Abstract

English Camp merupakan kegiatan yang bertujuan untuk menciptakan proses kegiatan belajar mahasiswa di luar kelas, di mana mahasiswa bisa meluangkan beberapa waktu mereka untuk untuk belajar Bahasa Inggris terutama dalam bidang tata bahasa bersama dengan mahasiswa lainnya yang berasal dari berbagai program studi dan fakultas. Selain belajar Bahasa Inggris, English Camp juga bisa dijadikan wadah untuk menyalurkan minat dan bakat mahasiswa dalam bidang kesenian. Sasaran pengabdian ini adalah mahasiswa semester 1 dari semua fakultas di IAIN Manado. Kegiatan berlangsung sejak tanggal 15 Oktober 2021 sampai dengan 17 Oktober 2021 dan dilaksanakan sekali setiap tahun. Adapun tahapan kegiatan yaitu persiapan, sosialisasi, pelaksanaan dan evaluasi. Persiapan dilakukan dengan pengajuan surat pemberitahuan kegiatan kepada pihak kampus, persiapan alat yang dapat menujang kegiatan, serta persipan tempat untuk pelaksanaan kegiatan. Sosialisasi kegiatan dilakukan secara online dengan menyebarkan pamflet dan juga secara langsung di setiap kelas. Pelaksanaan kegiatan meliputi pembukaan dan pelepasan, games, pertunjukkan minat dan bakat, serta penutupan. Hasil kegiatan adalah terlaksannya kegiatan English Camp guna meningkatkan kemampuan tata Bahasa Inggris dan keterampilan Seni Budaya mahasiswa IAIN Manado dengan baik. Pelaksana kegiatan adalah tim pengabdian Dosen dan HMPS TBI.

Abstract

Kegiatan ini bertujuan untuk membantu pihak MTs/SMP kota Bitung dalam hal peningkatan penguasaan Bahasa Inggris bagi guru dan karyawan. Selain itu, kegiatan ini juga bermanfaat untuk menambah wawasan strategi menjawab soal Bahasa Inggris berbasis TOEFL. Kegiatan ini berlangsung selama dua minggu dari tanggal 10 sampai 24 Juni 2021 dan tidak mengganggu kegiatan PBM di sekolah tersebut. Peserta Ujian berjumlah 20 orang yang terdiri dari guru mata pelajaran dan karyawan bidang akademik Kegiatan berlangsung dengan lancar dengan adanya kerjasama antara pihak sekolah yang memberikan dukungan dalam beragam bentuk kepada tim PKM. Demmikian pula antusias para peserta pelatihan dari awal hingga akhir sangat membantu keberhasilan kegiatan PKM. Keberhasilan juga dapat dilihat dari tercapainya indikator yang telah ditetapkan.

Abstract

Artikel ini membahas tentang Pengembangan Karakter Islami Siswa Muslim di SMAN 7 Melalui Pendidikan Agama Islam. Pendidikan agama Islam dalam membentuk karakter muslim di sekolah memiliki peran penting. Materi pendidikan agama Islam di sekolah menjadi pilar untuk membangun karakter dan jiwa anak. Kajian Islam melalui kajian Al-Qur'an dan hadits menjadi salah satu penunjang untuk mewujudkan aqidah sebagai landasan pedoman hidup, pengajaran fiqh sebagai rambu-rambu hukum ibadah. Sejarah Islam sebagai teladan hidup dan aqidah akhlak sebagai pedoman perilaku remaja. Melalui kegiatan ini, karakter siswa di SMAN 7 Kota Manado diharapkan menjadi karakter muslim yang utuh yang menjalankan aktivitas sehari-hari berdasarkan Al-Qur'an dan hadits, serta memberikan keteladanan yang baik dalam interaksi sehari-hari.

Abstract

Pengabdian ini bertujuan untuk memberikan pendampingan mengenai fiqih wanita yakni berkenaan dengan masalah haid kepada Remaja Masjid Di Desa Sea I, Kec. Pineleng, Kabupaten Minahasa, Sulawesi Utara. Pada tahap awal, tim melakukan observasi di lokasi pengabdian dan mewawancarai Imam Mesjid, Ketua Majelis Taklim, dan Ketua Remaja Mesjid guna mencari informasi terkait pemahaman tentang fiqih wanita Remaja masjid yang menjadi sasaran. Kemudian tim menyusun rancangan kegiatan selama 7 kali pertemuan sesuai dengan 7 topik materi untuk program pendampingan. Kegiatan penyampaian materi dilakukan dengan metode ceramah dan dialog interaktif. Pada akhir kegiatan, dilakukan evaluasi untuk mengukur sejauh mana pemahaman peserta mengenai materi fiqih materi (Haid). Melalui kegiatan ini, diharapkan remaja muslim Di Desa Sea I, Kec. Pineleng, Kabupaten Minahasa, Sulawesi Utara memahami betul apa yang boleh dan tidak boleh dilakukan dimasa haid, serta tata cara bersuci dari haid sesuai dengan syariat ajaran Islam.

Abstract

This research aimed to determine whether there is a correlation between students’ vocabulary mastery and their speaking skills. The subjects were 40 students from eleventh-grade students (XI MIPA 2) of MAN Model 1 Manado. The design that was applied in this research was the quantitative method. The data gained in this research by giving the students speaking and vocabulary test then analyzed using the Pearson product-moment correlation formula. Based on the finding of the analysis and calculation, it was found that the rxy was 0,799. Referring to the table of product-moment interpretation, it was in the interval of 0,70 - 0,90, which means that variables X and Y stated a high correlation. According to the significance table, the degree of freedom (df = N-nr) is 38, the significance level 5% is 0,320, and 1% is 0,413. Comparing the values showed that rxy is bigger than rt (0,320<0,799>0,413). It means there is a significant correlation between vocabulary mastery and speaking skills, which proves that students’ vocabulary mastery increases in line with their speaking skills.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze: (1) the implementation of the nature contemplation method at SD Inpres 15 Wamega, Raja Ampat Regency, (2) the effectiveness of the nature contemplation method in improving learning achievement in Islamic Religious Education, and (3) supporting and inhibiting factors in the implementation of the nature contemplation method. This study uses a qualitative approach with a phenomenological research type. Data collection was carried out through observation, interviews, and documentation, with data analysis using descriptive techniques and data validity through source triangulation. The results of the study indicate that: (1) The implementation of the nature contemplation method was carried out by inviting students to observe the surrounding nature to analyze learning materials in a pleasant atmosphere. (2) The nature contemplation method is effective in improving student learning achievement in Islamic Religious Education subjects, as indicated by an increase in student understanding and evaluation scores. (3) Supporting factors include Wamega's strategic natural conditions, teacher support, and parental cooperation, while inhibiting factors include teacher professionalism, teacher educational qualifications, and unpredictable weather conditions. The implication of this study is the need for school policies in developing a local curriculum based on nature contemplation to improve student learning achievement.

Abstract

This study investigates the pedagogical effectiveness of the Make-a-Match cooperative learning technique in enhancing English speaking proficiency among tenth-grade students at SMK Negeri 7 Watampone, Indonesia. The research addresses persistent instructional challenges in EFL classrooms, such as speaking anxiety, limited vocabulary, and low student confidence. Employing a one-group pretest-posttest pre-experimental design, the study measures improvements in accuracy, fluency, and comprehensibility using CEFR-aligned performance-based assessments. Findings reveal statistically significant gains in all speaking components, with the greatest improvement in comprehensibility. These outcomes validate Make-a-Match as a student-centered, interactive pedagogical approach that fosters active engagement, peer collaboration, and contextual language use. Moreover, the study underscores the alignment of this technique with Kurikulum Merdeka and 21st-century educational goals, reinforcing its value in vocational education where communicative competence is vital for employability. It also contributes to the broader discourse on innovative learning strategies by highlighting Make-a-Match as a sustainable instructional model that enhances not only language proficiency but also students' psychological readiness and social interaction skills. The findings offer practical insights for educators, curriculum designers, and policy stakeholders aiming to improve the quality and inclusivity of language education.
