah Kawangkoan dikenal sebagai salah satu buah tangan dan jajanan khas Sulawesi Utara. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk merancang atau memodifikasih mesin penyangrai kacang tanah Kawangkoan berbahan bahan bakar liquefied petroleum gas. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah observasi, studi pustaka, dokumentasi, sumber data, dan pengolahan data. Hasil pengujian yang didapatkan mesin ini mampu meyangrai dengan waktu 6-10 menit dengan kapasitas kacang tanah 30 liter dan pasir 15 liter. Dalam proses penyangraian, suhu yang digunakan berasal dari nyala api tungku kompor semawar. Ketinggian api yang dihasilkan menacapai 15cm. Suhu yang dihasilkan pasir mencapai 190-2600C. Pengaturan suhu diatur oleh bukaan regulator yang terpasang pada tabung gas. Putaran ruang penyangrai bekisar 75 rpm. Peneliti berharap semoga penelitian ini dapat bermanfaat dan menjadi refrensi bagi pembaca karena pengguanaan mesin, mampu mempercepat proses penyangraian.Kata Kunci : Kawangkoan, Mesin Penyangrai Kacang, LPG

Abstract

The use of two-wheeled motorbikes as transportation has inspired researchers to increase their use as drivers for agricultural tools and machinery (machines). The machine that will be made is portable so that it can be used by farmers and community service providers to help with post-harvest activities. The type of motorbike used in this research is the Honda Megapro 155cc. This motorbike has a powerful maximum power of 13.3 HP. This research focuses on modifying rice flour machines using motorbikes. Although conventional rice flour machines have made a major contribution to rice processing efficiency, the adoption of motorbike drives brings a new dimension in terms of mobility and accessibility. This modification aims to increase the efficiency, competitiveness and availability of rice flouring machines, especially in rural and remote areas where access to conventional energy resources may be limited. The benefit of this research is to improve the community's economy, especially grater business actors, because with this innovation, business actors can carry out grinding anywhere and of course can move from one market to another and can even carry out grinding door to door. This research method includes planning, machine design, machine fabrication, testing. Based on the research results obtained, the prototype of this grinding/floating machine can function well as proven by good test results. The test results from this research showed that the average time for grinding 1kg rice was 7 minutes 53 seconds and the average fuel required to grind 1kg rice was 150 ml
