Abstract

Bullying is a problem that often occurs in schools. Facts show that students who often carry out bullying come from less harmonious family backgrounds. This is urgent to research with the aim of analyzing the relationship between family conflict and the stages of bullying in male students in middle school. Quantitative research method. The subjects were students with a population of 450 people and only 76 students had bullying tendencies. These 76 students were selected as samples in this study. Data collection techniques using instruments. Question instrument to investigate the Bullying Behavior Stage. Family Conflict Violence Investigation is used to measure students' stages of family conflict. Measurement with a Likert scale of 1-5. Descriptive statistical analysis techniques and inference statistics (Pearson correlation test). The results and findings show that the level of bullying among male students tends to be at a low level (2.52). A significant relationship was found between family conflict and stages of bullying. It was found that the frequency of conflict was minimal for the type of sibling conflict within students at school and the most frequent conflict was between parents and students. The findings show that family conflict factors need to receive serious attention and be taken into account in designing intervention programs to prevent the bullying phenomenon from becoming more serious in schools.

Abstract

In the 21st century, teacher education is required to look for new ways to improve the quality of mathematics teachers. However, the facts seen from the PISA test show that the achievement of Indonesian students is always low. Additionally, the OECD reports that only 1% of students in Indonesia are able to answer questions at a low level. The research aims to identify and find out what teacher educators face in preparing mathematics teachers with 4C skills and knowing solutions to 4C difficulties. The research method is a qualitative exploratory case study with a single case study design. The subjects were teachers at schools and prospective teachers at universities. Data collection techniques using documents and interviews. Ten prospective teachers from a university perspective and ten in-service teachers from a school perspective. The data analysis technique uses the constant comparative analysis method. The research results found five common challenges: lack of learning ability and motivation among prospective teachers, pedagogical challenges, lack of capacity and conceptual understanding of 4C skills among teacher educators, lack of supporting programs and facilities, and political challenges. Another finding is that teacher capacity is the two main concerns; universities must implement new, dynamic learning systems to equip mathematics teacher graduates with resources that teach 4C skills innovatively.

Abstract

Pesantren Al-Ittihad Cianjur menghadapi tantangan besar dalam adaptasi teknologi digital tanpa meninggalkan nilai-nilai etika Islam yang menjadi dasar pendidikan. Program pengabdian masyarakat ini mengembangkan platform e-learning berbasis web untuk menanamkan etika komunikasi digital kepada santri. Langkah-langkah program meliputi identifikasi kebutuhan, pengembangan platform interaktif berbasis nilai Islam, pelatihan intensif bagi santri dan pengajar, serta evaluasi keberhasilan program melalui survei dan wawancara. Hasil program menunjukkan peningkatan pemahaman santri hingga 85% mengenai etika komunikasi digital. Program ini memberikan kontribusi signifikan dalam pengembangan model pendidikan digital berbasis Islam, yang dapat diadopsi oleh pesantren lain.

Abstract

The city of Bandung has implemented the Smart City concept as part of efforts to improve the quality of life and efficiency of community administration. However, public transportation in the city of Bandung still has several problems, including reduced use of city transportation due to the increase in crime on public transportation, lack of information regarding public transportation lines and routes, and erratic departure times. To overcome this problem, community service activities were carried out in the form of developing an IoT-based public transportation search application using BLE. This application provides an emergency call feature to deal with crime in public transportation and ensure passenger safety, helping passengers track the location of public transportation more easily so that it will provide information such as public transportation routes and public transportation departure times. Based on the evaluation results from KOBUTRI representatives, it can be concluded that in general this community service program has had a positive impact on all participants. Several suggestions and input also emerged from filling out the questionnaire, including: equipped with tariffs, the payment system can use e-money cards, and hopefully this program and its application can run in 2024. With the successful development of an IoT-based public transport search application in the city Bandung, an important step has been taken to overcome public transportation problems. This application is expected to improve administrative efficiency and people's quality of life through public transport innovation.

Abstract

In English as a foreign language (EFL) learning, the use of technology in the teaching and learning process is increasingly gaining attention but has minimal implementation. ClassDojo has emerged as a promising tool in Platform 5.0 to improve communication between teachers and students. This is urgent to be studied because of the differences in opinion between the theory and the findings of previous researchers. This study aims to analyze the effectiveness of ClassDojo in improving EFL students' writing performance and understanding their perceptions of the use of this technology. The research method used was a quasi-experimental with a pre-test and post-test design, involving 325 students from 10 junior high schools in Bandung as samples. Data were collected through direct observation techniques, tests, and interviews. Data analysis was carried out by comparing the results of the pre-test and post-test between the experimental group using ClassDojo and the control group using SPSS version 29. The results showed a significant increase in the writing ability of students who received feedback through ClassDojo, including aspects of task achievement, coherence, lexical resources, and grammatical accuracy. These findings indicate that the use of ClassDojo is not only effective in improving academic outcomes but also increasing student engagement in EFL language and writing learning. The implications of this study encourage educational stakeholders to adopt technology-based pedagogical innovations in the learning process. Suggestions, apply more holistically about students' learning experiences using technology in EFL contexts.

Abstract

Transformasi pembelajaran di era digital menjadi kebutuhan yang mendesak, terutama bagi institusi pendidikan vokasi seperti SMK Plus Al Aitaam Bandung. Pengabdian masyarakat ini bertujuan mengembangkan aplikasi edukasi berbasis teknologi yang mampu meningkatkan kualitas pembelajaran dan kesiapan siswa menghadapi dunia kerja. Metode yang digunakan mencakup analisis kebutuhan, perancangan prototipe aplikasi, pengujian, pelatihan, implementasi, hingga evaluasi dampak. Aplikasi dikembangkan secara partisipatif dan mengintegrasikan fitur interaktif seperti video pembelajaran, kuis, simulasi, serta forum diskusi. Hasil pelaksanaan menunjukkan bahwa 95% peserta menyatakan puas terhadap kegiatan ini. Aplikasi terbukti efektif dalam meningkatkan motivasi belajar, pemahaman konsep, dan keterampilan digital siswa. Artikel ini memberikan kontribusi dalam pengembangan model pembelajaran berbasis teknologi yang relevan bagi pendidikan vokasional. Implikasi hasil ini diharapkan dapat mendorong adopsi teknologi yang lebih luas di sekolah-sekolah dengan karakteristik serupa.

Abstract

Several obstacles occur on the part of the Counseling Guidance teacher at SMK Plus Al Aitaam Bandung. This factor happens because there is still a lack of knowledge from guidance counselors regarding materials on students' interests, talents, and information and knowledge about the various types of majors in tertiary institutions. Teachers still feel confused when dealing with students who need direction regarding their interests and talents. Especially when the students choose a major or related career description in work and business. Also, they could not use the test tool can be used to identify the interests and talents of these students. The purpose of this Community Service activity is to assist in the form of self-motivated training (workshop) in designing further studies and careers after graduation for class XII students. The measurement of their interests and talents uses a web-based online career test. The results of the implementation of the mentoring activities were considered very good by the partners. This web-based online interest test helps solve student problems. So that they feel that the activity material is following their needs. In addition, they can also identify interests and talents in determining the next step after graduation.

Abstract

This community service activity was carried out to respond to the decline in public interest in public transportation due to concerns about crime, limited route information and uncertainty about departure times. In addition, income inequality between transportation owners and drivers also exacerbates the problem of clarity of information. This activity focuses on applying Internet of Things (IoT) technology to overcome these problems by developing a location search application for prospective public transport passengers. This application utilizes Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE) devices as an IoT technology. BLE devices are installed on public transport vehicles to enable real-time location tracking. BLE technology was chosen because of its low energy consumption, adequate communication range, and ability to interact with users' mobile devices. Users' information collected by BLE devices is sent to a central server, which then processes and presents the data to users via a mobile application. The main objective of this activity is to develop and evaluate IoT-based applications. The methodology includes descriptive and qualitative approaches, with data collection techniques through observation, interviews and documentation studies. The results of implementing IoT technology in location search applications show significant benefits. This application increases the efficiency of public transport management by providing real-time information regarding routes and departure schedules. Additionally, customer satisfaction increases as passengers can better plan their trips. The app's "Emergency Call" feature also "helps reduce crime-related concerns and improves passenger safety. The app also provides easily accessible route information and transparency regarding drivers' daily earnings, helping minimize income inequality.

Abstract

Boosting Student Engagement Through Project-Based Learning with Attention, Relevance, Confidence, and Satisfaction Motivational Design Process. Objectives: This research aims to boost the students' writing ability and motivation by changing the teaching methods from classical (lectures and discussions) towards student activity. Methods: The method used in this study was the Project-Based Learning (PJBL) model with Attention, Relevance, Confidence, and Satisfaction (ARCS) motivational design. The case study used observation, questionnaires, and interviews in two stages of [A1] [p2] data collection for a English course class, namely English for Art and Design in the Visual Communication Design Study Program. The case study conducted from the beginning to the end of learning was carried out for one semester. Findings: By implementing the Project-Based learning method with ARCS motivational design, it is found that student motivation in the Attention, Relevance, and Satisfaction aspects is at a high level. Meanwhile, the Confidence aspect remains neutral in stages I and II. Abstract

Penggunaan serta pemanfaatan media website oleh MTs Persis Ciganitri Kab. Bandung belum efektif, karena masih sedikit sekali konten informasi yang ada. Selain itu, kondisi saat ini untuk alamat website yang dimilikinya juga belum dapat diakses. Hal ini dikarenakan kendala seperti keterbatasan kemampuan sumber daya manusia (SDM) maupun berbagai perangkat pendukung yang masih belum dimiliki. Selain itu juga masih banyak pegawai maupun guru yang belum mampu mengelola website sehingga informasi yang dapat dimuat di dalam website masih sangat terbatas, serta kurangnya kerjasama antara pihak pengelola website dengan madrasah. Tujuan dari pelaksanaan Pengabdian kepada Masyarakar (PkM) Kolaborasi Internal Universitas Telkom adalah memberikan pendampingan terkait dalam hal pembuatan (perancangan) serta pengembangan konten di website resmi (official). Hal tersebut sebagai upaya untuk meningkatkan efektifitas penyebaran informasi kegiatan di MTs Persis Ciganitri Kab. Bandung. Adapun metode dan tahapan pelaksanaan kegiatan PkM) ini terdiri dari studi pendahuluan, pelaksanaan dan evaluasi. Tim pelaksana PkM membuatkan website resmi (official website) dengan alamat mtspersisciganitri.sch.id. Kemudian tim pelaksana PkM juga mengembangkan menu tampilan yang dimunculkan di web, seperti profil madrasah, kontak madrasah, blog yang berisi informasi serta pengumuman berita lainnya serta galeri atau dokumentasi kegiatan madrasah. Selain itu tim pelaksana juga memberikan pelatihan (workshop) perancangan atau pembuatan website resmi bagi para operator atau admin serta bagi para guru dan karyawan terkait pengembangan konten. Berdasarkan hasil evaluasi yang dilakukan, kegiatan ini sangat bermanfaat dalam rangka dalam penyebaran informasi madrasah. Hal tersebut juga sangat sejalan dengan keinginan serta kebutuhan dari pihak madrasah untuk dapat memanfaatkan perkembangan teknologi dan internet dalam mendukung semua kegiatan di lingkungan madrasah
