Abstract

Pico Hydro Power Plant (PLTPH) is one of the power plants that uses water as an energy source. Piko Hydro is included in the category of hydropower plants with small power because it does not need to use a water discharge that is too large to produce power. The tool developed in this study is a Pico Hydro Power Plant by Utilizing Flow Irrigation. The purpose of this research is to find out the results of the development of a Pico Hydro Power Plant, the electrical energy produced, and the community's response. The research method used is descriptive-quantitative with Research and Development (R&D) research and a prototype development model consisting of 4 steps, namely needs analysis, building prototypes, installing, and evaluating. The research data obtained by observation, questionnaires, and documentation. The results showed that the pico-hydro power plant works well, as indicated by the very good product validation value; the water wheel at the generator has a maximum power of 308 watts; and in development with the application of MPPT type charger control regulators, the results are able to stabilize the electrical energy produced and increase the power capability of the power plant with the help of a backup battery supply. For the results of the responses from the Kasambang Village community in Mamuju Regency, as many as 15 respondents obtained very decent results.

Abstract

This research is experimental and aims to determine the characteristics of the SP1848-27145SA generator thermoelectric module in the form of power generated and its performance as a power plant by utilizing heat energy from a combustion furnace. The method used in testing the thermoelectric characteristics of the generator is a direct experimental method by measuring the output voltage, current, hot side, and cold side of the thermoelectric and the power generated by the module attached to the combustion furnace. Thermoelectric testing of the SP1848-27145 SA generator as a power plant by utilizing heat energy from a combustion furnace with a maximum voltage generated electronic device load of 2.25 Volts at ΔT 46°C and a maximum generated power of 0.09 watt. The thermoelectric performance of the SP1848-27145 SA generator is obtained in three different configurations: single, series, and parallel. The highest thermoelectric power produced is in the series configuration, where the power obtained is 0.25 watts, while the results from the parallel arrangement have the same power value. very small, namely 0.02 watts, and the highest efficiency value only reaches 3.40%.

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to design an Android-based stock management mobile application and to find out the results of testing the Android-based stock management application. This application uses the type of research is Research and Development (R&D), which is a process or step to develop a new product or improve an existing product. This study was conducted to create a stock management application that can help store employees in stocking goods. The results of this study produce a product in the form of a stock management application that can make it easier for store employees to get stock information. This research was conducted at Wardim Store. The research data was obtained by administering questionnaires, interviews and documentation. This system was tested using ISO 25010 with 4 characteristics, namely functional suitability, portability, usability, and performance efficiency. Functional suitability testing was carried out by two expert lecturers as system validators and it was found that this application was suitable for use. Portability testing was carried out by observing the output results produced using Android smartphones in various versions, the results obtained showed that this stock management application system ran well on several versions of Android. Usability testing carried out by store employees was in the Very Good category. Performance efficiency testing is done using APPTIM by measuring real-time data for the CPU used, which is 100%, 287 Mb memory when the application is used. The developed stock management application can be used by employees at Wardim Store.

Abstract

This study focuses on the development of an Internet of Things (IoT)-based monitoring system designed to measure and control temperature, humidity, and ammonia gas levels in laying hen cages to enhance environmental management efficiency, animal welfare, and productivity. The research employs a Research and Development (R&D) method using a prototyping model conducted at UD. Ayam Ras Petelur, Gowa Regency, Indonesia. The developed system integrates DHT11, and MQ-135 sensors connected to an Android application via NodeMCU ESP8266 and Firebase, enabling real-time monitoring, visualization, and remote access. Through this integration, farmers can instantly obtain environmental data, receive notifications when parameters exceed safe thresholds, and take immediate corrective actions to maintain optimal conditions for the chickens. Evaluation based on the ISO 25010 quality model shows that the system achieves 100% functional suitability and 92.6% usability, which indicates excellent performance and high practicality for end users. Sensor accuracy testing reveals reliability rates of 97.37% for temperature, 97.83% for humidity, and 95.50% for ammonia gas concentration, confirming the system’s precision and consistency in data measurement. The results demonstrate that the IoT-based monitoring system developed in this study is highly feasible, efficient, and accurate for real-time management of poultry cage environments. Overall, this research contributes to the adoption of smart farming technologies in Indonesia’s poultry industry, promoting data-driven decision-making and sustainable livestock management practices.

Abstract

This study aims to develop and evaluate a fingerprint-based student attendance application using the FPM10A sensor integrated with Arduino and a PHP–MySQL web system at SMK Negeri 2 Luwu. The research employed a Research and Development approach with a waterfall model, and the application quality was assessed based on ISO/IEC 25010 standards covering functional suitability, usability, portability, and maintainability. Data were collected through observation, interviews, questionnaires, and documentation. The results show that all designed functions were successfully implemented, achieving full functional suitability. Usability testing involving 25 teachers yielded a score of 89.8%, categorized as excellent. The application also operated successfully across multiple browsers, confirming its portability, and demonstrated consistent maintainability through simplicity and error-handling features. The novelty of this research lies in integrating FPM10A–Arduino hardware with a lightweight web application and validating it comprehensively using ISO/IEC 25010 quality characteristics within the vocational school context. The findings contribute to improving attendance efficiency and accuracy while promoting digital transformation in school administration. Future work should include biometric performance metrics (FAR, FRR, EER), mobile platform testing, and security evaluation for biometric data protection.
