Abstract

Salah satu program unggulan kegiatan Kosabangsa (Kegiatan Sosial Membangun Masyarakat) Tim Kolaborasi USN Kolaka dengan UNIMA Manado untuk pelaksanaan tahun 2023 adalah memberikan pelatihan kepada masyarakat Desa Balobone Kecamatan Mawasangka Kabupaten Buton Tengah tentang pengolahan tempurung kelapa menjadi briket yang digunakan sebagai bahan bakar alternatif dalam kehidupan sehari-hari khususnya dalam memanggang makanan yang bisa menjadi nilai jual jika dibuat dengan baik. Potensi kelapa yang besar di lingkungan desa menjadi faktor utama dalam mengolah tempurung kelapa yang selama ini sebagian besar hanya dibuang atau dibakar langsung. Dengan ditunjang dengan pengadaan mesin TTG pengolah tempurung kelapa menjadi briket maka diharapkan produksi briket di desa memanfaatkan potensi perkebunan dapat berjalan maksimal.  Metode yang diterapkan pada kegiatan ini adalah penyampaian materi pembuatan briket, kemudian dilanjutkan dengan praktik langsung pengolahan tempurung kelapa menjadi briket dengan melalui proses persiapan, penghancuran tempurung, pencampuran, pencetakan pada mesin dan pengeringan. Kegiatan ini menarik antusias yang besar dari masyarakat sekitar sehingga kedepan masyarakat mampu mengolah sendiri limbah tempurung kelapa yang tidak terpakai. Tujuan akhir yang ingin dicapai adalah meningkatan pemahaman dan keterampilan masyarakat sekitar dalam pengolahan tempurung kelapa menjadi briket siap pakai.

Abstract

Kawangkoan beans are well known as one of the souvenirs and snacks typical of North Sulawesi. Named kawangkoan beans, because the area has a fertile soil type and a climate suitable for peanut growth. Kacang is also an icon of the Kawangkoan sub-district which has been enshrined in a peanut statue. The manufacture of kawangkoan beans is usually carried out in several stages, namely from upstream to downstream processes. The stages of making kawangkoan beans sequentially include planting, fertilizing, caring, harvesting, drying, roasting, packaging, and selling. These stages are usually carried out by several farmer groups and home industries, especially IKM Rimawar. The purpose of this service is to implement and train partners regarding the kawangkoan bean roasting machine so that later roasted peanut production is better, faster and cost-effective. The methodology carried out includes field surveys, interviews, machine manufacturing, training, machine handover and reporting. The results obtained from this service are that participants are able to understand the process of using and maintaining machines with a percentage of 95%. In addition, for the percentage of participant activity, this value reaches 90%. The activity was obtained from the observations of the participants during the training. Furthermore, for the cooperation process, all participants were able to work well together, this was shown by the percentage of group cooperation which reached 95%. The application of this peanut roaster machine is very good for partners and easy to use. Used fuel oil is easy to find, making the use of this machine able to protect the environment from indiscriminate disposal of used oil waste.

Abstract

In the construction of the enclosure, it is necessary to give attention to the electricity supply and electrical installation. This is an important element in a good cage system. Electricity can be used as a source of lighting, generating water pumps, driving electric motors for animal feed machines, and so on. The Mechanical Engineering Student Association of Manado State University has now received the Program Peningkatan Kemampuan Organisasi Mahasiswa (PPK-ORMAWA) from the Directorate General of Student Learning (DITBELMAWA). The program is entitled Development of Integrated Farming-Based Animal Homestay. This concept is new, and new in Indonesia. The purpose of this service activity was to apply PLTS to animal homestays so as to provide electricity that can be used for lighting and other activities that require electricity. The methods used are program socialization, pre-test, PV mini-grid design, PV mini-grid manufacturing, training related to PV mini-grid, post-test and reporting. The results obtained from the training are the creation of PLTS that can be used. The results of the training obtained include making installations reaching 90% and introduction of PLTS tools and materials reaching 95%. The team hopes that this service activity can be useful for the future.

Abstract

Decree of the President of the Republic of Indonesia, Likupang became one of the priority tourist destinations. This is certainly a blessing for the people of North Sulawesi, especially Likupang. One of the industries in Marinsow Village is producing klentik coconut oil (village oil). Klentik coconut oil (village oil) is a product derived from coconuts. This oil has a distinctive taste and aroma for the fish meat that will be served. This product is also one of North Sulawesi's export commodities. In the process of making klentik coconut oil, there are several stages that must be passed. These stages include, peeling the coconut, splitting the coconut, grating the coconut meat, making coconut milk, stirring, fermenting, separating and cooking. Based on the results of the team's interviews with partners, several problems were raised. These problems include, 1) the equipment used is still traditional, 2) peeling coconut is still manual and takes a lot of time and energy, 3) the process of separating oil and water in coconut milk still takes 12-15 hours, 4) there is no business management and 5) the product is not yet standardized. The methods used in this activity are surveys, tool manufacturing, machine use training and reporting. From the results obtained, the participants were very enthusiastic about taking part in the training as evidenced by the presence of the participants. As a result of the interviews, the training participants were able to explain orally the components that make up the tools 80% of the time. The presentation value was not optimal, because there were 2 people aged 56 and 60 years. Both of them were unable to remember and were shy in explaining. For practical material, all participants with a percentage of 100% were able to process coconut milk using a homogeneizer machine or coconut peeling

Abstract

Mild steel is steel with a concentration of carbon element below 0.3%. In its use as an oil storage tank material on fuel transport trucks, there is a problem, namely its resistance to corrosion in fuel. Sulfur compounds in fuel have a role in the formation of corrosion. Currently, the Ni-Cr electroplating coating method is very widely used as an effort to control the corrosion rate of carbon steel. The use of Ni-Cr as an anode is relied upon as a substance resistant to corrosion. Therefore, the purpose of this study was to identify how layer thickness affects corrosion levels in SS400 mild steel based on current variations and duration of the electroplating process. In this study using mild steel SS400 JIS G3101 with electroplating method (electroplating) varying the electric current 1A, 2A and 3A, as well as electroplating time of 10 minutes, 20 minutes and 30 minutes. The test parameters of the electroplating results are the actual layer thickness test, theoretical thickness test and corrosion rate test. Data processing was analyzed using two-way variance analysis. The thickness of the layer increases with increasing electric current and the length of time of Ni-Cr electroplating. The highest thickness value of 102.34 μm using a digital microscope while for theoretical testing of 98.33 μm, both were obtained at a current variation of 3A and an electroplating time of 30 minutes. The trend of corrosion rate value will decrease with the increase in electric current and the length of electroplating time with the lowest value of 0.003359 mmpy at a variation of electric current 3A and electroplating time of 30 minutes. For optimal values with the lowest corrosion rate on mild steel SS400 JIS G3101 as an oil storage tank material on fuel transport trucks, it is obtained by using a current of 3A and an electroplating time of 30 minutes Ni-Cr.

Abstract

Lembaga pemasyarakatan atau disingkat LP atau Lapas adalah tempat untuk melakukan pembinaan terhadap narapidana dan anak didik pemasyarakatan di Indonesia. Pengajar yang melatih keterampilan bengkel dan pengelasan merupakan hal yang sangat penting. Mengelas adalah salah satu teknik menyambung logam dengan cara mencairkan sebagian logam induk dan logam pengisi dengan atau tanpa tekanan dan dengan atau tanpa logam penambah dan menghasilkan sambungan yang kontinu Program pelatihan keterampilan las yang diselenggarakan di LP kelas II A manado bertujuan untuk membekali narapidana dengan keterampilan yang dapat membantu mereka dalam mencari pekerjaan yang layak setelah pembebasan bahkan dapat menciptakan peluang usaha pengelasan sendiri. Metode penelitian melibatkan survei dan wawancara dengan narapidana yang telah mengikuti program ini. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa program "Sekolah Bengkel Las" secara signifikan meningkatkan keterampilan narapidana dalam bidang pengelasan dan membantu mereka dalam mendapatkan pekerjaan yang lebih baik pasca pembebasan. Selain itu, program ini juga memberikan dampak positif pada tingkat pendapatan mereka. Studi ini menggarisbawahi pentingnya pelatihan keterampilan sebagai alat untuk merehabilitasi narapidana dan mengintegrasikan mereka kembali ke masyarakat.

Abstract

Dalam melakukan aktivitas proses produksi dijumpai beberapa sistem fasilitas kerja, serta kondisi kerja yang tidak sesuai dengan aspek ergonomic pada area kerja operator yang mengakibatkan rasa kurang nyaman pada saat bekerja. Tujuan pelaksanaan program kemitraan masyarakat ini maka prioritas yang harus ditangani bersama mitra adalah perlu melakukan penerapan ergo-mechanical design yang dapat memberikan perbaikan dari sisi kesehatan kerja dan kualitas produk yang dihasilkan. Hal ini dapat memberikan peningkatan daya saing produk.  Metode pelaksanaan yang dilakukan dalam kegiatan ini adalah dengan melakukan metode sosialisasi dan pembinaan terhadap proses kerja agar lebih efektif melalui perencanaan stasiun kerja agar sesuai dengan karakter pekerja, kapasitas, alat dan ruang serta lingkungan kerja, dilakukan penataan ruang kerja ergonomis, serta melakukan pengadaan fasilitas kerja berupa meja kerja dan lemari penyimpanan bahan dan alat-alat kerja untuk menunjang peningkatan kualitas dan perlindungan hasil produksi.   Hasil dari sosialisasi yang dilakukan pekerja dan pemilik usaha semakin mengerti tentang pentingnya memiliki ruang kerja yang ergonomic dimana dapat meningkatkan hasil produksi dan meningkatkan produktivitas kerja, juga dapat menghindari kelelahan fisik dan mental pekerja serta mencegah terjadinya penyakit akibat kerja dan kecelakaan akibat kerja saat bekerja.  Pelatihan design dilakukan untuk menunjang proses produksi, sebelum adanya pelatihan design ini, proses design produksi di CV. Victorina masih menggunakan gambar konvensional atau manual. pekerja mampu mengetahui dan menerapkan ergonomic dan design menggunakan solidwork dalam proses design produk yang dihasilkan berdasarkan kaidah design dan kaidah ergonomic yaitu menggunakan acuan antropometri orang Indonesia sehingga kualitas kesehatan dan kualitas produksi yang bersaing

Abstract

Keterbatasan teknologi dalam proses pasca-panen sering menjadi hambatan utama dalam meningkatkan produktivitas pertanian di daerah perdesaan yang berbukit-bukit, termasuk di Desa Mokoditek. Jagung dan kelapa sebagai komoditas utama di desa ini diolah secara manual, yang membutuhkan waktu dan tenaga yang besar dan mengalami kesulitan dalam pengangkutan hasil panen. Untuk mengatasi tantangan tersebut, program ini memperkenalkan mesin pemipil jagung portabel, penepung, penggiling, dan pemarut portabel berpenggerak motor yang bisa dibawa sampai dilokasi pertanian sebagai solusi berbasis teknologi tepat guna. Pelatihan yang diberikan mencakup cara penggunaan, pemeliharaan, dan penerapan teknologi dalam kegiatan pasca-panen. Pelatihan ini berdampak pada peningkatan efisiensi produksi, dengan produktivitas hasil panen meningkat hingga 50% dan pengurangan waktu kerja sebesar 70% dibandingkan metode tradisional. Teknologi ini juga memungkinkan petani melakukan diversifikasi produk, seperti tepung jagung, minyak kelapa klentik, dan pakan ternak, yang memberikan nilai tambah pada hasil pertanian mereka. Pendapatan petani meningkat hingga 30%, serta tercipta peluang usaha baru yang mendukung keberlanjutan ekonomi desa.

Abstract

Mokoditek Village in North Bolaang Mongondow has great agricultural potential, especially in corn and rice production. However, low productivity and limited technology have caused local farmer groups, especially the Singkanaung Farmers Group, to be unable to optimize their agricultural output. This research aims to increase the production capacity and management of farmer groups through the application of appropriate technology and intensive training. The results of the program showed an increase in corn productivity from 3 tons/ha to 4 tons/ha. In addition, financial management training has strengthened the capacity of farmer group members to manage agricultural businesses more efficiently and sustainably.

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to see an overview or analyze: (1) student learning activity during the pandemic through online learning using University LMS. (2) Seeing an improvement in students' drawing skills in the Machine Drawing II course using the Solidwoks application. This research was conducted using Quasi Experiment (pseudo-experiment) and qualitative descriptive methods. The Quasi Experiment design used in this study is One group Pretest-postest design. The data analysis technique in this study used the help of SPSS statistical application / software version 25 for Mac. The purpose of the data analysis technique is to see improvements in the learning outcomes of Machine Drawing II by applying the Project Based Learning model assisted by the Solidworks application. Data analysis in this study used non-parametric statistical analysis. Non-parametric statistics used in testing the mean comparison hypothesis are independent sample t-tests, with the Wilcoxon Test technique. The results of the study concluded that: (1) The implementation of Project-based Learning using Solidworks in online learning during the Covid-19 pandemic was proven to increase student activity, as evidenced by the results of observations of activeness, readiness, and raising ideas or ideas above 90% ("Very active" category). (2) The implementation of Project-based Learning using Solidworks in online learning is proven to improve students' skills/psychomotor knowledge. Based on the output table "Independent Samples Test" it can be seen that the significance value is 0.00 < ( ( 0.05) then the H1 hypothesis is accepted and it can be concluded that there is a significant difference between the average pretest and posttest learning outcomes.
