Abstract

Kerajinan bordir di Pematangsiantar merupakan bagian integral dari warisan budaya lokal yang kaya. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk melakukan analisis sosial dan ekonomi terhadap kerajinan bordir sebagai warisan budaya di Pematangsiantar. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah kombinasi antara studi literatur, observasi lapangan, dan wawancara mendalam dengan para pengrajin bordir serta pemangku kepentingan terkait. Analisis sosial mencakup identifikasi praktik budaya yang terkait dengan pembuatan bordir, peran perempuan dalam pengembangan kerajinan ini, serta cara bordir menjadi bagian dari identitas budaya masyarakat setempat. Sementara itu, analisis ekonomi mempertimbangkan nilai ekonomi kerajinan bordir dalam perekonomian lokal, dampaknya terhadap penghidupan pengrajin, serta tantangan dan peluang dalam memasarkan produk bordir secara lokal maupun global. Temuan dari penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa kerajinan bordir di Pematangsiantar tidak hanya memainkan peran penting dalam melestarikan warisan budaya, tetapi juga memiliki potensi ekonomi yang signifikan. Namun, tantangan seperti pemenuhan pasar yang berkelanjutan dan pendidikan generasi muda dalam mempertahankan tradisi bordir perlu ditangani secara serius untuk menjaga keberlanjutan kerajinan ini sebagai warisan budaya yang hidup dan berdaya saing.

Abstract

Film merupakan medium komunikasi yang tidak hanya mengandalkan dialog verbal, tetapi juga bahasa tubuh sebagai sarana penyampaian pesan emosional. Penelitian ini berangkat dari fenomena penggunaan bahasa tubuh dalam film Lisan yang menampilkan dinamika psikologis tokoh melalui ekspresi non-verbal. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk menganalisis bagaimana penyutradaraan memanfaatkan bahasa tubuh, realisme, mise en scène, serta teknik kamera dalam memperkuat penyampaian emosi kepada penonton. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah kualitatif dengan pendekatan analisis deskriptif. Data diperoleh melalui studi kepustakaan, telaah film, serta analisis visual terhadap adegan-adegan kunci. Fokus penelitian diarahkan pada pengamatan representasi bahasa tubuh, keterkaitannya dengan elemen sinematik, serta efektivitas penyutradaraan dalam menghadirkan kedalaman emosi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa bahasa tubuh memainkan peran sentral dalam membangun karakterisasi tokoh dan alur dramatik film. Ekspresi wajah, postur tubuh, gerakan tangan, dan kontak mata terbukti lebih efektif dibandingkan dialog dalam menyampaikan konflik batin. Penerapan pendekatan realisme, pengaturan mise en scène, serta teknik kamera yang konsisten semakin memperkuat makna emosional yang tersampaikan kepada penonton. Kesimpulannya, penyutradaraan film Lisan dinilai efektif dalam menghadirkan realitas psikologis tokoh melalui ekspresi non-verbal. Integrasi bahasa tubuh dengan elemen sinematik lain menciptakan pengalaman menonton yang imersif, komunikatif, dan emosional.

Abstract

Heart disease is the leading cause of death and poses a major challenge to global health systems. The classification of heart disease risk factors is crucial for preventing serious indications, but the challenge is that detection of this disease is often hampered because the classification process is not yet sufficiently accurate. This study aims to develop a heart disease risk classification model using a machine learning approach on a 2025 dataset consisting of 6025 patient data with 14 features. After going through the data collection stage and determining the attributes for comparing the performance of machine learning algorithms (Naive Bayes, K-Nearest Neighbors, and Decision Tree), it was found that the Decision Tree algorithm provided the best performance with an accuracy of 86%, followed by the K -Nearest Neighbors algorithm with an accuracy of 78% and the Naive Bayes algorithm with an accuracy of 76%.

Abstract

According to the definition of American Heritage (2007), design is: "Composing or noting; create," and "formulate a plan." Creative mug design is an activity in making one of the merchendise in terms of supporting a branding activity. SMK Pangeran Antasari is the first school to have a Visual Communication Design (DKV) department in Deli Serdang. Therefore, we took the initiative to provide training that can add insight into the design of students at SMK Pangeran Antasari, especially in the DKV department. Through this training, it can also increase students' creativity and foster an interest in entrepreneurial spirit in them. This training is theoretical and practical directly by involving students to design with the size of the mug given and also do their respective mug press with good guidance. The results of this training were able to design and then apply the design to the coated ceramic mug media that had been provided.

Abstract

This study aims to produce a company profile video for the Faculty of Technology, Battuta University, Medan using Adobe Premiere CC 2019 software. This company profile video is designed to provide a clear picture of the vision, mission, organizational structure, facilities, and superior programs at the Faculty of Technology, Battuta University, Medan. The production process of this video goes through several stages, namely planning, shooting, processing visual materials, and editing to produce a video that is in accordance with the communication objectives to be conveyed. Adobe Premiere CC 2019 was chosen as the main tool in video editing because of the ability of this software to provide various professional editing features, such as transition settings, visual effects, color adjustments, and audio processing that supports the quality of the final video results. The results of this study are in the form of a company profile video that can be used as a promotional media, which is expected to improve the image and attractiveness of the Faculty of Technology, Battuta University, Medan in the eyes of prospective students and the general public. With this video, it is hoped that information about the faculty can be conveyed more effectively and attractively.

Abstract

Organizational culture is now a major focus in the business world due to the various benefits it offers. This culture creates an internal company atmosphere that can spur creativity and motivation, leading to increased work performance. With a solid and positive organizational culture, company performance can improve significantly, boosting productivity and effectiveness. Furthermore, job satisfaction is a crucial factor influencing employee performance. Employers need to pay special attention to job satisfaction and work motivation to boost individual and overall organizational performance. Excellent employee performance will ultimately improve the quality and efficiency of the company or organization. This research is a descriptive study with a qualitative approach. To achieve this objective, the data collection technique used data collection through interviews and documentation. Interviews were conducted directly with sources (informants) involved in PT Traktor Kuning, namely the Deputy Manager of PT Traktor Kuning, the Head of IT at PT Traktor Kuning Deli Serdang, and PSDS Deli Serdang employees.

Abstract

Perancangan Prototype Kanopi Pelindung Jemuran Berbasis Internet Of thing dirancang untuk memudahkan masyarakat dalam proses penjemuran pakaian atau makanan secara efektif. Saat ini banyak masyarakat yang mendapatkan masalah pada proses penjemuran, hujan yang turun secara tiba-tiba membuat masyarakat kesulitan dalam proses pengangkatan jemuran. Oleh sebab itu dirancang prototype kanopi pelindung jemuran berbasis Internet of thing yang terintergrasi dengan aplikasi blynk dengan memanfaatkan tiga sensor yang dipasang yang berfungsi untuk memonitoring dan mendapatkan data cuaca. Yaitu : sensor hujan berfungsi untuk mendeteksi turunnya hujan, sensor cahaya berfungsi untuk mendeteksi gelap atau cerahnya cahaya dan sensor suhu yang berfungsi untuk mendeteksi perubahan suhu. berdasarkan kesimpulan data yang didapatkan dari ketiga sensor tersebut, pengguna dapat memutuskan untuk menutup atau membuka kanopi yang digerakkan menggunakan motor servo. Sehingga proses penjemuran dapat dilakukan secara efektif.. Kata kunci:  Internet of thing, Blynk, Kanopi, Monitoring cuaca, Jemuran.

Abstract

Background: Adolescents are an age group experiencing various behavioral changes, including changes in food consumption patterns influenced by technological advances, social environments, and modern lifestyles. One of the changes that is often found is the increase in fast food consumption. Excessive fast food consumption can have negative impacts on health, including increasing the risk of obesity, hypertension, diabetes mellitus, dyslipidemia, digestive disorders, and various other non-communicable diseases. Low knowledge about the health impacts of fast food consumption is also a factor that causes this consumption behavior to continue to increase, so efforts are needed to increase adolescent awareness about the importance of healthy eating patterns. Objective: This community service activity aims to increase the level of knowledge and awareness of students regarding the impact of fast food consumption on health through the implementation of a health education program. The activity was carried out at MTsN 2 Deli Serdang Regency, involving 45 students as participants. Method: The approach used includes delivering material through health counseling using presentation media and leaflets, interactive discussions, question and answer sessions, and knowledge evaluation through pre-tests and post-tests. Results: There was an increase in participants' knowledge after participating in the socialization activity with an average pre-test score of 44.4 increasing to 88.9 in the post-test, indicating an increase in knowledge of 44.5 points. The results of the activity indicate that health socialization is effective in increasing adolescents' knowledge and awareness regarding the negative impacts of fast food consumption on health. This increased understanding is expected to encourage the formation of healthier eating behaviors as a preventive measure to reduce the risk of various diseases in the future.
