Abstract

In Indonesia, there are already many established companies. Starting from a more focused industry/manufacturing, services, and trade. Many companies are starting to look for ways to increase the company's profits. The manufacturing industry sector itself certainly spends a lot on production. Therefore, the company is looking for a method that can minimize production costs. The purpose of this study is to minimize production costs. The method used is the aggregate chase strategy method. The results showed that planning using the aggregate chase strategy method can minimize production costs. After comparing the company's total production cost in 2020 amounted to Rp. 8,952,896,124 with the results of planning using the aggregate method of chase strategy in 2021 amounting to Rp. 8,428,458,444, obtained a gap of Rp. 524,437,680. By planning production costs using the aggregate method, the company can reduce the amount of labor and utilize the amount of labor available as much as possible without incurring workers' overtime costs. Then the company can save on production costs.

Abstract

Quality control is essential to ensure that products meet predetermined specifications and align with company policies. Based on PT XYZ’s production report from December 2023, the number of defective products requiring repairs was notably high, reaching 17.3% of the total 98,852 gas cylinders produced within 19 days. This study aims to evaluate the quality control performance and identify the factors influencing it. The Six Sigma DMAIC method was applied to assess performance. At the measurement stage, the Defects Per Million Opportunities (DPMO) was found to be 44,743, corresponding to a sigma value 3.203. The study identified four key factors contributing to production defects: machinery, materials, personnel, and methods. Although the company's quality control efficiency is deemed satisfactory, it has yet to prevent a significant sales decline of 20-40%. Therefore, implementing Six Sigma analysis is expected to uncover processes that can reduce manufacturing defects in 3 kg LPG cylinder production. By addressing these issues, the company can improve product quality, maintain customer satisfaction, and enhance competitiveness in the market.

Abstract

Penelitian ini mendiskusikan menggali dialektika estetika budaya tutur Nusantara pada kelas studio documenter dalam pengembangan kurikulum prodi FTV UPI 2021. Kekayaan budaya tutur Nusantara merupakan khasanah kekayaan keilmuan yang berkaitan dengan visi dan misi program studi Film dan televise FPSD Universitas Pendidikan Indonesia. Dimana hal ini telah diimplementasikan ke dalam kurikulum yang terwujud dalam beberapa perkuliahan yang seharusnya saling mendukung terutama film dokumenter yang dapat mengakomodasi kekayaan ini. Permasalahan dalam penelitian ini adalah untuk melihat apakah konsep budaya tutur nusantara secara efektif telah terwujud dalam karya studio film dokumenter, dan apakah diperlukan metode khusus bagi pengajar di prodi film dan televisi. Metode kualitatif digunakan untuk menggali keterkaitan matakuliah sehingga dapat ditemukan formulasi pengajaran yang efektif untuk mata kuliah yang akan dilakukan disemester selanjutnya. Penelitian ini menemukan 1) beberapa matakuliah yang dilaksanakan pada semester genap menjadi penompang utama sebagai landasan memperkuat penggalian budaya tutur nusantara di mata kuliah studio dokumenter. Hal ini dilihat dari karya-karya studio dokumenter telah merepresentasikan khasanah budaya nusantara, 2) adanya matakuliah metodologi penelitian yang disinergikan dengan kelas studio dokumenter menjadi pengetahuan untuk mengumpulkan seluruh data penelitian. Namun keadaan yang baik ini tetap harus dievaluasi untuk semester selanjutnya guna mewujudkan visi dan misi prodi FTV, terutama penguatan pada sumber daya manusia dengan cara pertukaran dosen. Implikasi penelitian ini akan menjadi evaluasi bagi kesempurnaan kurikulum film dan televisi dan juga dapat menjadi role model pengajaran studi film documenter bagi program studi film di Indonesia.

Abstract

Peningkatan kualitas pelayanan kesehatan primer di daerah pedesaan masih menjadi tantangan, khususnya dalam diagnosis penyakit kulit yang membutuhkan waktu dan keahlian spesifik. Pengabdian kepada masyarakat ini bertujuan untuk mengembangkan dan mengimplementasikan sistem klasifikasi penyakit kulit berbasis analisis citra menggunakan algoritma YOLOv8 serta sistem pakar gejala yang terintegrasi dalam antarmuka web. Sistem ini diterapkan di Puskesmas Desa Kendaljaya, Kecamatan Pedes, Kabupaten Karawang, untuk mendukung efisiensi tenaga medis dan meningkatkan akses masyarakat terhadap diagnosis awal penyakit kulit. Metode yang digunakan meliputi pendekatan riset terapan kolaboratif, pelatihan model dengan dataset terbuka, integrasi antarmuka web, serta pelibatan pengguna dalam uji coba langsung. Evaluasi dilakukan secara kuantitatif dan kualitatif melalui kuisioner, observasi penggunaan sistem, dan wawancara mendalam. Hasil implementasi menunjukkan bahwa sistem mampu mengklasifikasikan lebih dari 30 jenis penyakit kulit dengan akurasi tinggi, serta meningkatkan efisiensi layanan dengan waktu diagnosis yang lebih singkat. Masyarakat juga menunjukkan antusiasme tinggi dalam penggunaan sistem, terutama generasi muda. Kegiatan ini memberikan kontribusi signifikan terhadap peningkatan literasi digital masyarakat dan penguatan pemanfaatan teknologi cerdas dalam pelayanan kesehatan primer. Sistem yang dikembangkan berpotensi untuk direplikasi pada layanan kesehatan lainnya, terutama di wilayah dengan keterbatasan tenaga medis.

Abstract

This service is a support activity for exchange students program “pertukaran Mahasiswa Merdeka” (PMM) from various provinces through environmental campaigns using artistic video content to deal with the impact of infrastructure development and accessibility that affects changes in airflow and heat distribution. This environmental impact is the main focus for independent exchange student participants in realizing social contribution programs through reforestation activities in desa Pasir Biru Rancakalong Sumedang.  Through this reforestation program, we aim to increase environmental awareness, educate the public about the importance of protecting ecosystems, and reduce the impact of climate change resulting from National Infrastructure Development. So it is hoped that environmental campaigns through documentary films can inspire and motivate the wider community to participate in environmental conservation efforts. The research method uses a Base Research Design based on Documentary Film Production in the Reforesting Program involving research targets and community service targets  student of the Pertukaran Mahasiswa Merdeka (PMM) programs as the development of aesthetic skills in creating documentary films, service partners from the Department of Environment and Forestry (DLHK) , plant seed cultivation entrepreneurs, village governance, and all elements of society. The output of this service is in the form of a sustainable impact felt by the community and a documentary film from the development of artistic production design through video content to elaborate the brand image of the Kampus Merdeka Program in the environmental and temperature revitalization campaign in the area.

Abstract

UMKM Opak Ketan Cibuaya merupakan usaha pangan tradisional masyarakat yang telah dijalankan secara turun-temurun di Desa Pejaten, Kecamatan Cibuaya, Kabupaten Karawang, dan dikenal sebagai sentra produksi “Gang Opak”. Permasalahan utama yang dihadapi mitra meliputi proses produksi yang masih dilakukan secara manual, tingkat efisiensi kerja yang rendah, serta belum diterapkannya sistem manajemen usaha berbasis data untuk mendukung pengambilan keputusan. Kegiatan Pengabdian kepada Masyarakat (PkM) ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan efisiensi proses produksi dan memperkuat pengelolaan usaha melalui penerapan prinsip efisiensi kerja, ergonomi, dan manajemen pencatatan sederhana. Metode pelaksanaan kegiatan meliputi observasi dan pemetaan proses produksi, pengumpulan data waktu siklus, pelatihan prinsip efisiensi dan 5R, serta perancangan dan implementasi alat bantu pencetak opak ketan berbasis ergonomi. Hasil pelaksanaan menunjukkan bahwa penerapan alat bantu ergonomis dan sistem pencatatan harian mampu menurunkan tingkat kelelahan kerja hingga sekitar 30%, mempercepat waktu proses produksi sebesar 20–25%, serta meningkatkan keteraturan dan konsistensi pencatatan produksi hingga lebih dari 90%. Selain itu, kegiatan ini meningkatkan pemahaman dan kesadaran mitra terhadap pentingnya manajemen usaha berbasis data sebagai dasar perencanaan dan evaluasi produksi. Implikasi dari kegiatan PkM ini dirasakan secara langsung oleh masyarakat sasaran melalui meningkatnya efisiensi kerja, berkurangnya beban fisik pekerja, serta menguatnya partisipasi dan kerja sama antaranggota kelompok pengrajin. Secara keseluruhan, pendekatan yang diterapkan terbukti efektif dalam memperkuat kapasitas produksi dan daya saing UMKM pangan tradisional secara berkelanjutan.

Abstract

  PT BCD is a company engaged in the manufacturing sector, specifically in the manufacture of packaging made from cardboard. In the production process, there is cardboard cutting using a cutting machine to cut cardboard with predetermined quality standards such as producing products that are not defective or Not Good (NG) products. The presence of NG products in January. With this problem, it is necessary to identify the slitter machine by applying the FMEA method to identify the problems that occur. The purpose of the study is to carry out quality control to reduce the occurrence of NG products produced by the slitter machine. In January, it was found that there were 528 NG products. Researchers used Failure Mode and Effects Analysis to find the root cause of the problem. The variables contained in the RPN are Severity, Occurrence, Detection. Judging from the Failure Mode and Effects Analysis (FMEA) method approach, the cause of the occurrence of Not Good (NG) products is the result of untidy cutting according to the highest RPN value with a value of 224, namely a blunt knife. Abstract

This study aims to describe the pedagogical process of contrabass instruction in the Music Education program through the use of Édouard Nanny’s études and to analyze the development of students’ technical and musical skills following the instructional process. The research employed a qualitative approach using a case study method. The participants were students from the Music Education program at Universitas Pendidikan Indonesia (UPI), selected through purposive sampling. Data were collected through participant observation, in-depth interviews with students and lecturers, and document analysis, including sheet music and learning notes. The data were analyzed using the interactive model of Miles and Huberman, which consists of data reduction, data display, and conclusion drawing and verification. The findings indicate that Édouard Nanny’s études effectively enhance students’ fundamental contrabass techniques, particularly in bowing, fingering, and shifting. In addition, these études contribute to the development of students’ musical abilities, including dynamics, articulation, and phrasing. Students reported feeling both challenged and motivated to practice consistently due to the progressive structure of the études. Overall, the results suggest that Édouard Nanny’s method can serve as an effective pedagogical approach for contrabass instruction in higher education. The études not only support the mastery of fundamental techniques but also promote the development of more advanced musical skills. Future research may explore how Édouard Nanny’s études can be pedagogically adapted within Indonesian higher music education, particularly in response to existing instructional and curricular challenges.

Abstract

The high rate of product defects (rejects) in the production process directly impacts the efficiency of PT Z, a company engaged in the production of Bottled Drinking Water (AMDK). PT Z encountered a reject rate of preform material reaching 4.07% in July 2023, equivalent to 352,875 defective units out of a total of 8,674,644 units produced. This study aims to reduce the reject rate of preform material by implementing the Six Sigma method using the DMAIC approach (Define, Measure, Analyze, Improve, and Control). The analysis was conducted using Pareto and fishbone diagrams to identify the root causes of defects, which include human, machine, and material factors. The results showed a decrease in DPMO from 194,927.79 to 46,803.66, an increase in Sigma Level from 2.52 to 3.23, and a reduction in the reject rate from 4.07% to 1.17%. These findings confirm that the Six Sigma approach is effective in identifying defect causes and significantly improving production process quality in the bottled water industry.
