Abstract

Orientation: This research is about the development of CTL-based English instructional mate- rials of English for Specific Purpose.Research Purpose: The purpose of this study is to determine the type of contextual materials used in English language, develop English for Specific Purpose materials that integrate CTL, and assess the effectiveness of instruction by using CTL-based materials.Motivation for the study: The research provides a starting point in identificating the students need and provide them with suitable materials in the form of module.Reasearch design, Approach, and Method: The method of research was a research and development. The method of data collection were observation, interviews, study the document, portofolio, and tests. The technique of data analysis in this study used mixed method.Main Findings: The Results showed that ESP materials used POLTEK Jawa Timur looked traditional and they were focused more in using textbook, white board, and face to face interaction. CTL based materials has been developed systematically and revised based on recommendation, and the use of CTL based materials is more effective than ordinary materials.Contribution/Value-add: The process leads the lecturers in collaboratively handling students’ difficulties. It also showed the students the proper way of citation, understanding, and synthesizing the terms related to the ideas they had.

Abstract

The purpose of PPUPIK is to establish a business unit called the Center of Business and Management (CoBM) which provides training services and work practices in Human Resources Management and Marketing Management in accordance with the Indonesian National Work Competency Standards (SKKNI) and the Indonesian National Qualification Framework (KKNI) in order to improve the competence of students, tertiary education graduates and industrial employees in accordance with the competency requirements required by the world of work. The method used in this PPUPIK is through training and work practices in work laboratories that are designed the same as activities that occur in the real workplace according to BNSP standards through training and work practices in the field of Human Resources and Marketing skills at the level of competence needed by the world of work. Lecturers who have been certified in their fields and good collaboration with practitioners are expected to make this program closer to university graduates with the world of work. Expected outputs from PPUPIK are scientific articles published in ISSN journals, articles in print media, activity videos and training modules and design training models developed by the CoBM team. Increased collaboration and collaboration between universities and the industry and other universities are also expected from this program

Abstract

Abstract This research aimed to identify the effect of cooperative learning type of kartu arisan toward students learning outcomes. The research focused on the material about cell for eleventh grade science major. The research applied quasi-experimental method with non-equivalent control group design. Sample in this research was taken through intact group technique, where eleventh grade of science 1 as the experimental class and eleventh grade of science 2 as the control class. The instrument was a multiple-choice test consisting of 25 questions. The average value of students outcomes at the experimental class was 19.97. Meanwhile, the average for control class was 18.38. Using U Mann-Whitney test, the research obtained -Zcount < -Ztable there was -1.98 < -1.96. This value means that there is a significant difference of learning outcomes between students who use cooperative learning type of arisan card and those who study conventionally. The value of effect size obtained in this research was 0.45 which could be classified medium. It shows us that cooperative learning of type arisan card has an effect as much as 17.36% towards students outcomes, especially in the material of cell eleventh grade science student. Keywords: Cooperative Learning type of kartu arisan, learning outcomes, cell

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan memaparkan fungsi bahasa dan sastra melalui tradisi manopeng untuk memperkuat karakter kepemimpinan bangsa. Metode yang digunakan deskriptif kualitatif dengan teknik pengumpulan data melalui wawancara, observasi, dan dokumentasi berupa rekaman video di youtube Media Center Banjarmasin. Teknik analisis data dilaksanakan dengan empat tahap, yakni pengumpulan data, reduksi data, penyajian data, serta penarikan kesimpulan dan verifikasi. Hasil penelitian memaparkan bahwa bahasa dan sastra melalui tradisi manopeng dapat memenuhi fungsi-fungsi berikut. (1) komunikasi efektif, (2) identitas dan persatuan budaya, (3) empati dan pemahaman, (4) nilai etika dan pedoman moral, (5) inspirasi dan visi, dan (6) partisipasi dan pemberdayaan masyarakat. Ringkasnya, bahasa dan sastra dapat memperkuat kepemimpinan bangsa dengan memfasilitasi komunikasi yang efektif, membentuk identitas budaya, mempromosikan nilai-nilai etika, dan menginspirasi kepemimpinan visioner. Pemimpin yang menghargai kekuatan bahasa dan sastra lebih siap untuk terhubung dengan konstituen, membuat keputusan yang tepat, dan memimpin bangsa menuju kemajuan dan kemakmuran.

Abstract

This study aims to find out if there is a relationship between the skills of asking teachers and the motivation of learning students of class V SDN 1 dasan New School Year 2021/2022. This research is quantitative research with correlational methods. The population in the study is students of class V SDN 1 Dasan Baru numbering 61 students. The sample used in this study was quota sampling so researchers used 30 students as research samples. The data collection technique in this study used questionnaires. The data is analyzed with the help of SPSS version 16. The description of the teacher's asking skills level and student learning motivation was analyzed using descriptive analysis, and for the hypothesis test the study was analyzed using the Perason Product Moment formula with the help of SPSS version 16. Rhitung value of 0.669 then large rtabel 0.361 in the level of significance of 5% which means there is a significant and positive relationship between the teacher's questioning skills and the motivation of learning students grade V. Based on the interpretation guidelines on the coefficient of Sugiyono (2018: 257) the rhitung value of 0.669 is at intervals 0.60-0779 shows a strong relationship.

Abstract

Kebersihan lingkungan pantai merupakan salah satu faktor penting dalam menjaga kelestarian alam dan keberlangsungan pariwisata. Pantai Wonogoro, meskipun memiliki potensi wisata yang besar, masih menghadapi permasalahan terkait sampah organik dan anorganik yang mencemari lingkungan pantai. Untuk mengatasi permasalahan tersebut, Tim Pengabdian Masyarakat STIE Malangkucecwara bekerja sama dengan mahasiswa asing dari International Community Service (ICS) melakukan aksi bersih sampah di Pantai Wonogoro. Kegiatan ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan kebersihan pantai, menanamkan kesadaran masyarakat tentang pentingnya menjaga kebersihan lingkungan, serta menjadi contoh aksi nyata dalam pelestarian lingkungan. Melalui kegiatan ini, Pantai Wonogoro menjadi lebih bersih dari sampah organik dan non-organik, masyarakat mendapatkan edukasi tentang pentingnya menjaga kebersihan lingkungan, dan tim pengabdian menyumbangkan 6 tong sampah untuk memudahkan warga dalam membuang sampah. Kegiatan ini diharapkan dapat mendorong masyarakat untuk turut berpartisipasi dalam menjaga kebersihan area wisata Pantai Wonogoro

Abstract

Mathematical problem-solving skills are one of the main things in learning mathematics and must be developed in students. One of the learning models that is effective and considered capable of improving and improving mathematical problem-solving skills is the jigsaw-type cooperative learning model. This study aims to determine the effectiveness of the jigsaw-type cooperative learning model on mathematical problem-solving ability, analyze the influence of learning motivation on students' mathematical problem-solving ability on the jigsaw-type cooperative learning model, and describe mathematical problem-solving ability in terms of learning motivation in the jigsaw-type cooperative learning model. This study used mixed methods with a sequential explanatory design. The population of this study was all grade VII students of SMP N 1 Tambakromo for the 2021/2022 School Year. This research sample was obtained using a class random technique, namely class VII C students as an experimental group and class VII A students as a control group. There were 6 qualitative subjects drawn from the experimental group, namely 2 students with high learning motivation, 2 students with moderate learning motivation, and 2 students with low learning motivation. The results showed that (1) The jigsaw-type cooperative learning model is effective on students' mathematical problem-solving abilities; (2) There was a positive influence of student learning motivation on mathematical problem-solving ability in the jigsaw-type cooperative learning model of 48.4%; and (3) students with high learning motivation have high problem-solving ability, students with moderate learning motivation have moderate problem-solving ability, while students with low learning motivation.

Abstract

The 21st century is the digital age, so learning is expected to take advantage of technology. Teachers have not utilized technology as much as possible so learning in the classroom is not optimal. This study aims to develop a web-based e-module teaching material on the human reproductive system for high school/MA class XI students. The research and development model uses ADDIE. The research subjects consisted of 1 media expert, one material expert, two biology teachers, and 30 students. Data collection methods consist of observation, interviews, and questionnaires. Data analysis used descriptive qualitative and quantitative descriptive. The results showed that the assessment score of media experts was 3.82 (Very Valid); the score of material experts was 3.50 (Valid); the score of the biology teacher was 3.91 (Very Valid), and a student score of 3.46 (Valid). Therefore, it can conclude that the web-based e-module on the human reproductive system material is suitable for biology learning. Web-based e-modules can help class XI students to study independently anytime and anywhere and to understand material on the human reproductive system.

Abstract

Mangrove and sea cypress planting activities at Wonogoro Beach, Malang, East Java, are environmental conservation activities carried out by the STIE Malangkucecwara Community Service Team and international students from the International Community Service (ICS). This activity aims to overcome coastal erosion problems, preserve coastal ecosystems, improve air quality, enhance tourism potential and increase international cooperation. The implementation method includes socialising with the surrounding community and planting mangrove and sea cypress seedlings in the coastal area. This activity has been successfully implemented and positively received by the Wonogoro Beach community. Although there are several obstacles, the Community Service Team has tried to overcome them. Recommendations include continuous socialisation, monitoring and evaluation of plant growth, and collaboration with related parties to increase the effectiveness of the activities.

Abstract

Public Speaking is an oral communication skill that includes verbal, vocal, and visual (3V) aspects. The purpose of writing this article in general is to provide an overview and inform, provide inspiration and benefits for readers. This article can also be used to educate readers about the importance of public speaking. Public speaking includes preparation, conveying messages clearly, maintaining non-verbal communication, and overcoming anxiety and nervousness. The research method used is the library research method, which is a literature method that refers to books, articles, and journals. The results of this study show that social media is not only a communication tool, but also plays a role as a dynamic learning medium, especially in building public speaking skills. It can be concluded that learning public speaking in the era of social media requires an adaptive strategy to technological developments and the characteristics of the digital generation.
