Abstract

Dynamic systems are a modeling approach to understanding the behavior of complex systems that change over time through cause-and-effect relationships between variables. In agricultural practice, fertilization is an important part of crop care, where some of the need for chemical fertilizers is met through government subsidies. However, the remaining needs must be met with high-priced non-subsidized fertilizers, resulting in increased operational costs. This condition also occurs in Gombang Village, one of the villages located in Pakel District, Tulungagung Regency, which faces similar challenges in managing agricultural costs, so the dynamic systems approach is relevant to analyzing the effectiveness of fertilizer use in increasing farmer profitability in the area. This dynamic system is carried out with the help of STELLA software, STELLA is used to design a strategy to increase profitability by compiling two scenarios. The first scenario, the use of superior seeds increases the average profitability by 31,271,686,263. The second scenario, the use of semi-organic fertilizers increases the average profitability by 38,494,816,533.

Abstract

Analisis faktor-faktor yang mempengaruhi produktivitas pertanian padi dilakukan dengan menggunakan pendekatan Partial Least Squares Structural Equation Modeling (SmartPLS). Observasi dilakukan dengan penyebaran kuesioner kepada petani di Desa Senjayan, Kabupaten Nganjuk untuk mengidentifikasi hubungan kausal antar variabel. Hasil outer model menunjukkan bahwa sebagian besar indikator valid dan reliable, kecuali A4, B1, B2, dan B3. Secara struktural variabel Person pada tingkat pendidikan (A2) terbukti berpengaruh secara signifikan terhadap adaptasi teknologi (A3) yang kemudian berkontribusi pada peningkatan efisiensi biaya operasional. Nilai R-square sebesar 0,682 mengindikasikan bahwa model mampu menjelaskan 68,2% variabilitas profitabilitas petani. Dengan demikian penelitian ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan produktivitas pertanian khususnya pada tanaman pangan padi dengan pendekatan SmartPLS efektif digunakan untuk memetakan dan menganlisis faktor-faktor utama dalam pengembangan strategi dan pengambilan keputusan yang tepat untuk pertanian secara berkelanjutan.

Abstract

Agriculture is a crucial sector in Tampingmojo Village, where approximately 60.94% of the area comprises rice fields. However, declining crop productivity each year due to factors like fertilizer use, seed quality, and cultivation practices poses a threat to local food security. This research aims to formulate an optimal scenario model to enhance farmer productivity and profits using a dynamic systems approach. The model was developed through stages including CLD and SFD construction, validation, sensitivity analysis, scenario establishment, and selection of the best scenario. Fertilizer and seed variables were prioritized due to their significant impact on productivity and profit. Historical data from 2019–2023 served as the base model for validation and testing. Simulation using STELLA revealed that Scenario 3, applying optimal doses of urea and phonska combined with organic fertilizer substitution, is the most effective. This scenario increased productivity by 18.10% (Inpari, MT 1), 19.95% (Ciherang, MT 2), and 21.94% (Pioneer, MT 2 & 3), while raising profits by 78.72% (Inpari, MT 1 & 2) and 63.73% (Bisi, MT 2 & 3) compared to existing conditions. Thus, this scenario is recommended as a policy direction to support improved productivity, farmer income, and strengthen local food security.

Abstract

Blitar merupakan kabupaten penghasil bahan pangan yang aktif di Provinsi Jawa Timur. Salah satu kecamatan yang turut berkontribusi dalam penghasil bahan pangan ialah Kecamatan Talun, khususnya Desa Bendosewu. Mayoritas petani pada desa ini menanam padi, jagung, dan cabai rawit. Seiring dengan bertambahnya penduduk, kebutuhan akan pangan juga akan meningkat. Hal ini akan menjadi tantangan bagi masa yang akan datang. Ketahanan pangan berkelanjutan dapat menerapkan mendefinisikan melalui pendekatan Triple Bottom Line (People, Planet, Profit). Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk membuat skenario model sistem dinamis dengan stella. Dengan metode sistem dinamis akan diketahui skenario yang paling optimal dari faktor yang paling berpengaruh yang dapat meningkatkan profit petani di Desa Bendosewu. Skenario dapat digunakan sebagai pertimbangan bagi stakeholder  untuk meningkatkan pendapatan  petani dan tercapainya ketahanan pangan yang berkelanjutan. Pada Desa Bendosewu, rata-rata keuntungan awal sebesar Rp.45.074.170.765. Skenario usia petani dengan adaptasi teknologi mampu meningkatkan sebesar 1,437%, penggunaan pupuk sebesar 18,654%, dan penggunaan jenis bibit jagung sebesar 8,916%. Skenario paling optimal adalah skenario gabungan dari keselurahan faktor dengan persentase sebesar 26,946%.

Abstract

Kabupaten Blitar merupakan salah satu wilayah di Provinsi Jawa Timur yang memiliki potensi besar dalam sektor pertanian, dengan nilai Indeks Ketahanan Pangan sebesar 86,43 pada tahun 2024. Tercapainya ketahanan pangan berkelanjutan terdapat tantangan pada tiga pilar utama berkelanjutan: ekologi (panet), ekonomi (profit), dan sosial (person). Penelitian ini dilakukan dengan menggunakan pendekatan sistem dinamis dengan tiga sub model yang mencerminkan keberlanjutan: people, planet, profit. Penggunaan pendekatan model dinamis memungkinkan untuk menganalisis keterkaitan antara variable jenis komoditas, hasil produksi, biaya operasional, serta pendapatan petani dalam sistem pertanian di Desa Kamulan, sehingga memungkinkan menyusun simulasi berbagai skenario. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis model skenario adaptasi teknologi modern, penggunaan varietas unggul bibit jagung dan substitusi pupuk cair organik urin kambing untuk mengetahui skenario mana yang dapat menghasilkan keuntungan optimal guna mencapai ketahanan pangan berkelanjutan di Desa Kamulan. Skenario adaptasi penggunaan teknologi modern mampu meningkatkan keuntungan petani keseluruhan sebesar 1.06%, skenario penggunaan varietas unggulan bibit jagung yang mampu meningkatkan keuntungan petani keseluruhan sebesar 2.56% dan skenario subtitusi penggunaan pupuk organik cair urin kambing yang mampu meningkatkan keuntungan petani keseluruhan sebesar 1%. Model skenario yang menghasilkan keuntungan optimal terdapat pada skenario penggantian varietas unggul bibit jagung yang dapat meningkatkan keuntungan petani dari Rp. 79.367.510.698 menjadi Rp. 81.450.120.501.

Abstract

Abstract: One of the important challenges the industry faces is the problem of raw material inventory, so good inventory management is essential. This management results in the emergence of inventory costs comparable to the company's operational costs. Inventory deviations in an industry can be in the form of less or more inventory caused by inaccurate inventory calculations, such as those experienced by PT SLU. The condition of PT SLU shows that the products produced have decreased while raw materials have an excess inventory of more than 15,000 kg. This study aims to determine the quantity of flour raw materials to achieve optimal inventory costs at PT SLU. The method used is the Markov chain and enumeration method to determine the optimal amount of raw materials to reduce costs. The research findings indicate that policy 58 yields the lowest expected cost of Rp. 32,463,360 compared to other policies. Therefore, it is suggested that improvements be implemented, such as if the system is in states 3, 4, 5, or 6, for long-term policy. This condition can help companies create strategies to reduce overstock, particularly of raw flour materials.

Abstract

Desa Pasirharjo dalam penelitian ini dianalisis bertujuan untuk merancang strategi ketahanan pangan berkelanjutan melalui pendekatan sistem dinamis, dengan studi kasus di Desa Pasirharjo, Kecamatan Talun, Kabupaten Blitar. Fokus utama penelitian adalah pengurangan penggunaan pupuk dan pestisida kimia, peningkatan pH tanah, serta optimalisasi hasil pertanian guna meningkatkan profitabilitas petani dan menjaga keberlanjutan sistem pertanian desa. Metode penelitian melibatkan analisis faktor menggunakan SmartPLS untuk mengidentifikasi variabel-variabel kunci, serta pemodelan sistem dinamis dengan bantuan software STELLA untuk mensimulasikan skenario kebijakan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa di Desa Pasirharjo, pengurangan pupuk kimia sebesar 20–30% dan peralihan ke pupuk organik dapat menurunkan biaya produksi hingga 32%/tahun atau sekitar Rp1,068,635,888/tahun. Penggunaan pestisida nabati juga memberikan dampak positif, meskipun belum seefektif strategi pengelolaan pupuk dan pH tanah. Oleh karena itu, pelatihan, pendampingan, dan penguatan kapasitas petani menjadi hal yang diperlukan. Secara keseluruhan, model sistem dinamis terbukti efektif dalam merancang kebijakan pertanian berkelanjutan yang mampu meningkatkan efisiensi, produksi, dan ketahanan pangan desa. Abstract

This study investigates agricultural sustainability and food security in Bungur Village, Nganjuk Regency, East Java, by addressing critical challenges such as an aging farming population, heavy reliance on chemical fertilizers, and recurring pest infestations. To identify key determinants, Structural Equation Modelling–Partial Least Squares (SEM–PLS) was employed, while system dynamics modeling using STELLA software was applied to simulate three alternative intervention scenarios. The simulation results demonstrate that the adoption of semi-organic fertilizers increases profit by approximately 1% (Rp106.4 million), the use of environmentally friendly pest management enhances profit by 12% (Rp117.8 million), and the combined application of both strategies yields the highest improvement, with a 16% increase (Rp122.3 million) compared to the baseline condition (Rp105.6 million per hectare annually). Model reliability was confirmed through validation tests using mean comparison error (≤5%) and variance explained (≤30%). These findings highlight that integrated interventions are effective in improving productivity, profitability, and sustainability, while also providing incentives to encourage greater youth participation in agriculture. Nonetheless, the scope of this study is limited to Bungur Village and focuses exclusively on rice, shallots, and corn, without accounting for farmer-level heterogeneity. Future studies are recommended to extend the model to wider geographical contexts and incorporate factors such as climate variability and market fluctuations.

Abstract

Sustainable agricultural systems require efficient input management to achieve optimal results in both productivity and profitability. This study aims to develop a system dynamics model to explore strategies for increasing productivity and cost efficiency in sustainable agriculture. The research was conducted in Singkalan Village, Balongbendo District, Sidoarjo Regency using STELLA software to build a simulation model. This model captures the relationship between key variables, including the use of superior crop varieties and semi-organic fertilizer, rice and corn yields, operational costs, and farmer profits. Three management scenarios were tested: (1) increasing productivity through superior varieties, (2) reducing operational costs by applying semi-organic fertilizer by 25%, and (3) combining the two approaches. The simulation results show that the combination of scenarios provides the best results, with an increase in rice productivity of 3.96%, a reduction in operational costs of 16.29%, and a profit for rice farmers of 1.27%. These results highlight the effectiveness of the system dynamics approach in assessing input-based policy interventions and supporting sustainable profit-oriented decision making in agriculture. Abstract

Desa Sentul is a village where 74% of its total area is agricultural land primarily used for rice cultivation, This research aims to analyze the factors influencing food security and farmer profitability in Sentul Village, Jombang Regency, and to develop a system dynamics model to support agricultural sustainability. Using a Triple Bottom Line approach with SMART PLS, the analysis results show that age, technology adoption, pest attacks, fertilizer use, and soil pH significantly impact productivity and food security. The system dynamics model developed with STELLA illustrates the relationships between these factors and highlights the importance of proper fertilizer and pest management. Three simulation scenarios were tested to increase farmer productivity and profit, with Scenario 3 (a combination of technological and organic approaches) showing the most optimal results, increasing rice productivity by up to 14%, reducing operational costs by up to 21%, and increasing profit by Rp2,507,146,451. The study also includes risk analysis and mitigation strategies for scenario, which are expected to reduce challenges and enhance agricultural sustainability in Sentul Village.
