Abstract

A research has been carried out on the identification of Newton's Law misconceptions in FKIP UNCEN physics education students. This study aims to describe the extent of students' misconceptions on the subject of Newton's Law. This study uses a qualitative method with a diagnostic test design that is equipped with a Certainty of Response Index (CRI) model and interviews. The data source was chosen by purposive sampling. In this study, the data source was physics semester VI FKIP UNCEN students. The focus of this research is (1) identifying misconceptions that occur in physics education students at Cenderawasih University on the topic of Newton's Law. (2) describe the percentage of misconceptions of physics education students at Cenderawasih University on the topic of Newton's Law. The results showed that 35.7% of students experienced misconceptions. Students who experienced misconceptions in Newton's First Law concept were (46.7%), in Newton's Second Law concept (33.3%), and in Newton's third Law concepts (20.0%). From the results of the interview it can be concluded that the main source of the cause of the misconception comes from the students themselves.Keywords: Misconception, Newton's Law, CRI.

Abstract

This research has been carried out with the aim of (1) knowing the relationship between learning styles and learning outcomes for physical subjects of students in class IPA2 XI SMA Negeri 1 Sentani, (2) determine the influence of learning styles on learning outcomes of students' physical subjects. IPA2 class XI SMA Negeri 1 Sentani. This research method is quantitative with the presentation of quantitative descriptive data. This research was conducted on students in Class XI SMA Negeri 1 Sentani. The population in this study were students in class XI IPA 2 SMA Negeri 1 Sentani for the academic year 2021/2022 consisting of 252 students consisting of 7 classes. While the sample used in this study was class XI IPA2 students who collected 30 students. This study uses a questionnaire instrument and the Middle Semester Assessment (PTS) of students. The results of the research and data processing show that: (1) There is no relationship between variable (X) and variable (Y) with a significance value of 0.906 > 0.05, which means Ho is accepted and Ha is rejected. (2) There is no effect of variable (X) variable (Y) which shows a significance value of 0.906 > 0.05, which means that there is no effect between variable (X) on variable (Y). This means that Ha is rejected and Ho is accepted

Abstract

Associated with the development of teaching materials that adapt changes to the old curriculum into the new curriculum, namely the 2013 curriculum using a learning model, a PBL-based module will be developed. The PBL model is one model that can play a role in problem solving for students so that students can learn independently. The purpose of this study was to see the feasibility and responses of students to PBL-based modules. This researcher which was adapted from the ADDIE development model was only limited to the development stage so that this research was carried out in 3 stages, namely Analysis, Design, and Development which were limited to limited trials. The validation of the module was carried out by 4 validators to test 6 aspects which were assessed to obtain an overall percentage of 89.1% with a very good interpretation and limited trials were carried out to 31 students of class X IPA 2 where seen from the 4 aspects that were assessed to obtain an overall percentage of 88, 2% with very good implementation. It can be concluded that the PBL-based module on momentum and impulse class X material at SMA YPPK Teruna Bakti Jayapura is very appropriate to use and the response of students to PBL-based modules on momentum and impulse material for class X at SMA YPPK Teruna Bakti Jayapura is very good

Abstract

Research has been carried out with the aim of knowing (1) increasing mastery of students' concepts by using PBL learning models, (2) differences in students' mastery of conceptual understanding between the use of PBL learning models and direct learning, (3) differences in students' critical thinking abilities between uses problem based learning model and direct learning. The method of this research is quantitative research, with quasy experimental. The experimental design used was nonequivalent pretest-posttest control group design. The population of 178 students is class VIII semester II Muhammadiyah Middle School Jayapura Academic Year 2018/2019. The sample used is class VIII D and VIII E with a total sample of 72 students. Sampling is used non probability sampling technique by means of purposive sampling. Mastery concept data was collected through pretest and posttest and critical thinking ability data were collected through posttest. The instruments used were mastery test concepts in the form of multiple choices and tests of critical thinking skills in the form of reasoned multiple choice which have been tested for validity, reliability, degree of difficulty, and differentiation. To find out the increase in mastery of students' concepts, N-gain is used. To see differences in the increase in mastery of concepts and differences in students' critical thinking skills taught with PBL models and DI models, statistical analyzes of different tests were conducted (t-test). The results showed that (1) learning with the PBL model can improve mastery of the concept of experimental class students with a moderate category of 0.67 and a control class of 0.55 (2) there are differences in the increase in mastery of concepts between the experimental class and the control class shown significance value a <0.05 which is equal to 0,000. (3) there are differences in critical thinking skills between the experimental class and the control class which are shown to be of significance value a <0.05, which is equal to 0.001.

Abstract

Research has been carried out with the aim to determine the existence of an increase and the difference in learning outcomes of students with learning using the experimental method guided inquiry method. This type of research is quantitative research with quasi experimental research methods, with a non-equivalent control group design form. This research was conducted at SMP Negeri 2 Jayapura in the academic year 2018/2019. The population is 200 students of class VIII. The research sample used was class VIIID as the experimental class and class VIIIE as the control class with a sample of 60 students. The learning result analysis technique used is n-gain analysis and t-test while the questionnaire uses percentage. The results of the research and processing of test data obtained n-gain learning outcomes of 0.69 which are in the medium category. Asymp. Sig. (2-tailed) value of 0,000 <0,05, then Ho is rejected and Ha is accepted, which means there is a difference in the increase in student learning outcomes that is significant. The results of the processed response data in the form of student questionnaires to the guided inquiry learning model are known that 60% of students respond adequately and 30% of students respond well. Then it can be concluded that the application of a guided inquiry learning model is sufficient and effective to improve student learning outcomes in vibration and wave material.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the relationship, and the effect of student satisfaction in online learning on student learning outcomes. This type of research is descriptive quantitative research. Data collection techniques used are tests and questionnaires. The data obtained were then analyzed using SPSS 16 and Microsoft Excel programs. The research was carried out at SMA Negeri 4 Jayapura for the academic year 2020/2021. The population of students is class X. The research sample is class X IPA 5 with a total sample of 32 students. In the general percentage results obtained 72% of students are satisfied with online learning.from the dimension tangible, 81% of students were satisfied. However, for thedimension assurance, 67% of students were satisfied. In the dimension empathy, 72% of students are satisfied and for the dimension reliability, the percentage figure shows 60% of students are satisfied. And on the dimension of responsiveness, 70% of students are satisfied.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengkaji kelayakan e-modul berbasis kontekstual berdasarkan penilaian dari ahli media dan ahli materi, serta mengetahui peningkatan pemahaman konsep fisika dasar mahasiswa, khususnya pada materi dinamika partikel. Dinamika partikel merupakan salah satu materi penting dalam fisika dasar yang membutuhkan pemahaman konsep yang kuat agar mahasiswa dapat mengaitkan antara teori dan fenomena nyata dalam kehidupan sehari-hari. Untuk itu, dibutuhkan media pembelajaran yang interaktif, menarik, dan sesuai konteks agar proses belajar menjadi lebih bermakna. Penelitian ini mengaplikasikan model pengembangan 4-D yang mencakup empat tahapan: pendefinisian (Define), perancangan (Design), pengembangan (Develop), dan penyebaran (Disseminate). Instrumen yang digunakan meliputi lembar penilaian produk untuk menilai kelayakan e-modul oleh para ahli, serta soal tes pemahaman konsep untuk mengukur peningkatan hasil belajar mahasiswa. Teknik analisis data untuk kelayakan produk menggunakan skala penilaian standar (skala likert), sedangkan untuk mengukur peningkatan pemahaman konsep digunakan analisis n-gain. Penelitian ini menyimpulkan bahwa e-modul materi dinamika partikel yang dikembangkan dengan pendekatan kontekstual layak diimplementasikan dalam proses pembelajaran fisika. Penilaian dari ahli media menunjukkan rerata skor sebesar 3,45, sementara dari ahli materi sebesar 3,52, keduanya termasuk dalam kategori sangat baik. Selain itu, hasil uji pemahaman konsep menunjukkan adanya peningkatan yang signifikan, dengan rata-rata skor n-gain sebesar 0,70 yang termasuk dalam kategori tinggi. Hal ini menunjukkan bahwa penggunaan e-modul berbasis kontekstual mampu meningkatkan efektivitas pembelajaran dan pemahaman konsep mahasiswa secara optimal.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui peningkatan hasil belajar peserta didik setelah diterapkan model PBL berbasis metode eksperimen pada pokok bahasan usaha dan energi dan hubungan model PBL berbasis metode eksperimen terhadap peningkatan hasil belajar peserta didik pada pokok bahasan usaha dan energi. (3) mengetahui pengaruh model PBL berbasis metode eksperimen terhadap peningkatan hasil belajar peserta didik pada pokok bahasan usaha dan energi. Jenis penelitian ini adalah penelitian kuantitatif, dengan metode penelitian pre-experimental design, dan desain penelitian one-group pretest-posttest. Populasi dari penelitian ini adalah seluruh peserta didik kelas X MIA SMA YPPK Teruna Bakti Jayapura yang berjumlah 134 peserta didik. Teknik pengambilan sampel yang digunakan adalah non probability sampling dengan cara purposive sampling, sehingga diperoleh sampel peserta didik kelas X MIA 4 berjumlah 34 peserta didik. Penelitian ini menggunakan 2 instrumen yaitu instrumen tes dan instrumen non tes. Hasil penelitian dan pengolahan data menunjukkan bahwa: (1) terdapat peningkatan hasil belajar peserta didik yang ditunjukkan oleh nilai N-Gain rata-rata sebesar 0,80 dengan kategori tinggi. (2) terdapat hubungan antara variabel X terhadap variabel Y yang ditunjukkan oleh nilai signifikansi < 0,05 yaitu sebesar 0,000 yang berarti Ho ditolak dan Ha diterima. (3) terdapat pengaruh antara variabel X terhadap variabel Y yang ditunjukkan oleh nilai signifikansi < 0,05  yaitu sebesar 0,000 yang berarti Ho ditolak dan Ha diterima.
