Abstract

Lighting is still largely dependent on PLN, which can be replaced with sunlight, the electrical energy of which can be stored in batteries. To regulate this electrical energy source, a DC-DC converter is needed. This converter functions to change the voltage according to needs, one of the methods applied is using a bidirectional dc/dc converter. In this method the charging and discharging processes are controlled using proportional integral control analytical methods. Implementation of a bidirectional dc-dc converter for lighting using a DC system is more efficient compared to an AC system because part of the system's power is absorbed by the inverter.

Abstract

Lari merupakan olahraga yang efektif untuk membakar kalori. Namun, olahraga ini mempunyai dampak negatif bagi pelari yang mampu memicu serangan jantung sehingga dibutuhkan alat kesehatan untuk mendeteksi frekuensi denyut nadi saat berlari. Tujuan penelitian ini merancang sistem monitoring frekuensi denyut nadi secara real time pada pelari dengan menggunakan easily plugin pulse sensor berbasis photoplethysmographic. Sensor tersebut terdiri atas transmitter dan receiver infrared yang dipasang pada ujung jari tengah yang mana melalui jaringan kulit mampu mendeteksi volume darah. Fitur buzzer digunakan sebagai alarm jika denyut jantung mencapai 170 Beat Per Minute (BPM). Alat ini juga dilengkapi dengan aplikasi Android yang memudahkan pihak lain memonitoring keadaan denyut nadi pelari. Bluetooth HC-05 sebagai modul komunikasi data antara Arduino dan Android. Alat yang dirancang memiliki error maksimum sebesar 0,73% berdasarkan data percobaan dari 5 partisipan. Berdasarkan hasil pengujian, sistem monitoring frekuensi denyut nadi secara real time mampu mendeteksi serangan jantung saat berlari dan adanya fitur data logger digunakan untuk rekap medis keadaan frekuensi denyut jantung saat berlari tanpa menggunakan aplikasi smartphone Android. AbstractRunning is the most popular workout around the world, because the most accessible, the cheapest and organized sport. However, running is dangerous in people suffering from heart disease. Hence, the medical device to detect heart failure for runners is required. In this paper, a monitoring system and data logger for detecting heart pulse by using easily plugin pulse sensor heart beat and its implementation for runners is newly proposed. The proposed method of sensor to detect the heart beat by using Photoplesthymograph principle. The sensor consists of transmitter and receiver infrared through to skin tissue to detect the blood volume. Different to previous work, the proposed device can be real time to monitor runners while running and have alarm when their heart beat reach 170 BPM. This device is also equipped with an Android application that facilitate other parties to monitor the runner’s heart beat. By using OMRON HEM-7203 as comparison devices, the rate error of measurement result is 0,086% within 5 participans. The proposed device is suitable for heart pulse monitoring system for runners in real time to reduce the heart attack while running.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengidentifikasi pandangan dan persepsi pengajar mengenai kontribusinya terhadap pengelolaan dan perancangan kebijakan pendidikan di lingkungan perguruan tinggi. Penelitian ini menggunakan survei dan kuesioner. Sampel ditentukan dengan metode simple random sampling. Sampelnya meliputi pengajar dan siswa. Hasil penelitian mengungkapkan bahwa pengetahuan, kemampuan menghasilkan, dan menyebarkan pengetahuan dari pengajar, serta sikap siswa dalam berpartisipasi merupakan faktor utama penentu mutu pendidikan di perguruan tinggi. Namun, pengajar cenderung kurang memperhatikan atau tidak mempunyai pengetahuan luas tentang sistem kredit homogen. Pendapat para pengajar menunjukkan bahwa mereka menilai kualitas terutama berdasarkan pencapaian tujuan dan sasaran yang ditetapkan oleh lembaganya, serta kemampuan staf pengajar dalam mengembangkan kemampuan siswa untuk maju dalam transformasi dirinya sendiri.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menjelaskan dan menganalisis apakah penerapan manajemen dalam bidang olahraga memberikan hasil yang lebih baik. Teknik pengumpulan data yang digunakan meliputi membaca, wawancara, analisis dokumen, dan observasi. Peneliti menggunakan statistik univariat. Peneliti mengamati bahwa organisasi dengan manajemen profesional di bidangnya biasanya mencapai keseimbangan ekonomi yang lebih baik. Klub olahraga dengan manajemen profesional juga cenderung mencapai hasil yang lebih baik dalam mengelola sumber daya dan biaya. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa kesehatan finansial dan operasional dapat menghasilkan manfaat yang signifikan. Selain itu, manajemen yang baik juga dapat membantu dalam hal pengelolaan biaya operasional yang lebih efisien, serta meningkatkan produktivitas secara menyeluruh.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis pengaruh Individual Qualities, Competence, dan School Culture terhadap performa guru di sekolah swasta. Dalam konteks pendidikan, performa guru merupakan faktor krusial yang menentukan kualitas pembelajaran dan keberhasilan peserta didik. Sekolah swasta di wilayah Jabodetabek menjadi subjek dalam penelitian kuantitatif ini. Sebanyak 150 pendidik menjadi responden melalui penyebaran kuesioner, dan hasilnya dianalisis menggunakan regresi linier berganda. Temuan penelitian menunjukkan bahwa performa guru di sekolah swasta dipengaruhi secara positif dan signifikan oleh tiga variabel independen, yaitu school culture, individual qualities, dan competence. Individual Qualities, yang mencakup sikap, motivasi, dan etika kerja, berkontribusi besar terhadap dedikasi dan efektivitas guru. Competence atau kompetensi profesional juga terbukti meningkatkan kualitas pengajaran dan pencapaian hasil belajar. Sementara itu, budaya sekolah yang suportif dan kolaboratif memberikan lingkungan kerja yang kondusif sehingga memperkuat performa guru. Temuan ini memberikan implikasi praktis bagi pihak manajemen sekolah dalam merancang strategi peningkatan mutu pengajaran melalui pengembangan karakter individu, pelatihan kompetensi, serta penanaman budaya sekolah yang positif.

Abstract

A 3-phase electric motor is one of the key components in industrial production processes. In industrial activities, electric motors play a significant role in the production process, as almost all machines in the industry use electric motors as their driving force. This type of motor is susceptible to overcurrent, caused either by an overload or excessive current. Common disturbances that may occur in a 3-phase electric motor include: high starting current, overcurrent, overvoltage, undervoltage, underfrequency, and short circuit undervoltage. A protection system is needed to minimize the losses caused by these disturbances, making it essential to conduct a protection system analysis to be installed on the motor. Using the Multi-Function Meter SMART 7KT as a device capable of detecting these disturbances and taking the necessary protective actions, the protection system employs a PLC (Programmable Logic Controller) and HMI (Human Machine Interface) as the interface for controlling and monitoring the protection system on the electric motor, communicated via Modbus RTU. Therefore, this protection system can safeguard the 3-phase electric motor from disturbances such as large starting current, overcurrent, undervoltage (-10% from normal voltage), overvoltage (+5% from normal voltage), and underfrequency. With this developed protection system, the risk of damage to critical or vital 3-phase electric motors can be minimized

Abstract

This study investigates the relationship between soil stabilization techniques and sustainable foundation engineering practices, focusing on the environmental, economic, and technical aspects of various stabilization methods. The research employs a qualitative approach, specifically a literature review, to explore the effectiveness of conventional soil stabilization techniques, such as cement and lime, as well as emerging sustainable alternatives, including the use of industrial byproducts like fly ash and innovative microbial stabilization. The findings reveal that while traditional methods are effective in enhancing soil properties, they are associated with significant environmental and economic drawbacks, particularly due to high CO2 emissions from cement production. On the other hand, alternative techniques such as fly ash stabilization and microbial-based solutions offer significant environmental benefits by reducing carbon footprints and providing cost-effective, sustainable alternatives. Additionally, the integration of environmental, economic, and technical factors into decision-making frameworks is essential for promoting sustainable foundation engineering practices. The study highlights the importance of adopting green technologies to achieve sustainability in foundation engineering and recommends further research into the long-term performance and scalability of alternative stabilization methods. Moreover, future studies should focus on developing standardized guidelines and exploring the role of policy and regulations in supporting sustainable practices in construction.

Abstract

The 110VDC supply at the substation serves as a supply for the control and protection system at the cubicle panel. In addition, the 110VDC battery used as a backup supply plays an important role when the main supply source is lost. Loss of supply 110VDC is fatal to the electrical system. Causes electrical interference cannot be monitored and protection failure. 110VDC batteries may experience voltage drops. There are several ways to keep the battery in good condition when used, one of them with a charging system which functions to maintain the condition battery. This system uses a Buck converter circuit with charging pulses through the duty cycle can distribute high electric current to battery. With a Buck converter output voltage of 111 Volt 6.54 A at duty cycle 55% using dummy load. Test results with a voltage of 110VDC and a current of 5A in testing with dummy load of 10Ω480W obtained voltage output of 103VDC and current of 8.40A, in testing with dummy load of 10Ω400W received voltage output of 136VDC and current of 6.28A, in testing with dummy load of 12Ω500W received voltage output of 122VDC and current of 6.00 A, in testing with dummy load of 15Ω500W received voltage output of 127VDC and current of 5.88 A, in testing with dummy load of 11Ω500W received voltage output of 111VDC and current of 6.54A. From the overall test data by providing a load in the form of a dummy load, an average error of 9.86% was obtained.
