Abstract

PT Djarum is one of the biggest where the production and operational takes place in Kudus. This research intended to find out impact role of total quality management (X1) and Compensation (X2) to the human resource quality (Y) of BL 53 Factory PT Djarum Kudus. The type of this research is explanatory research, with the population all of BL 53 Factory employee with total of 644 employees. 87 respondents used as sample which counted with Slovin Formula with simple random sampling technique. data collection techniques are interview and questioner. data analysis technique using validity test, reliability test, simple linear regression, double linear regression, T test and F test with SPSS 21.0. Based on regression equation and correlation coefficient can be seen that quality management and compensation had impact to the human resource quality.  From the determination coefficient total quality management had 60,8% and compensation had 59,1% of human resource quality.. In Conclusion the better or higher application of either total quality management and compensation will increase the human resource quality.

Abstract

This study aimed to to determine the effect variables of Product Innovation, Product Quality and Brand Equity on Purchase Decision  On Small and Medium Enterprises Educative Props Children Toy’s in Semarang District. This type of research used is explanatory research, data collection methods using an  interview and  questionnaire with a sample of 100 respondents who make a purchase on  Small and Medium Enterprises Educative Props Children Toy’s via nonprobability sampling technique by using purposive sampling method. The results of the statistical linear regression analysis can be shown by the regression equation Y = - 1.466+ 0,562X1 + 0,481X2+ 0,109X3 e. From the regression equation it is known that the product innovation, product quality and brand equity has an effect on purchase decision. The results of the calculation of the coefficient of determination 0.725 magnitude. It is indicating that the product innovation, product quality and brand equity variables could explain 72,5% of purchase decision. Based on the results of the data analysis we can conclude the existence effect of product innovation, product quality and brand equity to purchase decision Educative Props Children Toy’s and have a strong level of closeness relationship this means that the higher product innovation, product quality and brand equity that will lead to the higher purchase decision. Companies can improve product innovation by adjusting the needs of consumers, improve the quality of packaging products mainly deals with products that are still moldy so much attention at the time of packaging, improve brand equity by creating the web to introduce more products and brands, and need a guidebook  for any desain product.

Abstract

Organization culture in the company can be a guide for the employee to doing the job and norms behavior. So as motivation is an important element in the company to improve employee performance. Aim for this research is to describe and analyze influence organization culture and motivation to employee performance in PT. BPR Artha Huda Abadi Pati.       This research used 74 PT BPR Artha Huda Abadi Pati marketing departemen employee as a population and respondents. Sampling technique used in this research is by using non-probability sampling technique that is Purposive Sampling. Analysis method to process the data is using correlation coefficient, determinant coefficient, simple linear regression, and double linear regression, T-Test, F-Test with SPSS V.16 program.       The result of analyzing data organization culture and motivation id take effect to employee performance. Organization culture and motivation can describe variable of employee’s performance amount to 40,4%. Organization culture can explain employee performance amount to 28,6%, while motivation can explain amount to 20,2%. Organization culture and motivation together affect to the employee’s performance.        Conclusion from this research is organization culture and motivation partially have effect to the PT. BPR Artha Huda Abadi Pati employee’s performance. Suggestion that can be give is how the company can create good corporate order so that employees can work well and discipline in work, give direction employees to the culture of all K3 (Satisfaction, Safety and Health) and good communication and provision of better facilities.

Abstract

Over time human needs are increasingly complex, to support human needs so it takes such transportation, an own vehicles. one of the vehicle is Honda motorcycle. Honda motorcycle purchasing in Semarang done by Astra Motor Region of Semarang is supported by some official dealer in Semarang. One of the official dealers is Tunggul Sakti. In the latest five years 2010-2014 Honda motorcycle purchasing in Tunggul Sakti Sejahtera dealer cannot reach the target, only in 2013 and 2014 it can reach the target. There are some factors influencing the purchasing decision in the dealer. They are service quality, store atmosphere, and location. The aim of this research is to figure out if the service quality, store atmosphere, and location influence the purchasing decision of Honda motorcycle in Tunggul Sakti dealer Semarang.                  The numbers of taken samples are 98, those are taken with purposive sampling technique. The collecting data techniques are questionnaire and interview. The analysis methods used are cross tabulation, correlation experiment, determination, simple linier regression, multiple linier regression, T experiment and F experiment. The result of the research reveals that partially or simultaneously that there is an influence in the service quality, store atmosphere and location towards purchasing decision. The given suggestion for Tunggul Sakti Sejahtera dealer is that they had better improve the service quality of the Tunggul Sakti Sejahtera dealer’s employees by minimizing mistake, adding an AC so that the room will be cooler, and doing any exhibition in central crowd to get closer with consumers.

Abstract

This research motivated by communication technology growth that supplier make as a business chance. One of products that competed by supplier now is smartphone. Smartphone be a communication technology that considered can make the user be easier. Specially, this research tell about Blackberry smartphone which is already be a leader smartphone on Top Brand Index (TBI) in Indonesia since 2011 until 2013.. Goal of this research is to know what influence of brand awareness, perceived  quality, brand association to purchase decision through brand equity of Blackberry. The type of this research is explanatory, with data collecting technique by questionnaire and interview. The sampling technique of this research use multi stage sampling and purposive sampling. The amount of sample is 96 people. This research is use qualitative and quantitative analysis technique (validity test, reliability test, correlation coefficient, simple and multiple regeression analysis, the coefficient of determination, a significant test (t and F) and path analysis). The result of this research is all of independent variable which is brand awareness (X1) perceived quality (X2), brand association (X3) simultaneously or partially can influence dependent variable which is brand eqiuty (Y1) and purchase decision variable (Y2). According the result of path analysis, direct influence on brand awareness variable to purchase decision is more than indirect influence, and perceived quality variable and brand association to purchase decision direct influence less than indirect influence.

Abstract

Selection of mode of transportation as one of the steps in the planning of transportation plays an important role in deciding policy issues in relation to the type of transport modes and infrastructure available. Research titled Effectiveness Analysis of Business Strategies PO. Selera Masa in Competition aims to determine the effectiveness of the business strategy undertaken by PO. Selera Masa on the present and examine the effectiveness of business strategies undertaken by PO. Selera Masa in the future.This type of research with descriptive method of  research that  seeks  to said solving the problem based on the data in the field. The use of research methods  with  a SWOT analysis  (Strengths, Weaknesses,  Opportunities,  Threats  Analysis)  is used to assist management  in implementing the strategy  which is expected to reveal the strategic issues of intensive, in-depth and comprehensive  and formulate appropriate strategies in order to increase the accuracy of business strategies in PO. Selera Masa in the face of competition.

Abstract

Nowadays, the growth of Small Medium Enterprises (SMEs) in Indonesia is emerged it was caused by the growing business in micro-small scale, which is one of them is enting-enting gepuk enterprises in Salatiga. Nevertheless, in conjunction with the emegence of enting-enting gepuk enterprises, the competition among the similiar products or the subtitution products was triggered. The competitions of various brands of enting-enting gepuk have allowed the improvement in marketing strategy for each SMEs enting-enting gepuk. One of the marketing strategies to support the product promotion in order to satisfy the consumers is marketing mix.This research is aimed to know the marketing mix which is implied by enting-enting gepuk enterprises in Salatiga. This research used descriptive analysis, with interviews and observations as its data collection technique. Data sample technique used purposive method. Sample of this research is 5 (five) respondents who are the owner of enting-enting gepuk enterprises in Salatiga.This research concludes that enting-enting gepuk enterprises in Salatiga have did the innovation on product design by adding the choice of flavor variant and change the product packaging design, technical innovation in the form of machine use, product development by producing product besides enting-enting gepuk. Pricing strategies by offering products at different prices based on the amount of contents in a single pack. Promotional strategies tend to be passive. Distribution strategies use direct marketing channels. Based on the aforementioned statements, the researcher suggested that the owner of enting-enting gepuk enterprises can improve their creativities to create new innovations, create a product with a smaller amount of content in one package so the price set more affordable, improve the product promotion with social media or online sites to expand the market, improve the cooperation with the distributor or shops that located throughout Indonesia.

Abstract

Human resources is one of factors has an important role in improving employee performance. The population of this study were 93employees as respondent. From the results of data analysis conclude that Culture Organization has significant effect on Employe Performance of 56.3 percent. Commitment affect empoye performance by 67 percent. . Culture Organization and Commitment simultaneously affecting Employe Performance by 69.2 percent. . Based on these results, the management of PT. Suara Merdeka Press Semarang needs to consider the application of Culture Organization by division supervisor. Continuous guidance and supervision needs to be done so that employees work better. e needs of employees and the opportunity to move forward should be supported and facilitated.

Abstract

Characteristics of the entrepreneurial is a very important, entrepreneurial characteristics were action, abilities and  otherspesific character that owned by someone who related to entrepreneurial activity. The purpose of this study were to know characteristics of the entrepreneurial business owners and how characteristics of the entrepreneurship role as a business growth factor in MSMEs Martabak Setia Budi Semarang. In this research using qualitative descriptive type.The technique of taking resources is purposive sampling; techniques of data collection is done by conducting interviews, observation, and documentation; data analysis techniques usingcredibility test data by triangulation, transferability test, and confirmability test.The results of this study showed that in the MSMEs Martabak Setia Budi, entrepreneurial characteristics of business owners is a determining factor in the business growth, which is seen from five aspects such as leadership, task orientation and results, confidence, risk-taking and future orientation that have been already good, Advice for MSMEs Martabak Setia Budi which must keep product quality, make innovation so the consumers are not bored and adding the number of employees at each branch.
