Abstract

Masyarakat Indonesia yang majemuk menuntut untuk menerapkan sikap yang toleran. Akan tetapi, menjadi sebuah paradoks di tengah masyarakat Indonesia yang beragam, timbulnya sikap intoleran, radikalisme dan ektrimisme terutama yang menyasar kalangan generasi milenial begitu memprihatinkan, untuk itu perlu dibangun pemahaman yang moderat. Dari latar belakang tersebut, peneliti tertarik untuk meneliti bagaimana moderasi beragama berbasis sosio kultural pada generasi milenial desa Balun Kecamatan Turi Kabupaten Lamongan. Peneliti menggunakan metode kualitatif lapangan dengan pendekatan fenomenologi., Moderasi beragama di desa Balun terjadi dalam aspek sosial kultural masyarakat, seperti mengikuti kegiatan sosial, keagamaan, kepemudaan, peringatan hari besar nasional, pernikahan, namum dengan tetap memperhatikan batasan dari toleransi. Organisasi karang taruna menjadi wadah interaksi pemuda lintas agama. Toleransi beragama generasi milenial desa Balun tidak lepas dari peran pendidikan dalam keluarga yang secara turun temurun ditanamkan oleh orang tua mereka.

Abstract

Islamic studies periodically has become more mature than other period before. In western countries, the matter of this study becomes so popular in the scope of religious scholars. In this regard, the fact is that the discourses of Islamic studies are needed to response any problems, challenges that comes ahead. For Islamic studies variety of scientific approach and method develops due to the emerged multiple perspectives, tendency and orientation externalized from each methodologist. This scheme is actually prompted various methodological problems in relation with paradigm, method and phenomenology. This paper is trying to trace and find two pivotal things which become the basic idea of Richard Martin's thoughts. First is about the main description of Richard martin in relation with Islamic studies and second is methodological insight presented by martin in terms of Islamic studies. The keyword of Richard C. Martin’s ideas is “Data Fields”. It plays as a constructive criticism for Islamic Studies. His view maintains the issues on religious studies and the responds of Muslim writers. It also touches the themes of scripture and prophet, ritual and community, religion and society, scholarship and interpretation, challenge and criticism.

Abstract

This study describes the maps and strategies of developing the distribution of zakat, infak, and alms (ZIA) in Jombang regency. To achieve this goal, the study used field qualitative and developmental approaches, and descriptive analysis technique. The zakat mustahik and the distribution target of infak and alms in Jombang are 71,421 pre prosperous families.  supporting factors: (1) the normative basis of the Qur’an and the Hadith; (2) juridical foundation in the form of zakat law; (3) structural support; (4) operational fund guarantee; (5) organizational management system supported by the availability of building, space, and representative work facilities, and its human resources; (6) cooperation network with agencies, companies, and universities in accordance with the needs of the ZIA distribution development program. Inhibiting factors cover: (1) no development of information media available to facilitate communication of ZIA distribution programs; (2) not yet available part of human resources needed according to requirement of distribution development; (3) not yet optimal management function and organizational management as the main strength of ZIA distribution programs.

Abstract

Kidung Walisanga is a collection of Indonesian cultural heritage famous with Dhandang Gendis/Dhandang Gula. Dhandang ghendis Kidung Artati was authored by Walisanga as a medium of education and Islamic call that emphasizes the cultural basis of people as the objects. This is a kind of tasawuf education that consists of three elements: (1) concept of human being life journey, (2) journey to a perfect life, and (3) achieved result. The first two elements are got by mediation medium to utilize a pure energy in reaching a psychological effect, i.e. a purified sole and peaceful heart. While the third, emphasizes on pragmatic uses such as self protection from dangers and possessing supernatural heirloom. From linguistic perspective, kidung emphasizes on sanepan (metaphor) style. While from art perspective, it has a creative, individualization, and harmonization elements. From philosophical perspective, it has axiological values emphasizing pragmatic uses in the world. Beside all of that, there is an important element of tasawuf which is not included in kidung, i.e. guide role. Kidung, finally, is walisanga’s cultural approach model in education and Islamic call which is primarily based on community cultural basis, thus, kidung nuance shows a style fcultural Islam.

Abstract

Mustad’afin Theology in Indonesia is the new face of  al-Ma’un theology initiated by the Ahmad Dahlan. It eventually accumulates with more extensive issues and involves partnerships with other parties in order to achieve its praxis strategy. The basic assumption of  this theology is that the practice of  worship must be directly related to social concerns, with a foundation of monotheism that manifests itself  into the realm of  praxis. This finally leads to the key words of “social unity” and “social rituals” which are then developed in the context of contemporary nationhood and statehood in Indonesia. Moreover, its epistemology primarily comes from: (1) Wahhabi-Salafi ideology of  Rashid Rida, (2) the idea of    education reform of  Muhammad ‘Abduh, and (3) theology of al-Ma’un of Ahmad  Dahlan. These three basic epistemologies are equipped with a significant adaptation to seven factors, in order to be accepted as a theology of  liberators movement in Indonesia. The performance of  Mustad’afin theology is a theology that does social defense for the following conditions: (1) oppression of faith, (2) retardation, (3) suffering of economic and social status, (4) moral suffering, and (5) the threat of theologies and the existence of Indonesia. Finally, it implies the necessity of  Mustad’afin Islamic Jurisprudence to regulate the conduct of  worship and social community. Furthermore, the exclusive part of  Wahhabi-Salafi Islamic jurisprudence is no longer posed.

Abstract

This study examines the Integrated Marketing Communications (IMC) strategy carried out by Ustadh Al-Ghozali in marketing the red ginger products. IMC strategy plays an important role in the advancement and development of the Home industry. The purpose of this study was to identify the IMC strategy proposed by Al-Ghozali in marketing the red ginger products and to teach this research using a qualitative-descriptive approach with a Marketing Mix theory perspective. The results of this study describe that the IMC strategy carried out by Al-Ghozali includes two stages, namely planning and implementation. In these two stages he employs a strategy of advertising, direct marketing, direct promotion, personal selling, and public relations. The factors that support the success of the IMC strategy are the role of social media and the involvement of resellers. IMC strategy is implemented optimally. Although there are several constrained aspects, there are quite a lot of consumers, especially those in the shop who have collaborated

Abstract

A semantic problem arises around the terms Multiculturalism, Interculturalism, and Cross-Cultural. The first two terms are involved in intensive discussion, while the last term tends to be in the realm of praxis. Semantic problems begin with Multiculturalism as a term that has many meanings. This problem received a response in the form of multiculturalism as an approach to the clarity of its features. In the development of perspectives, a multiculturalism problem occurs when dealing with the term Interculturalism as a comparative approach. There are two perspective arguments; arguments that support Multiculturalism and responsive arguments. Discussion of the problem increases when “interculturalism” is used to show a specific model of “managing cultural diversity” in Quebec which is articulated in explicit opposition to Canadian multiculturalism, but differs from important respect from the European interculturalism model. The two approaches contain indications of strategic advantages in the shift to the term “interculturalism” because the term “multiculturalism” is seen as being politically tarnished over the past decade. At the height of the discussion there was criticism of the flow of Multiculturalism studies which almost completely ignored the contributions of primary disciplines, especially anthropology and social psychology, especially contact theory. Finally, three points of understanding solutions can be proposed; (1) Multiculturalism is a holistic concept and an ideological basis of recognition of cultural differences, (2) Interculturalism is a model of managing cultural differences according to different regional cultural bases, (3) Cross-cultural interaction patterns, action programs, skills, and conflict management instruments.

Abstract

This study aims to explain the Nahdlatul Ulama and Muhammadiyah Da'wah Methods in accelerating COVID-19 vaccination in East JavaThis research is qualitative research using data collection tools through interviews, documentation and observations from related parties. This research is based on data that East Java is the region with the highest COVID-19 vaccine achievement in Indonesia and the involvement of Nahdlatul Ulama and Muhammadiyah in this achievement. The results of this study indicate that Nahdlatul Ulama and Muhammadiyah use the da'wah qudwah hasanah and da'wah bi al ḥāl methods in the process of accelerating the COVID-19 vaccination. The qudwah hasanah da'wah is carried out by publishing the figures of their respective organizations when carrying out COVID-19 vaccination activities as a form of qudwah or examples for their respective members. As for the da'wah bill with the implementation of COVID-19 vaccination in several places and educational institutions of Nahdlatul Ulama and Muhammadiyah, besides that Muhammadiyah also formed a special agency called MCCC (Muhammadiyah COVID-19 Command Center). From these various activities, the two organizations contributed to the success of achieving the COVID-19 vaccination target in East Java.

Abstract

This article describes the manifestation of religious moderatism in the Surabaya urban multicultural community. This study aims to reveal symbol of religious moderatism, involvement of figures in the practice of religious moderatism, religious rituals, and social values are manifested from the attitude of religious moderatism in the Surabaya urban multicultural community. The results of this study show that the religious tolerance that exists in multicultural and multi-religious communities in Surabaya is reflected in the manifestation of religious moderatism in the form of specific symbols shown by the people of Surabaya in social interaction. In addition, the involvement of community leaders, religious leaders, and regional leaders who work together to strengthen religious moderation also are needed. The attitudes and behaviour of Surabaya people in interacting with the multi-religious community. The Last, namely the form of values that appear in the civilized, balanced, tolerant behaviour of Surabaya people, deliberation, prioritizing priorities, spreading peace, dynamic and innovative, firm, the principle of equality, always taking the middle way or wasathiyyah. This study argues that the synergy of all parties plays an essential role in the growth, preservation, and development of religious moderatism in a multicultural metropolitan society.
