Abstract

SMK Al - Aitaam and PERSIS Boarding School is a place in the field of education , which are based on Islamic education . Development of science, technology , language very rapidly at this time also encourages the two educational institutions to incorporate foreign language learning (English) curriculum or guidelines in the learning process that runs in the two institutions. But learning undertaken encountered several problems such as lack of media dynamic learning English , which is always updated, by the changing times, the lack of computer facilities and internet media that can be used by students to add to the English vocabulary . To overcome it offered a solution to support English language learning by designing learning materials covering a wide range of intergrated skills competency which can be accessed free of charge by the students and teachers in the form of a social networking application that allows students improve their English skills by using a variety of features provided , ranging mastery of reading, writing and listening.

Abstract

This study describes the educational game “The Indonesian Tribes” as a multimedia application to facilitate the learning activities for the students in kindergarten. This multimedia application is designed to help the students to recognize the several tribes and cultures in Indonesia such as the traditional clothes, houses, dances, and the gamelan musical instruments. This application is equipped with a Kinect sensor technology to detect the external trigger such as speech and gesture (motion) recognition that will encourage the students’ enthusiasm in playing and learning activities. It is in line with their characteristics who love to play and learn with their own imagination. This game education is also completed with audio-visual animations in various contents and interactive nature with a simple English description and instructions.Except where otherwise noted, content on this site is licensed under a Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 International License

Abstract

The study aims at finding the meaning of the texts or sentences in detail from the discourse semantics’ perspectives through metafunctions analysis of conjunction systems introduced by Martin and Rose (2003: 110). This study used qualitative and descriptive methods. The data used in this study is taken from the top three most shared articles by the readers in the "Opinion Forum" of the Jakarta Post in January 2019. They are entitled “Free Ba’asyir? Why now?” by the Editorial Board of Jakarta Post, “Our double standards on Jerusalem and Ba’asyir” by Kornelius Purba, and “Questioning early release of Ba'asyir” by Carrisa Tehputri. The researcher assesses the extent of utilization of conjunctions in the text by using the four kinds of logic for the conjunction types; addition, comparison, time, and consequence. Based on the analysis of conjunction systems, the article uses four logics of conjunctions both external and internal conjunctions as a logical connection between phrases, clauses, or idioms. First, the three articles used conjunctions to add the meaning of information and become a set of means for adjusting expectations are continuatives. Second, the conjunctions logic used as a comparison that expressed the meaning of similarity and contrast in order to compare or contrast arguments when countering an expectation that the authors have created for the reader. Third, the articles used the conjunctions to express the successive meaning and simultaneous meaning in order to add the information when sequencing events and looking at interconnections between processes. In short, those conjunctions are used to relate activities in sequences and to organize arguments. The last logic conjunctions used in those articles are the consequence with cause, purpose, and condition meaning in order to add the information when giving cause and effect.

Abstract

This study aims at identifying the industrys perspectives on the learners needs in order to prepare the English course materials for the Computer Engineering students. The identification done by investigating the assistant managers/managers from IT industry perspective which focused on the learners needs in term of the English course materials. This research adopted a mixed methods of explanatory design to investigate the learners needs.The sample of the study consisted of 10 assistant managers/managers from Telkom Akses Company. Then, the data were collected and generated from their perspectives answers on the questionnaires and semi-structured interviews. The results showed that the main purpose of learners to learn English was for social purposes, and the content areas should focus on IT field workers. Then, the English language to be used should only dealt with speaking and vocabulary that emphasized on the presentation in a meeting in order to develop their professional communication.

Abstract

Most residents who live in the Bojongsoang Village area, especially in RW 10 Kampung Cijagra, seek income as factory workers, freelancers, and some others sell various community needs or what is known as entrepreneurial activities. People's knowledge of bookkeeping or recording and calculations is still said to be simple, or even bookkeeping and recording are not carried out. Therefore, they do not know the number of business costs undertaken or other incoming and outgoing money used in their transaction processes. They also do not understand the calculation concept in accounting for production costs and the cost of goods manufactured. From these conditions, the Community Service (PkM) team at Telkom University provided training in cost accounting calculations. The activity aimed at the community could be helped in terms of proper entrepreneurship bookkeeping and calculating various basic costs adapted to developing accounting theory. In addition, the understanding of the difference between an entrepreneur and a trader was also provided by the PkM team so that small traders not only become sellers but also become reliable entrepreneurs. Thus, various abilities and opportunities for profit will be better.

Abstract

Penggunaan serta pemanfaatan media website oleh MTs Persis Ciganitri Kab. Bandung belum efektif, karena masih sedikit sekali konten informasi yang ada. Selain itu, kondisi saat ini untuk alamat website yang dimilikinya juga belum dapat diakses. Hal ini dikarenakan kendala seperti keterbatasan kemampuan sumber daya manusia (SDM) maupun berbagai perangkat pendukung yang masih belum dimiliki. Selain itu juga masih banyak pegawai maupun guru yang belum mampu mengelola website sehingga informasi yang dapat dimuat di dalam website masih sangat terbatas, serta kurangnya kerjasama antara pihak pengelola website dengan madrasah. Tujuan dari pelaksanaan Pengabdian kepada Masyarakar (PkM) Kolaborasi Internal Universitas Telkom adalah memberikan pendampingan terkait dalam hal pembuatan (perancangan) serta pengembangan konten di website resmi (official). Hal tersebut sebagai upaya untuk meningkatkan efektifitas penyebaran informasi kegiatan di MTs Persis Ciganitri Kab. Bandung. Adapun metode dan tahapan pelaksanaan kegiatan PkM) ini terdiri dari studi pendahuluan, pelaksanaan dan evaluasi. Tim pelaksana PkM membuatkan website resmi (official website) dengan alamat mtspersisciganitri.sch.id. Kemudian tim pelaksana PkM juga mengembangkan menu tampilan yang dimunculkan di web, seperti profil madrasah, kontak madrasah, blog yang berisi informasi serta pengumuman berita lainnya serta galeri atau dokumentasi kegiatan madrasah. Selain itu tim pelaksana juga memberikan pelatihan (workshop) perancangan atau pembuatan website resmi bagi para operator atau admin serta bagi para guru dan karyawan terkait pengembangan konten. Berdasarkan hasil evaluasi yang dilakukan, kegiatan ini sangat bermanfaat dalam rangka dalam penyebaran informasi madrasah. Hal tersebut juga sangat sejalan dengan keinginan serta kebutuhan dari pihak madrasah untuk dapat memanfaatkan perkembangan teknologi dan internet dalam mendukung semua kegiatan di lingkungan madrasah

Abstract

Angket Kebutuhan Peserta Didik (AKPD) merupakan salah satu angket yang digunakan oleh guru bimbingan konseling sebagai metode atau system untuk melakukan identifikasi terhadap permasalahan yang dialami oleh siswa tahun pertama tingkat sekolah menengah pertama. Permasalahan ini dibagi kedalam empat kategori, diantaranya yaitu Pribadi, Sosial, Belajar dan Karier. SMP Negeri 21 Bandung merupakan sekolah yang menggunakan AKPD sebagai sistem pengidentifikasi permasalahan siswa. Dalam menggunakan sistem AKPD saat ini terdapat beberapa kendala, diantaranya yaitu tingginya resiko kehilangan dan kerusakan data karena pelaksanaan pengisian angket masih menggunakan kertas, pemeriksaan angket yang membutuhkan waktu lama karena guru bimbingan konseling harus memasukkan satu per satu jawaban siswa kedalam Ms. Excel yang digunakan sebagai alat bantu pengolahan angket yang juga mempengaruhi lamanya waktu yang dibutuhkan untuk membuat dokumen laporan hasil akpd. Maka dari itu dibangunlah "Aplikasi Pengidentifikasian Permasalahan Siswa Berbasis Web" yang dapat memfasilitasi siswa dan guru dalam melaksanakan pengidentifikasian permasalahan siswa. Aplikasi ini dibangun dengan menggunakan bahasa pemrograman PHP dengan framework codeigniter serta database MySQL. Metode yang digunakan dalam pembangunan aplikasi ini yaitu metodologi Waterfall. Aplikasi ini hanya digunakan di SMPN 21 Bandung. Berdasarkan hasil pengujian aplikasi yang telah dilaksanakan, aplikasi dapat membantu SMPN 21 Bandung dalam melakukan pengidentifikasian permasalahan siswa. Abstract

Perkembangan informasi yang terus meningkat serta kebutuhan akan informasi harus tepat waktu dan cepat akan mempengaruhi laju perkembangan usaha, baik kebutuhan informasi dari sisi manajemen maupun sisi operasional. Seperti yang dihadapi oleh Greens Production Bandung. Sistem penjualan produk masih terbilang kurang tertinggal dengan kemajuan teknologi sekarang, Seperti sulitnya konsumen untuk mengetahui detail harga produk yang diinginkan dan sulitnya pemesanan produk konveksi yang sering terjadi kesalahan dimana format pemesanannya tidak sesuai serta media promosi yang cakupan nya masih kecil menyebabkan Greens Production Bandung kurang dikenal oleh banyak konsumen. Maka tujuan dilakukan penelitian ini adalah untuk merancang sebuah sistem informasi pemesanan produk konveksi berbasis web dimana dapat memudahkan untuk konsumen melakukan pemesanan produk melalui website dengan format yang benar, mengetahui detail informasi harga produk dan memperluas jangkauan konsumen agar produk dapat dikenal oleh banyak konsumen. Dalam pembuatan aplikasi ini menggunakan metode Systems Development Life Cycle dengan model Waterfall, bahasa pemrograman yang digunakan ialah PHP dan HTML dengan Framework Codeigniter. Harapan nya dengan adanya sistem informasi website ini dapat menambah keuntungan penjualan di Greens Production Bandung. Kata kunci : Konveksi, Pemesanan, Website

Abstract

Aplikasi Sistem Pengelolaan Data Kepegawaian adalah sebuah aplikasi yang berfungsi untuk mengelola data kepegawaian. Penelitian ini dimaksudkan untuk membangun sebuah aplikasi sistem kepegawaian yang dapat menangani data kepegawaian yang kompleks dan berjumlah besar. Aplikasi yang dihasilkan dapat digunakan untuk mengelola data-data kepegawaian yaitu data Administrasi Kepegawaian seluruh pegawai, pengontrolan kenaikan pangkat pegawai, pengontrolan kenaikan gaji berkala, pengontrolan mutasi dan pengontrolan pensiun. Metode yang digunakan untuk membangun aplikasi adalah metode waterfall dengan framework codeigniter, tools perancangan Unified Modelling Language, serta pengujian aplikasi black box testing dan User Acceptance Test. Berdasarkan penelitian Proyek Akhir ini, diharapkan nantinya data-data pegawai dapat berintegrasi yang memudahkan pekerjaan dan dapat mengatasi masalah-masalah yang ada dalam proses pengolahan data pegawai dan mempercepat pencarian informasi yang dibutuhkan. Abstract

The study below examines the development of students' critical and creative thinking abilities through the use of article reviews and the Problem Based Learning instructional approach. This study is qualitative and was conducted utilizing library research, specifically library research that used data grouping methods. It was then completed by examining and studying numerous pertinent research publications and papers. utilizing analytical methods for gathering, combining, and recognizing secondary data from numerous pertinent investigations. The adoption of the Problem Based Learning learning paradigm itself can boost students' capacity for creative thought, according to the study's findings. The findings of research done using library resources revealed that students' capacities for creative thought had improved, with outcomes moving into the medium category. In this study, four factors—fluency, flexibility, originality, and elaboration—were also linked to an improvement in students' capacity for creative thought. It follows that the application of the learning paradigm that Problem Based Learning is capable of improving students' creative thinking skills.
