Abstract

The Human Development Index (HDI) is one of the parameters usedto measure development success. HDI is measured based on the levelof education, health and expenditure. Central Java Province has alower HDI value compared to other provinces in Java and is lowerthan its national level and only superior to East Java. So that thesample used in this research is 35 regencies/cities in Central JavaProvince during 2015-2018. The type of data used is secondary datasourced from BPS Central Java and other sources related toresearch. The dependent variable in this study was the HDI and theindependent variable consisted of poverty level, population, inflation,GRDP and regency/city minimum wages in Central Java Province. This study aims to see how the influence of the independent variableson the dependent variable using panel data analysis techniquesthrough the best model selection test, namely the chow test and thehausman test. Where chosen the best regression results Fixed EffectModel which shows that the poverty level variable has a negative andsignificant effect on HDI, economic growth variables and district /city minimum wages have a positive and significant effect on HDI,while the population and inflation variables do not have a significanteffect on HDI in Central Java Province.

The goal of this study is to look at how inflation, exchange rates, exports, and imports affected Belgium's economic growth between 2002 and 2022. The strategy utilized in this study is different straight relapse with the Normal Least Square (OLS) technique. Information on Gross domestic product, expansion, trade rates, commodities and imports were taken from the Worldbank. The outcomes showed that the commodity variable affects Belgium's monetary development. Import factors significantly affect Belgium's financial development. In the interim, expansion and conversion scale factors significantly affect Belgium's monetary development.

Abstract

This study investigates the interplay between poverty, open unemployment, and the Gender Development Index (IPG) on regional economic growth in Central Java from 2017 to 2023, using GRDP as the dependent variable across 30 regencies and cities. While the Fixed Effect Model reveals a significant negative effect of open unemployment on GRDP, the findings that poverty and IPG do not show statistical significance should be interpreted with caution. The absence of significance may stem from measurement limitations, temporal lags, or regional heterogeneity rather than a definitive lack of influence. Furthermore, the study acknowledges its limitation in not incorporating broader determinants of economic growth, such as capital investment, infrastructure, human capital, and institutional quality, which could contribute to omitted variable bias. The analysis would benefit from being situated within established economic growth theories, such as Solow’s neoclassical model or endogenous growth frameworks, to better justify variable selection and interpret findings within a broader theoretical and developmental context. Recognizing the long-term contributions of gender equality to economic development, future research should explore the temporal dynamics of IPG’s impact to capture delayed effects often noted in development economics.

Abstract

The purpose of this research was to determine the influence of monetary policy (interest rates and inflation) and economic factors (foreign direct investment and domestic product growth) on employment opportunities in ASEAN-6 countries. In this research using Quantitative Research Methods, the regression used is panel data regression with a random effect model using Eviews-10 software. This research shows that monetary policy (interest rates and inflation) and economic factors (foreign direct investment and domestic product growth) jointly influence employment opportunities. Individually, monetary policy (interest rates and inflation) does not affect employment opportunities. Meanwhile, the economic factors explained by foreign investment have a positive and significant influence on employment opportunities, while the growth of domestic products has a negative and significant influence on employment opportunities.

Abstract

Various factors influence foreign direct investment in Indonesia. This study's main objective is to determine the influence of foreign exchange policies resulting from exports, imports, inflation rates, and exchange rates on foreign direct investment (FDI) in Indonesia in 2018-2022. This data was obtained from the Central Statistics Agency, Bank Indonesia, Ministry of Finance and Trade. The analysis technique used in this research is multiple linear regression. Apart from that, a t-test can be carried out to determine the significance of the influence of the independent variable on the dependent variable. The calculation results show that the Export, Import, and Inflation variables in the short term and long term have a positive and significant effect on foreign direct investment in Indonesia, while the exchange rate does not have a positive and significant effect on Foreign Direct Investment. Variables This research is quantitative research using time series financial data from 2018-2022.

Abstract

One of the staple foods of the people of Indonesia besides corn is rice. East Java Province is a potential rice-producing area because most of its territory is an agricultural area. This makes the province continue to increase rice production for the continuity of Indonesia's food self-sufficiency, especially in the East Java region itself. This study aims to determine the effect of harvest area, agricultural labor, and rainfall on rice production in East Java Province during the period 2001-2021. The analysis used is the Cobb-Douglas production function with multiple regression analysis using the Eviews. The results showed that the harvest area and agricultural labor had a positive effect on rice production. Meanwhile, rainfall has no effect on rice paddy production.

Abstract

The human development index is designed to measure the extent to which the quality of human life has improved, taking into account education, health, and real per capita income. It helps in comparing national and regional human development performance. This study aims to identify the factors that influence the human development index of Central Java Province in 2023. Classical assumption tests for decision making using cross-section data. As shown by the research results, the Human Development Index is positively influenced by per capita income. Meanwhile, teachers, schools, and medical personnel have not yet been statistically able to influence the Human Development Index in Central Java Province during the 2023 period. Furthermore, regional development planners need to integrate public service quality indicators into human development evaluations to ensure that interventions are more targeted and directly impact the improvement of the Human Development Index.
