Abstract

The aim of this research is to explain the influence of the principal's policy on the quality of Islamic education at SMA IT Yarsi Mataram. This research uses a quantitative type with an analytical design. The population of this study were all teachers and students of SMA IT Yarsi Mataram and the sample was 10 teachers and 15 students. The sampling technique used is random sampling. Data collection techniques through observation with questionnaire instruments for Islamic education policy and quality. The data analysis technique uses the t test and/or F test. The results of the research show that there is an influence of the principal's policy on the quality of Islamic education at SMA IT Yarsi Mataram as seen from the significant value obtained in the t test and F test of 0.000 which is smaller than 0.05. This means Ha is accepted and Ho is rejected. This shows that there is an influence of the principal's policy on improving the quality of Islamic education at SMA IT Yarsi Mataram. The better the policies decided by the school principal, the more the quality of Islamic education will improve. This research is a stimulus for school principals to consider all their policies because they will determine the quality of the school.

Abstract

Literacy culture can be a reflection of the progress of the nation. Literacy culture can also be an indicator that distinguishes primitive society from civilized society. A nation whose literacy is still low will experience a gloomy civilization. The purpose of this study was to determine the ability, and management of madrasahs and implications in Basic Literacy, especially the reading aspect of students at Madrasah Aliyah Negeri (MAN) 2 Lombok Timur. In this study, documentation, observation, and interviews are the methods used to collect data. The results of the study are literacy activities that have begun to grow and develop at MAN 2 Lombok Timur, becoming a special attraction to make MAN 2 Lombok Timur a research location. This is related to Meidiawati's view that several things can be done to build a culture of literacy, namely fostering interest in reading, subsidizing or providing books or reading materials, optimizing the existence of libraries, appreciating written works, and government political support. madrasah management in building a culture of literacy for students at MAN 2 Lombok Timur. Management is related to efforts to plan, organize, mobilize, and control all aspects of activities in realizing the development of a culture of literacy. As part of the management carried out at MAN 2 East Lombok to build a culture of literacy, namely Building a joint commitment, Forming a literacy team, Monitoring and controlling the implementation of commitments, and Providing appreciation for active and high-achieving students (4-M). The management implemented at MAN 2 East Lombok can improve the ability and enthusiasm of students in literacy, improve the quality of literacy results, increase the number of literacy enthusiasts, and foster student awareness in cultivating literacy in their daily lives.

Abstract

Tuan Guru Haji Muhammad Mutawalli's spiritual leadership has garnered attention due to his influence at the Darul Aitam Jerowaru Islamic Boarding School. The integrity of educational human resources in issue relates to the morals, ethics, honesty, accountability, and strong Islamic values that instructors and students embody. The goal of this study was to determine how Tuan Guru Haji Muhammad Mutawalli provided spiritual leadership at the Darul Aitam Jerowaru Islamic Boarding School and contributed to the integrity of Educational Human Resources. Qualitative research is a research approach based on the idea of postpositivism, with data collected using triangulation and inductive analytical procedures. The results of this study are spiritual leadership in the Islamic boarding school of the practice of the tarekat taught by Tuan Guru Haji Muhammad Mutawalli is through opening the Majlis Taklim, the Majlis pengajian for the general public, then the strategy used uses only the sharia approach and the role as the leader of the Islamic boarding school, Tuan Guru directs and organizes his students, so a Tuan Guru has a lot of charm and authority in front of his students.

Abstract

The aim of this study is to analyze the situational leadership strategy implemented by the principal in improving teachers' discipline and motivation at SMK Futuhul Arifin Lembar, West Lombok. Situational leadership is an approach that emphasizes adapting leadership styles to the prevailing circumstances and conditions. In the educational context, this is crucial to ensuring the achievement of optimal educational goals, particularly in enhancing teachers' work quality and motivation.  The research employs a qualitative approach, utilizing data collection techniques such as interviews, observations, and documentation. The findings reveal that the principal of SMK Futuhul Arifin implements various strategies, including open communication, rewards, and regular coaching for teachers, which have proven effective in improving discipline and motivation.  Thus, an appropriate situational leadership strategy can foster a productive work environment and enhance the quality of education in the school. This study recommends that the principal continue to develop situational leadership skills in accordance with the needs and challenges in the field.

Abstract

This journal was written by the author to examine the factors that influence the systemic thinking paradigm in Islamic education. Furthermore, this article was written using qualitative writing methods and literature studies or Library Research. The results of this study show that paradigms, thinking and systems influence Islamic education. To improve the quality of Islamic education, the paradigm must be able to position it as the most important system component for the institution to educate the whole human being (insan kamil). There are methods of thinking and if applied in Islamic education then through these methods, whether carried out alternatively or in an integrated manner, not only can it touch on the issues of hablu min Allah and hablu min al-'alam, but will also add to the hablm min annas or problems -social issues in Islamic education. Islamic education must have a complex system so that it will make it easier for Islamic education to achieve the targets, goals, mission and vision of the Islamic education system to be able to compete with current developments in the era of globalization. Government policy has a very important influence on Islamic education. The existence of government policies is very helpful in carrying out and implementing the management function of Islamic education itself. In this way, we can achieve the goals, mission and vision of Islamic education that are valuable in the world of education.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui kemampuan literasi dalam memahami soal-soal Higher Order Thinking Skills (HOTS) serta kendala-kendala yang dialaminya pada siswa kelas V di MIN 3 Kota Mataram. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dengan jenis deskriptif. Sumber data didapat dari informan dan responden yaitu guru dan siswa di kelas V-A di MIN 3 Kota Mataram. Pengumpulan data yang digunakan yaitu: observasi, wawancara, dan dokumentasi. Pendekatan yang digunakan dalam menganalisis data mencakup penyusutan data, pengorganisasian data, dan penarikan kesimpulan. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian ini, ditemukan bahwa siswa kelas V-A di MIN 3 Kota Mataram menunjukkan kemampuan literasi yang masih tergolong rendah dalam menjawab soal HOTS, khususnya pada tingkat keterampilan analisis, evaluasi, dan penciptaan. Adapun kendala-kendala yang dialami siswa kelas V-A MIN 3 Kota Mataram dalam memahami soal-soal HOTS yaitu siswa tidak memahami materi dan kurang memahami perintah soal, hal tersebut dikarenakan penjelasan guru yang terlalu cepat, siswa kurangnya fokus belajar, dan minimnya minat membaca, sehingga menghambat pengembangan kemampuan berpikir tingkat tinggi pada siswa. Oleh sebab itu, penting bagi guru untuk lebih optimal dalam memberikan penjelasan materi beserta soal-soal HOTS dan mengembangkan variasi soal yang bertujuan melatih berpikir kritis siswa secara mandiri dan terarah.

Abstract

The Study aims to achieve the following objectives: 1. To integrate religious and cultural values into education, which can influence the character development of students in Indonesia and Malaysia; 2. To analyze forms of elaboration on Islamic religious education based on religious and cultural values that can be applied to character development in Indonesia. The research adopts a qualitative approach with a comparative study design. It was conducted in several schools in Indonesia and Malaysia that implement religious education based on religious and cultural values. Primary data were obtained through in-depth interviews with teachers, school principals, students, and parents, as well as direct observation in the schools. Secondary data were collected from curriculum documents, school annual reports, academic publications, and related literature. Data analysis was carried out using thematic analysis to identify key themes and comparative analysis to compare findings from both countries. The findings reveal that: 1. The integration of religious and cultural values in religious education in both countries plays a significant role in shaping students' character. In Indonesia, local cultural values such as mutual cooperation (gotong royong) and patriotism are integrated with Islamic religious education to create a holistic curriculum. In Malaysia, Malay cultural values are combined with Islamic teachings to impart moral and ethical values. This integration has proven effective in fostering moral and ethical character development among students in both countries. 2. The study also found that for character development, more elaborate approaches are needed, such as developing an integrated curriculum, conducting culture-based extracurricular activities, enhancing teacher competence, and utilizing technology in learning. Furthermore, the study recommends strengthening cooperation between Indonesia and Malaysia in the field of religious education to share experiences and best practices, as well as developing more flexible and contextual education policies in line with societal dynamics and contemporary developments.

Abstract

This research aims to design and reflect on development strategies and performance evaluation in Islamic education organizations at Kending Sampi primary school in Pandan village. Using a narrative qualitative method, this research explores the experiences, views and practices of educators, students and parents regarding the implementation of educational strategies in schools. Information was obtained through in-depth interviews, focus group discussions and observations. The findings show that the school is able to integrate Islamic principles into the curriculum and teaching methods, creating a supportive atmosphere. Teachers actively participate in training to improve their skills, while parental involvement is very positive. While varied ways of learning can boost student morale, the performance evaluation process should remain standardized. This study offers insights for continued progress at Kending Sampi primary school and other Islamic education institutions.

Abstract

Monitoring and coaching pattern head school for enhancement teacher performance at SDIT Fauziah Yarsi Mataram related supervision and coaching head school for enhancement teacher performance , obstacles faced head school for enhancement teacher performance . Study this is study approach qualitativetype approach phenomenology with method interview . Research results this showing that pattern supervision and coaching head school for enhancement teacher performance at SDIT Fauziah Yarsi Mataram about ability enhancement teacher performance with method supervision and guidance carried out by the head school knowing constraint head school for enhancement teacher performance in a professional manner, the need for enhancement teacher performance.

Abstract

This study examines the spiritual base of Pesantren, which is essential in building multicultural awareness. In Indonesia, Pesantren is an Islamic religious education institution emphasizing spirituality's importance. Pesantren is also closely related to various social and religious aspects. This study aims to find a spiritual base and its utilization in building multicultural awareness. This research uses a phenomenological qualitative study with data collection through observation, interviews, and documentation. The research was conducted for 1.5 years, from 2018-2019. Observations were made for a week every month. Interviews were conducted with 16 informants at site A and 13 at site B. Data analysis used a constant comparative model. From the results of the study, there are several significant findings: 1) Kiai's view of the spirituality of Islamic boarding schools related to multiculturalism is based on the monotheism of humanity; 2) Pesantrens have spiritual capital that comes from Sufistic teachings (Sufism) and interacts spirally with multiculturalism; 3) multicultural values are born from spiritual values that are grown and summarised in three categories of values, namely fundamental values, personal values , and social values; and 4) spiritual-multicultural interactions that continue to make students more multicultural competent. Multicultural awareness built through intense spirituality can birth "selfless multiculturalism"; an authentic multicultural attitude.
